Came for dinner as a group of 4 and had an excellent meal. The restaurant is nicely decorated, full of light with a Mediterranean feel. They have a good amount of staff, it just took awhile to get our drinks and to get the ice we requested, but very minor.
The food here is the star. We ordered the spiced beef hummus, cigars, carrots, falafel, arayes, salmon skewers, crispy latke, lamb tagine, short rib and spicy cod. While everything was tasty, the favorites were the arayes, the latke, the spicy cod and the short rib. The rainbow carrots were not far behind. The arayes were absolutely delicious (similar to a middle eastern burger, but juicier and more flavorful). 4 come in an order and I could have eaten all four myself. The latke was shockingly good and I am no stranger to good latkes. The spicy cod was incredible, I loved the light fish paired with the fresh roasted tomatoes and the level of spice was perfect. The short rib was unbelievably good, tender, flavorful (slightly sweet, savory) and is up there with some of the best short rib I have eaten. The mashed sweet potatoes the short rib came with were a bit spicy for those who are spice sensitive.
The spiced beef hummus was good, but we have had better hummus elsewhere and I would not necessarily feel the need to order it again, same goes for the cigars. The falafel were tasty and I would recommend them. The salmon skewer was good, the rice it comes with is great, but I would try the beef or shrimp next time as I was not wowed by the salmon (though it was cooked perfectly). The lamb tagine was alright, I was underwhelmed by it and would not recommend it given all of the other fabulous dishes here. Portion wise, we probably could have done without the tagine as we were very full by the end of the meal. The prices are reasonable for the neighborhood and serving sizes.
A really fantastic restaurant that we will definitely be going back to regularly!
