Maman Rockefeller Review - Midtown - New York - The Infatuation

"If a Maman hasn’t opened in your neighborhood yet, just wait and one will probably pop up. This location near Rockefeller Center is decorated with a lot of greenery, and it feels like the room should be filled with woodland creatures instead of people eating lunch. Maman excels at baked items like croissants, loaf cakes, and cookies. Because of that, we prefer their sandwiches to their salads. One of their best is the warm roast beef and cheddar on ciabatta with wasabi mayo. You should know that laptops aren’t allowed here, but phones are fine, so you’ll be okay." - Kenny Yang

Overall delightful. I was pleased with the Quiche Sarah (vegetarian) and the iced tea options. The mango passionfruit beach ball was good but not great, and i was a little bummed that the hot tea list cannot be made iced. Atmosphere is lovely, lots of plants and seating. The AC needs to be improved. Will return!

This was the first coffee shop I visited here in NY, and I was honestly impressed. My family had each gotten their own dishes, but I had a refresher that was perfectly sweet and my sister and I shared the walnut banana bread, Nutella beignet, and the smoked salmon salad. Everything was super tasty! Big shoutout to James for walking us through the menu and being so attentive. He really made us feel welcome!

Google
James is the best. He's served us a few times already, on Sundays. He's just so kind and friendly. The food is so so great. It's not a cheap cafe visit but it's certainly an elegant and cozy spot for your morning and afternoon lates and sandwiches. The honey lavender late is VERY good and no fake syrup added.

Google
Solid cafe on UES with an assortment of pastries, breakfast options and baked goods. We got ham and cheese croissant, I got the GF turkey cobb, and the summer matcha with coconut whip cream and a pistachio matcha latte. GF bread is def hard to get right, I ended up eating it more like an open face sandwich. Matcha was decent.

Google
Fantastic coffee and pastries. I loved the pistachio chocolate croissant. The atmosphere was charming and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place and I've been to a bunch of coffee shops.

Google
We had a great brunch here and the food is nice and fresh. I had the salmon tantine and you can taste the freshness of the salmon and the seasoning bagel along with the cream cheese. I also really like the Lavender Hot Latte and the lavender after taste afterwards. Mateas and Toby were very friendly and accomodative to our questions. Would be more than happy to come back!

Google
Such a cute and aesthetic place! Great assortment of pastries. Service is a bit slow at times. Great atmosphere as well.

James was absolutely amazing! Ordered the pastry platter to share with a girlfriend. Such a cute place with great food.

Yelp
Was here recently for a work breakfast, around 9am. Got a table easily but the room quickly filled up. We each had a Papa's Breakfast Bowl -- some substitutions and ingredients taken out were allowed, although they messed that up upon arrival (was quickly solved, though). The bowl had good taste and I enjoyed mixing all the ingredients together. I wouldn't mind coming back in the future, but just wouldn't be my first choice. Keep in mind there is no wifi and we got in trouble for taking a laptop out. The server was nice about it but this is not ideal for remote workers! Design touches were nice with a French/American vibe and overall the place was clean.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast on a weekend and this place was super busy! You can't make a reservation for tables, but once I was seated and ordered, I was told I had to move because a large party made a reservation and needed the space where I was seated. I was then moved to a different table where the spot hadn't been cleaned off. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and added egg, and it was just okay. Same thing with the latte - it was just lacking something. Their cookies are absolutely amazing and I thought their breakfast would live up to them but it just didn't.

Yelp
I thought it was good! I got a few crossiant popcorn sticks were yummy. Slightly too sweet but it's a great indulgent dessert.

Yelp
Maman's ubiquitous presence in the city make the aesthetic cafes feel familiar & comforting. This is the third (maybe fourth?) location I've been to because simply walking by guarantees at least a peek inside. And looking often leads to buying. I was missing the lavender white chocolate mocha from my go-to San Francisco spot when I ordered a lavender latte from Maman, but the slightly bitter, watery drink didn't hit the same. Their display case bursts with every sort of carb you could want but the almond croissant is a standout with all its sweet, gooey insides. Maman has a variety of creative coffee drinks & a menu full of savory items I'm looking forward to trying. Even though my first encounter with this location wasn't perfect, I'm sure this Maman, or the next, will find me walking through their doors soon again.

