A Guide To LA Restaurants Going Viral On TikTok Right Now - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Verdict: Mamie makes a solid focaccia panini, but there’s no reason to wait in line for an hour on the weekend to get one. We like the sandwiches at Tre Mani and Bread Head even better, and the waits are much shorter. When Mamie opened in summer 2024, we were thrilled that LA’s focaccia sandwich craze had reached West Hollywood. The breezy, counter-service cafe at Fairfax and Santa Monica offers thick Roman-style pizza slices, various cold case salads, and tasty paninis that work for a quick lunch. The sandwiches are the biggest sellers here, made with imported meats and cheeses on buttery focaccia that crackles with every chomp. There are 18 varieties on the menu (including six vegetarian options) but for first-timers, we’d suggest the Monaco with tuna and Calabrian chiles, or the Cardinal with turkey, roasted tomato, melted comté, and artichoke cream." - sylvio martins, brant cox, nicolas zhou, cathy park

Mamie - Review - West Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Stuffing a big focaccia sandwich in your face is easier now than ever, thanks to places like Tre Mani, Lorenzo California, and All’Antico Vinaio. Mamie is contributing to the cause, particularly if you live or work near West Hollywood. This breezy, counter-service cafe at Fairfax and Santa Monica offers thick Roman-style pizza slices, various cold case salads, and paninis worth prioritizing. They’re made with imported meats and cheeses on crunchy, buttery focaccia that crackles with every chomp. Choosing one of the 18 sandwiches on the menu (including six vegetarian options) might give you vertigo, but we’d suggest the Monaco with tuna and Calabrian chiles, or the Cardinal with turkey, roasted tomato, melted comté, and artichoke cream." - Brant Cox

West Hollywood Italian Deli Mamie Makes LA’s Best Paninis | Eater LA

"To fully appreciate the schiacciata at Mamie, a five-month-old Italian sandwich shop in West Hollywood, you need to know that owner Mikael Choukroun handmakes the bread several times daily using his Italian grandmother’s recipe: a dough of equal parts water and flour fermented for 72 hours and kneaded similarly to focaccia but yielding a distinct crunchy crust and light, chewy center, with olive oil and flaky salt folded in repeatedly. The schiacciata provides the foundation for the panini and rectangular pizzas, and Choukroun sums up his relationship with the bread: "You can’t control the schiacciata. The schiacciata controls you." He selects D.O.P.-certified cured meats (prosciutto di Parma, mortadella, salame Toscana, bresaola, guanciale) and composes each sandwich with a single meat so its texture and flavor can shine, imports ingredients like artichoke hearts, stracciatella, and confited lemons from Italy while sourcing vegetables (wild mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini) from local farmers markets, and applies the same care to pizza toppings. Signatures include the Rosselini (salame Toscana, sautéed wild mushrooms, truffle cream, arugula), the Diva (mortadella, stracciatella, chopped pistachio, baby arugula), and the Cardinal (turkey with artichoke heart cream, oven-dried tomato, Comté, arugula), with house spreads such as gorgonzola dolce, pesto, crema di limon, and Calabrian spicy chile; there are also simple salads with warm schiacciata crostini and sometimes 48-hour marinated goat cheese, a coffee bar brewing Kimbo and offering Lurisia lemon and blood orange sodas, and a small market with Italian specialties like Gentile pasta and Cafona artichokes. Choukroun’s stated intention is to offer fine-dining quality ingredients in a casual, unpretentious, European-café–style setting where diners can sip frothy cappuccinos and absorb the pulse of the city." - Andrew Watman

You guys literally stop what you’re doing and go to this Italian Panini joint. I was literally just in Florence Italy and I had some of the best Panini‘s and I was so sad when I got back to the US because I was like how am I gonna get fresh ingredients from Italy and have amazing sandwiches with the focaccia that’s to die for. Well, my friend recommended this Italian Panini place and I’m like OK werk we have to go because I’m currently still in my European Italian Panini obsession phase. Anyways we go and when I heard all the ingredients were imported from Italy I actually was screaming inside because that’s literally all I can ask for: the healthiest ingredients from Europe. As you know, Europe uses the freshest ingredients there so I was so delighted to know that I was getting the freshness straight from the source. The Panini I got was the cardinal which contained turkey breast and artichoke cream and baby arugula, and some other ingredients but when I tell you, we melted when we took a bite of the sandwich. The sandwiches are such a good size to share with a friend, it filled my appetite so perfectly and I did not feel bloated afterwards. The workers and the atmosphere are exceptional and I cannot wait to return to this restaurant. I love a place that uses the freshest ingredients and always advocates for the best vibes and this restaurant is definitely that. 10 out of 10 would recommend💗💗🌷🌷

