"The schtick at Mama Della’s is theme-park Italian. Find the entrance off the Portofino-inspired hotel’s piazza and watch as tableside musicians and “Mama” make the rounds. Don’t worry; that superficiality ends with the food. Hearty Italian indulgences like chicken Parmesan and lasagna fill the menu, but the brown butter-doused pollo alla carbonara, speckled with pancetta and peas, reigns supreme." - Carlye Wisel

Absolutely loved the place! Took the water shuttle from City Walk and it was the best dining experience of our trip. From the friendly staff to the delicious food it was just a great time. Throw in some live music as they walked around singing to your table taking your requests to the good prices (especially for Universal Resort), you just can't have a better dining experience. The pasta tasted home made, bread tasted like it was right out of the oven, the sauce was more savory and not horribly sweet like most places, and the chicken was just a perfect balance of breading/cheese/sauce. I can't recommend the place enough. If/when we come back to the area we will go out of our way to make it back. Just felt like an old school family run restaurant focusing on good food and good times. Even sitting outside by the water waiting to go in made you perfectly fine with a little wait. you need to go, you wont regret it, especially if you are staying in/around universal. Everything just feels like a tourist trap money grab. This honestly felt so out of place in how authentic it felt.

We are staying at Universal Resorts for part of our honeymoon. Tonight we had an excellent experience at Mama Della’s. We made a reservation on Open Table and got seated right away. The food was good, the wine and drinks were good, they accommodated my dairy allergy, and we were even Serenaded by a trio of singers with a guitar. All around great experience for the resort stay. Lawrence was our server and he was excellent. Thank you!

We had such a beautiful dining experience tonight. The service was prompt and attentive. There were two gentlemen performing opera serenades while we ate. We requested Silent Night and, although the kind singer lamented he only knew one verse, it was probably one of the most touching renditions of the song I'd ever heard. His performance of Ave Maria was also incredibly lovely. Definitely would dine here again because the food was delicious on top of the live music.

This place has the most amazing food and is worth the price you pay. The filet was cooked perfectly; I mistakenly did not get a photo of the Chef’s Special which was a mushroom risotto with shrimp, but it was the BEST mushroom risotto I have ever had. The accordion player and opera singers came around and performed a song for almost every table that was there during the course of our meal, which was really fun to see (plus made the wait time go by quicker). I will 100% be back! Also, the parking fee might deter some people, but if you’re going for dinner, it is waived—you just have to get a ticket from your server.

I avoid arriving at a restaurant at almost closing time because service might not be 100% and some items from the menu may not be available. This was not the case here at all. The food was excellent as well as the staff. We even got our own Soprano show table-side. They come to your table and ask if you want a specific song. I wasn't prepared for this so my request was probably the first Italian song that comes to most people's mind "Con te Partiró". The lady executed it perfectly 🥰. If you have a chance please visit this restaurant, we had and amazing experience. 👏 Everthing that we ordered was delicious, the Chicken Carbonara was my personal favorite.

In one thought....underwhelming. don't get me wrong, it was good but for the price point I expected their culinary muscles to be flexed a bit more. It was somewhat bland and lacking flavor. The service was great and the restaurant is beautiful. We were even serenaded in Italian!

We came by for magical dining and were really impressed. The moment you walk in you smell all the delicious smells. We had Calvin as our waiter and he was great! Made sure to keep our food coming out at a consistent pace, all of it was delicious and plenty of delicious recommendations. We tried the pasta fagiole, bolognese and cannolis (not pictured because we jumped into them right away).

We came for a date night and from when we first sat down up until we left this was by far the BEST restaurant experience I’ve had EVER and I have worked in the food industry for years. I have been wanting to go here since I worked for Lowe’s back in 2015 at a sister property. I’m thankful that it didn’t happen until now so that I could truly enjoy everything like I did last night! I’ll be honest from the water lol to the food everything was on point. Server was GREAT he knew his food pairings with the wine and gave us really great recommendations while still being so attentive to us. The wine selection is impeccable from my experience we got a bottle and it went with everything we ate it’s a MUST try! Calamari was the best we had ever had and we eat a lot of calamari, it was so good they just melted in your mouth! They chose really great dishes to feature if you are doing Magical Dining. Food was nothing less than mouth watering. Hats off to the chef!!! The Gelato was like no other. To end the night we got a cappuccino and got to meet Mama Della herself, such a beautiful soul. We will be back sooner than expected after telling everyone about our amazing experience!

