I got stuck in Atlanta after my flight was canceled and decided to try Malones based on reviews. Sat at the bar with what looked to be a bar full of Businessmen doing the same thing as me. Based on the Reviews I ordered French Onion Soup and BBQ honey wings. I eat out a lot and French Onion Soup is a favorite. I got to say.... This was the most Flavorful I've ever had. A little saltier then I like but really good. The wings were perfectly cooked, big and Juicy. The combo was a complete meal. But, that's not all.. Being in the South I had to have the Southern Pecan Pie. Normally these pies are small slices. This was big enough for 2 but I ate the whole thing... it was the perfect combo of nuts and sweet. The bar staff was really good. Highly recommend it.

Google
We enjoyed this restaurant It is close to the airport and there is plenty of parking. It was clean and the servers were wonderful. Our food was really good...especially the sweet potato mash.... heavenly! A little Patience paid off for hot fresh food.

Great service. Fast. My steak was overcooked. Drinks were poured with a nice heavy hand. Definitely will give this place another try when I'm back in town.

Trevor was our server. He was great! Friendly, fun and upbeat! The mashed red potatoes and sweet potatoes were amazing! The green beans were plentiful, just didn’t have a lot of flavor. The grouper was seasoned really well. The cheesecake was huge and very flavorful. Nice late night dinner!

Google
This was my first time at Malone’s and I had a fantastic dinning experience. Our server’s name was Brittney and she was attentive, gave great recommendations and provided fast/efficient service. While eating here, one of the customers decided to “dine and dash.” The manager Marcus handled the situation professionally and with grace. They will forever have me as a customer and I cannot wait to return the next time I am in Atlanta.

Google
This place has a really nice atmosphere The menu has a variety of choices in food and drinks. The staff was friendly and had that southern hospitality that I was hoping for. The drink our waitress suggested was amazing, and the food was cooked perfectly. The fries are really tasty as well.

Although the service was great, I had to give this review an overall four! Here’s why: we came in from out of town and had a long day. We were hungry but the food wasn’t what we expected. They were about to close so, they didn’t cook with love…in my opinion. Just half done or take it and leave presentation… will not be coming back!

Google
My server was awesome! The food was delicious and the drinks were pretty good as well. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, I bought more to go. I will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Atlanta!

Yelp
Definitely a place we love to come to when visiting Atlanta. This time we tried a few new entrees that turned out really well. Started off with wings without the buffalo sauce on it (placed on side) and the stuffed shrimps. Both were delicious and filling. Shortly after we ordered our entrees of Stuffed Flounder (description in picture), Full Rack of Rib (description in picture), and Pecan Crusted Chicken (description in picture). Everything was really fantastic. Ribs were fall off the bone, the crabmeat in the flounder was seasoned well, and pecan chicken was tender. The only thing we had a little complaint about is the dessert. Several times last year, we were told that they had a personal baker that makes the cakes and cheesecake for Malone's only and it was fantastic. We always enjoyed the cake and it was light and scrumptious. Now they only have cheesecakes and no cakes. We normally get the carrot cake (not cheesecake) and it was one of the moistest cakes we have ever had. Lots of cake and less cream with hints of carrot all over. Was the best. So we got the red velvet cheesecake and Oreo cheesecake to partake. Oreo crust and cheesecake filling was amazing. Red velvet was not the same as before. Other than that, it was all great. What I really want to commend is the service. Never had a problem with the service and today we had the best server. He introduced himself as "D-Rick" and provided several entrees and appetizers to recommend. Without hesitation, he was offer with our order. Once we were done with ordering the appetizers, our drinks were served promptly. And without skipping a beat, if we needed a refill, he would already bring a brand new drink saying "I seen you were running low". Totally one of the best servers ever I have encountered. He even had 6 other tables in the area and took care of them as well as he did our table. D-Rick is surely the server to entertain you and provide the best service you can ever have! Will be back again. Until the next time.

Yelp
I stopped by after picking up a friend from the airport on a Saturday afternoon. My guest and I sat at the bar. I must say, the shrimp and grits were even better once I ate them as leftovers. The grits were kinda thick but as I mentioned, tasted better later. The bartender never served the glass of water I requested until I asked again prior to leaving this establishment. I will add that there was plenty of parking and the restroom was clean.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way through town and will never return. We were initially excited when the appetizer (calamari) was decent. Ordered pork chops and 10oz sirloin for our meal. The chops were done perfect but the steak was badly overcooked despite ordering medium rare. The server ("Money") just blew it off and walked away with the steak without so much as an apology or offer to make it right. It's very sad to see people in this industry so uncaring and untrained. There are several eateries with better ratings and much better service in the area which we recommend you try, such as Louisiana Bistreaux.

