"Just off a winding stretch of Mulholland perched high in the hills sits the thousand-acre Saddlerock Ranch—picturesque, with rolling hills, its bucolic grounds also happen to serve as a home to several zebras, water buffalo, yaks, llamas, alpaca, and an attention-loving giraffe named Stanley. During the week, 60-minute-long tours are available for families with littles (48 inches and above) in an open-air black-and-white striped Jeep. Kids have the chance to interact with and feed the animals. On the weekends, adults can book a boozy version which includes a tour through the vineyards, quick history lesson, and a series of tastings. Note: Book early, as the weekend tastings are popular with large groups. "

My husband surprised taking me here a few years ago for my birthday. It was such a unique experience and I’m happy I got to experience this, after seeing that they permanently closed down. The tour guides were wonderful, so interactive and fun. Meeting Stanley the giraffe was a highlight and all the wine and cheese was the cherry on top. The views, nothing short of spectacular. This place will truly be missed.

Reservation made for a party of 7 for a friend's birthday celebration. Check in process was simple. You do need your ID. Our tour guides were Joey and Laura! They were awesome! They drive you around and share their knowledge with you. We stopped to visit the famous Stanley! He is so magnificent! Very photogenic. We tried many wines and loved them all. The views were spectacular as were the grounds! It was a perfect day for this tour. We will come again! Thank You!

Fantastic VW tour with friends. Chris was our guide and driver and we spent fabulous time. It was 3 hours of wine and some cheeses and crackers. We also went to Cornel winery and it was great. Recommended for a fun afternoon with friends.

Google
Great experience!! Must try for everyone. Enjoy wine and the scenary of Malibu. Beautiful landscape. The giraffe 🦒 is the best part! You get to feed animals too. Great selection of wine, 3 red and 3 whites.

Google
Our tour was amazing! I can’t remember the names of our tour guides but they were the best ladies! Knowledgeable about everything, hilarious and laid back. Stunning views and the cutest animals! You get to fed them, take pictures and love them! So fun! I can’t wait to come back for another trip!

I bought tickets online after looking up places to go in the area. The online process was simple to understand. I ended up buying the pizza and wine tour. When getting to the location, there were plenty of signs guiding were to park, the restrooms, where check in was located. It was organized and stress free. The check in process was easy and only took about five minutes. They basically told you the rules, checked your ID, and had you sign a waiver, then told you to wait for your group to be called for boarding. The gift shop was cute. The candles made from wine bottles were my favorite. Zeek and Calvin were such great tour guides to have. They made the whole experience relaxing and fun. They were extremely informative and welcomed any questions the group had. We went through all the animal stops before starting our wine tasting which I thought was a little odd. I also wished we could’ve fed the animals. So then we had the white wine tasting and red wine tasting back to back. I think it would’ve been better to have an animal stop in between. They were very generous with their pours and once everyone went through the flights, they offered more to whoever wanted. We had our red wine stop while the pizza stop which was perfect. The pizza...omg SO GOOD. I highly recommend trying the pizza. Justin really knows how to make a great pizza.

Google
Julia & Will were hands down THE BEST tour guides in the history of tour guides! They were down to earth and super friendly. Our whole group (6 ladies) thoroughly enjoyed them. The level of service that MWS provides is superior to most businesses these days. My interactions with the staff who called me days before my reservation date was impressive. Upon arrival, every employee was helpful and kind! Bonus: The wine is amazing! My favorite was the Sangiovese. Double Bonus: The animals are so adorable & have awesome names! I will be recommending Malibu Wine Safaris to anyone visiting the area.

If I could go on this Safari once a week that would be ideal since it’s so spectacular!! Pro-tip: decide what type of Safari you and your group would like, they have a nice variety! We went on the Giraffe encounter and met all sorts of wonderful rescue animals! The wine was abundant and refreshingly delicious and the scenery cannot be beat!! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the scenery, the history of the vineyard, the wine, and the animals. Perfect for a small or large group! This is a MUST DO in Malibu!!