Yelp
We came here after a day spent in Universal Studios. My wife, mother in law and sons, ages 20, 17, and 12 years old. My wife got the Piccata (substitute chicken for the veal), my mother in law got the Veal Piccata, and I ordered the Gnocchi. My boys had the Fettuccine Alfredo (with chicken), Lasagna, and Spaghetti and meatballs. I tried a little bit of everyone's dish and was very pleased with each one. I read a previous review that said this was the best spaghetti they ever had... I have to agree. My 12 yr old said, "I feel like it is illegal to eat something this good. It is like not too tasty, but not too little tasty. It is amazing." My 20 yr old commented, "I feel like I am going to cry. This is so good," referring to his Fettuccine. These reactions sound exaggerated, but these were their genuine reactions. I also had the citrus cheesecake to end the night. Very light citrus flavor and delicious. It's almost like a strawberry cheesecake with a hint of citrus flavor. On top of the food being wonderful, the restaurant itself was great. It had a fancier feel to it, but still comfortable for a family. There were kids of all ages eating and enjoying while we were there. There was a duo of gentlemen singing with a third playing his guitar. Beautiful singing voices that .are it feel more like Italy. We heard them sing songs (including happy birthday) in English, and I requested one in Italian. It was outstanding. They even sang what was the original song for Spiderman when requested by a table that had a handful of little kids. The servers were great, attentive, and nice. Also willing to take a photo of your party for you, as I witnessed one do for another table. Italian food is my favorite, and I was more than happy with everything here. It's definitely a place I would come back to regularly if I didn't live on the other side of the country. Photos courtesy of my 12yr old

Yelp
Our family was very happy to dine here after a long day at Hollywood Studios- and we were not disappointed. We did make reservations as we know these restaurants get very packed during dinner time, glad we did because it was full. We had such a lovely waitress who made great recommendations and was very friendly. Food came out in great time. I wasn't particularly fond of the bread, felt like it was a bit hard and dry, but it was accompanied by olive oil and herbs, so if you dipped it in the sauce it helped. I had the Shrimp Campanelle, that was so delicious!! They did not have tiramisu which is my favorite dessert, so that was a little sad, but other than that, very beautifully decorated restaurant that we really enjoyed!

Yelp
I saw some good reviews for this restaurant, and we were tired of the food from city walk and decided to try a restaurant in the area. The positives - service was great, our waiter Mohamed was very kind. They did forget the peroni my husband ordered but that's ok we weren't in the mood to get a drink at the time having drank some wine in the afternoon prior to dinner. The bread was good - they give a rosemary sliced bread, some bread sticks and also bread that has fresh garlic inside. Along with that was some butter and for dipping, Roasted garlic in oil which was good. For appetizers we got Caesar salad (terrible, tasted like nothing but eating almost plain romaine lettuce) and calamari (which was very good until you got all the way to the bottom where the rest were in a bed of oil) The calamari portion was very large, and we were starting to get full as we had a couple of things to eat before dinner, so we decided to share a chicken carbonara pasta. Now let me just say this pasta was pretty terrible. The pictures looked really good so I was excited for it. They were very nice and split the meal in separate pasta bowls for us which was still a huge portion each ! The chicken was well cooked but the main part of the dish, the spaghetti had chunks of cheese. I did mention it to the waiter in which he mentioned that carbonara sauce is made of egg and cheese (which I already know) and I guess I should have said my issue with it was not the sauce itself it was the chunks of cheese- the sauce was not mixed well into an actual sauce and the chunks were intertwined with the spaghetti. He did offer to have it remade again but with less cheese, stating then it would not taste like carbonara explaining the base of the sauce-- so he didn't really understand where I was getting at. But it was nice to offer The waiter was kind and brought us two scoops of dulce de leche for our anniversary even though we weren't up for dessert - was sweet of him!

