"Husband-and-wife team Alex Sherry and Chutharat Sae Tong are the driving force behind this charming neighborhood spot, which has risen to the forefront of the Sacramento pizza scene thanks to excellent ingredient-driven pies with naturally leavened crusts. The standout offering is an ever-changing daily creation highlighting seasonal toppings—as in the inspired combination of white asparagus, English peas, and ramps with peppery pecorino Calcagno. Better yet, Friday and Saturday evenings come with specials like lemony Ora king salmon crudo, crisp-skinned roast chicken, and skillfully made agnolotti with a silky filling of fava beans and mint. An exceptional assortment of natural wines (notably, grower Champagnes) further gilds the lily." - Michelin Inspector

Editing review since being back! Ive now been here a few times and have tried different slices they have. I have had a sausage slice and a mushroom slice (I believe it was a special) and they were both so so delicious! I also came and tried a new special they had that was topped with burrata, Parmesan, sliced green onions/scallions, and basil. The most recent time I went the crust was super thin and crispy, and the tomato sauce was super delicious very bright and I loved the acidity. The time before the crust was a little thicker. My friend got their cheese slice and to her it was good but not extraordinary compared to other places. They have a good sized menu of options and specials rotating. I had gotten a bottled drink but they have a nice wine selection to choose from to pair with your meal. The inside is cozy and they have a nice sized outdoor seating area. The staff were very friendly and helpful when l asked for recommendations. They bring the food to you as well which is nice. This place is very cute and would be great for a meal with friends or for a date.

Majka keeps it simple—and slays. You won’t find a 12-page pizza menu with 8,000 combos here, just fresh, local, seasonal ingredients doing the most in the least complicated way. The star? “Today’s Pizza.” It changes daily and usually leans vegetarian, but always leans delicious. Think combos like yellow peaches, mozzarella di bufala, gorgonzola, parm, arugula, and Sicilian olive oil. Just had it and it slapped. They’ve got your classic sausage, pepperoni, or cheese pizzas too, but let’s be honest—why bother? The pizza crust comes with some cilantro-level controversy. I love it. Chewy, crisp, flavorful, and that tight crumb? Yes, chef! And the green sauce? Don’t skip it. Drizzle it on your pizza, salad, situationship—whatever. It’s THAT good. It's a very small space where you sorta feel in everyone's way a bit. Picture the chaos of a Trader Joe’s aisle but with better lighting. Pro move: grab a patio seat if the weather’s cute. Parking is a pain but lightrail is nearby. Parking is a mess, but the light rail’s nearby and worth it. Staff is chill, the food isn’t drive-thru fast, but it’s surprisingly speedy even when they’re slammed. How I break down my ⭐️ reviews: 1 - No. Not if it was the last thing on DoorDash. 🗑️ 2 - Meh. Maybe if I’m desperate, close, and high. 😬 3 - Mid. Not texting the group chat about it. 🤷‍♀️ 4 - Hella solid. Planning my next visit. 😋 5 - Shut up and take my money. Om Nom Nom. 🔥

From day one, I've appreciated Majka's deliciousness, and witnessing their growth over the years – earning both community love and industry acclaim – has been truly wonderful. My visit today was outstanding; everything I ate was crazy delicious! The carefully procured produce from local farmers truly sings in every dish, offering fresh, vibrant flavors that are unmistakably in season.

Google
The pizza was great... thin crust, extra salty cheese and simple but slightly unusual combos that go really well together. The busy road outside and small venue inside makes this place more likely to be ordered take out, or as a quick bite when walking the park or downtown. Enjoy the pizza, but don't plan to stick around with a group.

Good pie that goes in your mouth hole. Great ingredients that are used well and the dough doesn't make you feel bloated. Great selection of adult refreshments. Awesome staff. Good for a date night or solo meandering.

I love the food here and all the lovely members who make it happen! It’s one of my all time favorite places to eat at and I hope they can continue to make delicious, creative, and quality food for many years to come! Their pizza of the day is always different and delicious especially with the green sauce. Their weekend special dinner items are also very scrumptious, beautifully plated and expertly crafted with love and skill. Aside from my visiting family, Majka’s would be the top reason why I’d visit Sacramento!