Google
I don’t get the bad reviews. I came from 3 hours away, First off, I understand the price because all the ingredients are so fresh and sooo high quality, on top of that everything is also house made. Hands down best sandwich EVER. all the ingredients combined so well the cashiers were so nice and the bread is delightful! Super crispy!! Mamie lives up to the hype and deserves it. Also it is a big sandwich… shareable for 2..definitely look forward to coming back next time I’m in Los Angeles!

Went to Mamie’s Italian Kitchen in West Hollywood yesterday on my own little solo trip, and honestly - wow. I ordered some of their popular sandwiches: the Viale di Parma, Verona, and Di Parma. Every single one was incredible. The presentation, the smell, that first bite… drool-worthy. So fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The staff were super nice, helpful, and just had great energy overall. Everything’s to-go, but they do have tables both inside and out. It’s definitely busy no matter what time you go, so luck plays a role - but if you snag a seat, it’s worth it. I got lucky and sat outside on the terrace with my Di Parma, which felt like the perfect moment for a solo meal. I could only eat half of it (they’re huge!) and saved the rest — along with the other two sandwiches — for later that night while watching Game 7 of the World Series (which the Dodgers won, go blue!). If you’re in LA or West Hollywood and want amazing Italian sandwiches that hit all the senses, Mamie’s is a must.

Google
These sandwiches are amazing! I’ve been here twice already and I can’t wait to go back and try more. That’s the real testament of great food. The focaccia bread which is made daily is some of the best I’ve had. It’s slightly crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside with just a sprinkling of sea salt on top. I really wished they sold just the bread. But you have to get it in sandwich form which you can’t really go wrong with. All of the ingredients are so fresh, from the freshly shaved meats, to the rich and creamy cheese to the peppery arugula. I always think I’m going to eat half but then up eating the whole thing cause it’s best to eat them fresh. This is probably one of my favorite spots for large foccacia sandwiches and there are plenty of chose from in LA!

Google
It was our first time going to Mamie’s and we LOVED it! I highly recommend the turkey sandwich and add spicy red sauce. And their Canelé’s are in my top 3 I’ve ever had. Mine was filled with jam, which was sooo good. We will definitely be back soon :)

Google
Always consistently delicious sandwiches! The crunchy exterior, yet delicate lightness of the bread, piled high with deliciously high quality ingredients. A flavor explosion of spicy arugula and eggplant, savory ham and umami mushrooms. Get the Colucci sandwich! The Di Parma is also delicious, but I think the Colucci has more depth of flavor. Parking here can be difficult but a must try!

Google
The most AMAZING sandwich ever! We had the “Di Parma” and it was MAJESTIC. The bread had the dreamiest crunch and was perfectly topped with sea salt flakes on top. The ingredients are to die for. They could not have come up with a better combination with this sandwich. It’s a masterpiece!! We even grabbed two more for our flight back home to Texas. I cant wait to be back in LA! Mamie sandwich, please stay in business forever…!! 🤍 We’ll see you soon!!

Google
The best Tuna Sandwich I have ever eaten anywhere. Also my wife got the Caprese and it was so bomb! The bread is crispy, flavorful yet light and the ingredients transport you to a small town in Italy. Love it!

Yelp
Mamie is bustling and busy--and I'm sure it's not just because of the hype. Though their sandwiches are slightly on the more expensive side, they were mouthwatering and unforgettable. I ordered the Viale Di Parma and wow. Fig jam, 18-month aged prosciutto, gorgonzola cheese and baby arugula nestled in freshly-baked schiacciata bread rocked my world. The chopped pistachios in the sandwich elevated the taste and texture too. It's been a few days since I ate here and I'm still thinking about this sandwich! My boyfriend ordered the Viale Di Guanciale, which is very similar to the Di Parma, but with a different meat instead. As expected, it also tasted flavorful. Though we took our order to-go this time around, I am excited to come back to test out their dine-in experience. The staff are so friendly and from the small amount of time I was there the live music was a vibe. Truly fantastic!

