Hands down my favorite place to eat. I celebrate most birthdays here and have had groups from 2-10 all dine together here. The owners are kind and wonderful people, the food is crazy good, and they’ve recently remodeled. (Admittedly I loved the vibe of it before, but it’s beautiful looking now) My “base meal” is usually: (table of 3-4) 1 Beef Pancake Roll per person 1 Crispy Fried Pork & Chive 2 potato salad 1 Pork Xiao Long Bao 1 Herbal Lamb Hot Pot 1 Order Green beans 1 Order Pork Belly W/BokChoy This is a great base of food to start adding on more things. Do yourself a big favor and check them out.

This is a hidden gem, buried inside the Great Wall shopping center but worth its own visit. Reasonably priced jiaozi as good or better than Din Tai Fun but much more approachable and without the long lines or price. Everything’s good and authentic but I’d especially recommend the lamb pan-fried dumplings and the salt and pepper shrimp.

I am so glad this restaurant is still open. I love their dumplings and I am so happy they have a few good vegetarian options. They also have excellent soup dumplings which is very hard to find outside of the overpriced places in Seattle. This place is a much more affordable options without compromising quality.

This place was absolutely delicious!!!! The best dumplings I have had in the greater Seattle area. In addition to the dumplings, their bao is out of this world: soft, fluffy, airy, warm. I also ordered their chicken vermicelli and it had great flavor and was a large serving. I left there so satisfied and can’t wait to visit again. The staff were very friendly and inviting. I appreciated that they gave space to eat without coming around every few minutes. The empty plates were taken as soon they were cleared, drinks filled, and check was brought without asking for it. Overall, perfect experience!

Mama Dough absolutely nailed it! If you haven’t tried Mama Dough yet, you’re missing out big time. The dumplings here are absolute perfection. Tender wrappers, juicy fillings, and bursting with flavor in every bite. The menu has a great variety, so there’s something for everyone, and everything we tried was spot on. The staff is super friendly and made us feel right at home. Whether you’re a dumpling newbie or a seasoned pro, Mama Dough is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Better than Din Tai Fung. Sorry, it’s the truth. Not that I don’t love DTF, but these guys know dumplings, and noodles, and everything in between! Any pan-fried dumpling dish is a MUST, and they also do green beans! And the staff is super nice. Everything is made in house and it’s always piping hot!

The food tastes good. I like the tomato egg soup and Vegetarian Xiao long bao. The noodle dish is a bit too greasy. They can't split checks FYI.

Considering only three people work here, I get consistent food and service. I really like their spicy chicken, we’ve tried all the fried rices, and usually get some soup. Stop giving businesses bad reviews because your delivery app took two hours. It’s not their fault.

I love Mama Dough! We came on Sunday as a party of 3 at 5:00 PM. We love the new design they have for their restaurant-it is bright, inviting and lovely! I love their soup dumplings, their chicken wonton soup, and green onion pancakes-my favorites and go to. We ordered all of those and new to us, the cold chicken salad on their appetizer list. So simple and so good-we took our chicken and wrapped them in the green onion pancakes! Cannot praise them enough. I can't wait to come back!

Food: 3/5 - Got 2 pork wonton noodle soup bowls - Good noodles and chicken broth - Very small wontons with maybe 1/2 teaspoon of meat filling. - Got 1 order pork wontons in spicy Sichuan sauce. Very tasty, but again, very small wontons. - Got a $20 bag of 50 frozen wontons just for convenience to make at home. With such small wontons, you only get 1/2 a freezer gallon bag full. Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 - Modernized, but basic and serviceable