Yelp
Wasn't busy but service was extremely slow. But our server did what she could - it seemed as if she was the only server in the entire area, we were at. The blackened shrimp pasta was surprisingly good! Drink wasn't as I anticipated. A little on the sweet side for an old fashion. The cake. Take it Togo. And eat it in bed! The best treat to unwind after a full day of traveling!

Chris F.

Yelp
This one of "go-to" spots when we near the airport, I get the wings of course, she gets the pork chops. And they haven't disappointed us, thus far. The bar tenders are attentive and the food on point.

Mary W.

Yelp
Great dinner spot. Ambiance was very nice. Noise level was great for conversations with party members. The food was served quickly and hot. Our server was very polite and attentive. My shrimp and grits was delicious but more spicy than I expected. The crusted grouper order by a party member was delicious. We all taste each other's food. . The Kale salad was beautiful but I am not a kale fan. . We had out of town guest so we chose this location for dinner being close to the airport hotel they were staying at. Everything was very pleasing g.

Jana R.

Yelp
First time here and we were so lucky to have Dorinda as our waiter and she was great. She made us feel like family we had a great time. The service was great and the door was equally as good.

Terrell R.

Yelp
Came from California to try Malone's, everything was delicious so much flavor I had the steak, catfish and jambalaya 10 out of 10,,, DORISSSA did her thang best costomer service ,,will definitely come back

Michael L.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. We enjoyed the food and especially the service. The Cabernet Chicken was awesome and the Caesar salad was very tasty. Amaiah provided top-notch service. Very impressed. Ask for her section when you visit.

Aj W.

Yelp
Very happy to have found this spot close to ATL airport. The restaurant is only a couple minutes from the airport so can be visited quickly or in my case after a late night landing. Not in the best area, but they have an on-site security guard and I found plenty of parking in their lot. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. I sat at the bar and the service was good. The atmosphere is a local atmosphere, but with a lot of business, travelers mixed in. I will definitely return here if I need a good clean place close to the airport.

Claudine R.

Yelp
Nice and affordable close to the airport. Not too busy but has a really small parking lot. Nice inside and the service was good. Was able to walk in but I could see a weekend night being busy. We both had the grouper and it's the first time I've ever had it and now it won't be the last. It was delicious. Had it with their mashed potatoes. The only thing lacking was it didn't come with any bread or options for bread. Good wine selection.

Rachelle O.

Yelp
Came here for the first time when in town on a trip. The margarita was great. You could tell the alcohol was in the drink but did not have an overwhelming taste that made it hard to drink. My husband got the ribeye. It was so tender and cooked exactly as ordered. I got the half rack of ribs. The portion was huge and the black beans and rice were great. Not bland billy not over seasoned either. Our server Brianna O. Was excellent. She was very pleasant even with being busy having a large group and us. The food came out quickly. We will be back the next time we are in town.

Leigh M.

Yelp
I really liked this place. A group of work colleagues and I came here for dinner tonight. The food was awesome, our waitress Jessica was AMAZING and the ambiance was nice. It's reasonably priced and within walking distance to a few hotels. They have a great selection of fish, amazing pork chops and wonderful steaks.

Darryl B.

Yelp
A nice place to dine with family and friends. They have a large menu to choose from. It's very roomy with a great bar also. The staff are always friendly with fast service. Our server was Ray. Very professional and personable

Heather N.

Yelp
We arrived to Atlanta late and didn't want to travel far to get some dinner so we went next door to our hotel. This place was pretty busy for 8 at night. On the sign it says bar and grill but then you get inside and see "steakhouse." So you automatically go, oh man, prices are probably high. They sure were. For $27 you get vegetarian pasta, costs $4+ to add protein AND you get ZERO items included, like soup or salad. My chicken was so chewy that I pushed it off to the side. My mom agreed that the chicken was not good. We mentioned this to our server, since we both had issues. The server didn't even offer any help with it. Not a discount or free dessert, nothing. So $27 for a bowl of noodles with good sauce but crunchy broccoli. I literally left hungry. I will skip this place next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Why the heck this place gets FOUR STARS has me thinking people who have dined here don't know what good food is. Yikes. I based my decision on coming to Malone's off of the four star rating but now I question everything because our experience was NOT spectacular. My husband got a FLAT Diet Coke and the ribeye with a side of mashed potatoes. He said the ribeye was good but there was so much fat on it that basically half of the "steak" was left on the plate. As for the potatoes. Inedible. They looked like the pre-made mashed potatoes you'd find in a school cafeteria. I order 6 wings and a side of salmon (a piece you would find on a salad). The wings, I will admit, really good. BORDERLINE a bit too fatty, but I did enjoy them. The salmon however. Good lord. I hate food waste, so I ate it, but I seriously feared for my life after consuming it. My husband made a comment about it looking gray and I told him it was due to the fact that the skin was removed thus is had the hue of the salmon skin color. However. When I started eating it. It tasted OFF. Like it was ABOUT TO TURN. Some bites were ok and then other bites were kind of SOUR. And the WORST PART... It was super raw in the center. I like my salmon cooked all the way through so this was disgusting to me. Alas, as I said, I ate it because I'm not one to want to make a scene... But I regretted every bite and wished I had just eaten at home. Thankfully I didn't get sick, but that 100% doesn't mean I'll ever go back to this place. Ever.