Yelp
First and foremost it's a Panini S Molto Bene e Non Bene Parking. One, maybe two street, metered street parking spots might be available. Don't count on it - SouthWest corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Fairfax Ave. A very busy corner with cars, pedestrians, bus riders (3 popular bus lines serve that corner.) If you &/or your eating companion decide to 'Uber-it' (the brand name proper noun is now a common, umbrella moniker acting like a verb used for any ride share company still in business. You'll need to order molti panini to amortize the outrageous, triple the price from last years rate. Walk to Mamie; you'll be eating really good bread.

Yelp
when your sister texts you and says that the next time you're down visiting she'll take you here, you look at reviews and set your watch to your next lax visit. then you cruise through the streets of your childhood and youth marveling at things that look the same and most that you don't even recognize anymore until you get to the corner of fairfax and santa monica blvd and you steel yourself for what's about to happen. luckily we walked in before the lunch rush to no line and some amazing views behind the glass partition. we ordered one vegetarian and one vegan sandwich and sat outside. i could tell i was in for a mind blowing experience. it's the burrata and the pistachio crunch along with the arugula and every other topping on virtually anything you choose from the menu. i seriously don't think there's a way to go wrong here. and there's so many options that one visit doesn't seem enough to do this place justice. the focaccia was extra crispy today and that texture combined with the additional ingredients on the sandwich was beyond what i'd even anticipated. they obviously have a huge social media/yelp following but it's 100% justified in my opinion. super flavorful, super satisfying and a place you're probably going to want to return to (or at least dream of!) once you've wiped your hands and walked away after that final bite.

Yelp
Wow lived up to the hype. We have visited Italy many times and this sandwich is better than any we have had in Italy. Freshly made focaccia with fresh ingredients. De Parma was amazing with the pesto, prosciutto and burrata complimenting each other perfectly. The pistachios added a nice crunch. Service was friendly and quick and they had plenty of seating inside and outside.

Yelp
I stopped by here after a special event and was blown away. Some places are overhyped but this place is not. I dream about the bread still. It's perfectly crisp and light and salty all at the same time. It was by far the highlight for all of us. I'm a vegetarian and there were several options for me. I tried the capriccio and it was great. The sandwich was pretty big so we all saved the other half and had it for lunch the next day. The chocolate pie was good but very, very rich. We each had a bite or two and no more - so I highly recommend sharing. It was cool to see the bread being baked in front of us too. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
So glad to see a restaurant that appears to be thriving on this busy intersection in West Hollywood. When Mamie first opened there were very long lines to get in. The influence of TikTok is truly amazing, but is the food really that good? Came here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend about an hour before closing. The place was pretty busy but not crazy busy. The order line was moving quickly. We each ordered a sandwich with a bag of chips and a bottle of water. Just over $50 including gratuity. We received a number and found an inside table. Our sandwiches arrived within ten minutes and wrapped nicely in butchers paper. I ordered the Cardinal and my friend had the Caprese. See menu for description of sandwiches. They both were very fresh and tasty. The in-house made bread was buttery in taste and crunchy. Really good bread. My friends sandwich was vegetarian, and mine came with turkey. My only complaint is the small serving of turkey in my sandwich. A little less arugula and little more turkey would have been perfect. My friend loved his sandwich. We'll definitely come back and hope this restaurant sticks around for the long term. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is very clean and has a good energy to it. Indoor and outdoor dining. This place gets really busy on weekends and early afternoons daily. Open 11a to 5p daily. Street parking only on Santa Monica Boulevard or Fairfax Avenue.

Yelp
Mamie is so delicious and easy for lunch. The service is great too and Neex especially was super sweet and helpful. The ambiance is bright and open, with plenty of room to sit -- both inside and outside. They have imported goods to take away and try from Italy, treats, snacks, & drinks. I've put multiple people onto this place, and they love it!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my sandwich here!! I stole by on a whim and got their most popular sandwich. The people were kind, the space has an Italian deli feel, and the sandwich was crispy and chewy and salty and delicious. Kinda pricey, especially since the sandwich wasn't terribly big, but I'll give it another try and see what else they have, soon.