Diving straight into the food since I'm at the character limit: N2 Spicy Braised Beef Noodle, Homemade Noodle ($12.99) - When this came out and I had a whiff of the broth, I was very concerned. While it had a bit of the herbal soup fragrance, the rest smelled like something burnt and acrid. At first I thought maybe the spicy peppers were unusually smoky, but when I tasted the broth, I could taste a hint of acrid burnt taste. Just a hint, not enough to overwhelm, but noticeable. Other than that, there's a bit of a fermented bean and herbal taste, with a spice level that hits the throat but isn't enough to hurt. The hand pulled noodles are indeed hand pulled, nice and chewy. I felt like they could use just a bit more consistency, since there was a large variation in size, and thus the noodles differed a bit in texture between strands. The dish also comes with a half hard boiled egg underneath all the noodles and beef. It's very well marinated, with a salty soy flavor that's quite nice. While most of the ingredients are good, that burnt taste really ruined the dish, especially because I wasn't sure if it was supposed to taste like that or not. (2/5) N4 Braised Pork Short Rib Noodle, Homemade Noodle ($12.99) - I found this dish to be a bit better than the beef noodle. The pork ribs, tender but not fall off the bone, rest in a very fragrant, herbal, white peppery and garlicky broth. The broth is filled with umami and and is quite nice to drink by itself. There's a sprig of bok choy, and again the hand pulled noodles and half egg. The major issue with this dish is the pork. While texturally good, the taste is a bit strange and very porky, like meat that's been sitting a while and is almost going bad. Again, very off putting, which kind of ruined the dish. (2/5) I revisited Mama Dough a couple of weeks later thanks to the article from 2019 in the Seattle Times stating that the XLBs rival those at Din Tai Fung. Maybe I just got the wrong dishes? C2 Pork Meat Xiao Long Bao ($11.99) - As soon as these came out, I was confused. These looked more like spheres rather than the traditional purse shape. In addition, it didn't look like the staff particularly care about presentation or service speed - there were several pieces sitting on their sides, they looked shrunken/dried out (seriously, look at my photo and tell me they don't look desiccated), and were completely lukewarm. That wasn't promising. Starting with the skins - they aren't papery and delicately thin, but also aren't thick and doughy. Good for a homemade version of this dish. The skins are a bit chewy and have a bit of a dry edge to the exterior, probably because they were sitting a while instead of being steamed fresh. The filling is plain bad. Firstly, there's no soup at all inside. Secondly, the pork itself is dense and dry, not tender and loose as it should be. Finally, the nail in the coffin - instead of a porky, aromatic taste, the filling doesn't taste right, like they used pork that's a day away from going bad. Maybe the XLBs were good 5 years ago when the Seattle Times article was written, but what I got was honestly terrible. I would eat frozen, machine made XLBs over these. (1/5) C5 Mama's House Bao with Pork, Pan Fried ($13.99) - I'm not sure if they make the bao in house or not, but it seemed like these were bought at the 99 Ranch next door and just steamed and fried to order. While frying, they add a cornstarch slurry skirt to add some additional oomph to the presentation. The bottoms are actually fried until a decent crisp is developed. The bun, for the most part, is soft and pillowy to a degree, but a good amount is quite soggy from the filling. The filling is not bad, kind of generic without much aromatics. The bao are a bit on the oily side, similar to a sheng jian bao, but that's to be expected from being pan fried. (3/5) J4 Pork Dumplings with Chives, Boiled ($11.99) - These dumplings are good and were by far the best thing I ate over my two visits. The skins are nice, slightly translucent, yet chewy. The filling has great flavor. They add a lot of garlic chive inside and the flavor mixes very well with the fatty pork. The salt level is appropriate and the filling is quite tender. The dish comes with smashed garlic cloves in soy sauce, but it isn't really needed given how flavorful the dumpling is. This is the only dish I would get again. (4/5) I really don't know what's going on at Mama Dough. The dumplings are good, but everything else I ate was either just okay, or plain bad. I feel like their pork supplier has some major issues, or perhaps they buy discount pork past the best by date. Whatever the case, a lot of the flavors here are off putting. I would not visit again. Overall food rating: 2.4/5 Bathrooms: Two individual rooms, one per gender behind the curtains to the side of the kitchen.

Super friendly staff, immediately greets you as you come in the door. Attentive too! The space is small but wasn't too crowded on a Saturday at 1pm. Food was good, comparable to Din Tai Fung (and better than Dough Zone imo). My mom didn't like the taste of the meat though. Really like the texture of their eggplant and beef pancake roll.

Service was amazing! Everyone was super kind and good came out as the orders were finished, so everything was nice and hot. The XLBs were hot and juicy, skin was thin but not too thick. Their fried rice was perfect! It wasn't under seasoned and not too salty, didn't need any fixings added unless you'd like to add chili oil (not spicy at all). I'd skip on the pig ears next time, but the string beans are a MUST. They were so good we finished it before the dumplings came out. Overall a great "hole in the wall" spot for lunch!

