I had dinner here on a Monday around 5pm. I sat on the large patio, which is counter service. You order at the counter, then sit wherever you want and they bring your food to you. I had the spaghetti bolognese. It was undercooked. The carrots were crunchy as were the onions. It was also very sweet, as if sugar was added. I had a Sangiovese which was delicious. My spaghetti and wine came to $34 before tip. I’ve heard the pizza is really good though, so if I return I’d try the pizza.

Came in on a Saturday night in February and was able to easily get a table for a party of 4. Staff was so welcoming and sweet. They had fire heaters as well as heaters under the terrace. The wine was amazing and the food was top notch. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The gnocchi was so fresh and delightful. Pizza also great. Highly recommend stopping in!

Great vibe and atmosphere, acoustic band was good! Appetizers and pizza are good. Pastrami sandwich was dry 🫣 Parking is limited but they have a shuttle services. Wine selections are good 👍

Google
A beautiful day with my beautiful daughter Heather We were served at the order station by a cordial respectful and educated server Christian Top notch young man His coworker Kiley made sure that everything was good for us and checked with us to make sure we were having the experience we wanted NO pressure Kiley is a true professional imo We had the r & r pizza with extra mushrooms and sausage It’s not their favorite to make because the toppings are too heavy for the thin crust They agreed today 😎 It was a 9.8 today in both of our opinions Heather thinks it might be her best pizza ever We both enjoyed the many fine wines responsibly The entire staff at Mama Rosa’s should be proud that they turned a misting overcast day into one of the best days my daughter and I have spent in many many years Thank you

Google
This our favorite winery in the area! Not only is the wine excellent but the food is great. The patio has gorgeous views and is heated in the cooler temps. They have beer and the games on TV. I have been spending Friday afternoons working from here.

Google
Phenomenal views and atmosphere on the patio with live music i believe on weekends We got the pepperoni pizza, truffle pizza, and muffuletta as well as the Chardonnay and Lyric Rose. I believe it came out to around ~$110 before tax/tip so decently pricy, especially the muffuletta which I believe was around $30. The truffle pizza - 9.5 a truly phenomenal pizza using European flour. For my gluten free person it caused minimal bloating and no other issues which has never happened stateside before. The sausage is definitely understated by the truffle but it was still an absolutely banging pie with a great crust The pepperoni pizza: 7.1 a good pie, but doesn’t really compare to the white pie and I love me sauce on a pie Muffuletta: 6.9 it’s a good sandwich, but definitely ham heavy over salami and mortadella, just not ideal at the $30 price point The Chardonnay was definitely better than the rose to me, but let’s be real it’s still Temecula wine no matter how you cut it, it will never compare to France Italy chile etc. or even napa. When we come back it’ll be for the atmosphere, great service, and truffle pizza. I’ve also got my eyes on the wings, calamari, and pastas. MTF.

Great food. Had the soup and pizza. Beautiful views also. It’s a sit down place but need to get up to order versus full table service. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Google
Great place. Beautiful view. All outdoor seating. We visited this place on a Saturday. We were seated pretty quickly. You can make a reservation online. As well as view their menu. There was a musician playing a variety of upbeat and relaxing music. Loved it. To order food and drinks, you have to walk up to the counter/bar... and pay as you go. They give you a number and take out the food to your table when ready. It seemed organized. The food was delicious and definitely fresh. I really enjoyed the pizza, salad, and charcuterie board. Easy breezy. The staff was friendly and helpful. This winery as a whole is a yes for me.

Yelp
Food was great, manager was amazing, music and location absolutely wonderful! Female Bartender with tattoos and blonde hair at ends was miserable and wrecked our anniversary, Put in all wrong orders putzing around starving for attention and so rude to any female trying to order with their spouses. When explained was the wrong order got upset towards the wife and looked to husband for help, truly brought the place from a 5 to a zero. Lack of emotional intelligence or any type of class in such a beautiful place. Get rid of her and the place would be 5 stars. Thank goodness for the male bartender to save the day and be grounded and care about the customers and not attention. As a local was pretty bummed and the food was good. Definitely won't come back.