Yelp
Best panini/sandwich in all of SoCal!!! Stopped by to grab a quick bite. Ordered the di Parma (owner said this was one if the fan favorites) and also decided to try a vegetarian option so chose the Capriccio to share. OMG they were phenomenal!!! Di Parm-My favorite EVER!!! Generous amount of prosciutto 18 month aged, fresh/creamy burrata, truffled cream, pesto, baby arugula, and chopped pistachio (the pistachio bites made the sandwich!!!!!). The pistachio just added a slight nutty flavor to it which I absolutely loved. Such a great touch!!!!!!! Capriccio-Creamy Italian burrata, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted bell peppers, pesto, baby arugula, and of course chopped pistachio bites. Another fantastic choice. This place was just a gem. Highly recommend to anyone in town. They had just opened 15 minutes before we arrived, but there was already a small line, about 5 people waiting for their orders, and of course uber/doordash orders. Very busy and I can see why.

Yelp
Come for: honestly, any sandwich Know that: can get pretty busy around lunchtime I came on a Sunday morning and couldn't have been happier. My wait wasn't long, about 15 mins from arrival to sandwich. But I did see a like start to form around 12 pm. Service was very friendly and ordering at the register was easy. The hardest part will be choosing which sandwich out of the many great options you want. I went with the Viale di parma and the di parma. The Viale cost about $7 less and I have to say, I enjoyed both about the same - a lot. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious with the bread taking center stage. Crispy but soft, literally the perfect sandwich bread. The Viale had a fig component to give a sweetness that I really liked, while the di parma was more savory. My one wish was that they gave a little bit more prosciutto as some of the other ingredients, especially the vegetables masked some of that amazing prosciutto taste. Ambiance of the place is like an Italian cafe - chill vibes. Outdoor patio was nice but gets full really quick. Overall, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Highly recommend coming and ordering. Well worth the wait!

Yelp
OK if you're looking for a Tuscan sandwich shop style sandwich, this is pretty dang authentic. Loved the cardinal and caprese and both are great. The focaccia bread was unreal so light flaky and fresh. Full disclosure, I ordered for delivery and even from 10 miles away, these were delicious.
google avatar

Jenae S.

Yelp
Lord have mercy that sandwich was so damn good. If I wasn't a big back, I would have had the second half for later or share (so good size) The Bread is crunchy yet soft. There's a little bit of salt on the top, which I think is fantastic, however, I did have prosciutto which made it ever so slightly salty combining those two. I had the Parm Di? The one with prosciutto and pesto and burrata. Holy smokes that was bomb. Were those pine nuts?! Random but I liked I happened to be visiting the valley, so I made a point to drive here on my way home. I can see myself making a special trip 40 minutes just to try another sandwich it was that good.
google avatar

Yelp
If you want a true taste of Italian authenticity you've found it. The sandwiches here are unmatched from any other LA Italian spot. The business on any day of the week during the lunch hour is a testament to how popular--and for good reason--this locale is! The tall ceilings, beautifully displayed foods, and naturally flooded light give Mamie a true Italian market feel that honestly is like no other in the area. The energy and vibe is a buzz. If it's your first time here, I'd highly recommend the Viale di Parma. They've perfected the flavor pairings of each ingredient that goes into this delectable sandwich. The focaccia deserves to be its own food group!
google avatar

Marc S.

Yelp
This place is SO good. We always order two sandwiches: the Riccione and the Eros. They were basically perfection. The bread is flavorful and really tasty. The aged prosciutto is divine and the portions are quite big enough to share. (I usually eat half and save the rest for lunch the next day.) Can't talk about the service as we always order online and run in to pick it up. They are always busy! No parking though so be prepared for that.. There are a couple sandwich shops selling VERY similar sandwiches but Mamie is simply better than the rest. Try it and beware because you'll never go anywhere else. Go here and thank me later.
google avatar

Kye B.

Yelp
Yes it's basically just a sandwich shop run by fun Italian dudes (or so or seems) but considering their bread is NEXT LEVEL that means every sandwich is its own heaven. The location is awesome, right on the corner of Fairfax and Santa Monica Blvd., and it's a very open aired kinda place. They also have great sides and soft drinks. Of you want something both quick and hearty, see (Miss) Mamie.
google avatar

Peter H.

