Mama Shelter Belgrade

Amazing place, nice staff, DJ and great food. Yep, it's full of Serbians because this is their country...se below reviews from others giving 1 star to this amazing place... Filip served us first with a welcoming smile, and he made our night treating us in a beautiful and friendly manner.

Great hotel! Very trendy with lots of energy. There are bands ans DJs at night in the bar and restaurant but it’s not loud in the rooms. The breakfast and food is amazing. The staff are so friendly. Excellent location on the main pedestrian street near the fortress. The rooms are comfortable but nothing special. It’s the vibe and location that’s so great. It’s the top of a nice shopping mall and has rooftop bar too.

Firstly, during my 3-night, 4-day stay at your hotel, no water was provided in the room after each cleaning. I have a child, and I needed water and hot water to prepare baby food. There was no kettle in the room, and I am an All Platinum member. I had to pay for all the water I needed, and most of the time, I had to get it myself. I was unable to benefit from room service on many occasions. On New Year’s Eve, the restaurants were only available with reservations, and we were not allowed in. I believe this is something that should have been communicated to your guests, as it cannot be expected for us to know this beforehand. Other than that, the breakfast was good, and the location is very central. However, since the hotel is located on the shopping mall floor, the elevators are generally very busy. If you are traveling with a child, accessing the hotel can be a bit challenging.

We came to roof bar for the Christmas but it is only for Serbians. Most of the songs were Serbian, we didn't like it. Food was good, However, for having fun especially on the Christmas it is not the right place. It is not only songs but the broken speakers. Therefore, it was a complete disaster

I came here three times on my short trip to Belgrade. The service and hospitality of everyone was among the best! Filip and James were so polite and gave us drinks right as they were closing and were very kind. I didn’t stay here but I think next time I come back I will have to because they were so polite and nice to us. They truly made me feel so welcome and my group of friends. Amazing service and I hope management sees this and recognizes them for their hard work and care of the guests!

Our stay at the hotel was great, the location is really cool and unique and every detail in the design is amaziiing. Lazar checked us in and he was extremely polite, even helped us get to the room. Getting to the rooms is a bit confusing at first but thats because of the high safety policies in the hotel, which we really appreciated as a group of girls traveling. Also there was a security guy on reception 24/7. When we checked in there was awesome brunch with a dj and the atmosphere was stunning.

We stayed 4 nights at the Mama Shelter Belgrade and had a wonderful time! The hotel is very central, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and the bar/restaurant area is lively and fun. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. There are a lot of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Belgrade. I booked a ‘Large Mama’ room. When I got the room the floor was extremely dirty, with lots of electric wire stripping scattered around and hair on the floor (see figure 1 and 2). I went to the reception to request for a new room, the receptionist did not apologise for the low standard of cleanliness but gave me a new room. However the new room is clearly smaller than the old one, as the old one had space for two chairs in front of the window (like the photo advertised in the mama shelter Belgrade website) but the new one has no space for chairs at all (see figure 3), which clearly matches the ‘Medium Mama’ room photo. I went back to the receptionist to request for a refund of the difference in price but she and her colleague tried to gaslight me into believing the two rooms are the same size. The colleague even said the rooms are only 2 squared meters in difference, which is clearly not true. In addition, the fire escape route also supports my claim that the previous room was much larger than the new room. I have contacted All Accor customer service, but apart from being told 'my email has been forwarded to the relevant department', I haven't heard anything else yet. Edit: 6 days after I contacted the customer service I received an email saying I’d get a refund for the price difference. 3 days after that I got the partial refund.