Yelp
The customer service was great and the food was DELICIOUS! Darissa the waitress recommended the 14oz Ribeye steak be I was NOT disappointe. I am older but I am a very small petite woman. I could not stop. It was just that good! I can't wait to come back!

Don L.

Yelp
Old school steak place. Can't recommend it. Steak was more fat than meat. Not good when you're paying $30+.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Friendly wait staff. Food was good. Walking distance from my hotel. Good portions. My entire table enjoyed their food. Would come back again.

Yelp
Stalking the College Park abyss? B sure to stop by Malone's for a quick tasty convenient bite and shore up your energy. Gotta love their 'expansive' bar area, Everything, No kidding. Caught game 4 World Series here, so glad we did. Their Gumbo knocked it outta the park. Every herb, spice u can think of. The Bourbon Salmon and Shrimp-n-Grits looked like easy goto's. Bar staff go way outta their way to make sure u happy / content. Thx Sara. And .. they gots Louisiana Bistreaux Hot Sauce in case; Above avg. (most C.Park pads give u Tabasco & walk away ;)

Rob B.

Yelp
Good service, popular place, good food, little pricey. I'd go again. Sat at the bar for supper.

Shasta D.

Yelp
Food and service was great. Very attentive and the gumbo was comforting and delicious on a st patty rainy day. The table and restaurant itself just seems very grimy and I don't like that. That day they had themed drink specials and it was refreshing.

Yelp
I was visiting ATL for a conference with a group of my friends and heard this was a great spot for creole food. A couple of the ladies had been here before and swore by it. When we pulled up in our Uber, we saw men working on the roof and the sign read Malone's Bar and Grill, I immediately thought we were at the wrong spot. Upon entering, I could tell that reservations weren't necessary because they had very few people in there. The young lady, Ashante, who waited on us was nice, but not very warm. It took a while to serve a group of our size, but she was alone. (we were a party of 15). I chose the stuffed flounder, the others had pasta, pork chops, catfish, chicken and shrimp and grits. I think I share everyone's thoughts that although the food was good, it was not worth the distance we traveled from our hotel to go there. My flounder was stuffed with crab and shrimp, but I don't know it was mushy it wasn't as good as I have had in the past. The catfish tasted as if the chef used flour instead of a corn meal. It had so much batter, it was more of a Long John Silver's taste. It took too long for all of us to get our food as I mentioned before and it took way too long to get our tickets settled. Our Uber driver was there to pick us up and she still wasn't finished cashing us out. Would I visit again, there's no reason for me to come back...

Larsandra D.

Yelp
The food was good ,service was amazing,I enjoyed every thing the desert was too good though I absolutely loveddd it !!!

Treana A.

Yelp
Came in on a whim and sat at the bar. Michelle the bartender was great! Drinks were stiff but still had good taste. She recommended the shrimp and grits and it didn't disappoint. Also tried burger and it was cooked exactly how we asked. Few other servers seemed to not be having a good day with each other but other than that great place. Will return for sure!

Yelp
I was dying for steak and hadn't taken myself out for one in years so thought I'd try Malone's Steak and Seafood. I ordered the 10 ounce sirloin, which comes with string beans and mashed potatoes. I asked them to double the order of string beans and leave out the mashed potatoes. The string beans were definitely not fresh, they were overcooked and they were not a double order, more watery than buttery. The steak had no fat in it or on it, which is a negative, however, it did have plenty of spices on it, which failed to enhance its flavor, which would've been difficult to do probably in any case. I ordered my steak, medium rare, more on the rare side than on the medium. I would say it was more medium than rare, and actually tasted as if it had been very well done, although it had a consistent pink color. The steak was not at all juicy, had the texture of what I imagine cardboard would be, and tasted mostly of the spices on its crust. As I said, there was no fat content, lack of flavor and juiciness if you're going to spend nearly $40 on a piece of meat I would suggest going elsewhere. The decor is very dark, and I could not see my rolled up cutlery in the black napkin on top of the black bar. The staff was very nice the people who greet you at the door and say goodbye to you are very pleasant, the bartenders, both male and female were also very friendly. The fellow sitting next to me grits and shrimp and he said they were delicious so if I go back there, I may try that, however, I will never have another steak at this "pretend" steak house. I was really hoping for a tasty, juicy piece of meat, Malone's was a bad choice sorry to say.