Yelp
I do love this place. Such beautiful decor and thoughtful touches. They have gluten free options. I hope they bring back the cauliflower Reuben sandwich soon. It was delicious. This last visit I had a gluten free grilled cheese with bacon and and iced chai with coconut milk. With all the add ons it was $29. I think a $20 GF bacon grilled cheese is a bit too steep. The bread and cheese were great and the bacon did add some flavor. I will be back but will probably order a tea and a GF pastry if they have any.

Yelp
3.5/5 stars I came to try Oprah's famous nutty chocolate chip cookie which would be better if the nuts and chocolate chips were separate. The cookie would've been better warmer too. Honestly I wouldn't come here for cookies since there are better chains. As for the hot chocolate, the foam was too thick and the hot chocolate itself had a very bland taste without much chocolate coming through. The restaurant itself is beautiful for a date or even to study. I would come back to study or meet up with a friend for coffee but not the biggest fan of the food. The service was nice.

Yelp
We had an unexpected morning in NYC after our return flight was cancelled the night before and landed with a friend who lives next door to Maman. The space is beautiful both inside and out and radiates French cafe vibes. I also noticed that they offered a lot of features to make the restaurant kid-friendly- changing station, high chair, waiting area, etc. we ordered cappuccinos, a kouigan maman (their name for it), piña colada croissant cube, breakfast bowl and slice of the banana bread. The breakfast bowl was filled with potatoes, egg, avocado and bacon- it was probably our favorite item that we ordered. The croissant dough seemed a little off - more dense than flaky. The piña colada cream was delicious though. The only other thing we noticed was that the cappuccinos seemed smaller than usual and felt like a bit of a tease. Our service was straightforward and on it. Overall, a positive experience.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated cafe. Multiple locations across NYC and major big cities. Gets busy at times but service is great and staff is attentive. A bit over priced for coffee, even tho the quality is good. Would only come here for coffee as the food was a bit disappointing and expensive. No laptop policy if you dine in.

Yelp
It was raining and miserable and we just wanted some food. A quick Uber ride from Central Park got us here for some much needed sustenance in the morning. I picked Carol's tomato basil soup ($9) and a large honey lavender iced latte with whole milk ($5.75). The soup came out not too hot and chilled at some parts, which was fine. Filled me up without feeling too heavy. I so looked forward to the iced latte since I had been up for quite a while. Gave me the caffeine fix I needed! Plenty of seating inside by the front and even more towards the back when you go up the stairs. Appreciated that their cold drink came in an actual glass!

Yelp
My favorite go to place for coffee and baked goods. So many good options for coffee and croissants. Very fast service. One of my absolute favorite shops.

Yelp
RATING: 6.7/10 PRO TIP: Walked in a Sunday morning at 10:30 and no wait. But it did get crowded towards noon. Get the belgian waffles. EGG SANDWICH + CHICKEN - Unfortunately they don't have sausage or some variation of it, but they do offer to add chicken for a few bucks to the bacon sandwich to make it heartier. While each component tasted good if not great, I didn't find the components meshing well together as well as I'd have liked. The egg was nice and runny; the chicken was dominating the flavor - not sure if it was a good complement after all - the avocado on top was super mushy and made the top bun slip off the sandwich; the cornmeal bun had a nice gritty texture to it which was interesting and was warm. The bacon was lost in the rest of the sandwich (maybe my own fault). Just okay - nothing to write home about but def hearty. BELGIAN WAFFLE ** We almost didn't get this but you MUST. It was the highlight of the meal - it has a beautiful crisp/sugary crunch texture to the outside, and a softness inside; wouldn't describe as fluffy but sweet and not too sweet. Smaller than expected, but it was a nice sweet bite to share. CAPPUCCINO - their coffee is just okay I would say but def got the job done. FINAL RANKING: GOOD (terrible / bad / ok / GOOD / great / excellent)