We've been eating here since this mom and pop shop opened up in 2015(?) They basically have the same menu as another famous Xioa Long Bao, but this place is way more affordable and local. Their food has been consistent since when they first opened. Their food is always amazing and service is prompt, but when it is busy, they always try their best to keep the food coming. We used to live in close proximity before and we would come here 1-2x a week. But now that we're further away, whenever in the area, we always stop in a get some great food. Give them a try and you'll love it, trust me ...you're welcome!

As good as my Canton mom's. I was heading for a different restaurant when my husband saw this one. It had a waiting list but it was short and quick to get seated. The food has a significant variety. From cold appetizers to xiaolongbao to braised pork belly to chow mein. We ordered it all. The cold chicken with spicy peanut sauce, the combo xiaolongbao of egg and chive or lamb dumplings, the green onion pancakes, braised pork belly, Chinese sausage chow mein, crispy chicken (which is salt and pepper chicken). We literally got everything we could possibly eat. And everything is literally delicious. Is your mom Chinese? Did she make Chinese food for you? Cause get ready for a blast from the past because mama isn't making these dishes in retirement! The location is small. Only about 14 tables. It's bright white inside and you can see who, I presume is Mama Dough herself, rolling dumplings at a counter in the front. If you're looking for good, REAL authentic Chinese food, then you definitely need to come here.

Finally got to try this highly rated dumpling and noodle shop, tucked away in an asian supermarket in Kent. If you love Xiao Long Bao (XLB), I highly recommend stopping by here. Same or better quality as a "name brand" shop like Din Tai Fung, but much more cost effective! Same goes for the other dishes such as noodle soups and fried rice , the danger is that you order too much and end up with a belly ache later on!

This is a wonderful little spot with homemade noodles. I absolutely love their beef and noodles with the homemade noodles. (You can actually watch them being made.) The dim sum is also very good and the service is excellent here .

The service from Mama Dough is really inviting and friendly! The restaurant has lots of seating available and the food came out really fast! I would say everything came out in 15 minutes! We ordered the pork XLB, which I thought had good flavor but could have more soup inside. We also order the braised pork belly and the spicy wontons I thought it could use more seasoning, it was kind of bland and unfortunately I wouldn't order this again. The pan fried dumplings though were really yummy and crispy! Lastly, we ordered the spicy intestines! I thought the idea of the dish was great, but it wasn't very spicy at all, which I was slightly disappointed about. Overall, I wouldn't really see myself coming back here specifically for anything but still had a good experience here!

It has been three+ years since I wrote the initial limited review, so it is time for an update. Today, we had a full sit-down meal eating much more food that two people should consume. Hehehe. Located inside the Great Wall Mall, Mama's Dough is somewhat like a DTF or DZ except with more dishes. The food overall was very good with one hiccup. Not all dishes are visually as appealing as DTF or DZ, but that is not as important to us. The prices are very reasonable. I am rounding up the overall rating because of their prices. For $61 before tip, we stuffed ourselves silly with five dishes and brought home a full quart size container of leftover soup. Yum! The service was swift and courteous. We didn't know they close earlier on Sundays and unknowingly stayed past closing time. Sorry! Their décor is basic. The tables aren't too close together, which is always appreciated. The Food: Fish with cabbage soup (aka sauerkraut fish and tofu), $15.50 - 5 Stars DELICIOUS with a hint of enjoyable spiciness that hubby can handle, this soup is rapidly becoming our favorite Chinese soup. They keep theirs warn with a little light under the pot. This is a must order! Braised Beef Noodle Soup, $12.99 - 4.5 Stars Hubby said the beef is very tender, the broth is tasty, not too salty. The noodles have three choices - handmade (thicker), egg noodle (Cantonese style), or rice vermicelli. Unless you hate thick noodles, I highly recommend the handmade option. You can taste the freshness of these house-made noodles. Braised Beef Pancake Roll, $7.50 - 4.5 Stars The wrap is a freshly made scallion pancake, which is well seared. The inside is tender braised beef. The wrap has similar treatment to Peking duck with hoisin sauce and shredded scallions. Excellent combination. Tianjin Style Chive and Egg Pancake, $7.75 - 5 Stars I did not realize I had ordered this previously and gave specific feedback on how I like it. Did they actually read it?? I don't know, but they changed it to what I described as the BETTER method. While it visually doesn't look as refined as DTF or DZ, taste waste, it is better. I can taste the home-cooked quality. Pan-seared just right, not too burnt, these are well stuffed with coarsely cut chives, egg, and vermicelli. The wrap is thin-enough to not overpower the filling. Thumbs up! Vegetarian XLB, $11.99 - 3.5 Stars Hubby teased that these are soup dumplings without the soup. He is right. They are wrinkly and shriveled up. They are tiny also, about the diameter of a quarter. I don't think I can't call these XLB with any sincerity. These veggie dumplings visually look meh, but they tasted pretty good. No, I didn't send these back. They taste ok enough.