Yelp
Had two vouchers for the wine hike that I'd completely forgotten to use in 2024...I figured to start off 2025 by going, and I'm so glad that my husband and I went earlier today! Quick note: I'd highly recommend eating a small meal before you come since there were only a few snack items in the refrigerator that can be purchased. Upon reaching the entrance, there was someone who was helping to direct you for where to park. I'm unsure if this is typical or because there was something being filmed on the property. There's plenty of parking and was super easy. The check-in building was cute inside, and there was lots of seating available while waiting for your tour to start. We had Maddi as a tour guide - we loved her! She was so kind, bubbly, and overall awesome. We drank a small cup of nicely warmed, mulled wine half-way through the hike then we all went home with two small cans of wine (there were four options to choose from). You could also drink the two cans there, but we had a long drive back to OC and decided to save them. It was a beautiful afternoon activity. Highly recommend going to Malibu Wine Hikes!

Yelp
I'm not sure where to begin. I was really excited to take my mom and dad on this tour but calling this a tour is a massive exaggeration. Let's call it an expensive selfie session for what could be 15 min with ghetto plastic cups that you share both red and white wine in (ewwwww) and ps you can't buy any wine there because they lost their liquor license and you don't actually see anything really except some nice views/ overlooks which I can do from my backyard. When the night ended my mom asked if $60 for Tip was enough and the woman at the front desk insinuated it wasn't - at $20 a person. $20 a person for what?!!!! An atv ride through some rich Texans home where all his grandchildren and great grandchildren were playing on their motorbikes and oh we got to look at statues of his kids. Wtaf. The highlight of the tour (sarcasm) was a garage of old cars which I tried to be super pleasant about but I'm mortified that this cost $450. The experience is supremely misleading and the "charcuterie board" lol was a pack of Trader Joe's salami, two honey sticks a paper plate and some $3 cheese. I am livid by this. If it wasn't for the fact that my mom already felt bad I would have asked for a refund and or to speak to the person in charge but I didn't want to embarrass them. I still want my mother to get a refund as this feels like a total scam and I'm shocked that all of these reviews are so good. To make matters worse my mom wanted to see the animals but "they had already gone to bed" I'm beyond annoyed. The nicest part of the experience was the person I spoke to on the phone and back in the day that used to cost .25 cents. Honestly this really felt like a $$ scam and I am not here for it.

Yelp
Our group of friends wanted to go on this hike as part of our annual reunion. The Malibu Wine Hike at 3 pm is perfect if you want to and watch the sunset in December. The weather is still warm enough around that time during the winter days. Shout out to Bradford, our tour guide, who is excellent, very personable, and funny! He wore many hats that day as a tour guide, a life coach giving great life lessons (stay in school y'all), and an awesome photographer/videographer. Definitely recommend trying this out once for wine with good company!

Yelp
This was the best wine tour ever!! First of all, our guide was great. Super friendly and very informed about the wine. He made the tour as good as it was. We took the cute van around the vineyard and had three stops, all paired with good wine. There was a scenic spot, a car stop (trust me this is super cool), then more scenic views and animal spotting before you get to the final picnic spot. The picnic spot includes a nice charcuterie board with great cheese and crackers paired with your wine. The whole tour was so much fun, and the area is stunning. The wine is also delicious. I loved the Rose - it tasted very fruity. My family enjoyed the various white and reds too. Highly recommend!! I would be weary of how hot it can get on the hiking tour. We were driving and it was really hot.

Yelp
Booked their 4x4 private ride. Our tour guide, Meddy was very nice, attentive and friendly. We had 5 stops which 3 of them included wine. Their wine selection was truly good. The ranch itself is beautiful and rides are fun. Highly recommended for a Sunday funday.