Yelp
Definitely call to make a reservation The overall experience at Mama's was exceptional; from service to food. Enjoyed the chicken parm based upon other reviews and they were spot-on. Huge portion and the spaghetti was great. Also ordered the lasagna which was excellent. The bread sticks and bread with garlic olive oil were a great start to an exceptional experience. Shout out to our friendly server Vianney - we had a nice conversation with him about his tenure of 22 years there. Finished the night with a mini cannoli and fresh fruit. HIGHLY recommended.

Yelp
I was in Orlando for a work conference at the Lowe's Portofino Bay resort and my family decided to come with me. We ended up trying Mama's out of convenience- it was late, we had traveled all day, and they had a reservation. The second time we went back, because we needed it again. The atmosphere is very Italian. It seems like there hasn't been a lot of updating done, but it also adds to the appeal. Nothing is dirty, just old (in a good way). The first night they also had live music. Three guys walked around to each table and sang a song for them. For us, they sang Spider-Man and my kids loved it. The server the first night was fantastic! He was funny, kind, and engaged with all of us. The second time we went, not the same level of engagement, but we never went without. We had what we needed or wanted in a timely manner. The real reason we went back - the food. Two of us got fettuccine Alfredo and devoured it. They said it was close to the best they've ever had (which, rude, because I make them Alfredo often lol), another one got spaghetti and meatballs, and the last got pizza, and a salmon with shrimp dish. We all loved our dishes. If we ever go back we will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Magical Dining #4 at Mama Della's - Loew's Portofino at Universal. In full disclosure, we needed to pick our Halloween Horror Nights tickets before they closed on a Non-HHN night so I thought this would be a great option as we have been to the property and had the food of all of their restaurants during Harbor Nights events. Mama Della's had the best reviews and the only MD menus. Upon arrival, we had the choice of free self or $5 valet parking with validation. They have 4 restaurants there that validate and you can keep the car there as long as you wish (prior to midnight). We took the boat over to Universal and it dropped us off in front of the sports bar so you miss the security madness and the long walk from the $30 parking garage. And, it's super close to Universal Studios. The boats run very frequently. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes on each side. It was a great night for the ride! Upon return, we were quite early for our reservation but they gladly took us. It was quiet at that time as they just opened shortly before. We were greeted by lovely people and had a wonderful server, Youssef (that spoke Italian). Considering the portion sizes, we opted for one magical dining and I had an appetizer for dinner. We started with the complimentary breads and garlic olive oil. YUM. really great. We had the calamari for the app - delicious and a hefty portion with a vat of sauce. It wasn't anything like you can get elsewhere but very good. For the entrees, I had the mussels my husband had the gargantuan chicken parm accompanied with spaghetti and one broccoli spear. The mussels were outstanding (only 2 unopened) and a large portion as well. Dipping the breads in the buttery garlic sauce was divine. We still had leftover bread and several mussels and sauce to use for a later dish. The park was ok. Nothing special and a little dry - we have had this issue with chicken parm in the past. We did take the leftovers as we will still enjoy them later - it's at least 2 more meals. We will opt for another dish in the future. We each had Italian wines and they were excellent. During the meal we had the most wonderful singers come by to sing whatever we wanted. I contained myself with selecting something crazy like the Thong Song and opted for LOVE by Nat King Cole. They didn't know this one but figured it out very quickly. Super impressive! The live singers can get quite loud in there as it's a smaller place so I'd imagine that would affect people who would like to eat in a quieter environment. We loved it! For dessert, we had the Dulce De Leche gelato. We had this before and it was SO good. 2 full scoops was plenty to share. Overall a really nice experience and solid magical dining choice. I do wish they still had pizza on this menu. We plan to do this again each year when we pick up our tickets! When we received our car, the valet asked if we would like water or a coffee to go. Really nice touch.

