Where To Take Your Out-Of-Town Friends To Eat in LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Speaking candidly from one human to another, you simply don't turn down a day in the mountains drinking riesling and picnicking with friends. And at Malibu Wines, you get all of that and more. They definitely provide some snacks for your afternoon buzz, but you’re allowed to bring all your own food to the venue, and you should. So round up all the gal pals and prove to your friends from Dallas that life is better without 180% humidity." - brant cox

Malibu Wines Tasting Room Closes Because of Woolsey Fire - Eater LA

"Malibu Wines tasting room closed the day the fire began, and in an incredible stroke of luck, only sustained minor structural damage. It will still need repairs, leaving the tasting room closed for at least a few months." - Mona Holmes

My best friend and I went in a trip to LA and booked a wine hike with Kurt - and it was a hit! Kurt was an awesome guide - easygoing, fun, and made the tour super enjoyable. He shared some great insights about the history of the vineyard, and the whole experience was really relaxing. (We forgot to ask about the wine, whether they make it or if they just sell their grapes etc.) The scenery was beautiful, and we got to try 2 of 4 different wines. (Orange is the best!) Kurt did a great job of making sure we had a good time, and we learned some interesting things along the way. If you're looking for a fun and laid-back wine tour, I'd definitely recommend Kurt's hike!

We did the 4 x 4 Malibu wine tour. You don’t stop at any wineries but it is a beautiful property to drive around in the utility vehicle which also wine an ice chest and you make stops along the way to and enjoy the wine. We all had a fun time!

I’ve done several tours, and they’re always a great time with friends! hiking through beautiful scenery and enjoying wine along the way. The staff is super friendly and there is lots of parking for convenience.

It was a great tour! My advice is get comfortable shoes, plus a hat or something to keep you cover from the sun. Our tour guide was cool, showing us the grapes plus giving us a little history of the place, they give you the wine tasting mostly at the end of the tour I’m guessing they had previous experiences of people being too drunk to continue, but the spots he shows for pictures and just chill are nice. At the end you can purchase the wine, mostly it comes in cans (mmm I don’t know how I feel about that) the flavor is just different from the one you taste. But the place is beautifull

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide, Gavin. This is a great tour if Beautiful sights in Malibu. We had a group of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Gavin took us to spectacular spots with amazing beach views. We also stopped at great spots to dine like Paradise Cove and the Malibu Country Mart. He was a wonderful host and ambassador for the area. Snacks and wine were provided. We also brought our own as well. Definitely dress warmly or in layers because it can get very cold. You can consider bringing a blanket. There are some spots where you will have walking or a brief hike. We highly recommend and would do again should we visit Cali!

Celebrated my best friends birthday this past weekend here at Malibu Wine Tours, and it was a wonderful experience all around. Our tour guide Pyar was very well informed of the history of the vineyard grounds and made the experience very fun and memorable. Beautiful sights all around 🩷

Did a tour with some friends here and had an interesting time… overall good for an easy hike with some pretty views when the weather is nice (2 leisurely miles on dirt paths with a break in between). Our tour guide gave us a breakdown of the area. There were some bizarre sculptures placed around the property, and a llama or two (the family moved most of the exotic animals to their Texas ranch apparently). Eccentric millionaire tastes… we were told the picture frame sculpture was the owner’s joke on being framed for selling decommissioned helicopter parts to North Korea (true story, look up the Semler brothers). Anyway, you get to see grapes of different varieties that all look the same to the untrained eye. Some pretty wildflowers depending on the season. The mulled wine was pretty good but the cans we got at the end of the tour were not great. Depending on the price, it’s not a bad way to spend a weekend afternoon.

When I visited the ranch I did the hiking, wine tasting, and visited the animals that they have. The place is beautiful and huge!! I loved it. The only reason for not giving it all 5 stars was that the hiking trails were not cleaned out. I was like walking through weeds and ducking branches left and right. I wished it would had been more cleared out so I would had enjoyed it more. I would definitely recommend. It can be for any ages. Kids will love the animals as they get to feed them. The people who guide our tour were very friendly and informative. There was no rush to get moving to the next spot. They even helped with taking pictures. Shout out to PR a and Hailey.
