Great spot for coffee and pastries. They have some breakfast items too - I saw an avocado toast. The decor is delightful with blues and whites. They sell a chocolate chip walnut cookie that's divine and one of Oprah's favorite things.

We stayed here to get some studying done and I fell in love with the menu, ambiance, and service. Those the worked behind the counter are very friendly. Plus, every single beverage felt they used high quality ingredients. The matcha latte was rich and I can tell it is high grade since I’ve had my fair share of matchas. Lastly, please try their winter special: dark chocolate pistachio cappuccino! It was the best drink I tried that day. As if it is not obvious, I highly recommend stopping by!

Lovely coffee shop Nice and bright atmosphere. Good place for sipping coffee and have a small talk with friends and family. We got Coffee and Matcha drinks. Both are good. Their sweets are a little dry but they are big with reasonable price. They also offer breakfast.

Elisa's breakfast bowl is one of my favorites in Greenpoint. Clean delicious ingredients. It's a lot of food that could probably be split with someone else with a pastry on the side 🙃

Coffee is really amazing, but such a bad customer service. Every single time, everyone is always seems to be annoyed, I was okay first 3 times but after 3 times I figured it’s just their vibe in general. But coffee is really good, because I keep going there even tho I don’t like the service, their coffee and pastries worth it, super delicious.

Their options of pastry were in a great variety and our favorites were their Almond Croissant and Quiche Daisy, especially the texture of Quiche, which was creamy and soft inside with crispy crust. The staff was friendly but just a little slow and unfamiliar with all the process when there was a long line. We were there at about 9am with no line and the service looked smooth. It got crowded at about 10am and we can tell all the orders were unorganized & also heard some complaints from the people in line.

Very friendly staff & cute decor inside. I tried the cheddar scallion scone & it was so yummy - had a teeny bit of spicy flavor to it. The matcha is also really good - I like when mine isn't too sweet cause it takes away from the matcha flavor.

The place has the best overnight oats I've ever had. Whoever had the idea to put cinnamon apple slices in the oats needs a free lifetime membership to la fitness. This shit is good. Not to mention the vibe is "artisanal" (My millennial word) and low key. Service wise the barista was chill. I would definitely come back

On my way to the doctor, I came across this cute bakery. What called me in was the cute bunny designs and reminded me a secret garden. It was almost 6pm so there wasn't much pastries left but they were beautifully displayed and I ended up getting the last Nutella Brownie and a Chocolate Mocha Tea Cup. The Tea Cup was so moist and had the most tasty icing that I couldn't help myself from eating all of it first. The Nutella Brownie was a bit dry but still satisfied my chocolate craving. The place isn't so big so there was a few tables for sitting but since it was nighttime, I found a spot to sit. It's a really nice place to come and enjoy some coffee and goodies.

On our way to lunch we decided to stop by Maman for some coffee/tea and pastries. I ordered a Matcha Latte and a Pistachio Croissant. The Matcha Latte was ok, a bit chalky for my taste, and was not sweetened as requested... but nothing simple syrup or sugar couldn't fix. The highlight was definitely the Pistachio Croissant, the croissant itself was buttery and flakey, and the pistachio cream filling had a nice texture and was not overly sweet. I would come back just for this croissant!

One of the best almond croissants I've ever had! The chocolate almond croissant is also good, but nothing beats the almond!

The interior of this place was a very cute cafe/bakery. Review for seasonal drinks only: Drinks were approximately $7/one - Cherry limeade matcha soda: drink seemed like watered down matcha with a hint of real cherry puree flavor with bubbles. I thought this drink was soso. - Pink Guava Mint lemonade: this drink was way too Tart and not worth $7. It was like 80% lemon juice (didn't taste like lemonade at this point more like straight up lemon juice) and 20% guava. The mint was just an accent piece on the top. Way too acidic. Steer clear of this drink. I typically love anything guava but this drink is definitely a no no. I also didn't like that they gave us paper straws or only had paper straws as the straw got soggy and bent really quick. On a sidenote, the pastries behind the counter looked amazing. There is also a bathroom in the back in case you need it.