Yelp
This place really delivered on the Italian dining experience. Mama's home decor made it feel authentic. White linen table covering and comfy couches on a side of the table. Our server was amazing with recommendations and perfect timing for deliveries. Great service from the hostess , waiter and roaming guitarist serenading diners. The food was so good that I would definitely go again when in the area.

Shannen B.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Mama Della's. As a restaurant at a universal hotel, you worry that it won't be authentic or good, but this restaurant was both. The food was both delicious and very fairly priced. The inside is very cute, you feel like you're in Italy! And the service was very good. I recommend ordering one of their more authentic dishes. You can tell which ones are and which ones aren't pretty easily from the menu.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Mama Della's is wholesome and has amazing italian food and you can find mama cooking right in the kitchen to this day! How wonderful! Went with my family and friends and enjoyed some fine Italian dishes! They also have live entertainment and amazing singers and you can even request your favorite Italian song they will sing right at your table! The service is above and beyond and we love coming here every year!

Ziyan B.

Yelp
Absolutely five star experience: food, service, ambiance!! We had dinner here at the first night we got to Orlando. It was around 8pm and we chose to sit outside. Our server Maria was extremely pleasant and attentive. We got calamari as appetizer and a 2-people chef's special seafood medley to share as entree. Their complimentary bread (2 types) and olive oil was a treat. The seafood medley had Chilean sea bass, scallops, prawns, mussels, clams and linguine pasta in white wine sauce, simply amazing. We were too full to order a dessert, but we plan to go back and try their dessert.

Yelp
If you take the boat to the Loew's Portofino Bay Hotel this place is located towards the right end of the middle part facing the water on the ground level. Entering, it really feels like you have been transported back to a small, old, Italian establishment leaving the chaos of Universal Studios behind you for a moment. Well, at least until you spot someone dining in logo wear... Service is great and the night I was there, they had entertainment going from table to table for singing and guitar. To start the PAN-STEAMED MUSSELS - Garlic, pancetta, pesto green sauce, chopped parsley, garlic crostini, were and ideal dish. The main of POLLO ALLA CARBONARA - Pan-seared chicken, spaghetti, pancetta, English peas, was a little disappointing on the chicken. It was too much of an add for the plate, and it was a little dry. It would have been nicer if it was integrated into the pasta in smaller pieces or available as an option for the meal as opposed to just coming with it. Overall, this is a great option for an Italian meal, and if you use a little bit of imagination you will feel like you are not in Florida for the time you are there.

Gabrielle R.

Yelp
I've had the pleasure of coming here twice and both times the food was delicious. I came for magical dining this time and it was a magical experience. we were greeted at the door where we confirmed our reservation with the hostess. Immediately, after we were agreed again by a wonderful woman who served us with water and our breadsticks for the evening. Our waiter came over next and introduced himself, and he was also very wonderful. Not pictured here is my glass of sangria, which I started, which which was very delicious. We also had to start with which was wonderful as well. The main course was the Branzino which was recommended by my waiter and OMG was it so good! It was a mix of salty and sweet Oily goodness! The fish skin was perfect. It was so super crispy as if it had been fried. However, the meat of the fish was so fluffy and succulent. It is probably the best piece of fish I have ever had in my life. I had dessert, which was a gelato, which was delicious as well. I can't believe that they're offering this level of seafood at such a wonderful price. the main event and the icing on the cake at this restaurant is that they also have musicians come around to sing a song for you any Italian song that you may know. It was so beautiful and really made the dinner extra special! I hope they have this available on magical dining again and would advise you if you are in the area to stop by Mama Della's.

J W.

Yelp
On top of great food the service was incredible too. Everything was beyond what was expected in the best way The recommendations were so spot on and I can finally see why everyone told us to come here on our trip. Can't wait to come back for more lasagna asap

Joe H.