Yelp
First, Bradford was awesome! There were only 2 couples on our hike so it was personal, fun, informative and yes, the dad jokes were even funny! We completely enjoyed our hike and all we learned about Saddlerock Ranch! The views were incredible and the frozen rose' treat was very tasty and needed at that point of our hike! The wines we took home were also excellent. A great experience!

Yelp
What a fun, fun, fun experience. I've been wanting to come to this place for ages but never got a chance to and I also don't drink wine/alcohol so I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it. Anyhow I came here for a birthday party that my friend was hosting. We went on a private vineyard hike, the girls drank wine, we got to see a few animals and learn about the history of the property which was very informative. Kurt was amazing, he was so friendly, such a great person and wonderful to be around. He took some awesome pictures of us and made sure all the girls were happy. Lots of picturesque spots to take pictures and just overall a really fun place to be. I definitely would come back and probably want to rent the atv for the private tour. Kurt also told me he can accommodate if I don't want wine which I think is awesome. Overall, it was just so nice to take in the fresh air and beautiful views of Malibu. The property is very well maintained and the animals were adorable. The hike was so nice ! It was great to walk through the property and enjoy the private vineyard hike.

Yelp
The five stars definitely go to Tug, our tour guide, and the property grounds which were absolutely breathtaking. If I could rate our check in experience & person... that would most definitely get less stars. But back to our five star tour guide, Tug, he was so awesome and patient with us! He not only is very knowledgeable of the property grounds and history but had no problem stopping with the group to take so many photos. I would've been sooo annoyed lol but he was genuinely most interested in us having a great time. It can get a little muddy so make sure to wear comfortable shoes that you're not trying to keep squeaky clean.

Yelp
My friends and I were in town just for business but made sure we tried a hike and what a much better experience that you get wine out of it! When made a reservation online which was super straightforward on their website and it was for Friday at 3:30pm. When we got to the place, it was really cool since I've never been to a vineyard. Their restrooms are elevated Porta potty's so they are not gross at all and has lights and such. Our guide was super friendly and really informative during the hike and even offered to take pictures for our group which was so appreciated. The hike is easy for someone my age (late 30s) but for anyone that is a bit older and limited with walking or doesn't do cardio a lot, it could be a little strenuous on the uphill portions and some of the dirt if loose could cause slipping so I would recommend not just the close toed shoes but actual hiking and gripping shoes to be safe. We got a rose at the halfway point which was a nice break and super refreshing. The end of the hike you get two cans of wine to take home and I should have asked if we could buy the other two so we could get the whole set but I forgot. I would suggest to ask that so you can try them all. I loved the hike cause it was simple, the view was amazing, the story of the vineyard was cool and the wine was yummy! Well worth the trip!

Yelp
A very very cute activity just outside of LA! I did the walking tour for a friend's birthday. Since there were 14 of us, we had a private tour. Our tour guide, Paul, was super funny. He cracked so many jokes, and puns, and showed us all the great photo spots. He also was super knowledgeable about the land, its history, and the owners, and overall a great conversationalist. You can sign the waiver online or once you arrive. They will check your ID, so be sure to bring that. I highly recommend bringing sunglasses, sun hats, water, snacks, and wearing something comfortable. The hike itself is not too strenuous and you go at a very comfortable pace. We arrived and started the tour on time (so don't be late)! They have restrooms at the entrance, and one midway through the hike - both of which were very clean. There are lots of animals on the premises, but you can't pet them! Mid-hike, we get a cup of piping hot mulled wine. After the hike, you can take home 2 small cans of wine (they have 4 to choose from). At $54 per person, the hike from end to end took us about 3-4 hours (including the breaks we took). For the amount of time you get on the tour, it seems pretty worth the price. It's a super fun activity to do as a group and easy enough for most beginner hikers of all ages. The parking lot is easy to miss if you're driving fast but there are plenty of spots and parking is free. Beware there isn't much phone signal/wifi once you're there.