Yelp
Their Italian panini's are SO good! I'm so happy we got to try this place. It seems their volume is so high that they are constantly baking more bread for their sandwiches. Apparently they spend a lot of time making their panini. 72 hours of slow fermentation before it goes into the oven apparently! When you try it, you'll understand. It is otherwise a very busy place. There was a line that constantly stretched to the door. The inside can sometimes feel a little smoky from the baking but we got used to it. We go the Viale di Parma and the Cardinal. Both were awesome. They tasted wonderful and I'd get them both again. The bread was a little on the oily side but it was only noticed by my friend (I was too busy chowing down). Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Food: 4.7/5 Service: 4.5/5 Value: 4.4/5 What a cute sandwich shop! The forest green helps create a comforting ambiance. There's a couple spots to dine inside and out but not that many tables considering how many people came in and out while we were there. However, it seemed like most people take it to go so you might be able to snag a spot! We ended up splitting two sandwiches between 2 people, the Viale de Parma and Eros. I really enjoyed both of them, but personally preferred the Viale de Parma. The fig jam on the Viale really made a huge difference in providing a nice contrast between the pistachio and guanciale. When eating the Eros as a whole, all the flavors were really great, but very 1-dimensional. I wish the eggplant provided a contrast of some type, but otherwise a wonderful sandwich! My only complaint is that a sandwich for ~$20 just feels really expensive, which is why the value score is a bit lower. Would definitely recommend anyone to stop by and grab a taste of Italy!
google avatar

Reyna J.

Yelp
These sandwiches were delightful! We got the Claudio and the Eros. The Eros is definitely for the salt lovers but overall quite good. The Claudio was delicious! A bit pricey, but would certainly go back.
google avatar

Anthony K.

Yelp
total sandwich bliss. Crispy, pillowy bread stuffed with flavor packed goodies and fancy spreads makes every bite unforgettable. Limited seating inside a lnd parking's a nightmare, it's worth circling the block like a determined foodie.
google avatar

Brian V.

Yelp
The specialty here are Tuscan/Florentine style paninis that are served on schiacciata bread. The dough for this bread is allowed to ferment for over 72 hours and you can tell they use really high quality ingredients here. In addition to their sandwiches, they serve other food items, such as pizza and they also serve up great coffee drinks. I wish I could talk about the other food items more, but when I visited, I knew that I wanted one of their sandwiches... and a cappuccino. I ended up ordering the Di Parma. Once I saw the 18 month aged prosciutto and buratta, I knew I had to order it. Mind you it's not a cheap sandwich, but it's so tasty and they're definitely working with some costly, high quality ingredients. The ratio (bread to ingredient), flavors, and textures were all working in unison to make a great sandwich that I thoroughly enjoyed. The coffee was great as well. The place is not huge, but there's some seating inside and outside. It can get pretty busy early in the day on the weekends, which is when I went. I kind of beat the crowd because I was able to get a seat right away and the line just kept getting longer while I was enjoying my food. Definitely a gem of a sandwich shop in the neighborhood of West Hollywood.

Yelp
I'm not familiar with the Italian sandwich game, but damn Mamie got me feeling some type way! My friend, who did study abroad in Italy, recommend me to try this place out and I'm so glad we did! I still thinking about that sandwich and want to come back for another one so bad! There was a lot of options to choose from, but the staff recommended us the #1 Viale Di Parma, so we ended up trying that. I was blown away by how balance of flavors it has! The fig jam WAS EVERYTHING!! It added the much needed sweetness to the sandwich! The chopped pistachios added wonderful texture and the arugula added so much freshness. The bread was toasted to perfection. 10/10 across the board for me! We also tried their matcha canele! The staff offer to heated it up for us, so it was warm and ở custardie inside! They have other flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and apricot! I truly regret not getting another flavor to try! The staff were so friendly and welcoming to us! They answered our many questions and gave recommendations, even check up on us after if we like the sandwich! There were a lot seatings both inside and outside! The glass counter that showcase all the fresh ingredients was so cool! We went during lunch hours, but the line move so fast and we got our food pretty quick! Overall 100% recommend, as I will def come back soon!

