Like Doctor Who's TARDIS, this store must be bigger on the inside. What seems like a broom closet is exploding with amazing beer, delicious snacks, and a perfectly curated cheese selection. Free tastings on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons allow you to try new and different beers. The owner and staff have always been incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Great little beer shop. Stopped in just as they were starting a free beer tasting, which included a number of interesting options on tap, including a couple unique sours. Friendly staff and wide selection for it's size.

If you are a "hopsologist" or just love the idea of perfect and unique pairings for your craft beers, then Malt and Mold should be on your list of shops to visit. Proprietor Kevin is a master at selecting, serving and advising on a wide variety of culinary topics. Bonus Tip: The kegs are not always repeated, so if you taste something you like, take it home in a growler. Be sure to peruse the great artisan and locally made products for pairing with your suds.

I love the Kips Bay location of Malt and Mold, which I stumbled upon during a walk. I decided to give this original location a try, only to be sorely disappointed. Due to licence issue, they cannot give you a taste of the beers on tap, which sort of makes the growler-filling experience pointless. And unlike the other location which has always been helmed by one of the owners when I dropped in, the service at this location was perfunctory and moody. Won't be going back.

This place made my life better! The staff, beer and cheese choices are incredible! I am so lucky this gem opened in Gramercy. Its a great place to enjoy hard to find craft beer and to of course meet neighbors!

Great little craft beer bottle shop. If you need a growler filled or some fancy cheese, ask Kevin.