C T.

Yelp
Stayed near here, walked over on a rainy Sunday afternoon to enjoy the best hamburger I've had in a long time. Garlic mashed potatoes rocked also! Michelle gave great suggestions and makes a mean cocktail. All this and football too! Go Falcons!

Bob F.

Yelp
Traveling and doing a short stay near Atlanta airport so gave this a shot after reading reviews . Had some good and a few not so good . Onion soup was good but the calamari which said lightly breaded was way to much breaded . So if u remove the breading calamari was ok My main meal I enjoyed . Had rib eye and mash . It was good My wife though had stuff flounder and fish was over cooked and dry So overall it was ok but there's better. I would come back though if I'm in the area and it's already 8pm

J G.

Yelp
We (4) were told it was great place to eat. The food was cold, steak, chicken. Pink salmon was overcooked and cold The service was nothing to brag about, had to flag server down for drinks Waited 1 hr after ordering food to eat. We payed 5 star prices that wasn't worth 1 Star pricing . What ambiance? Don't waste your time! Thanks for Dairy Queen it saved the night!

Bruce A.

Yelp
Gotta love the Gumbo! Whatever you choose as a main dish, have to include a bowl of Gumbo. Been here a few times, and it never disappoints.

Amy M.

Yelp
Today I brought a group of business associates here for dinner. Our meal was amazing! The portions were more than expected and everything tasted delicious! The pork chops were HUGE and the flavor and cook was perfect! My associates got the bourbon glaze salmon, blacked Grouper, fried shrimp and chicken and all were outstanding! Desserts - oh my...the carrot cake cheesecake was amazing for a carrot cake! We also went with the souther pecan pie. Our waitress Abbie suggested the white chocolate Oreo cheesecake. All were excellent but the white chocolate Oreo cheesecake stole the show! You simply must try it! Abbie was a true delight! Attentive and helpful and pleasant - she was such a blessing to our evening! I will be back.

Amber M.

Yelp
I visited Atlanta to see my brother and sister in law back in August of 2022 and I was taken to Malone's for dinner. It is basically known as a steakhouse. So, that is what my brother ordered. I got the baby back ribs. The food was good but average. I would equate Malone's to maybe a Sizzler with more food choices. Since I don't know Atlanta area restaurants too well, I didn't have a say so in the selection. It's a decent restaurant with a decent menu. I just wasn't wowed. However, I would go back if I was in a pinch.

Zekelia R.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest and say that I have a keen eye for bugs wherever I go. I've found a worm in my salad at Olive Garden on 124, a roach in my son's biscuit at Copelands (well, he found it), bugs in my drinks at various places and the list goes on. But that doesn't negate my experiences. I order fried green tomatoes and a lemon drop at the bar of this establishment. Both were great. Solid 8/10. I ate and drank slowly as I waited for my son to give me flight status updates via text. When I was all done, I asked for the check. I received it. When I went to grab my card from my purse in my lap, a roach casually crawled from the belly of the counter to the top the top of the counter and right up to my plate. I calmly said "excuse me," as I pointed to the roach. The bartender walked over, grabbed a napkin, and even more quitter than I had been she simply placed the napkin over the roach to kill it. She l looked at me and said, "you're good", as she picked up my bill. It happened so quickly, but I basically just said "oh ok thanks" and quietly walked out. I wish I had stayed just a bit longer to see what the guy sitting next to me thought of that exchange, but I left pretty quickly after that and nearly threw up in the parking lot. So yea the food and drink were good, but any place with roaches is a no go in my book. Hence, I do not recommend this establishment.

Dan S.

Yelp
Great service. Place is always busy. Steak was delicious. Always dine here when staying by airport in Atlanta

Allan B.

Yelp
Leas than 10% full. Simple order. Over 30 minutes to get a salad abd side of broccolli. Sent back the broc due to way over salt. Second not much better. Broc and salad full of browned out leftovers. More green onions than anything else. $40. Better to have gone to McD's next door. Thi is what happens when work colleagues ask hotel for a recommendation, you get the local no-name dive.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Food was awesome the view was perfect my husband and I were exploring the area and glad we landed here!

Al A.