Yelp
I have taken dozens of wine tours, but NEVER one as fabulous, interesting, and FUN as this one. Our amazing guides, Kurt and Jeff, had us laughing, singing, cheering, and shedding happy tears on our three-hour vintage VW bus tour for our party of 10. The winery and views were stunning, and the property oh so intriguing! Thank you, Kurt and Jeff for making our celebration one we will cherish for a lifetime.

Yelp
A relaxing hike, beautiful scenery, and wine. This is the best combo for a weekend activity. A special shout out to Brad, our guide for sharing his knowledge and plenty of good jokes, as well as being our photographer. He did an excellent job! I also got two cans of wine at the end to take home. It was awesome!
google avatar

Jean F.

Yelp
The wine hike was beautiful! Paul is a great, chill tour guide and quite knowledgeable about the site. My partner and I came on a date to change up our hiking routine. 10/10 recommend - great views, animal sightings, history lessons, and overall good company. I would do again and bring more friends!
google avatar

Yelp
Brad was great and funny! The hike was easy and the froze was tasty! The weather was perfect for November

Yelp
Totally recommend this tour, yes take water, yes wear comfy walking clothes, yes you need shoes with grip (hiking tour) & yes you get wine. I'm sure all the guides are awesome but Maddi was amazing

Yelp
Gather your friends, gather your family AND BOOK THE TOUR. We did the 4x4 tour last week for my 34th birthday and it was AMAZING!! The lady checking us in was so fun and pleasant and then our 2 guides (I was drunk and forgot their names, I'm so sorry!!!! ) It was a guy who was much like flynn rider and a blonde female (10am tour on june 5th). But they were amazing. The tour itself is great, the wine was FANTASTIC but our tour guides really sealed the deal. Friendly, knowledgeable, funny and overall just absolutely fantastic. They need a raise! If you're looking for something fun to do, right here is one of the best!

Yelp
For my birthday, I booked a private VW bus tour, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, our guide Kurt was there to greet us, and he made us all feel so welcome, even when we were running a little late. Oops. The tour was such a blast, wine was delicious, Kurt was so fun, and he took the BEST photos. Definitely a must do if you want VIP treatment, amazing views, good vibes, and want to have the best time with loved ones.
google avatar

Yelp
soon. You take a beautiful drive through the mountains to get to the ranch, check-in process is seamless and friendly. They have a little shop with t-shirts and merch as well. Now for the tour, we did the VW bus tour with Kurt and it was amazing! I won't give too much away because I want the reader to experience for themselves but we did tastings in 3 separate locations, one more beautiful than the next. We tasted on the ranch, in a rustic country store, and overlooking to beach of Malibu (so many dolphins). The bus it a perfect size and the open air, mountain scenery, and music made the experience surreal. We felt like we were in a movie! We saw several animals on the ranch including llamas, baby donkeys & horses. The giraffe and zebras now live in Texas but we also got to see amazing movie props and art installations. Kurt was incredibly accommodating to our group, kept the conversation fun and light, was our photographer, and definitely read the room on our music preferences. We'll definitely be booking with Kurt next time! The van is SO cute and in such amazing condition, it's really a treat!
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
The name of the tour does not match what you actually get. To be short: you get the hike, you don't test the wine. After 1.30 hiking you will get one frozen drink with wine flavor and at the end 2 cans of wine TO GO. The tour was good, but just based on the name it was expected a little bit more :)
google avatar

Yelp
What an amazing way to spend an afternoon! Beautiful location and our guide Maddy was the best! Unexpected hidden gem, definitely recommend.