Google
If you're in Sacramento, Majka Pizzeria is a must-visit! I recently tried their mushroom pizza, and it was absolutely out of this world! The mushrooms were fresh and full of flavor, paired perfectly with that delicious brick-oven crunch in the dough. It's that kind of crispy yet chewy texture that you come to love. While the pizzeria does serve a range of non-vegetarian options, their vegetarian pizzas are seriously top-notch - so you don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy a phenomenal pizza here. Whether you're a meat lover or a veggie fan, there's something for everyone. I highly recommend stopping by to experience the irresistible oven-fired taste and some of the best pizza in town!

Google
You can tell that Majka is a labor of deep understanding of flavors, skill & passion, not just a restaurant. It’s no surprise they’re on the Michelin Guide’s list because it absolutely delivers on every level. The dough doesn’t use commercial yeast and is clean-tasting—nothing like the conventional, dense kind. Each pizza is a masterpiece using ingredients that are fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced. Their menu is intentionally limited, but that’s the point—every single item bursts with intention and flavor; nothing falls short. The service is warm, friendly, and welcoming. It’s probably a little on the expensive side but for this quality, I hope they never deviate from their core and I’ll absolutely keep coming back.

Yelp
Majka was good! I had a slice of their cheese pizza and it was yummy. It wasn't my favorite pizza, but I would come back and try it again. I just thought the pizza was a little too hard and it was smaller than competitors slices. Service was great though. The ambiance is also nice. I would like to come back and try some of their wine selection.

Yelp
I highly recommend this place. Pizza slices can sell out quick, but the salad and pasta dishes are amazing and seriously worth considering. Staff are super friendly and make the space have a buzz but also comfortable in a small New York restaurant kind of way. Wine selection is better than other nicer restaurants in the area. Decor and sound attenuation both need work. Very stripped down. There is something there with the patchwork of vintage china (salad size plates) they use that could be explored more.

Yelp
Dinner with Judi M! Indoor and outdoor seating, street parking is 2 hours in the vicinity. Located in between Fire Wings and the mochi donut place. Decided each on the Pizza Slice + Side Salad Weekday Special ($12), a small plate, drink, and dessert. I had a slice of the pepperoni pizza (San Marzano, mozzarella, pepperoni), and the side salad of the day had little gems lettuce, Persian cucumber, cherry tomato, haricot verts, ricotta salata cheese, and a lemon mint vinaigrette. This salad was very good, I would totally get a full-sized version! A side of their green sauce comes out to $2, and does have some spice to it, great on the pizza. I also got a bottle of Agua de Piedra sparkling mineral water ($4), and the miso chocolate chunk cookie ($4). For the small plate, I got the pasta -- housemade cavatelli with sweet Italian frying peppers and housemade Italian sausage ($18). Their other pasta was tagliatelle al pesto genovese, but I went with the cavatelli per the cashier's recommendation. Their Pizza of the Day 7/30 had eggplant, tomato, ricotta, mozz, parm. Judi got the sausage pizza (San Marzano, Italian sausage, peppers, onion, mozzarella, parmesan, herbs) Slice + Side Salad Weekday Special ($12) and the Roast Pork, Sweet Corn, Cherry Tomatoes special/small plate ($20), and sparkling water ($4). Filtered tap/still water is self-serve at the dispenser past the register. The salad was super refreshing, and the pepperoni cups were crisp, and today I learned they use organic whole grains and wild (not commercial) yeast! The pasta was also yummy, with the Italian sausage being the star of the show. I also tried a bite of the roast pork was also fresh, and the miso chocolate chunk cookie just right with umami, salty and sweet.

Yelp
I've been wanting to checkout Majka pizza even before they got on the Michelin Guide. They're a small pizza spot that serves farm to fork seasonal pizza that rotate daily. On this particular day, I came when corn was the pizza of the day, which was interesting. I felt like I was biting into a corn on the cob, but instead of the Cobb it was a pizza. The pizza tasted great. I love how the quality of the ingredients is highlighted and how I don't feel bloated after eating. I also tried to sausage pizza which tasted great. The service was good as well all the employees seems like they enjoy working their, and I love the open kitchen concept where you could see them making the food. It's a small place so I would recommend this for smaller groups. Tip, get the green sauce, I didn't know about this special green sauce until I heard other customers order it. It's life changing with the pizza! Would be back to satisfy my pizza cravings!! Good place for something a little lighter compared to other pizza places.