Yelp
I can't say I know much about Italian food, but I do know when food tastes good! I kept seeing this spot all over TikTok and Instagram, so I decided to stop by on a Saturday. The line was out the door but moved quickly (about 10-15 minutes), and you could watch a whole crew of workers making sandwiches; it smelled heavenly inside! Seating is limited indoors, with a bit more available outside. What we tried: Viale Di Parma: 9/10 Di Parma: 10/10 My partner and I split both, and the first bite had us looking at each other with wide eyes. It was THAT good. Paired with a fresh mole cola for a refreshing palette cleanser. The price of the sandwich is definitely steep, but I have never tasted anything quite like it. I especially loved the burrata + pesto combo in the Di Parma. Absolutely divine. Street parking nearby!
google avatar

Ashley V.

Yelp
one of the most delicious sandwiches I've had !! you can taste how fresh the ingredients. the sandwich wasn't too heavy and it's big enough to split with someone. it's forsure on the pricier side for a sandwich but hearing about where the ingredients are sourced from, it justifies the pricing. the service was great. defs recommend checking out this spot if you're looking for a fancier sandwich spot
google avatar

Jorena L.

Yelp
Not the biggest fan of sandwiches, but Mamie delivered! We got the Viale Di Parma and Di Parma. The bread is fantastic. Crispy on the outside while still maintaining a soft fluffy texture. The Viale is definitely on the sweeter side from the fig jam while the Di Parma is very savory. I liked having both as a balance. The crunch of the pistachios is a lovely added texture. The only thing is that $27 for a sandwich is diabolical.

Yelp
One of the best caprese focaccia panini I ever had here in West LA. My cousin took me here while I was visiting family, I'm so glad he did. They bake fresh focaccia daily and their paninis are pretty hearty. They have several different types, my cousin got the Diparma, which is prosciutto, barata, fresh pesto, truffled cream and chopped up pistachios. I mean, who does that? I took a bite, It was just amazing. Yes they make their own pesto as well. My caprese had roasted tomatoes and fresh mozzarella with arugula and also crushed up pesto and pine nuts, I had a moment when I took my first bite. You get your panini pretty quick. The place is on the small side but it's worth a visit for sure. I had to take half my panini to go because even half was huge. PRICEY though, my caprese was $16, not bad really for the size and quality, BUT my cousins Diparma was almost $30! Wow, I forgot how California prices can be pretty shocking.

Yelp
I love sandwiches, frankly I'm a bit of a sandwich snob... I've had a lot of sandwiches. This is BY FAR the best sandwich I have ever had. I stopped in when visiting LA - I have been wanting to try Mamie for some time, a result of my affinity for sandwiches and a TikTok Jack's Dining Room posted last year. Absolutely fantastic sandwich. Excellent packaging. Friendly staff. Beautiful restaurant.
google avatar

Sydni K.

Yelp
My friend and I shared the di parma sandwich. This was one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. The focaccia bread was perfectly toasted and salted. The outside had a nice crisp to it, while the inside of the bread had a good amount of fluffiness. The pistachios and fig jam added a nice touch to the sandwich. I loved the sweet savory combo. The arugula was crunchy and fresh. And the mozzarella and meat tied everything together to make the sandwich complete. We were spending the day exploring the area, so we found street parking nearby. There were a handful of seats inside, that got full during lunchtime. There were also lots of tables outside, but it was unbearably hot in LA this day. I would definitely recommend getting a sandwich from here!

Yelp
I had my doubts about this... another sandwich shop... BUT... The flavors are definitely packin in their sandwiches! I had the Monaco (tuna) and the Diva (mortadella) and yoooooo both were so good. Definitely top notch sandwiches! And they make the sandwiches in front of you so you know it's clean! The focaccia bread they use is so light; this is how a sandwich bread should be! Legit Plus the staff is so nice

Yelp
These are, no joke, the best Italian sandwiches in LA. The focaccia is unreal and melts in your mouth while still being substantial enough to act as the backbone for the sandwich. Ingredients are top notch and thoughtfully put together. Don't even think about it just GO

Yelp
I had the Viale Di Parma, and loved every bite! OMG! The fig jam, crema di gorgonzola, and prosciutto combine wonderfully, and their fresh baked schiacciata bread is terrific. I want to come back enough times to eventually try the whole menu. Service was prompt, ambience was busy, but calm.

