"The menu at this spot off Washington includes a lot of mostly Chinese and Malaysian dishes, with the number-one star being the roti canai. It would take you at least a few months to go through their entire menu, but we recommend you start your journey with the spicy flat noodles, dumplings, and the aforementioned roti. Their charming indoor space is great for a quick weeknight meal, but we love this spot most for its reliable takeout." - Team Infatuation

"A local institution, Malay Satay Hut offers a definitive survey of Malay cuisine. Menu options range from effortlessly satisfying roti canai and murtabak (egg or meat stuffed pancake) to crispy pork intestines and black pepper crab, not to mention the wide laksa (curry noodle soup) selection." - Brett Bankson

"Despite being a far cry from its heyday in the Chinatown-International District, when “grandma” made roti at the front window, but in its Redmond home Malay Satay still serves up satisfying food that isn’t commonly found around Seattle yet touches nostalgic points. Recommended dishes include the aforementioned roti canai, Malaysian laksa, mango chicken, Malaysian pork chops, and Belachan string beans." - Jay Friedman

🥘: 7/10. I came here with 2 friends after hiking and we are all exhausted and really hungry! We ordered the deep fried pork intestine, curry beef hot pot, Singapore rice noodle and Laksa! Super delicious and really love the beef brisket and the potato in the hotpot! Best I have ever had! I also think that it might be good to add some flavors to the Laksa to make it dmstand out more. 🧑🏻‍🍳: 9/10: Service is great, very friendly staff and all aunties are really attentive and very kind! They are all incredible and nice! Their service are making me feel like home! Super authentic and good impression ! 📍: 7/10: The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a lot of cultural paintings and bamboos! It's giving me a good impression of like I am in Malaysia! Also the paintings and the decors really made me feel like Malay! They also have a big parking lot, in a nice location and everything is clean!

We had order satay chicken, the pan cake, Hainanese chicken rice, the pan cake is ok, curry sauce is kind of plain, Saay chicken is great, but the Hainanese chicken seems like missing some flavor, overall the meal is good.

We were here with a big group for lunch and they have good seating options for big and small groups. It’s a lovely beach-shack vibe inside. The food is great too and it was my first time experiencing the Malaysian and fusion dishes. Or orders took a while to arrive but they came pretty quickly after that. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Personally I’d highly recommend the Nasi Lemak and some fresh lime juice to wash it down.

Walk in and sit down, someone will be right with you. Scan the code for the menu. Scroll through the menu, order the food. Wait over 25 minutes for your food to arrive. 1 persons plate was cold. The first time here, food was okay. The regular drinks were okay, less flavorful. Not sure if that is just how it's made or it was just too watery.

Small portion sizes, not much flavor, and eggshell. Ordered takeout on Uber eats. I don't know whether its on the restaurant or on Uber eats, but none of the dishes came with rice. Were they supposed to come with rice? Who knows. I would expect so given the prices I paid, but I guess it didn't explicitly say it would so sure that's on me. In that case, the main dishes are just overpriced. The Singapore rice noodles were fairly under flavored. I picked the extra spicy option, and I'm not sure what that means at this restaurant but it sure as hell wasn't spicy. Seemed like a watered down version of every Singapore Fried noodles I've had literally anywhere else. Also, those Singapore rice noodles? Came with a nice serving of eggshell. Not even like small pieces that you could possibly accidentally miss. Really just not a great look. Finally, the roti canai came looking depressed and the potato sauce bit was the tiniest possible serving they could've given us. There might have been a single piece of potato in there. We also ordered hot and spicy chicken with cashew, ma po chili tofu, fried veggie rolls, and chicken satay. Nothing came with rice (which I would've expected with the entrees), literally everything was under flavored, and the chicken satay had very sad half skewers (as in the skewers were less than half full of meat and small to begin with). In general, just not great. Definitely not coming back again.

We had a family style lunch here today that included the roti kanai, Singapore fried rice, pad Thai noodles, curry laksa, black pepper lamb and honeydew boba iced tea. Everything tasted authentic and delicious. Reasonable prices and good portions coupled with great flavor makes this a consistent restaurant in the area.

The place has capacity to accommodate 8 people for my team lunch (round table). For appetizers, we had rpto chenai and chicken satay. Those were good. We had beef rendang which was fantastic. The Hainanese chicken was good too. We also had mango chicken, Singapore Fried vermicelli, pineapple fried rice, cuttlefish, which were all good. The only dish which was not that great was coconut jumbo shrimp. That was too salty for our liking. The waitress was very responsive and attentive. She made sure our glass had water all the time.