Yelp
What a beautiful spot out in the vineyards! I loveeeed sitting out on the patio and I definitely recommend getting there early or getting a reservation, it got busy pretty quickly! The only strange thing was that we had to order at the counter and I felt that really interrupted the flow of being at a vineyard and sitting and chatting. I certainly didn't enjoy getting up and waiting in line for people to order food when I only needed/wanted a glass of wine. Other than that, everyone was really kind and the food was delish!

Yelp
Came here on a Monday around 11am. Plenty of seating you order at the counter. Service was friendly. Water cup station. We got the tre salame pizza it was okay on the thinner side. And the beef ravioli with a spicy sauce it was really good the sauce. For price to portion it is expensive. Only the ravioli was worth it and it was small portion. All in all good for a one time try.

Yelp
I highly recommend the bruschetta 10/10 and the pizza was pretty good too. Great drinks as well of course, I like that they had beer options as well. Service was fast and friendly. Very nice outdoor seating too.

Yelp
I came here with a party of 8 for lunch. I get that parties are automatically charged a gratuity, however, this restaurant is not full service. You order and pay (BEFORE you're even served) at the counter, and then your food is delivered to you. I still can't wrap my head around that. When the weather is perfect, the outdoor seating is a great place to enjoy the view and fresh air. The taste and portion of food was satisfactory, but well presented. In my opinion, this is a great place for a quick and light lunch, but not a place to celebrate with larger parties.

Yelp
Got a little hungry during wine tasting and decided to try some of their food. The serving size was perfect for the pasta and it complimented the red wine I had very well. It was very flavorful and prepared fairly quickly.

Yelp
Do not make the mistake (like we did) of thinking that this restaurant is in any way full service, romantic, special, or a place you should visit. After making a reservation in advance using a credit card to hold it (which initself implies something worth reserving), you have to stand in line to order at the counter (similar to any fast food restaurant on the side of the freeway). Then you get to stand in line again to order anything else. Then you get to be told they are out or spaghetti, at an Italian restaurant, at 6 PM on a Saturday night. The staff is ambivalent. The food is mediocre. This place is just sad. Don't bother.
google avatar

Yelp
It was fine. On a scale of one to Olive Garden, it was slightly less than Olive Garden. We had 8 in our party and everyone was underwhelmed.

Yelp
Good food perfect location! When we entered the vineyard property, it immediately took us to a time we were in italy! It was such a beautiful experience weve had at mama rosas.pizza crust was perfection. Bruschetta was divine!

Yelp
Food was good. But Service is not good. It took so long for get to food and it took about 30 min. We came here with our service dog. We had to filled out the paperwork for our dog. This was first time for me to fill out paperwork. I felt really uncomfortable. maybe I'm from different country. I don't know . If you have service dogs, I really don't recommend this place.

Yelp
Everything was awesome !! Great place great food !! Great view !! And the staff was very nice and helpful!! I will go again any chance I get !

Yelp
We chose to eat at this restaurant since we had a wine tasting appointment inside. This is the restaurant that is located outside. It was difficult and awkward to order if you've never been. Apparently you walk up to the counter and place your order and no waiter comes to your table, so keep that in mind. We were sitting down with our menus for around 20 minutes until we figured it out so it made for a bit of a rocky start. The food did come out fast once we placed our order and they do allow for opening your own bottle of wine if you purchase one inside or bring your own bottle. Ample seating outside and they also had live music!

Yelp
First time there for the food and wine. Temecula was going through a heat wave but worry not , the restaurant has a great misty system. We ordered the fries ( bleh), bruschetta ( excellent), meatball spaghetti ( so good) and the spicy meatball pizza(heavenly good). Service was okay and understandably it was a very busy Sunday. The view is so beautiful. We will be back.

Yelp
Jaime is the consummate professional! From his decades at Bluewater Grill and the restaurant before it, his warm hospitality is the star of the show at Mama Rosa's. His love of wine and knowledge is next level, almost better than a sommelier! Food has improved drastically since he took over. Can't wait to see him and his team again.