Yelp
Brought the family here while on vacation and staying at Loews pacific Royal. We took the water taxi which is free and nice. I tried to move the time of the reservation however I was told they were no openings however when we ate it was half empty which was odd. The inside is clean and staff was friendly.

Quyen N.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. And great music band. Not pretty sure if it's only during holidays but that's stunning!

Jennie A.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner and experience here. We got seated right when we arrived for our reservation. We were brought bread almost immediately which was perfect. The workers really fit the Italian culture of the restaurant and the food was very good. We were even serenaded to, you could choose English or Italian! It was my birthday so they also brought us a free dessert! I would definitely go here again and recommend it.

Brent S.

Yelp
Excellent Italian restaurant, a must do if you're visiting Disney world or universal etc.

Kaelen W.

Yelp
On my top 3 best restaurant list. The food here was spectacular and authentic and freshly made. I also came here two times and it was good every time. The service here was wonderful because the food did not take too long to be cooked and the staff were friendly and polite. The ambiance at this location was a very nice Italian restaurant. The restaurant was also very clean and very nice. For the reasons I have in this review, I highly encourage and recommend you visit this location if you stay at this hotel because of the good service and good food and good ambiance.

Amy J.

Yelp
We had reservations for 8:15 and arrived a few minutes early. We were seated within a few moments at a four top with cushy seating near the kitchen. I enjoy watching the kitchen staff working. We were greeted right away and given special pricing menu details for 3 course meal at $40. We didn't opt for that as we wanted different selections than offered. We started with a Cesar salad no dressing but it arrived with dressing. Our server returned with a fresh salad after we got his attention to the matter. The chicken parmigiana was a huge dish served with spaghetti and broccolini. It is more than enough for one person. I'd say two people. I had the gnocchi and it was also good. The sauce is sweet if you don't mind that which I don't. The chicken was cooked well with a crispy crust and nice cheesy top. The gnocchi came with ricotta cheese in the center of the dish and it was creamy. A tad cool to offset. The bread basket they offer is large with homemade garlic bread and breadsticks that are crunchy. Served with garlic oil and butter. We enjoyed our meal and being serenaded. What a lovely touch to the meal. The guitar player and singers asked what song we would like and we let them select. One table had Spider-Man played for them. Very nice meal in the Universal Resort and nice to escape the typical grub one has in city walk or the parks.

Nyla C.

Yelp
Amazing service. Very attentative and personal. Loved the lasagna and the shrimp scampi

Kelly R.

Yelp
We were staying at Portofino Bay and looking for something more low key than CityWalk and the parks. I found this gem and it's amazing reviews so I knew I had to try. I first have to acknowledge our server Lance who was one of the most attentive and helpful waiters I've ever had. He was one of those you'll remember who sets the standard. The food was good. I personally had the soup which was excellent along with the a salad. I'd recommend them both. The other people in our party had the bolognese and chicken parm which they both said were tasty. To top it off, they had Italian singers singing for each table. It was an excellent experience and I'd definitely recommend for anyone who's in the area that's craving some great Italian food.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
The staff is super friendly and makes you feel like a million bucks. I ordered the chicken parm and holy cow the size of that chicken. It's enough for two people to split and it's so good! The entertainment here is top notch. I honestly couldn't believe how incredible the singers were. Someone give these guys a record deal!

Yulissa Y.

Yelp
The service was awesome , food was delicious for the most part I ordered a chicken piccata which was specially made by the chef it was on the saltier side and was the same cost as the Veal 38$ for a chicken piccata is a little ridiculous. Otherwise the rigatoni bolognese was absolutely delicious as well as the fettuccini Alfredo and the fried calamari .

Joshua C.

Yelp
The only truly good place to eat at Universal Orlando. Strolling musicians are fun addition and somehow avoid being corny. Dishes were authentic and delicious. No complaints here.

Ted K.

Yelp
Decor is theme park Italian but something about it seemed sad and dated. Not like the vivid colors of the Universal theme parks. The best part was the singer who came around to serenade the tables. Had the fried calamari which was okay. Had the pollo carbonara which I don't know exactly why but I didn't want to eat it. Maybe I went on The Incredible Hulk one too many times.