It's been a while since I've dine in here but since their recent renovations, the restaurant is much brighter and more spacious. My partner and I were seated immediately upon entering. We got our usual pan fried dumplings and their hand pulled beef noodle soup. Overall, the food tasted pretty good but better than before. The beef noodle soup was the highlight of our meal. The broth was very flavorful and noodles were bouncy as well. Definitely will order again when dining in.

The soup dumplings cannot be described well enough to tell how delicious they are! Think superb, then go beyond that. And the eggplant dish (which can be ordered non-spicy) is scrumptious. I would go back just for that. But then why would I not get the soup dumplings, too?! Staff is so very nice and helpful.

They charged me twice for a lunch and tried to convince me otherwise that the actual problem was my debit card and their machine actually declined the transaction. False I called my bank and showed them on the spot that there had been two consecutive transactions and were not willing to refund me. The following business day, as transactions cleared, they were not willing to offer a lunch or a discount after showing the ledger of my bank account. Since you're not willing to put a report them to BBB and the county sheriff for fraud. It's not the first time they tried to pull this kind of stunts on regular customers.

Stopped by to try the Xiao Long Bao, soup dumplings from Mama Dough. The dumplings have a paper thin delicate wrapper, around a generous portion of filling. There were 10 XLB, filled with soup and meat. The pan fried dumplings were also good, and come in crispy plate of 12. Fried rice portions were also good, a large plate for sharing. Service was friendly and fast, despite the restaurant being quite busy. Overall, a great place to stop by for dumplings!

I've ordered pork buns, chilli oil noodle and eggplant dish. The eggplant dish was a bit too sweet for my liking and the bun was lacking in seasoning - the dough itself was nice and fluffy. I loved the flavor and texture of the chilli oil noodle, but I feel like I didn't really get the full experience because I ordered take out and that might affected the food. I would love to visit the restaurant someday!

My friend and I wanted to give this a try after visiting 99 Ranch. There were many restaurants in this building but we were intrigued by the news article about Mana Dough and it had a clean rating. We ordered the beef homemade noodle soup and the egg and tomato noodle soup. Both were tasty and I liked how they weren't excessively salty. The service was very friendly too. Price was reasonable as well.

My bf really likes XLBs, so even though there are mixed reviews on here, I thought I'd let him come try it out and see for himself, so we chose this place to meet my friend for lunch. We walked in and it felt pretty warm inside, like the AC wasn't working or something. But it got warmer and warmer, but pretty soon I was sweating while I was eating. I couldn't enjoy eating as much because I was hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable; I even had to put my hair up. We ordered a bunch of plates to share, and there wasn't a single dish that wow-ed me. We got the: *Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao, Pork Xiao Long Bao, and the Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao: I didn't seem to taste any soup in them, they tasted pretty dry. I liked the Spicy Pork ones the best. *Shrimp Wonton in Spicy Sauce: It didn't have much flavor. I get this dish whenever they have it at restaurants, and this one here may be the least tastiest. *Green Onion Pancakes: This was decent, but I've had better. *Pan Fried Seafood Dumplings: These were good. *House Special Chow Mein with handmade noodles (+ $2): This was a bit boring; it barely had any flavor or meat, and maybe would've tasted better with the regular chow mein egg noodles. *Pork Intestines with Spicy Peppers: This had the most flavor of all the dishes we ordered. But wish the intestines were cooked a bit crispier. *Spicy Chicken: it didn't have enough seasoning, not enough flavor. Definitely had better. *Red Oil Spilled Spicy Noodles: This was just noodles in chili oil and had the most flavor of all the foods. Probably the dish I liked most out of all the dishes we ordered. Service was friendly. It was busy, and it showed that they were busy; like, if you were slow at ordering or thinking too long, you can tell they were trying to not be impatient even though the waiter then started tapping his pen on his notepad. Service was still good though. Well, at least I can check this place off my list now.