Yelp
Wow what a great time. I wanted to do something different for my birthday and saw this activity and knew I wanted to do it. The property is beautiful huge and vast. It's a great getaway from the city. Our guide was amazing too Mitchell he made it fun and was knowledgeable. They offer different options including an ATV, car, and a hike but honestly I'm glad I chose the hike. You really get to touch and feel the nature and take everything in. The hike was a medium hike with 1 uphill walk that's slightly challenging but that's it. They gave us a frose to start off, then you get to choose two canned wines. I decided to do one can after the frose and one after the hike. The wine is delicious. I got the red blend which was strong and flavorful. Another plus with the walk is you get to pet and feed the animals on the property, play in the gardens, and pick fruit from the trees for a snack. Pictures don't do it justice. Just go!

Yelp
We were visiting friends in Simi Valley and were looking for things to do nearby and Malibu Wine Hikes popped up as an option- a 2 hour hike through a vineyard followed by a wine tasting. Family-owned since '79, this property is set between Sattleback and Turtle Mountains offering an incredibly picturesque hike that is just lovely!! I've been to Napa Valley twice and this tour was one of the very best wine country tours I've ever experienced. With beautiful vineyards, flowers, fruit gardens and some super cute and well-named horses, donkeys, llamas, alpacas- this place is pretty magical. Maddie, our tour guide, was delightful and clearly loved her job and telling all the stories and history that are a part of Saddleback Vinyards. Facilities are top notch and merchandise, drinks and sunscreen are super reasonably priced and much appreciated!! Though this hike is completed at a leisurely pace and can be completed in gum shoes, wear hiking boots if you have them. Note to self: Always bring your hiking boots when visiting California!! This was definitely a great experience. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Brad Downs was the best guide ever! Frozen Rose, witty banter, and amazing views make Malibu Wine Hikes a 1 of a kind experience!

Liz L.

Yelp
We were a group of 4 women celebrating our friend's birthday. We booked the VW van tour and it did not disappoint! It was such a different and super fun experience. There were gorgeous views, amazing photo ops, and delicious wine throughout the two hours. Bradford was our guide and was really informative and had us laughing the whole time. Highly recommend this experience!
google avatar

Mallory C.

Yelp
Maddi was our tour guide on the walking tour. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the history of the property. Our hike was filled with fun facts, animal sightings, a refreshing frosé, and more wine at the end. We will be back when we're in the area again!
google avatar

Kaylie D.

Yelp
So fun! I did this for a birthday celebration, and it was so fun! The tour guide was friendly and informative. The frozen rosé was delicious and a nice nice break half way through the hike!
google avatar

Harley R.

Yelp
Did a wine hike today and my tour guide was Bradford. BEST experience. He's such a funny guy and made myself and all of my friends so comfortable. 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Our recent wine expedition was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, the experience was perfectly planned out with options to change at our request by our amazing guide KURT, leaving our group with lasting and wonderful memories. Thank you Malibu Wine Hikes + KURT for making my birthday celebration a memorable one! Can't wait to do it again!
google avatar

Robert G.

Yelp
Great hike with beautiful views and tasty wines. Stephanie is the BEST tour guide! Also, the fruit picking was an added treat to go along with the free frosé

Ashley P.

Yelp
I have my bachelorette party here and did a VW private wine tour. We had the best time with Kurt. He made it once of a lifetime experience and I would do it over and over again.
google avatar

Jamael F.

Yelp
had the best guide and the best time with my friends. It was for my birthday and the guide made it so special and I just had such a relaxing day. Make sure you ask for Kurt!
google avatar

Brittney D.

Yelp
Went for a hike through the Vineyard last Friday with my cousin. The weather was rainy to start, but ended up clearing up, which was great. Our tour guide was amazing. Bradford was very knowledgeable about the property and was really great with the dad jokes and fun facts. We went to celebrate my cousins birthday. The wine was such a nice touch and the vineyard is beautiful. Would definitely come again.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Beautiful property with very cool / fun tour guides. The hike was enjoyable. Staff is very welcoming and all seem to enjoy their jobs. Good selection of wines - all tasty especially the "fro-se". Only 2 things I wasn't crazy about; 1. The entrance is so easy to miss (as we did) that MWH realized this so they put a sign after the main entrance saying something like "if you're going to MWH, you've gone too far" Haha ‍ 2. At the end of the hike, they offer you 2 canned wines to take home and then they immediately shut down their bar area so you're just left, standing in the parking lot wishing they had a tasting room or somewhere on site that you can purchase a bottle or 2. Instead, they recommend an alternate & inconvenient tasting room off site.
google avatar

Carrie H.