Yelp
Mama Rosa serves some tasty Italian faire and is located at the Robert Renzoni Winery. Most Lunch items are in the $18 to $22 range (see Menu) and will not bust a budget. Same is true of the wine selections, which are $10 to $15 for a six ounce pour. Mama Rosa's isn't fancy, but has great winery views and tasty food (see photos). You order up at the bar, your Menu has a number on it and the cashier will ask for your location. When your food is ready, a server will bring it to your table. Nice. Expect to $35 or so each, including one glass of wine. PS, if you join Renzoni's Wine Club there's a discount on your Meal.

Yelp
All so yummy with a beautiful view! We loved the wines so much, my sister signed up for the Wine club. If you are to do that, you get a glass on each visit up to 8 times a month (with her package), which makes sense to do, THEN go eat on the patio with that glass. We learned after we already ate lunch and ordered drinks.. My favorite was the meatball appetizer, all so flavorful! Although I liked the Gorgonzola on the gnocchi I really liked adding some of the red sauce from the meatballs in with the gnocchi. The view was beautiful, it was chilly so they had heaters on outside to stay comfortable. They had Italian music to set the scene. I recommend!

Yelp
The food has been amazing and great service and views. Misters has helped with the heat as well

Yelp
This is my go to place to eat when I'm in Temecula I get the pizza and the sandwich always hit the spot and enhances my wine experience. The view is really nice the live music just makes a fun spot.

Yelp
Trash place. 98 degrees out today and we asked if we could be seated in the shade and they said it was "members only". I asked someone that got seated in the shade if they had a membership and they said no. We are an all Asian party. Will not be spending another dime here. Food took 1 hour to come out and we weren't allowed refunds. Don't come here....

Yelp
The hubs and I wanted to eat before we started a day off wine tasting. We grabbed a reservation (highly recommend) Altho our Friday lunchtime visit wasn't crowded- like it is on a weekend. The scenery is spectacular and Mother Nature didn't disappoint. It is a fast casual place where you place and pay for your order, then a server brings your order. We started by splitting a chicken Caesar salad ($25). It was large enough for us to have 2 servings each. Adding to the fresh, tasty salad we had a tre salami pizza. Took 1/2 home. If you like thin crust, well cooked, flavorful pizza, I highly recommend this fan favorite. There was no way to time our order, so salad and pizza arrived almost simultaneously (we like eating at a slower pace with salad first). Complimenting my husbands meal was a glass of Concerto (that he had tasted earlier in the tasting room before lunch). If you can make it work, enjoy tasting at Renzoni and then enjoy the outdoor patio dining of this neighborhood gem. $75 for lunch is a bit pricey, (hence the loss of 1 star, but the higher prices could reflect the impact of Covid) but I'd rather spend it here for fresh, homemade food than for the concession food inside Honda Center at a Ducks game. Will we come back? You bet!

Sauny T.

Yelp
Audrey the hostess made it happen for us! Thank you - after waiting for a table in a busy holiday she got us one of the best seats in the house!

Yelp
I absolutely loved eating here, especially on Saturday when they had live music playing outside. Definitely make reservations in advance. They were full on a Saturday. The outdoor seating was perfect and very spacious. Keep in mind that they are not dog friendly. Our waiter was great and friendly. All the staff were so helpful too. I really loved their gluten free pizza! It's rare to find a flavorful gluten free pizza so this restaurant hit the spot. Their salads are amazing too!! Such a great portion and perfect to share and pair with your pizza. I love their white wines here as well. Very smooth and refreshing. My favorite is the 2019 Vermentino. Thanks again for the great service, food and of course wine!! And amazing views out here!! You won't regret making a visit!