I'm really loving this spot! The food's delicious, and the prices are very reasonable, especially for freshly handmade xiaolongbao. My favorite here has to be the Tianjin-style chive & egg pancake; it's like a taste of home! Another favorite is the stir-fry beef slice pancake. Such a pleasant surprise to find a hometown favorite here! And it tastes very good! Now, onto the Xiaolongbao--fantastic and freshly made, with a fair price! We also tried the shrimp wonton in spicy sauce, which was tasty, though I was hoping for a bit more spice. It's not exactly how I normally like my wonton in spicy sauce, but the wontons themselves were very good. The restaurant is cozy, especially with the open kitchen where you can watch them make dumplings. The staff is friendly and quick to serve. Whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, this place hits the spot!

Solid 4.5... it's exactly what you will expect to hit the spot. Let's discuss where it is... it's in the "Great Wall Mall" which is in Renton. It's in the same complex as 99 Ranch. It's on the south wing of the complex; and you can't miss the large sign above the door. Inside, is your cozy Asian mall restaurant. Tables, chairs, couple TVs, and a front counter which on a lucky day... you can see them making the dumplings and everything else they serve by hand. The food, well, if you have concerns, the menu is posted on the outside window of the shop, plenty of pictures if you are sure what a menu item is before going in. Once you are in, expect prompt service, they are here to serve you! Got a kiddo? They have plastic plates/bowls for you. That's a serious plus. The food? We got soup dumplings, boiled dumplings, green onion pancake, and wontons in a spicy sauce. Let's say, all was tasty, only thing which would have made things better... more spicy sauce in the wontons, the soup dumplings were solid, filled nicely. Same with the boiled dumplings, filing was on points. (You can get these pan fried too!) Now if wasn't so far away from where we lived, we might come here in a regular basis, This is not DTF, nothing is DTF, but if you just want t solid meal, good service, just say hello to Mama Dough.

This was one of the most disgusting meals I've ever had. We ordered through Uber Eats because they had good reviews (4.8 stars). The food not only looked nothing like the photos online, but it tasted absolutely horrendous. The texture was disgusting, the flavor was so bizarre, and the quality was the worst. No amount of chili oil could save this meal. Here's what we ordered: - Braised Pork Belly: 90% of each piece was pure fat. The photos of this are the remaining fat chunks - Fried Rice: Wasn't fried, at all. Majority was undercooked and flavorless with cold, wet eggs - Mama's House Special Boa with Pork: Bland, tasteless, disgusting texture - Pork Meat Xiao Long Bao: The bottoms were all broken, which exposed disgusting flavorless pink meatballs. Immediate tummy cramps followed the few bites I could muster. I never write reviews, but I really need anyone who is thinking about ordering from or eating at this "restaurant" to really know what to expect. No idea how there are any good reviews for this place.

Mama Dough! You're doughy hand pulled noodle is a game changer! Loving all the noodles, it's the perfect texture of chewiness! I would have skipped out on all the other dumplings if I knew the noodles were this good! Soup was so tasty too, but could have been just a tad bit more pipping hot! Make me work for those delicious tender chews of those noodles! Well done! I love the large menu. Will definitely be back to try more items out! And to get my hands on some more noodles!

I already knew it was going to be good because a friend of a friend had a coworker whose husband is a chef and loves this place, and talked about it when doing an icebreaker exercise at work! Lol. With an endorsement like that, we couldn't not try Mama Dough right? So off we went on a Saturday morning to brunch on pickled cucumbers, pork xiao long bao, spicy pork xiao long bao (not very spicy), pork and chive pan fried dumplings, and short rib noodle soup. Each basket of dumplings had about 8 to 10 pieces, and the noodle soup would have been quite filling for 1 person. Everything we had was delicious, but special mention has to go to the xiao long bao which were perfectly bite sized, delicately thin-skinned, and packed with meat and soup that was not too greasy or "porky". The pan fried dumplings had an impressive lace top that was perfectly crispy and each dumpling was also well balanced in flavor and filling-to-dough ratio. The short rib noodle soup was light and white peppery - something probably quite nostalgic if you grew up in a Cantonese home. Extra credit goes to the customer service we received from all the staff who served us! They were attentive to the pace of the meal and the tea pot.

I only ever come here to order their beef braised noodles soup with their homemade hand pulled noodles. Time to time I'll order the green onion pancakes and, braised beef rolls(braised beef rolled in their green onion pancake). The broth has a deep beef flavor along with the chewy wide hand pulled noodles is a combination that can't be beat. They also offer egg noodles for the soups. The service is quick and they accept credit cards. It's inside 99 Ranch and parking can get busy on weekends.