Every time I am visiting my dear friend in Brooklyn, we order in from Maman. And there is a reason why...their turkey, cheddar & dijon breakfast roll. People, it is on a brioche pastry - are you kidding me? And I am a huge sucker for a lemon poppy seed loaf - it took me two days to eat mine, and I savored every single bite. We have also had their granola parfait, their turkey sandwich, and of course their Maman's nutty chocolate chip cookie (which is also known as one of Oprah's faves). I always order a flat white with one raw sugar and it holds up very well in transit. If you are looking for a new breakfast place, please give them a try.

Cute cafe on Kent! The "Katie sandwich" was absolutely perfect, from the crunchy bread and spiced grilled chicken to the simple side salad with a berry vinaigrette. I'll definitely be returning to try the beautiful quiches and pastries displayed through the glass counter. For drinks, I just got a black Americano, and it was decent. Maman has a good amount of seating inside (and, it looks like, outside, though that section wasn't set up today, as it's especially chilly out). Service was friendly and super quick. Tables inside have signs to remind users they're laptop-free, so if you're looking for a space to work, this isn't it. Definitely come here to catch up with a friend though!

maman's nutty chocolate chip cookies give me LIFE. I walked here in the morning just to order a cookie and sit in their outside area and enjoy the sun. the cookie is thick but not doughy, and has a crisp exterior. it's the perfect combination of hard and soft and the nuts give it an extra crunchy texture! I would definitely recommend stopping by!

I came here specifically for their Nutty Chocolate Chip cookie, I actually didn't know they had a entire brunch setup, I thought it was just a bakery. The setup for the brunch was super inviting and super cute, I would go back to try their brunch. I came here because I heard they were famous for their chocolate chip cookie, think I saw them featured on Business Insider. The food: White Chocolate Raspberry Rose Cookie- I think this was a special for the day but I thought this cookie was awesome, it was my fav of all the cookies. I thought it was nice and fluffy with a nice raspberry flavor. Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookie- This was the main reason I came to visit, overall it was a Ok cookie, I was shocked they used whole pieces of Macadamia nuts and the flavor worked nicely but I felt the cookie came off rather sweet even though there was a good amount of salt. White Chocolate Pretzel Cookie- This was my least favorite mainly because it was so sweet. The texture of the cookie was nice but I couldn't get over the sweetness.

So cute! If you an aesthetic girly, you'd love! A little hard to grab a table. The staff is SO friendly. Cookies and coffee are yummy. Highly recommend downloading the app for a first time order :)

Maman, my man! Maman never disappointed! I still remembered that the first time I visited their TriBeCa spot everything was just amazing. It has been a while to try their bakeries and still a worthy bakery shop to stop by and treat myself. I had their bakeries like croissants and cake slices. All are flavorful and got me hooked once I started eating. This is called the magic of good bakeries Service: always friendly and welcoming even though it was a cold chilly afternoon. Overall: 5 stars!! Go support Maman

Love their lavender infusion drinks. One of my favorite is their lavender hot chocolate and lavender mocha. Their nutty chocolate chip cookie is rich, a bit crispy on the outside and softer on the inside. Overall a solid cookie. They have a really adorable upstairs area as well though not sure if it's open during the pandemic. My suggestion is grab a drink, a couple pastries and head to transmitter park and watch the ferries go by.

Food was a bit pricey but the meredith turkey sandwich was great. They did not allow laptops and water was self serve. They also do not sell chips or fries which is always my go to side for a sandwich. The ambiance was unique and the service was average.

I've always loved Maman - all their locations. Their drinks & pastries are always on point. Whenever I'm in greenpoint, it's very hard not to stop by for a coffee or croissant. The pastries are always fresh and super tasty. I haven't had their sandwiches or lunches so I can't speak to that. It's also very cute inside, perfect for a coffee chat!

One of the smaller location of Maman chain, but always live their current decor/theme. Stopped by for lunch, and had their salad bowl, with chicken and hash along with matcha. Cute neighborhood eatery for a coffee or lunch/brunch. They had cute swing theme chairs, and staff was very nice. Due to covid, they temperature check and also if you are dining there they require sign in.