Yelp
The Best! Yea, I said it. There is no other Italian panini shop around that makes a better sandwich. I'll go as far to say that they are hard to beat in any sandwich category. I've been three times now and tried three different ones. Each was unique and in spite of the multi layers of toppings and meats each one has, the individual ingredients shine through, none overwhelmed, each one the finest quality, blending so well together. From their homemade foccacia to the imported and/or house made ingredients, everything is perfection. With a crispy crunchy bread crust and a soft crumb inside to pillow the ingredients, fantastic quality is the overarching feature of their product. They also have what look like great desserts but I will slowly work my way through the vast sandwich list first. Luckily I am not that close by, or would be hard to resist going weekly. Also great to share - I weighed mine and it was just over 1 lb, so enough for 2 people, not called me : ) The roughly $20 price for them is par for the course these days, and with the veggies stuffed in there, a healthy choice.

Yelp
I left Mamie feeling as if I'd been wrapped in a warm comforting embrace. This place is a true gem. The wonderful West Hollywood vibe the shop exuded was just too vibrant for what I'd always assumed was a standard LA corner lunch spot. What set Mamie apart was the incredibly attentive and genuinely loving staff. Every person behind the counter seemed dedicated to ensuring a comfortable experience. It was genuine care. They anticipated needs with a palpable sense of pride. This level of personalized attention is rare and utterly refreshing from a sandwich shop. The simple things often make the deepest impression and at Mamie this was certainly the case with their bread. Their warm freshly baked bread had a perfectly crisp crust giving way to a soft airy interior. The nooks and crannies were wonderfully comforting. Every bite felt like a gentle culinary hug that was a testament to the shop's dedication to quality. Mamie is more than just an Italian sandwich shop. It's a sanctuary where the food is delicious and the service is delivered straight from the heart.

Yelp
The panini exceeded my expectations!!! A quartet of savory and sweet. Not to mention a beautiful day to visit LA... I live 26 miles from this eatery. So, I needed this to be good. It is abundantly good. The service was quick. I had a ginger soft drink. It paired well with the panini.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch with my son. Ordered 4 sandwiches total (2 to go) and enjoyed every single one. There are a couple of direct competitors to this gourmet Italian style sandwich shop that we will have to try and compare. My teen son is finally starting to expand his palette and said his Di Parma was one of the best sandwiches he's had. Service was fast. Will def be coming back.

Yelp
The bread itself was delicious! Line moves fast the guys in there work quick! I forgot what we got but each and every ingredient was special. Felt very authentic and italian also. The bread, cold cuts, fresh greens, drizzled in olive oil and slices of amazing cheese. These guys got it down! Felt like a florence experience in weho! would definitely go back wish they sold the bread itself, I'd go there just to buy that! Ambiance is fun everyone in a amazing mood. Wish they sold some wine, probably would've enjoyed a day wine with the sammie.

Yelp
Found this place from an Instagram reel and came with my family & a friend. Let me tell you it was the best sandwich I've ever had. I got the Verona and added an artichoke spread. The ingredients tasted so fresh and their house-made schiacciata bread, absolutely divine. We often think about this sandwhich and reminisce on how good it was. I'm heartbroken that I cannot have this sandwhich every day (I live in OC, so if you wanna open second location you have a guarenteed customer). The chips they have were also so good! I found that you can get them at the World Market so I will be on the hunt for them now. Sandwhich was on the pricier side. I think mine was $20, but it's LA so and it was good that I don't care. Completely worth it in my opion. Overall his place was a big hit with us and I will definitely be back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
This place just didn't quite do it for me. I loved walking into the store and getting hit with that insanely amazing aroma of the fresh focaccia constantly coming out of the oven. Line went by fairly fast but the one cashier is incredibly rude and has horrible customer service. I didn't get her name but she was the only black female working at the time I went in. No greeting, no "how are you", not even asking if I wanted anything else. And while waiting for my sandwich, she was the same towards everyone. Half the time she just stood there without acknowledging anyone so you didn't even know if you could order yet. Another big issue - no A/C. It was hot in LA. But it was even hotter inside Mamie. All the outdoor tables were taken so I was COOKING inside while eating. I had to eat that sandwich fast because I was just sweating through my clothes. I ordered the Rimini ($21) which had Porchetta, crema di gorgonzola, truffled cream, spicy roasted eggplant, baby arugula. The focaccia is the highlight by far. I would buy just the focaccia alone. But the rest of the sandwich is just okay. The porchetta was thinly sliced and savory but so little of it that you almost couldn't taste it. The eggplants were rubbery, chewy, and bitter. The cheeses were creamy, light, and refreshing. The arugular was fresh. But overall, the sandwich just didn't quite make me feel like wanting to come back.