Yelp
Came here Saturday afternoon after lunch and the place was packed. I've ears a lot about this place so I wanted to try but the place was too crowded to sit down and enjoy some parties. So I ended up getting a large iced Matte latte with soy milk to go. Tbh the matcha was not as strong as I hoped it would be. While the color looked good it was quite bland and watered down. I also noticed the ice melted quite quick even tho it was not the honest day in nyc by far. I personally hate it when my ice melts before I finish my drink lol. My friends recommended the pistachio croissant but I didn't get it cause the place was so packed I kinda just wanted to be in and out. Maybe I'll be back next time?

Yelp
We loved our brunch here! The inside is adorable and they have some outside seating as well. We came around 11am on a Sunday and there were a few open tables. They also have to go as an option if you're in a rush or they're out of tables. I ordered the create your own omelet. I got it with tomatoes, ham, and herbed feta cheese. It was great! I didn't love the whole cherry tomatoes (wish they were diced!) but the flavors were good. I added toast and the seasonal jam and it was good as well.

Yelp
I finally got to try Maman after walking past different locations multiple times. For someone who was new to this chain, its almost like Tatte but for French/American cuisine. It features a wide range of classic breakfast dishes (with their take), salads, soups, sandwiches, and baked goods from bread to cookies, as well as many coffee drink options. Out of the several things I tried, the green shakshuka was my favorite! I loved how it had a generous serving of sauteed greens with lots of herbs (basil, dill, cilantro, etc) and olives. The sauteed greens were well seasoned and mixed well with the chunky feta cheese. I only wish that the sunny side up eggs were less cooked and could have added some runny yolk to the mixture. The sourdough slices were also solid - toasted but not too dry. The turkey sandwich featured tender turkey along with an appropriate amount of goat cheese and cranberry jam. The sweet potato soup was pretty standard with a strong potato flavor but felt that it was under-seasoned. The nutty chocolate chip cookie was filled with chocolate chips and nuts ranging from macadamia, almonds, and walnuts. I wish I could have had it fresh right out of the oven but it was still tasty nevertheless. The staff who took our order was super nice and answered a lot of our questions. There was a good amount of seating inside with "two" floors. Loved the rustic vibes and decor including the plants, wooden tables, and blue/white china patterns.

Yelp
Maman on the Upper East Side is a delightful discovery, especially for those who appreciate quality coffee and bites. The coffees and lattes are top-notch, each brew made with care. Their sandwich options are not just tasty but satisfyingly filling. The ambiance of the place is another highlight - cozy and perfect for a quick catch-up with friends. It's important to note that this is a laptop-free space, which actually adds to its charm, encouraging real conversations and a break from the digital world. It's a bit of a hidden gem, defying its underrated status. Definitely worth a visit for anyone in the area looking for great coffee in a welcoming setting.

Yelp
Ok, can you say obsessed! I am basically a fan girl for every single thing I've had here. As a New Yorker I can appreciate a French pastry and coffee done right, and they have nailed it! The service is usually wonderful, and the ambiance is like you've been transported to a quaint French bakery. I bought the cook book and the mug, and I constantly gift their cookie sets for my clients too. I am definitely a proud regular and have never had a bad menu item. It's great for a girls breakfast, afternoon tea, or when you're hungover and need some champagne fuel to get you over the hump!

Yelp
My review is contingent that I have not tried a lot of items from this place... I am an absolute sucker for anything rose flavored! Maman has a absolutely DELICIOUS mocha rose latte that I love. I absolutely recommend it! In terms of food, I have purchased pastries for friends and family before. They always enjoy them!

Yelp
We have a maman in Princeton and they're good but have operational issues. As they are newer I figured it was just this location. Nope. Should have read the reviews. Coffee is good. Pastries are yummy and staff is very nice. I only had one thing at this location and it was ok but it's nothing I've had at ours so I can't judge food overall. However they are understaffed and overworked. Because they get online (app) and grubhub orders and the same people need to handle those and the in-store orders if there is a line of more than 3 people .... It's a long wait. If you have the time, try it. Or try it at a non-busy hour. Whenever that is.