I remember coming here a couple years ago and the decorations and vibes are very charming. When I came recently, the staff was super friendly and nice! I've had the croissant, pistachio croissant, and a few different types of cookies. They were all delicious. I hope to try more if what they offer in the future

Cute outpost of Maman french bakery in the city. Can never go wrong with their desserts or coffee. Also, a great place to take your mother if she's visiting for obvious reasons! The swing seating at this location are unfortunately tethered to the ground so you can't swing too far (boooo. but understandable!). Citibike is right next door, easy to use and easy to leave with from Greenpoint! Will be back.

Best delivery order I've made in a long time, and I get a lot of delivery. As in, I'm eating the food as I type, and felt so strongly I had to leave this review before finishing. The turkey sandwjch is *excellent* -- like a turkey cranberry brie grilled panini -- and the pastries -- my god! Get the croissants and banana bread.

Really cute, quaint place. Had the honey lavender latte with oat milk and it was so pleasant! Neither the honey nor the lavender was lost on me and it made me feel so calm. I also ordered the un deux trois that was very unique and flavorful. I will say they should include more bread with it because there was a lot of spread left over. The chocolate almond croissant is literally the best pastry I've ever had in my life so...so do with that information what you will. I would've given it 5 stars but they have a no-laptop policy that I didn't enjoy.

Workers have horrible attitude and half the stuff your allowed to order isn't in stock. Food is mediocre for the price and is representative of the harm of gentrification in the Greenpoint/Willamsburg area. 10/10 do not recommend.

It's a small, unassuming spot until you go inside to find a display filled with pastries and cookies. The pistachio croissant: believe the hype. I tried the blueberry lavender cake and I felt bliss. The outdoor space they built can accommodate two small groups no larger than 4. Inside is very lovely with tables in a distressed paint look. I also got their cookie doughs: Chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. Perfection. If you want to go write for a while or do some self reflection get a coffee and maybe a sandwich and sit inside.

I tried their chocolate croissant, croissant and pistachio loaf and found it fine but nothing special. Pistachio loaf was fairly dry but I came by near the end of the day so that may have been the issue. Croissant wasn't too buttery which was nice but also not super flaky, and I found the chocolate croissant kind of dense. Staff was friendly and the space is cute - I can imagine it being a nice coffee shop to hang out in during pre-pandemic times.

Maman Greenpoint is a delightful and rustic cafe in a great area of Brooklyn. The inside is definitely very insta-worthy and charming. When you walk in, you go to the counter to order your food. From there, your cashier/barista, will give you a number and when your food and beverage are ready, it will be brought to you. I had the lavender hot chocolate, and a portobello mushroom panini. I adored the lavender hot chocolate. The lavender was not overwhelming, and really helped bring out some of those chocolately flavors. If I had to say what was the one thing you had to order when at Maman, it would have to be this hot beverage. The mushroom panini was very good, I really liked the chili spread as a condiment, but I can't say it's a must when ordering lunch here. If I were to come again, I would like to try a different sandwich. Overall the service is great, as are the food and beverage. It is a little pricey, but I would say this is a place worth trying.

I feel like I'm giving away a secret Greenpoint gem. This coffee shop has -by far- the best crossiants, best overall bakery, best specialty coffee, and best service. Only thing is- you can't bring a laptop in. But this gives you space to be quiet and peaceful.

We shared one of their chocolate chip cookies with nuts. Solid cookie. Crispy on the edges with some chewiness on the inside. I think it had macadamia nuts.

Meh. I was expecting more. The Nectarine pancakes were not very good. The only thing that was nectarine about them was the few slivers of fruit on top which were bland and flavorless. The actual pancakes were not fluffy- instead they were very dense and dry. Sad pancakes. The pecan pretzel crumble was delicious tho. The drip iced coffee was really tasty & the presentation of the actual dish was really pretty. The counter service was friendly. But I won't be returning in a hurry after spending $20 and not finishing my breakfast. Also I found it weird that they were out of proper silverware so I had to eat with a silver fork and a plastic knife, and the only napkins they offer are cocktail napkins. I understand those for pastries etc... but a meal?