Tasneem A.

Yelp
My husband and I dined here during our stay at lowes sapphire Resort and it was a wonderful experience. Definitely made up for the poor resort experience. I ordered eggplant parmigiana and my husband ordered the chicken Parmesan. Both were really good and tasted nice and fresh. They are also very generous with the amount of cheese they put on top. I know it's silly to review the bread basket but the first bread basket was good and for some reason the second basket was completely different bread that was pretty much inedible. All in all we enjoyed the food and the service. They had a live singer at the restaurant who goes table to table. She starts up a conversation then offers to sing for you, so you're in for a treat.

Carolyn J.

Yelp
We didn't stay at the Portofino Bay hotel (will one day - #goals), but took the boat from CityWalk. Portofino Bay is a gorgeous Universal hotel that looks like an Italian fishing village. When we arrived there was an opera singer singing from the balcony and a party going on in the "square". Mama Dellas is decorated like an old-fashioned Italian home and is so cute. They have an Italian singer and guitar player around the restaurant while you eat, which adds to the ambience. The bread appetizer was delicious - my favorite was the rosemary bread and garlic olive oil to dip in. For entrees, Mom & Hubs got the lasagna and it was SO GOOD. Half of it had red sauce and the other half was covered in cheese. I got the veal & pasta in caper sauce, also SUPER GOOD. We each wanted our own desserts, lol. Mom got a cheesecake which was pretty good - it had lemon in it. Hub's tiramisu was amazing! Perfect coffee flavor. I was stuffed by that point so I just got gelato. They had 4-5 flavors to choose so I got chocolate and strawberry. Really good, but I couldn't finish it. This was a wonderful meal & I look forward to eating here next time I come to Orlando. :)

Gina T.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our dinner at Mama Dellas! I did feel badly for some other people with reservations. The hostess didn't seem to be in a good mood? There was an older couple who had a reservation the same time as ours. They were a little salty toward the hostess about not being seated early and she ended up seating them 20 minutes after us, though there were plenty of empty tables. For us, we had a lovely waiter and got serenaded by a guitarist and singer. The calamari was delicious, recommend that for an app. The marinara that comes with it is a bit different, it's spicy among other things. We weren't sure if it was our favorite at first, but it grew on us. Delicious. For entrees, we ordered the filet and chicken marsala (a special). Both were great. Would happily return next time we're in Orlando.

Mikey L.

Yelp
Small menu but executed well - nice ambiance somewhat smaller though but they went out of their way to accommodate our large party.

Hallie S.

Yelp
The ambiance & service is truly what makes the place. Excellent & informative about the experience & the singers will take requests! The Bruschetta Caprese con Burrata was the star of the meal, a little on the small side though so I would suggest two orders for parties larger than four. My gnocchi was beautiful and baked but still reminded me that I was dining within a theme park resort.

Miriam C.

Yelp
We loved the convenience of staying in this hotel and having a delicious dinner option in walking distance! You do need to make a reservation or you will not be able to eat( on weekends at least). The bread they start you with is delicious! My son loved the buttered noodles. Kids meals are $16 which is expensive, but it comes with a drink and a dessert! The fettuccine Alfredo was delicious! $27 with no protein is ridiculous, which is why I'm taking one star. I do get it's on universal property, so I get it, but it's still ridiculous. We also tried the meat pasta with Burrata cheese. It was good, but didn't have the wow factor of the Alfredo. When we first got there, the opera singers were right by our table for a good 15 min and it was very loud. They took a break and we could actual hear each other. We did enjoy them singing to us at the end of our meal! They were incredible performers, just loud at the beginning. I recommend this place to anyone staying on property! The wine was excellent as well!

Beth E.

Yelp
The server Mohammad was awesome! Very sociable! The food was so yummy! Steak cooked to perfection, calamari was super tender, the chicken Parmesan was delicious. We were serenaded by a lovely trio that were absolutely amazing! No cell service but it is worth the quiet time.