This was everything I wanted it to be. Food off the charts delicious. Staff was friendly and service was fast. I probably ordered too much for one person but it was really good. I'd highly recommend Mama Dough to anyone looking for an authentic and cultural immersion experience.

Whenever I am in the neighborhood, my go to place for my one and only one favorite lamb noodle soup !!!

Friendly mom and pop tucked away in the Great Wall plaza serving XLBs. Staff was attentive and warm and food came out quick. We ordered: -Braised beef pancake rolls: these were good and flavorful. The pancake was crunchy and the beef well marinated. Paired well with green onion. Just wish it came in larger portions -Pork XLB: Solid! Skin was thin and none of it punctured when picked up via chopsticks. Eat them while they're hot because once they cool the soup within the dumplings kind of get soaked up by the meat/skin making them less "soupy" -Braised beef handmade noodles: it's what you would expect. Noodles a bit on the soft side -Chinese sausage chow main: Same as above. Noodles on the soft/mushy side and nothing special Worth a try if in the area doing some grocery shopping.

This place is a MUST go. It's tucked away and hidden in this shopping mall, but it's so worth going inside and finding it. All of their food that we got was amazing. Favorite item might be the fried rice with chinese sausage, you can't get this just anywhere. The spicy wontons are a must, they had a hint of cinnamon taste to them, but I actually really enjoyed that flavor. It was different and I loved it. Their dumplings in general, you can't go wrong with, and the custard bao were perfectly small and gave you just a hint of a sweet treat. They were super friendly and even as we were leaving the people behind the counter were all waving at us. The only thing that I wish was that they had sheets where you filled it out and ordered it, I always prefer that when it comes to any type of dimsum place because it makes it easy to visualize what you're actually getting and how much of everything. But this place is SO good, really authentic and just one of those businesses everyone should support and keep alive.

Enjoyed having lunch here last Saturday in celebrating my dad's birthday with the weekend after finishing our time at Carpinito Brother's Pumpkin Patch and Farm which was full of fun. Service was great they helped us refill our hot tea since we all want to stay warm by drinking warm beverages. The inside looks very cozy and family style environment feel but everyone is enjoying themselves at their tables. Settling in, we ordered our dishes in family serving size plates and got pan fried dumplings, spicy eggplant, chicken fried rice, and beef stir fried noodles. It was so tender, umami, flavorful, spicy, also full of crispy goodness. My family and I will definitely come back to eat here again next time. Thank you for wonderful food portions and variety selections.

This place is located in the large 99 Ranch Market full of businesses and the grocery store like I've come to expect from this cool chain. Once you enter the building this is one of the first spots on the right. The people working here are so sweet and deeply attentive, inviting you in like family and even offering to let me try other dishes I didn't order that they had on another table for their family to eat. As for the food I just got the cucumber salad, tea, XLB pork dumplings and XLB spicy pork dumplings. The pork XLB was ok and the spicy pork was definitely better. It sounded like I should have got the boiled dumplings which I'm finding taste much better than a lot of place's XLB. The cucumber salad which is a favorite dish of mine was just very unbalanced with an overpowering sour and sweetness and a pruney skin. I got to try the seafood pan-fried dumplings which had a cool spider-weby fried dough layer but ultimately still preferred the spicy pork.

A lot of places in the area have similar menu items (Dough Zone, DTF, Supreme Dumplings, etc.) but this place comes out on top. I recommend the XLB, scallion pancakes, pan-fried pork/leek dumplings, chili oil wontons, and beef noodle soup -- taste, texture are all perfectly authentic without being too heavy. Service wise, they know what they're doing! Waiter is attentive, food comes out super quickly, and for a nice, family business touch, who I guess to be "mama dough" will sometimes be folding dumplings at the counter. So homey!

The dumplings 饺子 is really authentic ，learned a lot about dumplings when chatting with the workers there while they are making fresh dumplings.