Yelp
I really like this place. They used to have a kung pao chicken bowl that was fantastic. I hope they bring it back.

K J.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! Love the atmosphere, staff and the food is awesome. On the light side the lexingtonian salad is fire!!

Ariana S.

Yelp
Seated promptly. Heard others complaining about waiting a while for dessert. But the slices of cake they got were beautiful! Perfect medium rare for the sirloin and medium for the NY Strip. Service was okay, not friendly but got the job done. Steaks were 10/10.

Jo Ann C.

Yelp
Chicken cabaret was so flavorful. Very good. Will eat here again. Getting ready to tackle the killer choco cake.

LaDray G.

Yelp
When I used to come to Atlanta to fly out, Malone's was always a staple. Now that I live in Atlanta, every time I'm in the College Park/East Point area, I'm going in. I, particularly, like their lunch menu because that's where the burger is and it's my favorite. Although, you can't really go wrong with the menu options they have available. It is, literally, all good. The servers are, generally, very nice and are very attentive. Malone's setup is unique in that it offers a sports bar feel with full dining room options. Make sure you save room for desert because they never miss. Even when I don't have room for anything else after my meal, I'm probably going to be taking a slice of cake or pie home. Make sure you stop by and give this place a try. Well worth it!

Jim W.

Yelp
We picked a winner of a restaurant for a post on-the-road work day get together. Malones catered to our needs with a group of eight and even were flexible to issue separate checks! Everyone was very satisfied with the food and the speed of service! I really enjoyed the blackened shrimp Alfredo and hope to return on my next trip to this area!

Karen L.

Yelp
Great service, good food. I had the shrimp and grits which was delicious. My hubby had pecan crusted chicken with sweet potato mash. He said they mixed Panko bread crumbs with pecans crust. It was all good.

Savanna S.

Yelp
I ordered takeout through here while I was in town and staying nearby. I ordered ahead for the food to be ready at 8pm (order placed around 6:45). It took almost an hour to receive a confirmation about my order that then stated my order would not be ready until 8:30. I arrived at 8:30 and spoke to the hostess trying to explain I had a mobile order and she cut me off and told me I needed to wait for someone else to help me, as 2 other hostesses were standing there. I moved to the side and waited for around 5 minutes while one hostess was doodling in her book, and another stepped behind the counter and was eating and blatantly staring at me. Finally another hostess came by and offered to look for my order (which had been sitting on the counter next to the girl who was eating the whole time) and handed me my meal. I can't remember her name but she was sweet and attentive. I arrived back to my hotel and the salmon was very over cooked and rubbery, my dessert had been left out and the soup was cold. I called the restaurant and explained the situation and just asked if it was possible for me to get a refund for the dessert I did not receive as I did not want to drive back there, and I was told instead I could pick it up the following day. Fast forward to the next day I was able to pick up the dessert but was treated like I was an inconvenience for them messing up my order, very snippy and rude. The cheesecake has the texture of hard rubber and the flavor is very mediocre. For the price I expected far better, even from takeout I could tell that the service here is awful and the food is not worth what you pay at all, I would stay away.

Raymont B.

Yelp
Great food!!! Love the food !!! Can't wait to come back!! Waitress was awesome !!! Tried something different this go round!!!

Warren W.

Yelp
Food was outstanding, Tyler the bartender was on point.... great place, highly recommended!!

Pam B.

Yelp
I attended an event tonight at Malones. We were upstairs and the original intention was for our group of about 120 to use both the indoor and outdoor areas. It rained hard and was windy so we all ended up in a pretty small indoor space. Even though we were packed in, we had a great time! The food was great, they served all of us drinks in a very short period of time and their wait staff was excellent. Even in these tight conditions, they were cheerful, efficient, friendly, and polite. One stood out from the excellent work of the entire staff. Her name is Belay. She was amazing. She managed to make us all feel so welcome. No request was difficult for her. She not only took orders in tight conditions with all of us roaming around, she managed to get all those drinks to the right people. She checked in with my little group several times and took away our empty plates and glasses as soon as they were emptied. She kept the place tidy while being friendly, welcoming, and so kind. I hope she's appreciated. I'd come back to Malones in a heartbeat based on the excellent service, tasty food and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I'll ask for Belay when I do!

Billy B.

Yelp
Great crab - stuffed shrimp appetizer! N look forward to going back, BUT not staying in wrecking-ball needed hotels around it!

Deron M.

Yelp
Currently here. Grilled grouper overcooked. Potato's lumpy. Horrible meal for $27.99.

Asia C.

Yelp
The shrimp and grits was surprisingly good and actually spicy. I would order it again if I lived here.