Sam P.

Yelp
We went for Magical Dining. My friend had calamari which was perfect, rigatoni bolognese which was good and dulce de ledge gelato. I chose to skip the Magical menu and have the Chef's Special. It was English pea risotto with scallops and was thoroughly underwhelming. If you've ever had mushy peas in a fish and chip shop, it tasted like that with rice mixed in. I personally love mushy peas but not like this. The scallops were over cooked and rubbery and the whole dish lacked flavor and/or seasoning. The restaurant itself is designed to look like a series of rooms in a family home, and is very welcoming. But when the roaming singers pay more attention to the table than the wait staff that's a problem. There were zero check backs and we finally were able to request a water refill at the end, it came with the check. I will go back, but I'll choose different food,

Randy H.

Yelp
The waitstaff was pleasant and prompt. The restaurant was clean and bright. The food was standard and was very good. A decent place.

Brianna R.

Yelp
This was our favorite restaurant during our trip to Universal. We stayed at the Portofino Bay hotel and picked the restaurant that seemed to have the best reviews, and wow! First, this place is the cutest. It's decorated like an old Italian style house and feels very cozy. They also had an Italian singer and guitarist that came around to every table and sang to each party! The food was amazing. Classic Italian. I got a Sangria which was great! For our appetizers we shared the Gamberi Scampi (shrimp scampi) and the Pan-Steamed Mussels. I'm a sucker for garlic and both of these were delightful. For our entrees, I had the Lasagna and my husband has the Pollo alla Parmigiano. Both were flavorful and quite filling. For dessert we went with the Traditional Tiramisu. It was creamy and had the lovely coffee flavor that would be expected from a traditional tiramisu. Overall a wonderful experience and we will surely come here again next time. Also be sure to get a reservation because it was busy when we went!

Yelp
We were super happy we chose Mama Della's! It was a very good dinner and we enjoyed it. Nice service, fun atmosphere. Good food. I went in not expecting much and my soup & Calamari were excellent and I was very happy. Son chose the Chicken Parmesan and he was happy. We had food to go for our midnight snacks. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Yelp
Food was amazing ! I had the carbonara and undoubtedly the best one I've ever had. Bread dipping oil with roasted garlic confit was delicious. Bread was hot. Portion sizes were great, very much filling. Service was also so good. Calvin is a great personable guy, and you can tell he cares about the food. The restaurant even had people going around and singing. Ambiance is homey, family style cooking that's been elevated to perfection. GET the carbonara. It is unreal.

Yelp
Located in the Loew's Portofino Bay Hotel, one of the most northern parts of the park, this is about as fine-dining as you get inside Universal. The area is beautiful and the second you step off of the boat that brings you to the dock, you would swear you were in Tuscany. If you are planning to dine at Mama Della's Ristorante, make sure you get a reservation. We didn't call until the last minute for reservations and getting table was over an hour wait. Once inside, the restaurant decor makes it feel like you've stepped into the living room of a house in Italy. I ordered the pre-set three course meal for $40 and it was outstanding! Starting with a large cast-iron pan of calamari fritti, which were perfectly crispy and came with a homemade marinara sauce for dipping. Next, the rigatoni bolognese was rich with savory beef and topped with melted burrata cheese. Finally, the chocolate dipped cannoli with mini chocolate chips, powdered sugar, and fresh strawberries and raspberries was the ultimate palate cleanser after a delicious meal. Our server was friendly and accommodating and he really made this the most perfect dining experience during my three day trip to Universal Studios. I highly recommend Mama Della's: it's worth the price, it's worth the wait, it's worth the experience.

Yelp
Excellent service and best filet steak ever with Demi glaze sauce. Cheers to the cooks there. You made my night. I'd love to learn how you do it. Perfect steaks every time I went. Tonight, I decided to try The Palm at The Hard Rock. It was terrible. I told the manager to check in With you guys. Your the best and I'll be back. I wish I did not live 1200 miles away.