Yelp
Every time we travel to Temecula, we have to stop by Robert renzoni to grab wine and the food. It's absolutely delicious! The pasta sauce they have there is so amazing. I always have to buy jars of that as well as the balsamic vinegar. Love this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Mama Rosa's Trattoria is located at Robert Renzoni Vineyards. I recommend making a reservation. The views and ambiance are beautiful and make you feel like you're in Tuscany. Keep in mind that you can't do a wine tasting flight at the restaurant. Tastings are only available on the separate tasting patio. They have a bar where you order your food and wine, and live music on the weekends. We didn't want to fill up on food so the 3 of us split 2 appetizers and a salad which was nice and light. The Polpette e Marinara, large meatballs in marinara and lots of melty cheese were super delicious and the best thing we ordered. The Roman Artichokes on a bed of arugula in honey balsamic dressing were way overdressed and I felt like $15 for the dish was way too much. The Italian Cobb was fresh and filled with ingredients but again, $20 for a basic salad is steep. The food here won't blow you away but it gets the job done if you need some food in your stomach for all of the wine.

Yelp
Mamá Rosa's Trattoria is a really well ran restaurant in the Robert Renzoni winery. Everything that we have tried has been delicious. When it arrives to your table, you can tell that the food was made with pride and that they want you to really enjoy your time there. The pizzas are good, the sandwiches are good, the pastas are good, the salads ... everything is good. This last trip, they had a lobster ravioli on the menu as their special dish. Of course, it was delicious!! While we waited for some friends, we listened to the guy they have there playing a number of songs from different genres. He's pretty good and helps give the place that extra cool feeling. Of course, I also have a bottle of their Pinot Grigio while I wait. Cheers and enjoy!!

Pheng S.

Yelp
Delicious food, breezy area with an outstanding view and good wine. Love that they provide pairing suggestions to the food. We had the bbq chicken pizza and the cheese sacchetti. Absolutely delicious. Ordered at the bar; follow- up service was pleasant and good live music.
google avatar

Marissa O.

Yelp
The winery is beautiful. The wine is tasty, and the wine tasting service is exceptional. But go to the winery and skip this restaurant! The restaurant staff (servers and managers) were rude, unreasonable, and unapologetic. They nearly ruined our entire afternoon. The other parts of the restaurant experience (common place and expensive food, beautiful setting, and live music) we're not enough to make up for the terrible service. Not worth it.
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
This place is hopping on the weekend! Although they do not have servers take your order at the table, they are very organized and do deliver your food (you place the order at the bar). As we waited for our food, we enjoyed the view, the music and a couple glasses of sangria, not to sweet, just right. We gave the $30 muffellata sandwich a try - it was served warm and oozed of flavor - delicious!

Krystal C.

Yelp
First of all this winery was beautiful and the service was great. I went while it was raining, so it was less crowded than usual. I went with a large party (more than 10), and we got our food relatively fast. They also played live music which was nice. The gnocchi was really soft, but other than that the appetizers were delicious and the R&R pizza was our favorite dish!
google avatar

Christian S.

Yelp
Great views, great wine, and amazing pizza. Would definitely go back for wine tasting.

Gina M.

Yelp
I'm a club member and I was very disappointed today. We didn't have a reservation and that was fine. So we waited 45 mins for a table. I ordered our food and I was told it was a 45 minute wait for food to come out of the kitchen. I'm sorry, that's not acceptable. It ended up being 60 minutes for all the food to come out. If you are going to have a restaurant, your food has to come out of the kitchen faster than that. It was not busy by any standards. For what we paid for lunch I would expect better. The food was delicious don't get me wrong but you need to do better. There needs to be a sense of urgency when it comes to customers.
google avatar

Jenna B.

Yelp
I'm not a pizza girl... but today.... I WAS! And they had my favorite beer! Pliney the elder! Our bartender Cassie was so helpful with the recommendations on where to hop to next! I want to come back Durning out trip!

Yelp
First time here. At the Renzoni Winery. Nice Temecula winery. Live music on the weekends. Food was tasty. No table service. Need to order drinks and food at the bar. Waited about 20 minutes in a long line. They bring food out. Pizzas were tasty. Wines were good. No food pairing recommendations and no staff available to explain what wine is best with their food. I would've thought at least a mention of which of their own wines to pair with their foods on the menu. I guess that would make sense

Anthony O.