Yelp
Came for lunch. Got their pizza of the day which was mushrooms with a white sauce. Also got a sausage pizza and salad. The dressing on the salad was a little overpowering with the plums and too sweet. We all liked the thickness of the pizza and toppings though. Was hoping to try their pasta and small plates but didn't realize it only gets served after 4 pm. Service was good. I would like to return to try more foods.

Yelp
They do a great pizza. Beautiful flavor on the toppings. The crust is verryyy intensely crackly and chewy. Delicious and enjoyable texture, but got kind of cumbersome to chew near the end. Better than Pizzasaurus Rex. I still prefer the crust at Federalist BUT as for overall pizza, I would hazard to say that this one comes out on top. Service was friendly and the guy working the front was happy to offer recommendations for sauce, wine and other drinks, and his favorite toppings and rotating variants. The inside is kind of small. It's unpretentious and clean. Water is self-serve and you bus your own plates. It wasn't too busy on a weekday afternoon. There is also outdoor seating.

Yelp
I had heard about Majka for a long time and finally got to try it! We tried multiple items: -Salad: Seems to rotate what is contained in the salad. It was refreshing, nice variety of toppings (included marcona almonds and nectarine or peach), fresh produce. I liked that the dressing was evenly distributed. -Bucatini zucchini blossom: the bucatini is made in house, which was intriguing, and it had a butter sauce, but the butter sauce didn't have much taste and could have used more salt. I would honestly probably skip this dish, seemed like something I could throw together on my own. -Pepperoni: solid, lots of pepperoni, good cheese pull -Daily pizza: had lots of corn, which I liked. The green sauce is delicious with this. Without the sauce, I think it would have been a bit on the plain side. I don't typically eat my pizza with sauce because it's usually pretty seasoned already. The green sauce was mildly spicy, and was on the runnier side (which I enjoy in a sauce...I don't typically like my sauce too thick/gelatinous) -Sausage: Least favorite. Sausage topping was somewhat sparse, and the pizza was a bit too saucy to the point of making the pizza soggy, and the toppings fell off of the breading. With all pizzas, the crust was delicious! I love sourdough, and I usually don't finish the crust, but I finished all the crust here! Service was very friendly. They were very helpful at describing what their menu items are, because the menu is not particularly descriptive for their pastas. I would say do takeout unless you're pretty set on dine-in. Seating is pretty limited indoors and outdoors, and you probably would not seat more than 5-6 people at a table. If you do plan on coming with a large party, you should probably plan on coming earlier. Parking is also somewhat challenging around this area (it is street parking). Dine in and parking are doable, but I would probably do to-go next time if I'm craving their pizza.

Yelp
Check out this place hearing they were a restaurant on Michelin guide. Best pizza in sac! We got the pizza of the day and it did not disappoint. The crust is thin and garlicy and crispy. The ingredients tastes fresh. And they have this awesome in house green sauce they make that compliments the pizza so well! Service was quick and the team is super friendly! The location is tucked in between cycle bar and fire wings. There's a little bit of construction next to it so you might miss it. Their sign isn't that big. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is pretty small too. You order standing and then find your seat. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Friday Lunch A 2025 michelin recommended restaurant. We got pizza of the day: zuckerman farm asparagus, sugar snap peas, ramps, mozzarella di bufala, parmigiano reggiano, sicilian olive oil, fresh herbs Really good flavorful italian pizza. $32 for 8 slices for two people is a good price ($16 each). Would definitely return!

Yelp
I haven't had a single salad, pasta, pizza, or dessert here that I didn't absolutely swoon over. There's enough praise for their pizzas already so I have to give a shout out to everything else. The pasta is handmade, perfectly shaped and cooked al dente - the sauces are lick-your-plate incredible. Salads are deceptively simple but full of surprising, balanced flavors. The menu changes weekly because of how seasonal it is - so we get major FOMO when we miss out on new dishes... a sentiment similar to missing out on farmers market strawberries at the peak of summer. The unpretentious vibe + incredible food + fun front of house makes Majka our go-to spot for everything (quick weeknight dinners, special date nights, where we impress out of towners, and lazy movie nights w/ takeout pizza).