Yelp
I've been wanting to visit Maman ever since I stepped foot inside one of their locations and fell in love with the garden aesthetic of the decor. A charming setting, specialty lattes, and unique pastries always lure me to stay while. I visited during brunch time with a friend. This location is spacious, with a front dining room and a back seating area as well. I ordered a honey lavender latte and tartine au salmon. While the setting was lovely, my food wasn't anything special. The tartine was composed of rye bread slathered with cream cheese, topped with smoked salmon and a plethora of red onions. Perhaps they were too generous with the onions, because I did feel like the smoked salmon flavor was a little dulled. My latte was amazing though. The honey and lavender flavors blended together melodiously. Other things that detracted from a more enjoyable lunch were the lack of napkins (we were told they were all out) and the uncleanly bathroom. I probably wouldn't go back to this location except to pick up pastries but I would give another a try.

Sherry K.

Yelp
Everything is delicious. Went several times during our trip to New York. Never disappointed- except the one day we got there too late for their overnight oats.
google avatar

Yelp
During my recent visit to Maman for a pop-up event, I was delighted to see the beautiful floral arrangements throughout the cafe. Additionally, I love the message "where the magic happens" as it is a perfect for the space. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was disappointing. There was no clear signs on where to line up. Despite being in the space at 11:40am, it wasn't until I inquired about the complimentary drink at 12:10p that a staff member informed me it had already ended. I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and understanding. This interaction made me question whether I would return for lunch in the future, as customer service is a key factor for me. On a positive note, I did enjoy the smoke salmon toast and noticed they offered vegan cookies as well. As a person with dietary food restrictions, it was very much appreciated.

Yelp
We had breakfast delivered. Each of us got quiche or a yogurt parfait. We also got an assortment of pastries to share. Everything was fresh and delicious. We would definitely order again. On the way home we stopped at Petite Maman in the Moynihan Food Hall. The food there was just as good.
google avatar

Mandy K.

Yelp
Stopped by this UWS location and tried the pistachio cream croissant which was way too sweet and had zero pistachio flavor. It's only called pistachio croissant cuz of the green power on top I guess. The croissant itself also was not fresh and had no good texture. That option absolutely made me feel guilty about consuming the unworthy calories. Should stick to their famous chocolate chip cookies...

Proteeti S.

Yelp
We loved the lavender honey latte at Maman. There is a good selection of pastries and breakfast food, along with drinks. We waited quite a while for a table for 2 which was the downside. We saw others come after us but get tables before. Came here other times only for pick-up, and those experiences were all quick and efficient. Good pastries and coffee.
google avatar

Natt A.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop if you're looking for a good pastry, coffee and floral vibes. I tried a seasonal iced tumeric matcha latte which was great (I added a Splenda for a bit more sweetness) and it was a great choice for a warm day. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's great if you want to eat there or just grab something quick to go (I usually grab something to go). They have a ton of locations throughout the city and usually I'll stop by for something quick or if I have visitors in town wanting to grab a coffee. The pistachio croissant was also delicious!
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
The ambiance makes it a perfect place for a quick bite and casual brunch. It is super cute in there but usually busy and not enough seating. The food is pretty good for cafe and has good coffee! I recommend the pastries and sandwiches!
google avatar

Elijah B.

Yelp
Amman was so cute and an affordable option if you are going to the Met. There are a few vegan option on the menu and all of the pastries look absolutely delicious. They have a full espresso bar and the kindest staff. Reading more about Maman, I found out it was a local chain. The faux-French aesthetic was still really cute though. Also if you plan to come here to work, don't! They have a no-laptops policy.
google avatar

Whitney D.