We went on a Saturday around 7pm. It was very busy. We got seated but didn't get menus but other tables got them. After waiting for a while I just went to grab it myself and a booster seat; no biggie... after a while our server came and service was good after that. It was very hot and stuffy inside; poor ventilation as there was a lot of people and no (can open) windows or fan. Food was ok but plates everything is very small so keep that in mind when ordering On the menu it said "crispy chicken" but when it came, to our surprise!!! It was super spicy but it wasn't listed as spicy on the menu The handmade noodle was ok not amazing. The pork soup noodle was very oily like you can taste and feel the oil in the broth. The braised beef noodle broth was ok- only 3 pc of beef, one was tough. The fried dumpling is like soup dumpling but fried.. not bad but not great... greasy The braised pork was good, my son very enjoyed it but it was a very small plate. The beef pancake roll is basically a green onion pancake with a little beef and cilantro in it for $12... you can go to 99 ranch and buy a big pack of green onion pancake for $4 it was just really greasy with some tough beef strips inside... good concept but wasn't made well We used to come here all the time pre-pandemic... sometimes a few times a month but we stopped going cause our last experience wasn't good (food quality declined). Was super excited to give it another try ... but once again disappointed. Probably wont come back again...

Dine in and takeout is really seamless! There is a mix of Cantonese and not Cantonese items here and comparatively cheap. As in, I don't think there's as many places that provide these moderate servings for the price. When we went for their Cantonese food items, it was pretty good and the cramped restaurant space miraculously was still kid navigatable, which was a plus for us. There's a cozy, bustling energy inside and is great for laid-back get-togethers. Good service and the staff made sure to check on us and do a speedy checkout. This time we got the spicy beef noodle soup and pork xiaolongbao to go. The xiaolongbao's skin was a bit thicker and the broth and meat tasted really clear and just slightly seasoned. It's so good to use as a complement for densely flavored dishes. The spicy beef noodle soup has more of a kick than actual spiciness. The hand torn noodles are soft without being goopy and the broth is rich while still making room for other flavor profiles like the veggies and hard boiled egg. That said, I did find an insect that was imprinted on one of the xiaolongbaos, which was a surprise! It may have gotten smushed while the chef was rolling out the dough. Wasn't expecting another source of protein on them, so maybe keep an eye out for any other insects waiting to be memorialized.

Stopped in for a solo quick bite to eat. Was in the mood for some pork chive dumplings and beef noodle soup. Restaurant was busy which is always a great sign that the food is sought after and loved. Hot tea is provided upon seating. My dumplings were a bit cold, which was disappointing but still delicious nonetheless. The beef noodle soup was perfect in flavor and seasoning. Noodles were just the perfect texture in chewiness and the chunks of beef with cartilage in tact is just what you want from this dish. Will definitely be back to try the fried dumplings again.

Move over Din Tai Fung, there's a new XLB in town. The way I didn't want to write this review just so I could gatekeep this place to my self (bwahaha). This is my go to dumpling place! So you're in Renton and you want to impress your crush: grab coffee at Candor, head across the street to IKEA and plan the perfect home together, then drive up the road to 99 Ranch and get dumplings. Order the pan fried dumplings, XLB, wonton in Szechuan sauce, garlic broccoli, and the braised beef noodle soup. Any of the meat or veggie options are great, can't go wrong. The sweetest staff, and you can see them making the dumplings right in front of you. Once, they gave me a stuffed animal for Chinese New Year. Everything tastes like a hug (and for the quarter of the price of DTF). Located in the 99 Ranch (Great Wall) food court in Renton. Private parking lot. Indoor seating and takeout. Delicious xiao long bao, noodles, buns, and more! We were very happy to have decided to check this restaurant out while shopping in the Great Wall plaza. Their service is quick and unassuming. You can see them prepare the buns/dumplings/etc right behind the counter. Food came out quickly, hot and fresh, and perfectly done. Really can't ask for more than that!

Weve been coming to mama dough for a few yrs now. This place doesn't disappoint especially if you like home made dumplings and noodle. The xia long bao is pretty damn tasty. So is the green onion pancakes. We also love the chinese sausage fried rice along with the crispy pepper shrimp. Definitely recommend it But our favorite by far is the beef noodle soup. Its absolutely a must have if you come here Prices are affordable, and overall very great service

Ordered takeout and I'm thinking eating in-restaurant would have been a better option as the food didn't hold up as leftovers that well. We ordered the chicken chow mein (flat noodle), spicy wontons, pan fried pork dumplings, green beans, and green onion pancakes. We don't live that far away but by the time everything arrived it was all pretty soggy. I reheated the pancake on the stove which crisped it back up and we liked the noodles but everything else was just alright - not sure we would reorder as takeout. Considering that we ordered a good amount of food it just didn't hold up to expectation from when we have previously eaten in restaurant.