Yelp
Amazing sausage pizza. It could have had more sausage, actually--but the sauce was soooo so flavorful and the crust had the perfect texture that it didn't matter. It was that good. Paired well with a glass of red that the very friendly person taking orders suggested. I wish I got the name of it. We also got the salad of the day which had goat cheese, white nectarines, almonds, lightly coated with some herby lemon dressing--and that was insanely good also. Memorable for sure. My family and I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. We went on a Friday evening, and it was a bit too loud and too crowded inside. My only complaint is the current set up for ordering. If you want dessert, you have to go back in line at the register and there's hardly any room for people to form a line...The employees were super nice and helpful but hopefully soon they'll be able to offer table-side service which would help make the whole exp more enjoyable.

Yelp
A long overdue review but I love this wonderful pizzeria! Majka's has some of the loveliest staff and delicious food made with care and fresh seasonal ingredients! They often go above and beyond to serve up the best dishes for their customers. Their pizza of the day and green sauce is always scrumptious and a must try! I highly recommend their mushroom pizzas! They've added more seats and tables inside the store but you'll likely not find open seats on Friday evenings!

Yelp
I randomly saw a ton of reviews suggesting Majka as a premium pizza place on a random Sacramento Reddit Pizza thread so it's been on my list for a bit. We stopped in tonight before our concert just because it was a little less than a 20 minute walk from the golden 1 center. I can't tell you enough that it was an amazing decision. We got a few slices to try- their Pepperoni and the Mushroom Daily Special. The pepperoni had pepperonis from head to toe, was thin and crispy and tasty all around. I will preface the mushroom pizza with the fact I'm not normally a veggie pizza person, but I do love mushrooms. The mushroom pizza was even better than the pepperoni. I would a billion percent recommend it. The special was the cremini + king trumpet mushrooms, mozzarella di bufala, parmigiano reggiano, RAMP butter, fresh herbs. I definitely can't wait to go back and try some of the non pizza dishes, they also seemed super good. It looked like they slice their own prosciutto in-house. If you'd made it this far into the review the last thing I have to say is if you're expecting a large NY sized slice they aren't as large as that, just order a second slice- it is well worth it! The service was great and the overall atmosphere is pretty cool. If you're a wine person you'll enjoy this place even more. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and super friendly about menu items and wine pairings.

Yelp
Amazing food I already want to go back. Everything is so flavorful, high quality, hand made, and pairs together. I highly recommend coming for their small plates and handmade pasta. The ragu bianco was delicious, the shrimp salad was surprisingly my favorite small plate, and the hojicha panna cotta was amazing. I also really liked the wine I tried (called something like trout gulch?). I'll be back!! Great service and decent amount of tables.

Yelp
YES.. The pizza is good. You absolutely can't go wrong. This is our new favorite pizza spot. BUT HAVE YOU HAD THEIR FRIDAY + SATURDAY 4-10 PM MENU?????!!!!! Still get the pizza. Any pizza. Get the special green sauce too and pour it all over your pizza. But the special Friday/Saturday Menu is where it is at!!! The handmade fresh pasta that changes weekly is on another level. You can taste the love, sweat, and tears poured into every pasta dish. The small plates are just as great. Creatively made each week. The dessert options are killer as well. We went on a Saturday and by 6pm it was standing room only and there were already a couple of dishes sold out within 2 hours of the menu opening. We luckily scored a table inside instead of eating in the cold (which we would have done just to try this menu). We had: 1. The Bluefin Tuna Crudo - It was topped with citrus which I didn't think would be good but just melted in your mouth and infused it with wonderfully bright and savory flavors. 2. The Ravioli with Black truffle - This was my favorite dish. Drool worthy. The bounce on the pasta was everything. 3. Uni Pasta - this dish and the texture were amazing. It was a harmony of different textures while you chewed was unexplainable. It was crunchy, it was chewy, it was crumbly...It was just soo sooo good. 4. The pizza - we got the whole special. I liked how the pizza was thin but not floppy. The crust had a crunch but in a good way. Not in a burned way. 5. The olive cake - I didn't think I like olive cake, but as I saw every table devour a slice, we just had to try it. It was so good. We laughed as we polished it off. 6. Get the chocolate chip cookie The food here is amazing!!!! Yes, get the pizza. It's good! But also come for the special menu. The elevated small plates and pasta dishes are everything. Thankful for our new favorite family dinner spot :)