Yelp
Three stars for great vibes & views plus service. My friends & I got the 4x4. Which was fun, for five women it was over $400. Which also includes snacks at the end of tour. For the group package we paid for, we received very little. Especially, after a 2 hour tour plus walking. We definitely built up an appetite. Wine tasting was more of a sip tasting. Between five women the snack & wine portions were very small. A lot less then what I'm used too, at wineries. However, we had a great time, taking pictures & laughing! The staff & our tour guide were really nice.
google avatar

Alyssa D.

Yelp
Overall better experience than I had anticipated. We had hiked on a 90 plus degree day and our tour guide had made the experience so fun. It is almost 2 miles, mostly flat/downhill but there are 1 or 2 parts with a slight hill so keep that in mind. At the halfway point we were treated to a frozen rośe, and at the end received 2 canned wines. Throughout the tour we learned tons of cool information from our tour guide and had some photo opportunities as well.

Teshee S.

Yelp
Brad was great. Very friendly and funny. I came for my birthday and really enjoy myself. It would highly recommend booking a tour with Brad.
google avatar

Diane H.

Yelp
Awesome winery and hiking tour, our guide Stephanie was the very best, very knowledgeable about the winery and its surroundings, and she herself is very entertaining. Would strongly recommend, earlier in the day, so it's not so hot.
google avatar

Jacque S.

Yelp
Nice hike, but pack a jacket if you go in the evening, it gets chilly. We had a little wine, and in the end we were able to have some of their canned wines. Overall a fun experience, make sure to wear walking/hiking clothes. Our guide was good and funny.
google avatar

Michaela C.

Yelp
So much fun! It's a great little excursion for couples or a large group of friends. I'll definitely be back soon.

Reese H.

Yelp
My friend and I did a walking tour with Bradford on 7/28. We did the morning slot. The skies were clear, the property is beautiful, the jokes and puns were on point! It was a great way to combine a little bit of exercise, light drinking, entertainment and scenic views. We had a lovely time!
google avatar

Linda N.

Yelp
Tug was our guide for our hike and what a guy! He was very funny and friendly. He was the best photographer and showed interest in our lives. He gave us knowledge about the property and even let us eat whatever we wanted including the young grapes and nectarine looking immature fruit. The wine was also very good. We got frosé midway and two cans of wine at the end to take home. This would be great for a group outing, birthday, or Bach party! Thanks, Tug!
google avatar

Kristy M.

Yelp
We booked the 4x4 tour and my first thoughts were why haven't I done this before. It was such a nice day the sun was out but not too hot. The vehicle easily fit our party of 5 plus the guide. The guide was so awesome. The guide was interactive and took tons of pictures for us. Along the tour you took stops for photo opportunities and places to just enjoy the view with a tasting of wine. Towards the end of the tour you taste the reds and are given cheese and meat box with nuts and crackers. It was a tasty snack. Then we were lead to the strawberry patch and we were able to pick the strawberries to eat. I had such a good time and I am looking forward to returning and trying a different tour.

Susan W.

Yelp
We had such a great time on the wine hike! Beautiful scenery and even saw some super cute animals, such as a baby lama. Maddie was a great guide, funny and super informative, she made our time even better than expected! The only odd thing is they give you 1 tasting of wine towards the end and the other 2 after the hike was over! We would have preferred it all during the hike. But other then that it was great!
google avatar

Jay H.