Yelp
Well Maman has been a wonderful addition to the Upper East side. They have been popping up in other areas too. You deff need to bring your patience though especially if you go in the morning. There probably will be a line likely but moves some what on the fast side. They have wonderful pastries and strong, tasty coffee. I usually get either hot or iced lattes. Their croissants are tasty too! They do not only sell coffee and pastries but they also have their own cookbook which I have a copy of myself and they have very cute mugs, cups and other wonderful products that they sell. I got some one a coffee cup from here and at the bottom was a little bunny. Wonderful place if you have gifts to get for coffee, tea lovers. The staff at this location has always been wonderful and helpful. Although, it gets busy they always take the time to help the customer that is at register. They do not seem to loose their patience. This location also is a laptop free place. They encourage, reading, calling your loved ones and or meeting a new person. They also have a good size outdoor seating area, and beautiful exterior. 100% recommend this place.
google avatar

Kristie M.

Yelp
Came here sat am with a friend around 10 am! Note if you want to sit down and have a table in the cafe at this time, you are not allowed to order just coffee and pastries. You have to actually also order something from the front side menu (with breakfast and lunch dishes as well). Server was nice in explaining that and telling us the seasonal pastries and drinks. Ambiance is chic and French rustic- the wood tables with the blue and white cutlery is super cute. seasonal latte - buttercream latte- 4.5/5 - not overly sweet or too artificial buttercream tasting! Love the mugs they came in too. Quiche Lorraine: 4/5- warm, egg was fluffy! No complaints and solid choice if you like quiche Olive oil pistachio filling cake - 5/5 they were almost sold out and we were gonna have to order the pistachio croissant instead but we got lucky! Soo moist and tasty, would def buy again!!

Yelp
3.5. This place is ok. I didn't expect them to have so many locations-- took me a while to find the right location to review. I got the truffle crocque Maman and my friend got the tartine au saumon. She actually wanted a bread bowl soup but they were out of both of the options she wanted. I never had truffle so I was curious to see what it tasted like but my (I guess it's an open faced sandwich?) sandwich tasted like a normal, but still tasty, cheese bread. Not sure if I got any of the truffle taste. Salad was also doused in a lot of dressing, and I personally don't love that. This place is also ridiculously popular. I had to put my name down and waited about half an hour to get seated. I'm not sure if I would come here again. I want to try their pastries since their chocolate croissant looked appetizing. I honestly only came here because it was closest to the part of the park I wanted to visit and prices seemed fair. 3.5 not great, not terrible but might be improved pending pastries taste test!
google avatar

MeiLing L.

Yelp
Love their signature nutty chocolate chip cookie! Very iconic, full of macadamia and chocolate flavor. Not a fan of their pastries though. Nothing as impressive as the cookie.
google avatar

Shirley C.

Yelp
The decor in the cafe is amazing with greenery. Food and drink definitely overpriced. Look at the V-day latte from advertising and reality - it was ridiculous for $8-9 per drink without "real" design. The staff did not clean the table after the customers left. Absolutely disgusting!
google avatar

Yelp
Maman is brand new to the Upper East Side. It's absolutely beautiful. I met the Manager and he was very welcoming. He said Maman is Mother in French. This place is spacious as can be. There's restrooms and baby high chairs. This is more than coffee. I waited for them to brew a fresh pot of drip coffee. When it was ready the sweet counter employee brought it to my table. I hate to say I don't care for the taste. I used one of my Sweet and Low and added one of their Splenda packets. It didn't help the bitter taste very much. I drank it for energy in this heat wave! You can see by my photos all the delicious pastries! The atmosphere is calming with soft jazz music for lack of a better term. There's plenty of seating options both inside and outside. It's looks like they could easily serve a large party in the back room. I could absolutely spend a lot of money on the cute accessories they sell. They made great use of the space by the counter where you can't help but pass the display on your way to the register. I love the little bears and bunnies! I'm highly recommending as it is a wonderful relaxing atmosphere and I'm thoroughly enjoying my coffee here. I will definitely return to eat next time, but skip coffee! Btw people are lining up at the counter the longer I'm here. Better get here early!