Yelp
WOW! Fantastic pizza dinner spot - we split one pie with half sausage pizza and half pizza of the day (a mushroom medley with olive oil). Loved both of the pizzas but was particularly blown away by the mushroom pizza and signature cilantro green dipping sauce combo. We got the weekday special that includes a whole pie, salad, and a bottle of wine which came out to about $70 and thought it was the perfect amount of food for two people. Ambiance of the place was also on point. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
"Good pizza dude." 1st bite was like "WOOW" - garlicky / mushroomy / buttery / oniony: derived from their secret "RAMP SAUCE." Fresh bake-ness of the crust is noticeable from the flavor profile of the "1st bite impression." "Puffy Dude (Michelin Man) " that makes car tires has the ability to Kismet transformation. Looks like a Welfare line of "Foodies " waiting to get a flavorsome pizza. Majka made the "Dining Guide " and i was curious. -daily special pie "no meat, just straight shrooms" was very sophisticated. I liked it. A must try. *see above description for adjectives if curious - LOL. - sausages pizza; cost a little bit more, but taste a little bit less good. Still good, but not like wow or anything. - green sauce (taste like a citrusy / cilantro fresh salsa). Kicks the pizzas up a notch. You should try it. -the neighboring table's pasta and chicken looked hella good too. Will be back to try those next time. (o';'o)

Yelp
We had this place on our radar and once we saw that they were on the Michelin guide, we knew we needed to come by. We decided to do the pizza/salad/bottle of wine deal. I believe it was $64 which is a pretty good deal. The pizza itself was good, and I enjoyed my salad a lot more than I expected. The staff were really nice and helpful. It's a small space but a cozy place. Overall I do think it's a good place to check out!

Yelp
Had been wanting to check Majka out! It's a cute little spot. Friendly and helpful staff. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. We got the pizza of the day which had butternut squash, garlic, mozzarella, gruyere, parmigiano, fried sage, fresh herbs. I was a little skeptical at first, but it was SO GOOD!! We also tried the Gnocchi al Castelmagno which was so creamy and cheesy! Will definitely be coming back to try more items :)

Yelp
Clean, no transients blocking my access, easy, free parking on Q street. One side is meter other side requires permit past 2 hours. A/c and chill music, not much decor inside just a few tables, noisy kitchen. Good to try a slice of my togo order with a glass of wine paired with it. Definitely not a full service, dine-in place, IMO. The unique, fresh tasting quality of their flavors make it worthwhile to try.

Yelp
We got a pepperoni pizza at Majka and it was so delicious! They loaded up the pepperoni, the whole pizza was covered. The crust was delicious! We ordered ahead and it was pretty quick even though they were busy. The owner was very nice as well. We would definitely come back and try the pizza of the day! Beware no parking lot, just some street parking.

Yelp
This place is an absolute revelation. It's in a super unassuming location close to Ice Blocks and is cozy inside. There's a hustle and bustle within the interior that you only really feel in a place that's putting out ridiculously great food at a breakneck pace. Servers, cashiers, and cooks all treat you with the most respect and answer questions diligently. Even during a pretty busy time they took the time to have me try out the wine I was considering first before I took the dive on the whole bottle (it was delicious btw). We had a sausage pizza, cacio e pepe pasta, and a celery root tortelli with king trumpet mushrooms. And OMG. I've been a pasta cook at VERY nice restaurants before, and this blew the doors off what I've made and tried. We'll be back often!

Yelp
Super nice staff, super good food. If you haven't tried this place yet it's a must!! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a slice of the slice of the day. I loved it all!!! I wishI would have also ordered a slice of the mushroom pizza

Yelp
Fabulous pizza. Oh that crust. Such a nice option to get a whole pie or just slices. Indoor/outdoor seating. Counter service. Interesting plate ware. The smaller seating area encourages conversation with the other tables. Can't miss with the wine either.

