Yelp
We dined at Malibu Farms in Seaport Village after a morning at The New Children's Museum. My family and I were looking for a fresh and somewhat lighter selection for lunch since we've been having plentiful and heavy eats deep in the holiday season.
FOOD/ DRINKS
Burrata salad had arugula, sliced persimmons, candied pecans, dried barberries, burrata cheese (on the side), with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The salad tasted balanced; fresh, light, and so yummy.
'Bu beef burger, grass fed burger, havarti cheese, tomato, marinated red onions, aioli on brioche bun with broccoli mash and a small side house salad. My husband ordered the burger and was very happy with the choice. I took a bite, and the meat was juicy and the brioche bun was soft. Surprisingly, the broccoli mash was very tasty and smooth.
LOCATION
A farm to table restaurant in Seaport Village and feels like an anchor spot. Malibu has indoor and outdoor seating. On a great day you can catch a beautiful view of the village, water, and boats.
SERVICE
We were greeted right away by the host and it helped that the lunch rush didn't hit yet. We got seated right away and got good and a friendly service from our server.
PARKING
There is a huge parking lot for the Seaport Village. I was expecting to pay but the parking cost ended up being more and we were just there for lunch. As a friendly reminder, check the parking price because it is not free. The restraint does not validate.
Next time we are in town, would consider dining at Malibu Farms. We have had a great experiences across the different Malibu Farm locations; Malibu, Newport Beach (Lido), and now San Diego. Also, we know we can count on Malibu Farms to find food we will enjoy.