Yelp
Had heard a lot about their cookies and overall restaurant and was excited to try it....It did not meet my expectations. Cookie was cold and food was only satisfactory but nothing noteworthy/memorable. Loved the service and ambiance though, it's a very aesthetic restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to a total of 2 Maman locations over the past few months and I struggle to decide which was worse. At THIS Maman I bought a latte. A hot latte when it was still a bit chilly out a couple weeks ago. Disgusting. The shot was bitter and the milk was way over-steamed. Maybe it was burned and the milk is what tasted bitter. Either way, it was a fail. Staff is not friendly here. I won't be returning to ANY Maman anytime in the future. This place gets pretty bad reviews, so it looks like I'm in good company with my decision.

Yelp
Very cute and charming (and deceivingly big) French brunch spot with numerous locations around the city. It has a very Instagram-able vibe with the Parisian aesthetic, but the food lives up to the hype. They have the option for counter service/takeout or dine-in. The tables are cafeteria-style where it's a series of long tables. I thought it would be more bothersome than it was. The food was great! The pastries are average as is the latte, but the actual food was delicious. It's overall a healthy restaurant because every dish comes with a side salad only. I got the rabbit hole after seeing it at a neighboring table, and it was excellent. It comes in a bread bowl, which I didn't eat too much of because it was so heavy. But the inside of butternut squash, egg, caramelized onion, and other food was delish. Nothing was overpowering either. My sister who hates butternut squash and onions had a bite and enjoyed it. The honey lavender latte that the waiter recommended and that they are known for is average. It definitely needed sugar. Our waiter was very nice and chipper. Between the good food and pretty aesthetic, I'm not surprised it is so popular on weekends. It's also worth noting that they do not accept reservations, and they have NO peanuts anywhere on site.

Yelpin A.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant on a recent business trip to NYC. Decent food, yummy pastries, very attentive service (the order taker and servers are separate, so the order taker can stay in the room most of the time and attend to diners' needs). Only one problem, though, which is why I am dinging it a star: it is LOUD. I mean REALLY, REALLY LOUD. The walls are all solid brick so when the restaurant filled up mid-morning, the volume gradually increased as everyone had to shout to be heard over one another. They need to put in some sound-absorbing material (or at least some tapestries, maybe) to dampen the noise. In the meantime, come here for the food, which is good, but don't try to have any sort of business meeting or intimate conversation here. It'll be painful.

Yelp
TLDR: only came here for take out and ordered at the cafe. Cashier was kind but food and drink was okay. Came in on a Saturday; I was craving something refreshing because of the hot summer day and saw that this cafe was very busy which is typically a good sign. I ordered the blackberry mint sparkling lemonade and a kouign "maman." I asked what the difference between a kouign "maman" and a kouign amann was and the cashier said there was none. The drink itself was exactly as its named; just blackberry, lemonade, and carbonated water with a sprig of mint. I prefer my drinks unsweetened or lightly sweetened and this was unsweetened. It was quite refreshing. However, there were many, many blackberry seeds in my drink. While I love this because it's an indication that it's truly blackberry and not artificial, it was not very enjoyable to chew on or drink. They often got stuck in my throat. Also, the kouign "maman" was nothing like a kouign amann. If you check the photo, the texture was way off and it was pretty flat. Maybe it is different than a kouign amann? Not sure. I plan on coming back Becuase this place is obviously good based off of the traffic! I will just order something else next time. Cashier was kind and barista was friendly! Service was extremely quick.

Yelp
Crowded, overpriced but nice atmosphere, great servers and reliably good food. My guest ordered the roast beef sandwich which was decent but you can probably find better for less. I go for the atmosphere mostly.