Yelp
I came to Majka after hearing comparisons to Cheeseboard (Berkeley, CA), but unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the hype. *Price*: Cheeseboard is around $24 for a whole pizza, while Majka charges $32 for a vegetarian whole pizza--a noticeable price jump for something that doesn't match up in quality. Plus, Cheeseboard throws in a free slice with every whole pizza order, while Majka does not. *Size & Crust*: Cheeseboard's crust is thinner, crispier, and easier to eat, whereas Majka's crust is on the thicker side. The overall size of a Cheeseboard pizza is also significantly larger than Majka's, making it a better value. *Taste*: Cheeseboard consistently delivers a well-balanced, flavorful, and generously topped pizza. In contrast, Majka's pizza--while fresh--felt underwhelming, overloaded with cheese, and lacking the same depth of flavor. The crust also didn't have the satisfying crunch that makes Cheeseboard's pizza so enjoyable. Overall: If you're expecting a Cheeseboard-level experience, you might be disappointed--especially given the price. It's not a bad pizza, but for the cost, I'd rather make the trip to Berkeley.

Yelp
I was wanting to try Majka for awhile since their pizzas looked unique compared to your standard pizza joints. They have a rotating daily pizza that combines various fresh ingredients to create a flavor profile you probably haven't had before. The pizza quality is pretty good, the crust is light and the pizza is easy to eat without falling apart. I feel like the one I got could have been better with some sausage or pepperoni on it.

Yelp
Pizza: it's one of those things everyone craves at some point, whether it's a greasy Little Caesars "pizza" or a $30 artisan pie that's thinner than a fingernail and topped with arugula. And while those fancy ones are often delicious, they rarely satisfy. I'm ashamed to say I'd never even heard of Majka until it showed up in the Michelin guide update. Reviews seemed mixed, and Sacramento definitely isn't short on pizza options, especially downtown. But pizza by the slice always wins points from me. Places like Marilyn's, Pizzasaurus Rex, Uncle Vito's come to mind. So it was time to check out Majka and see where they fit in the pie pecking order. I expected a grungy little counter, hoped for one even, but instead walked into a bustling restaurant full of people sitting down and enjoying whole pizzas and wine. Honestly, it had a European vibe if you can forget for a second that you're in Sacramento, CA (big ask, I know). The ambience was amazing, it instantly made me want to come back and dine in properly. Also, I love when you can see into the kitchen. Free entertainment, with a touch of chaos. I ordered three slices for takeout: the daily special, sausage, and cheese. The special was ambitious, the main ingredient was corn, but it was delicious. The sausage was solid but, truthfully, a bit underwhelming. But the cheese slice? Absolutely perfect. The dough on all three slices was spot-on: the perfect thickness, crispy, crunchy, chewy, with a slight sourdough tang. They've absolutely nailed their dough, and it shows. And I love a square slice for ideal surface area. The sauce on the cheese slice was amazing: perfectly acidic, sweet, fresh, and bright. I could probably eat a whole vat of it. The cheese wasn't overpowering; it was more of an undertone that let the dough and sauce shine. So many places hide weak dough and sauce behind a wall of cheese, but not here. I'll definitely be back to sit down with a whole pizza and some wine. They've got their formula down. That cheese slice is now one of my favorite slices in Sacramento. I honestly don't think anything compares.

Yelp
Good food, good vibes and amazing company. Love their constant menu changes and daily specials, there's always something new to try! Mostly known for their pizzas, but don't miss out on their appetizers and pastas! I had their spaghetti shrimp diavola and it was spectacular, spicy and the spaghetti was perfectly cooked!

Yelp
We ordered here on New Year's Eve. When I arrived to pick up the pizzas, the line was about four people long and moving quickly. The service was remarkably friendly even though they were super busy and possibly stressed. The gentleman who was at the counter was super friendly and calm under pressure. Just a nice local place. Pizza, salad, cookies, extra green sauce--everything was quite tasty! We will be returning soon!

Sean M.

Yelp
Got two pizza slices for 13$, the pizza tasted great, however, the size of the slices were so horrendously small I couldn't believe it. The photos of other people's slices were from over a year ago and I got maybe a 1/2 of that. Kind of bogus, not a bang for your buck. I'll hit up Vito's and Pieces all day. Inside was cool for a date night. Also no ranch, what on earth.

Ericka J.