I wanted to really really like this place after reading the reviews for this place, but it was a little underwhelming. I ordered the pork soup dumplings and the beef noodle soup. I'd say their dough that they use is a bit on the thicker side and felt it was a little bit too chewy. The hand pulled noodles hit the spot and the brother was ok on flavor but their beef wasn't very tender. Those soup came with one small bok choy. Overall, 3/5

Goodness, the beef noodle soup (hand pulled noodles) was one of the best I've had in a while. I love that the beef chunks didn't have too much fat on them like other places but were still very tender. The noodles were wonderful as was the broth. Also, we had the stir fried spicy eggplant which really surprised me. I'm not usually a fan of eggplant, but this came out nice and crispy, with the skin caramelized perfectly. It wasn't too spicy and had a bit of sweetness which paired well with the more savory beef noodle soup. Prices were reasonable and service was quick and friendly.

Good, but I'm not sure I was quite impressed enough for five stars. They put up a newspaper review of their soup dumplings, but you should probably get the house bao zi, especially the pork bao zi. That little bit of fried texture does a lot to bring out the umami. My personal preference is for to be slightly more fried even. Such a great comfort food. I did feel like it was a bit light on the broth inside. Also, the meat was....maybe a bit dense and lean? Not entirely certain. It was certainly doughy, but the dough itself was pretty much perfect. Egg and chives bao zi - Again, the bun is fantastic, but it doesn't have the umami of the pork. I'm not sure what they could do to give this more flavor. Sour fish soup - Very sour, but otherwise I feel like it's just a little bit bland. Still great as an appetizer. Beef pancake - Also good, but......I don't know. Needs a bit more of something to bring out the umami.

We've been here a few times tried a number of items on their menu and found it's really hit-or-miss. - Braised beef pancake rolls - Miss but not the worst - Spicy braised pig ear - Hit! Yum! - Beef noodle soup - Slight miss. - Lamb noodle soup - HIT!! Super hit!! I now order this every time. - Pork pan-fried buns - Huge miss. This one surprised me. The dough was good, but there seemed to be no flavor whatsoever. The filling was also quick packed together and it felt like a flavorless hockey puck of meat and veg. Will try xiao long bao next time... along with the amazing lamb noodles of course. Thanks Mama!

Banging! Wonton egg soup with fat noodles, yeah. Green opinion pancake.and dumplings. Pork and shrimp are good. Try pan fried items too, it's not really fried.

saw the place while shopping in the center. So had to try it. Ambience was nice for a Chinese restaurant and the staffed were very friendly. You get to see in the kitchen and see them making the soup dumpling. we order the Pork Soup Dumpling that was hand made. Unfortunately the flavor was ok and the meat was a little hard. I think they should put more fat in to it and add some veg too. But there is soup in it so be careful when you get it. But then the dish got COLD too fast. Also we order the Pork Bum it came in 6 pack that was pretty good. Wish it had more bamboo in it so it will taste better. Green onion pancake was not so good. Some part are BURNED and some part are not COOKED and it came out so OILY. Probably will not be back.

Such a great place! Food is perfect every time and I recommend getting their Pork Long Bao frozen to go. The owners are kind and very were very sweet with my child.

The food was amazing!!! We were in town for a few days and came here three times! Everything we had was great and the service was very fast.

Okay, I hardly write Yelp reviews, but I think this is warranted given the fact that my little family and I have come to this place for the past 7 plus years. This place, in my opinion, makes the best pork xiao long baos. I think it tastes better than Din Tai Fung and Dough Zone. It's juicy and always plump! They also have other tasty options such as their Spicy Pork Wontons (more sweet than spicy), House Special Fried Rice, Salt and Pepper Squid, and their Gyoza is also yummy as well. Everyone I've taken here has always said great things about this place, and it's never a disappointment. The staff here is great and has treated us like their own. They even got my daughter a small birthday gift when she wanted to come here for her birthday last year! All in all, if you want good dumplings and want to support a family owned business, this is the place to be!

Our group of 5 including 2 kids were looking for a quick lunch. We were seated promptly. Ordered the Braised Beef Pancake Rolls, Pork Meat Xiao Long Bao, soup Dumplings and crispy chicken. Everything was DELICIOUS!! A word of caution: The crispy chicken was not marked with a pepper but it's very spicy. The kids liked watching them make the handmade noodles.