Yelp
We normally love this restaurant and know to make a reservation. We ordered an hour ago and still no food. Many around us asking for a refunds not sure if I will be returning.

Anthony O.

Yelp
Had a horrible experience. Had reservations at 12 pm ordered food and nothing came by 1:15 PM. No food was available, no apology, they just refunded our money and said be on your way. Definitely not going back here because they don't really treat you well at all.

Yelp
This is a really nice spot for lunch. The patio is large and has a lot of seating, the views are great, and on a breezy day it feels wonderful out there. The member's patio is small and very shady, but it can be hard finding seating out there. I dislike the high top tables, they aren't very sturdy and I have seen people knock their wine off them since they wiggle around so much. The non-member's patio is very large and all tables have umbrellas, which is nice. There is a large community seating area next to the bar with canvas shades draped across to prevent getting hit with direct sunlight, but it traps the heat and keeps it too warm in there. I have had lunch here twice. The first time my friend and I each got a pasta dish, two different kinds of ravioli/tortellini. The sauces were very heavy and under-seasoned. I would not order pasta again. Yesterday my friend and I shared a Julia's Favorite pizza (tomatoes, basil, olive oil) and it was perfect. Loved all of the fresh toppings, the cheese, and the amazing crust. It was the perfect size for the two of us since we were starving. It would have been good for three if we weren't so hungry. The prices here are great considering how expensive a lot of the wineries restaurants are. I like that you can buy glasses of wine and beer outside on the patio. Service is friendly, not so fast though. Plan on coming here to relax with a glass of wine, take in the views and the live music (if they have some that day) and enjoy your time while you wait for your food!

Yelp
Absolutely horrible! Better choices near this winery. Poor customer service. Policies override common sense.. Was told needed reservations. Watched several empty tables stay empty during our entire visit while we couldn't be seated. Was very hot, sat in the heat for 2 hours while looking at cooler seats which remained empty. Asked for wine tasting. Was turned away while look at empty spots at the bar. Food is over priced. $22 for 8 chicken wings or $20 for 4 pieces of Bruschetta. Many better choices in this area.
google avatar

Sophia C.

Yelp
I loved the wine tasting at the vineyard and really wanted to love the restaurant but the food was ehh" as described by most of our party. Customer service: Not bad considering it's very casual. You pay and order, then they bring it to the food to the table and leave you to enjoy. I did not mind this. The hostess even squeezed us in and they were super busy. 45 minute wait for food busy. The ambiance is nice, and tranquil. Pretty views. Price: it's $$ as expected for this type of place. Heads up, they add gratuity for parties of 6 or more...it confused me since it's not formal and they do not wait on you. I don't mind tipping but was confused regarding that. Food: I was unimpressed with the food and this girl loves to eat. The pastas tasted like something you might whip up quick at home. I would not return to dine here, only go taste wine at the vineyards tasting area.

Yelp
This was a great lunch spot for the hubby and me on our Saturday outing to Temecula wine country. Reservations definitely recommended - they were booked solid on a Saturday. That being said, we still felt really safe eating there. Outdoor seating, tables well spaced apart. There was even live music (new with the recent move to red tier)! Keep in mind that this place IS counter service (order at the counter and the food will be brought to you), rather than "wait staff". Though, there are people who come by to remove dirty plates, etc. There was a 2 hour limit on the table, but it was more than enough time for us to check out the menu, order and eat. The two of us shared the Polpette e Marinara and the R&R Pizza. Meatballs in marinara topped with melted cheese. Truffle white pizza made in a brick oven. Both were absolutely delicious. Pricing was a little on the spendier side ($16 for the meatballs and $24 for the pizza), but they can charge that given it was restaurant quality food amidst a sea of wineries. Unfortunately we weren't too impressed with the wine, but we'll definitely be back for the meatballs and pizza!