Yelp
Walking around the area looking for some coffee on a rainy ish Saturday brought my friend and I to Maman where we thoroughly enjoyed our time. There were maybe two people waiting in front of us and the line moved rather quickly. We were surprised by how much seating there was inside towards the back of the place , on the outside you would think it's much smaller. While they do have a dedicated food brunch menu, we settled on their pastry basket with our coffees. One flavor of croissant I've never had before and wouldn't think to combine was their pistachio chocolate one - it was executed well. It is a super heavy item pastry because they use a decent cream filling. We also got a lemon loaf that I found could have been just a little more moist but still pretty good. The last pastry was a beignet which had cinnamon sugar coating and a really great filling. We sat here for quite a while enjoying our coffee and making our way through the pasties and had really attentive servers with no rush to get get out the door.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon. I had chocolate hazelnut brioche and mint tea. My friends had latte, tea and cookies. The mint tea was good, but the chocolate hazelnut brioche was just ok. It actually tastes bland. This place has no laptop policy, i.e. you are not allowed to use your laptop here.

Yelp
A healthier alternative to many coffee/lunch spots. A pleasant environment to meet people. I think computer use is discouraged so there is a nice turn over of tables for the large number of people who come here.

Yelp
I'm never going back here. I was sitting in a corner stool at the window counter working at my laptop when a waiter came by and rudely barked at me "This is a laptop free environment." I'm sorry - you're a coffee shop. Get over yourself.

Yelp
THis is the most unorganized, disjointed cafe I have ever been to. Cute inside, but what a mess it is to walk through the front door and try to get seated. I assumed they just opened, but apparently, this place has been open over a year. Plus they were out of 2 of the items I wanted, so I kept having to look at the menu. If you want to go somewhere to have a relaxing cup of coffee and a sandwich, this is not the place. Get it together, Maman. PS. The Kouign Amann (of the "Kouign Maman", as they call it) is god-awful.

Yelp
It's our new to go place in the neighborhood. What an elegant place with great coffee and food! The service is wonderful too. I really like Maman trying to make itself a non laptop cafe, but a space for reading, chatting, and even daydreaming! We need more cafe like this.

Yelp
We waited over 30 minutes for a hightop table with uncomfortable old rickety stools. Only then did I notice the C rating sign in the corner of the window. The food was mediocre -the bread in the smoked salmon tartine was like cardboard and the pickled onions tasted like plastic. The lovely server, matcha oat latte, and blueberry white chocolate cookie earned the star.

Yelp
This is my new go to brunch place! It was quick and easy, but the food was incredible. I got the honey lavender latte, pistachio croissant, and avocado toast. The honey lavender latte was one of the best lattes I have ever had - and it came with beautiful latte art! Our food came out in about 10 minutes and the waiters were really nice and helpful. I went on a Saturday at around 11AM and we were able to find a seat for 2 with no wait. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. It is large but felt cozy and warm. I could have stayed here for hours reading a book. I can't wait to go back in the fall and try their chai latte!

Yelp
We came here after someone sent my wife a IG post that you can get a free cookie and a bag of giveaways if you came in pregnant. We came in, pregnant, but no bag! However, we were given a cookie! We ordered chai latte and green tea latte (I wish this was higher quality green tea- sorry, I'm pretentious, I know!). Then came our entree (well the lovely waitress dropped one entree while coming to us but we did get our food on take 2). However, they forgot our side dishes. The bread were extremely hard and sharp enough to slice open the inside of your mouth. We had the challah bread for dessert and it was not good. Nothing like cold and soggy challah to end your meal! The only saving grace for Mamans was our waiter. He was super nice, thoughtful, attentive, and apologetic (almost like he knows the operations here are subpar). Would I come back? Probably not.

Yelp
Unorganized and unprofessional, they have absolutely no proper system for seating.Even after being seated we had really slow service and some of our food took so long that we ended up cancelling some of them. My eggs were prepared incorrectly. Their mask policy also makes ZERO sense at all. They require masks if you're lined up for the bakery, but not to eat in the restaurant or to sit at a table hanging out after eating. I'm not an anti masker by ANY means, but if I'm wearing a mask and standing next to multiple people not wearing it just because they're seated I don't see see how that's effective. As the state mandate has been lifted, there is no social distancing. They've decided to employ some COVID measure but not others? Get it together.