Yelp
We came here on Saturday for lunch. It was our first time here. We ordered Today's Pizza and it was good! See below for pizza details. We walked in, ordered and paid, then took a seat and waited for the pizza. It took just under 20 minutes for the pizza to come out. The crust was nice and crunchy with a soft doughy filling. It's cheesy too. My partner and I finished the pizza. We would come back again! Today's Pizza: zuckerman farms asparagus, english peas, spring onion, ramp butter, mozzarella di bufala, parmigiano reggiano, sicilian olive oil, fresh herbs

Yelp
I'm eating a pizza a week from Majka. The sauce on the sausage pizza is so fresh it pops. The corn and poblano pizza was wonderful. Don't sleep on the fresh made pasta specials or the salads. How I lived a mile away from Majka and didn't hear of it until the recent Michelin recognition is a big failing on my part. Terrific!

Yelp
I was wanted to like this place so bad since it ended up on the Michelin recommended list this year. The pizza is terrible. The bottom of the pizza was burnt and I wasn't even able to eat. The flavor was not there either. I ordered a slice of the sausage, cheese and pepperoni. All there came out burnt. It was a huge disappointment that I went to Supreme Pizza Being afterwards because I didn't finish. I will not be returning.

Yelp
Just like wine this restaurant is getting better with age. They have continued to create great food besides pizza. The roast chicken and pasta were amazing. It's hard to go back every other day. Friday and Saturday evenings are my favorite time to go and try whatever that have cooked up. The pasta is has been phenomenal. The wait is worth time for me. The staff has been nothing but fun and welcoming.

Yelp
Ever since this place got Michelin recognized, it has been busy. So busy the service is now less than average. However, the food is amazing! I recommend all of the pastas. Stick with the pastas! The standard pizza is mid. You probs can find better pizza and cheaper pizza at other places, but if you see a daily special pizza that you like, go get it. We tried their pepperoni, their sausage, their cheese - all mid. I was going to give them a 3 star based on the pizza and service, but the pasta helped their review.

Yelp
This was the best pizza I've had in California. It was only $32, less than what you'd pay anywhere else for the same size. I don't want to eat any other pizza in this city.

Yelp
I had wanted to go there for a while and kept forgetting. (Classic!) the Michelin mention reminded me to get there! Slices with wine pairing and salads are amazing and I look forward to trying the handmade pasta next time! Fabulous experience! Also kids get chalk to draw on sidewalk in the outdoor eating area and dry erase markers for the window. What fun! (Those who know me, I had to hold all the way back to join the kids next to me )

Yelp
Best pizza I've ever had in my life. If it's not in the farmers market, it's not on the pizza. Majka uses the quality ingredient at their peak season and you can taste them in the pizza. We are so blessed to have Majka in our community. If you haven't had Majka Pizza, you are seriously missing out. Great wine choice at great value, awesome ice cream and I hear the cookies are awesome but they're always sold out.

Yelp
Oftentimes, our week revolves around the Majka's menu. The minute it is posted for the week, we are already excited to try a new pie. Not only is this the best pizza in Sacramento, it's some of the best pizza we've had anywhere, and we are unhealthily obsessed with good pizza (shout of to Nick's Pizza in Oakland and Friendly Pizza in Chicago!). The service is what you want from a pizza joint that takes its food quality very seriously, in that it's not about chit chat but about food. The way that this guy combines flavors is an art, and the green hot sauce is a staple in our house. If we ever leave Sacramento, this place will be what we miss most. I'd give it six stars if I could. Thanks for bringing incredible, locally sourced pizza to our big little city!

Yelp
This pizza spot is located in Midtown. They have a rotating pizza of the day based on what is locally available, and a few regular pizzas. You can pre-order or walk in. They also have desserts (cookies and ice cream) and weekend specials that include salads and pasta. It's delicious pizza with quality ingredients, but be warned it is on the pricey side because of it. We tried half sausage, half pizza of the day (potato) and it is was almost $40.

Yelp
Great ambiance, staff were friendly, and the food was quick and amazing. Will definitely be coming back, not sure how I've gone so long without trying.

Yelp
In town for the Canyons 100 Ultra race up near Auburn yet we stayed in Sacramento. These pizzas were so good the night before the race, we ordered again afterward! Michelin noted tiny place with a few tables inside and on the patio, we ordered ahead (strongly suggested) and picked up in a long line where servers actually stopped to ask names and brought our orders to us, saving us a lot of time. Daily special pizzas, fresh and creative ingredients, some very interesting veggie combos, mushroom delights, artichokes, as well as some meats, etc. they also serve pasta dishes and wines. Using wild yeast, pies are made from a 'mother' starter, these meals are soft on your digestive system for those of us who limit our gluten. Cannot rave enough! When in the area again, we will be back Majka!