Maman is a super pleasant cafe! Baked goods looked delicious for the most part but sadly passed on getting one of "Oprah's favorite" cookies as the chocolate cookies from that day looked pretty burnt. Everyone at our table got quiche and I would confidently say the quiche Lorraine won, even over the caramel onion/leek quiche and eggplant quiche. You can add a healthy size side of greens for $3, which was a good supplement. The hash browns were unique as they were very thinly sliced. Laptops are not allowed on the first floor but are allowed on the second, so the 2nd floor was pretty quiet with people typing away.

Love this little gem - been coming here for years and I've never left dissatisfied. They have interesting pastries that you won't find anywhere else such as pistachio cakes and pistachio croissants. I took a look at the reviews to figure out why the ratings are so low in comparison with how good the food is - and it seems people don't like the service? Who goes to a bakery to make friends? The staff here does their job, and does it quite well. If you're lonely and need a place to talk, might I suggest seeking a therapist. But if you want great pastries, I highly suggest this place. Sadly don't have any photos at the moment so I'll update after I go back. In the meantime, try the pistachio cake!

I tried their cookies and the beignet. The beignet was good nothing special. Their nutty chocolate chip was good plus I had the s'mores cookie very good. This cafe was cute nice decor. Good to sit down and relax. The people behind the counter were friendly.

It was a mixed bag. The chocolate chip cookie was dry, overcooked, and bland. It felt like a thin crunchy cookie but with the size of a big thick soft baked cookie. But without the concentration of the former or the chocolate decadence of the latter. The pistachio cake was inedibly dry. It was nearly sand. And the poor frosting could do nothing to redeem it. The pistachio pain au chocolat was Excellent. The cream was a little runny and liquid, rather than dense and thicker, but the flavors were really nice and the crumbled pistachios rather fun. It was hard to deal with the uneventful cookie especially after trying the same day one of the cookies at Levain bakery, which is served straight out of the oven, juicy, moist, flavorful and sensually full of chocolate. It just seemed like they didn't care much. The ambiance is really well designed tho.

I ordered a drink and two cookies. The cookies were terrible I don't understand the hype . They were burnt from one side , hard and without flavor. As for the drinks every time I was trying to order something from the menu the employee kept telling me oh no sorry we don't have that. I changed my order three different times.

So cute. Everything about this place is cute, I wish I could have gone pre covid. But I grab the pistachio croissant and it was was fire. It wasn't overly sweet and the cream inside was thick but not over spilling texture. I would come back here just for that.

Updating my review since the staff has been amazing during covid and they now carry decaf. I just wish there was more seating and that the outdoor space was as beautiful as the Soho one, hence the 4 stars. The outdoor space in Greenpoint is not cozy but it does the trick on a warm day.

This is a review for croissants! +4 stars for cuteness, menu offerings, atmosphere and location, location, location. -1 star for the croissants left exposed to the humid air. Humidity kills all croissants. People know me as the croissant crusher and on my visit to Brooklyn a friend recommended Maman. I said "bien sûr"! The croissant was delightfully buttery and flaky. They heated it up a bit, which I thought would counter act the humidity in the air. It probably did but the butter was so moist that it wasn't as flaky as I liked, but the basic gist was there for me to know this gets a thumbs up. Served on a cute little white and blue porcelain plate, I devoured the croissant in appx 43 seconds. The decor is a shabby chic and very rustic French. Servers are friendly and she didn't give me a hard time for bringing in a Starbucks cup. :) I'd love to come back.