Yelp
This place is BEAUTIFUL! We went on the Wine Walk with Matthew as our tour guide and he was a pleasant guide to keep us company. The history and the land was GORGEOUS and we definitely took advantage of the photo ops. The hike wasn't bad either, 2 small up hills but bearable and then smooth sailing from there. Not dog friendly and I wouldn't bring strollers. In the middle, we stopped for some frose and was allowed up grab whatever from their garden and OMG - they had the BEST grapes I've ever tasted. At the end, we were given complimentary canned wines and went on about our day. Quick and fun little Sunday event.
google avatar

RJ S.

Yelp
You'll enjoy yourself if you're a fan of wine, the outdoors or agriculture. If you like them all, even better. Malibu Wine Hikes was the perfect a way to spend a Sunday afternoon. My wife and I came here for a group hike while visiting the area for a long weekend. Our tour guide lead us on a casually paced walking tour that lasted approximately 2-hours. Along the way we learned about the Semler Family, the history of Saddle Rock Ranch and the wine-making process. Tour highlights included non-stop scenic views across the 1,100 acre property, an impressive collection of antique wagons, visits with the ranch animals, the tranquil "Hundred Acre Wood" and a mid-hike break for some frosé and yard games. To cap it off, everyone on the tour received two individual cans of wine as a send off gift. After your tour, I highly recommend heading to the Malibu Wines tasting room and beer garden in West Hills. There's a cool vibe there and they feature an extensive beer and wine selection. If you wear your tour bracelet they'll give you 10% off. PRO TIP: If you're hoping to catch a glimpse of instagram sensation, Stanley The Giraffe, you're out of luck. He now resides in a Texas zoo. However, the property still has plenty of awesome animals like llamas, alpacas, sheep and ponies.

Yelp
This is a perfect day out, the only think missing is the wine. But as long as you know this before, plan ahead! Arrival: dirt parking lot/restrooms available/don't forget to fill out your paperwork Hike: easy hike, but still no heels. There are a couple of short steeper areas. Lots of photo-ops Food/drink: (15min-ish) halfway stop. There are benches to sit, you can bring food and drinks if you can carry it during your hike. They served a Frose' at the stop. Restroom and sink available. We also brought music :) After: 2 cans of wine for the road! I still haven't tasted it so not sure how it is. The guide was great, lots of fun and informative. Accommodating for our large group. I only took off one star for the no actual wine on a 'wine hike' Hope this helps plan out your day!

Yelp
First of all, all of the 5-star reviews are true. I did the VW Bus Tour with Kurt and three friends yesterday, and we had a blast! Kurt is awesome, and we all had so much fun! The ranch is absolutely beautiful. The wines are delicious, and we loved the little picnic with charcuterie, sips of chilled white wine and rose, and the wonderful frozen rose dessert! It was so much fun to tour the ranch by VW bus, seeing all of the cute animals and stopping to take photos. We loved the Cornell Winery so much that we never made it to our last stop (it's okay; we're all from Los Angeles)! We had wonderful sandwiches and potatoes (VERY generous portions) from the little restaurant next door, sat and ate and drank and chatted with Kurt. Kurt is so nice and laid-back. He let us go at our own pace and do what we wanted. We didn't want to leave! We are already talking about coming back to do the hike. Definitely book this tour! So much fun and a very memorable way to spend a morning or afternoon.

Yelp
We bought the $50 walking wine tasting hike. It was a bit boring and long. We walked around the lot with a tour guide who told us facts about the family who owns the vineyards. Halfway through we got a break and had mulled wine (hot wine - not that refreshing I didn't drink mine) then continued the hike over a mountain where the tour guide pointed out some specific trees and plants. When your was over we ended back in the parking lot where they gave us two canned wines (that were okay) and said it is highly encourage to tip at least 20%. We thought it would be more wine tasting and relaxing walking around the vineyards so we did not enjoy the tour as much as we thought we would:/ Also we did not realize a lot of the great reviews were from the Malibu wine safari they use to have but closed down - this is completely different now.