Yelp
Classic small pizzeria spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The menu is also small making it fast and easy to order. It was our first time there so we ended up getting the daily special, but the pepperoni seemed popular as it was ordered by lots of others who stopped by while we were there. They offer an assortment of wines and even have a small freezer with ice cream. Pizza was good, I love original toppings and enjoyed this pairing quite a bit. I loved the toasted edged but wish that the center was cooked a bit longer so that the points of the slices would be less floppy. My boyfriend's words on it were "the cheese tastes organic and fresh", which it did! You can tell they use quality ingredients which is likely the reason for the price. Nice spot to hit once in a while!

Yelp
Got takeout on a busy Saturday night, the pizza with their green sauce was delicious. The orecchiette with broccolini and black truffle ravioli were also delicious. The pasta tasted fresh, the truffle flavor wasn't as strong as I prefer but still good. Even the citrus salad was nice and refreshing. Would love to come back and try dine in, but the indoor space is small so be flexible or willing to wait for a table.

Yelp
Delicious pizza. Great crust. Inventive combinations. Some of the best in town. Unique wine selection. They have a great prix fixe on the weekend as well.

Yelp
Recommended by someone. Pizza said to be exceptional. Bakery items too. Win, win, right?! NOPE. -5 for the disposition of then guy behind the counter. 2 for the pizza. Not the worse. By far not the best. But Mtn Mikes is a comp. Sellands is in a different world vs the dense no rise crust. If you truly want out of this world pizza, track down Chavious Pizza. Enter my third grader and me last Friday afternoon. It was 4:30. The place was empty. It was early though. We'd checked the hours prior. It showed open. We went for it. We enter. The door is open, there are two associates in the back working. One makes eye contact and physically slouches down with frustration by our entrance. Ok...... This is not an assumption. His body language and continued level of service (or lack thereof) reinforced it was genuine. His response was so tepid I actually asked "are you open," to which he gave a one word "yes". Ok, we'll work with it. The recommendation was so high. We order one of two pizzas, the second was a special my partner requested via text. I ask what that is. He points to a paper on the counter. Nothing added by him. More Blah.... Here's the image, middle age guy, ultra thin, hat backwards, just not having a good day obviously. Or possibly just thinks he's better than his paying customers. YIKES. Friend. You work in food "service". Go drive a long haul truck if you don't like customer interactions. We order two pizzas, plus one sad looking cookie. We like to support food service associates so we tip 20%. It's like $76... Ask for water, get a glass the size of a kiddie cup. When you put water in it from the refill station it's going everywhere. Attention to detail. -1 We order a lemonade for the kiddo. It's a frufru seltzer type lemonade. She's in third grade. Dude. You saw who it was for. Give us some heads up it's not really lemonade. It's like lemon water with a twist. More Blah... All that said, still trying to be optimistic. Pizzas come out. In boxes. With paper plates and plastic utensils. Couple napkins. He literally tosses them to us at the table where we are and turns to walk away. I ask "is it ok if we dine in". Which was always our plan. Another one word, "yes. Here's the kicker. We have to listen to him enthusiastically talk about making martinis, scotch drinks. Etc. with his colleague in the back. More. Blah blah blah. He's having an energetic conversation (dare I say friendly) with the other associate. When it came to us.... Nada tone or ounce of friendliness. I'm not hoping for a BFF. But come on. I get it. Long hours. Food service isn't easy. However. I regret leaving you a 20% tip. You were unfriendly, rude, and the pizza. More Blah. Ok, all that said, if the pizza was the bomb we expected, you would still be an unfriendly tool, but we might choose to take out moving forward. Toppings were ok. Nothing close to tasting farm to table. The crust was dense. It did not rise. The outer edge was just bad. Sellands brick oven pizza is light, airy and their staff is FRIENDLY. For $70+ you need to be on it. Reading other reviews more closely after visiting we saw the rudeness was not isolated to us. Definitely will not repeat. Sellands here we come.