It hurts when a place is worthy of 5 stars on the outside but when it actually comes down to it, they barely hit the 2 star point. I have a new building on Kent St I'm working at and while I was doing an open house I remembered there's a quaint restaurant up the block where I can grab food at. My friend and I hopped skipped and jumped over but when we entered we were so confused. First of all, they have no staff working there. Like one person behind the counter and when we finally found another person, she was running back and forth between outside tables and a huge party upstairs (which I was informed about after we had already ordered our food). So we sit down and scan the menu. We're quick decision makers so we knew what we wanted right away but of course there was no one to take our order. To the point that after 10 minutes of sitting there I went inside to find someone who said she'll be out in a moment. Great! She comes out and takes our order, we do tell her that we don't have much time and she's like no worries and goes back in. Half hour later she comes out and says it's going to take a little more time because they have a big party upstairs. I was quite furious as she should have informed us prior to ordering after she knew we didn't have a lot of time to lounge around. What can we do? We weren't going to get up so we waited roughly another 10 minutes and boom our food came out. I will say everything "looked" appeasing. We ordered the Waffle Iron Hashbrowns, Grand Mamans Grilled Chicken Couscous Tabouleh and a Make Your Own Omelette. The Waffle Iron Hashbrowns was quite interesting with smoked salmon, avocado and egg. I definitely enjoyed that. I would not recommend the couscous as it was super bland and had no substance. The Omelette was also pretty mediocre as it kind of looked like it had been beaten to death. Anyhow we eat super fast as we're already late and figure we'll run inside and pay. Nah man, they don't accept payment inside for outside diners. Ridiculous right? So I run around searching for the staff who took my order and tell her I must get going and again about 10 minutes later she comes out with the check and thankfully takes our payment on the spot through an iPad (probably the only smart thing at this restaurant). And out we go. It's a no from me.

I love Mamans, I really do. I have only been to their Nolita location but I was drawn to this storefront because of the beautiful flower display to find out...it was another Maman! But was sorely disappointed by their matcha latte. I essentially paid over $6 for light green milk. Which also took them FOREVER to make because their baristas were busy chit chatting. It was overall a very sad experience. The chocolate cookie however was delicious but I really don't know about $5 though. But I think this is what is to be expected from COVID.

Tried the pistachio chocolate croissant and the nutty chocolate chip cookie on a Friday morning. The croissant was gross - pastry cream inside is so saccharinely sweet that you cannot taste anything else. The pastry itself was soggy and dense...as if it was leftover from the day before. The cookie is raw on the inside but the edges were nicely crisp. Cute cafe with nice relaxed ambiance but I would not go back for the pastries.

This is most likely the best Maman location of them all in my personal opinion. They offer(ed) an upstairs area for Brunch, already had outdoor seating, and always had a nice atmosphere for dining. Let's talk about the pastries. All good. Every single one. I sometimes have a hard time deciding which one to have, it's insane. I would try the Chocolate chip cookies or pistachio loaf. I really don't have anything more to add right now, I like this place overall. I'm rarely in Greenpoint but cannot remember a time when I've been in the area and not stopped here. Sometimes I only come to Greenpoint for Maman. My wife is a huge fan, and it has transferred to me. Hope you enjoy ( Because come on now... why read my review if you did not plan on checking it out :D)

I just had a terrible parfait to go. Which was expensive and not tasting at all. 2 blackberries and 3 raspberries. I had had great almond croissants here but this parfait was very very disappointing.

Review is for the chocolate chip and s'mores cookies. The chocolate chip cookie I think may be better than Levain's. This might be true for you if you've ever had hyped up chocolate chip cookies and thought, "this is just a bigger / sweeter / more chocolatey regular chocolate chip cookie." Or been halfway through a 6oz mega-Levain cookie and felt, "man, this is just a little too sweet and sticky. I need another glass of milk / mug of coffee." Reason being, Maman's whole-nut chocolate chip cookie gives textural balance with the crunchiness of nuts without taking away from the chocolate focused experience of a chocolate chip cookie. The edge and top of the cookie are still crusted and golden, with a gooey center, but with the nuts to break it up. The s'mores are less outstanding, and fall into the category of just "sweet gooey satisfying goodness" rather than all that and something more. If you're in NYC and are choosing one cookie, I'd recommend the Maman chocolate chip over the Levain one, but the other Levain cookies over the Maman s'mores cookie.