Yelp
The food was great! And the service + ambiance was better. We went in on a Saturday night and in addition to our meal had a trio of singers serenade us as we ate. You get the pick the song as well

Yelp
The server Junior is amazing and very personable! He made great recommendations. The food was amazing and I really enjoyed the guy that played his guitar.

Yelp
I am so glad I decided to try Mama Della's Ristorante. I ordered the filet steak twice last month and this month and it was beyond excellent. The cooks really know how to cook a good steak for I always order my steak medium well. The demi-glaze Chianti sauce is incredible. I live 1200 miles away and will fly back to the Orlando area to visit much more often. Cheers to the cooks there and who ever buys their amazing steaks. Not only are the steaks suburb, but staff and strolling Italian singers bring the icing on the top. I am a senior and have dined at many steakhouse restaurants and even though this restaurant is Italian, the steaks stand out better than any steakhouse I have dined at and I have been to quite a lot over the past six decades of my life. Cheers to the cooks and everyone who makes this dining experience amazing. Sarah L, Londonderry, NH

Yelp
This place is Italian ? It's loud when we were there they had two opera singers that sang nice but was very loud especially in small room. This place to me is a tourist trap. I love love eggplant it looked good when it came out.. it was horrid.. way to much old tasting tomato sauce tasted like it was boiling for a week. Hubby had spaghetti and meatballs he said the same swimming in ick tasting sauce. Not impressed cept the server was good. 3 beers spaghetti meatballs eggplant no sides 84.00 before tip. Would I eat here again not even if I were starving the photos look better by far than what it tastes

Yelp
Yeah, this place slayed. Our group was craving Italian food since we were staying at Portifino Bay and were so happy to have found this place. My boyfriend and I are vegan (but the rest of the group wasn't) so we were a bit worried that we wouldn't find any options but this place was very accommodating. The chef made a simple vegan pasta with red sauce and veggies from scratch and it was amazing!! That was our only option but I think but it was great. The atmosphere is cute too! Our server was so kind and attentive and made sure we were having a nice time. There was a small group that came around and sang to guests which was so adorable. Our table was hesitant to participate at first because we're all introverted but the performers were so pleasant, it was such a fun experience! I highly recommend this place if you're vegan and looking for an fun experience on property.

Yelp
How this place has a high rating, I will never know. I was told this was great Italian food and it tasted like Olive Garden. The food was overpriced, dry, and bland. The ambience wasn't good. Tables all shoved together. Very loud and the singers is super awkward. We told the server to not have the singers come to our table b/c you could hear them from across the restaurant. It was just super loud and really annoying. I thought it was funny they wore masks walking around but then stood right in front of the tables and took the masks off LOL Restaurant is kid friendly so if you're looking for a romantic spot I would avoid here. Big wine menu but they were out of each wine I picked out. Service was okay. They were super rushed and seemed frazzled. They don't take passholder discounts either. I wouldn't eat here again.

Yelp
I have to say this place was amazing! The food, the service spectacular, the ambience superb and wow the singers! You must go! Won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
It was nice to take the boat over from universal to portifino bay for dinner. The ambience is nice and so was the entertainment as they come around to each table and ask what song you would like to hear, they then serenade you. The bread was great. my food tasted good but came out room temperature instead of hot.

Yelp
The reviews are highly overrated, but it's not bad. Average chicken parmigiana, lasagna and below average calamari. Pricing above average. Great atmosphere so overall good experience. Just be warned the food is average at best.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant twice since moving to Orlando. Each time has been special and fun and delicious! There was a singer in the restaurant who even came over and sang us a song of our choosing- it was very cool! Would definitely come back!

Yelp
We went to Mama Della's while staying at Portofino Bay and loved it! The food was absolutely delicious, service was fantastic, and we enjoyed the live singing while we were eating. Matt got the lasagna which I very much recommend and so did our waiter. I got the Rigatoni Bolognese which was delicious as well and the buratta is an awesome addition. Our appetizer was the mussels, which was a great portion as well as that broth was incredible, savory treat.