Quincey W.

Yelp
How this place isn't 5 stars I don't know. The food is excellent and the patio seating consistently has great live music. Whoever doesn't enjoy this location needs to reevaluate there tastes in life
google avatar

Katrina P.

Yelp
I dream of the marinara sauce from here. It is the best I have ever had and am kicking myself for not buying it to take home. The spaghetti bolognese with meatballs is next level good...I ate it 2 days in a row. The Margherita and barbecue chicken pizzas are also super good. They have speedy service, the patio is nice and has misters, and there is live entertainment.
google avatar

Liz K.

Yelp
Came here on a recommendation. It was a one hour and thirteen minutes wait to bring out this cheese board. AND that's off hours 3-4:15. Beautiful view though.

Olivia M.

Yelp
Food was very good. Arugula Salads and pizzas and beers. Two things I did not like. 1- I had to pay 18% fee gratuity for a large party (party of 6 and over and one of the party of 6 was my 10 months-old grandson). But there was no waitress service. I had to order the food from the counter. NO one cleared our plates while we were there and we had to get our own water. So that added almost $40 for nothing. 2- The pricing on the menu was a bit misleading on the cost of the "Make your own Pizza" It implies the base price includes up to 4 toppings with additional toppings at $2.00 each. Actually the base price is just the plain cheese. The wines at the winery were very good and my husband did buy a couple.

Yelp
No trip to Robert Renzoni Vineyard and Winery would be complete without a trip to Mama Rosa's Trattoria! This is the lovely eatery attached to the tasting room with an expansive patio overlooking the properties vineyards. Mama Rosa's serves light Italian food items; everything from Italian style sandwiches, pizza's and salads, to meat and cheese platters. In addition to the food selections, you may purchase wines by the glass or by the bottle to enjoy while taking in the breathtaking view of the property. I personally love how the tables are graciously spaced and intimate here, which really adds to the experience. We don't always want to hear the conversations of those next to us! Lunch on this Friday afternoon, included a salad and the "Italiano" sandwich paired with a Tempranillo. It was a perfect portion as we knew we would be making the trip to the tasting room after the completion of our meal. Go here for the ambiance, the wine, the food, (and the company of course) AND another reason to visit is for: Mama Rosa's Marinara Sauce. You can try it during a wine tasting. Mama Rosa's Marinara (for those who love garlic) had us at "ciao"! #MamaRosasMarinara #WhoLovesGarlic #KeepItIntimate

Yelp
So dissapointed in our visit today. The place was beautiful and open with 10+ tables available. We asked to sit down while we ordered food and drinks, and were told that the tables were all reserved. We ended up standing at the bar, and the bartender informed us we were in the way and had to move. After an hour wandering around and spending $$$ we left and the tables were still empty :-( Whoever owns this place should focus on creating a more inviting atmosphere for their guests.

Yelp
Yum, the food was so great! The red sauce in the pasta was super flavorful. Took a bit of creative license and dipped the meatball sandwich into the red pasta sauce. Was also amazing with the arugula salad in the Sammy.
google avatar

Yelp
Favorite place to have lunch in the wine country. You can't go wrong with ANY of the lunch items. We always love Renzoni wine, staff, setting and food! Try: Bruchetta Pizzas Salad Delicious! However they have done a couple tests for dinner and personally it wasn't a great experience. I hope they just stick to what they perfect- wine and lunch!

Yelp
There was 3 of us ladies celebrating my friend Birthday..We've been here several times & though the service has never been fantastic it was terrible this last week...They sat us in the sun & when we noticed other patrons moving to sit in available tables in the shade. ( there was at least 5 available) my friend went up to the manager Richard and asked very politely if we could move tables, he was rude & very unaccommodating! Then my other friend went up & proceeded to ask as well.. The whole time Richard never tried to accommodate us in any way, mind you this whole time people are getting up and moving to the tables right in front of him.. We were considerate enough to ask..Needless to say Richard could definitely use a lesson in Manners and Management. .. because of this they lost several good customers..