Yelp
The experience was lovely. Service was quick. The young lady who took my order, Dorthy, guided me through the menu and was so friendly and patient. The Schiacciata was perfect. My sandwich was shareable but I shamelessly gobbled both halves as I drove down LaBrea. I also ordered the rustic pear tarte. At least I think it was pear. Whatever it was, it was divine.

Yelp
Kinda just alright. My bf and I were in town and needed to find lunch before an appt in town. We've tried Al'Antico Vinaio and wanted to try other places that might be similar. I ordered ahead and online and it was a good thing I did. The line was soooo long when I got there to pick it up which was really reassuring. My bf and I ordered semi similar sandwiches. The rimini and vespa are quite similar, but the rimini has some spiciness to it. But really not much. While the ingredients tasted quite fresh and the textures were great, the flavor was quite lacking. The creams and sauces involved definitely needed more substance to them because I feel fresh ingredients alone don't make this worth an hour long drive and $20 per sandwich. However, I did like the combination of ingredients. I'd like to get them again or try a different one, or maybe add some chili oil to some of these.

Yelp
Mamie was unlike any other sandwich shop I've ever visited. I saw it on my tik tok and just had to come for a visit. When I ordered, I asked which was more popular out of the Viale di Parma, or the Viale di Guanciale. Out of the two, the Viale di Parma was more popular. The Viale di Parma comes with Proscuitto Di Parma 18 month, fig jam, crema di gorgonzola, chopped pistachio, and baby arugula. It is pretty pricey for a sandwich but I must say the concoction of all the ingredients made it incredibly worth while. Whenever I ordered sandwiches in general, I will usually save half of it for later, and in this case I scarfed the di Parma down in less then 10 minutes. I can't recommend this sandwich enough!!

Yelp
By far my favorite Italian sandwich. I'm the biggest hype killer but this place is legit. From the focaccia to the truffled cream, you feel the effort and love to create the best sandwich known to mankind. The Di Parma is worth the $27 for sure. You get prosciutto di parma 18 month, Italian burrata, fresh pesto, truffled cream, chopped pistachio, baby arugula. Let me tell you calling it a masterpiece is an understatement. All the ingredients mesh perfectly together. I have yet to find a sandwich as good. The restaurant is very nice but has limited seating. And the staff is committed to be great.

Yelp
So good! I love the ability to order online and pickup since the lines here can be long. We grabbed the Di Parma Panini and Classic Tiramisu. The sandwich was fantastic; loved the bread, spreads and greens. We'll be back to try some others.

Yelp
Mama Mia!!! Wow the balance of textures and flavors in the DI PARMA is phenomenal. The ratio and quality of each ingredient was perfect. I felt different flavors coming through with each bite, which I truly enjoyed. It was one deep sandwich and I would deem it one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Feels like a small cafe in the villages of Italy! Even some of the workers were Italian. It's a small to go style shop so indoor seating is limited and the sandwich was $27 which is pricey. But for the experience it was worth it!

Yelp
You don't have to fly to Italy to experience a true Italian panini sandwich. Mamie delivers a perfect Italian sandwich. I had the Di Parma. The focaccia bread is crispy, buttery and slightly salty on the outside and soft in the middle. The saltiness of the prosciutto, paired with the creamy burrata cheese with the peppery arugula and the earthiness of the pesto, The pistachios to give the sandwich some nuttiness and texture and the truffle cream just completes the sandwich. They have an array of Italian sodas. The sandwiches are huge. I ate half for lunch and the last half for dinner. We ordered online and when we arrived our sandwiches were ready. There were maybe 15 people in line, but we just went to the cashier and picked up our order. A few tables on the patio and maybe 4 tables inside. I will definitely comeback to try more food.

Yelp
OMG! THE. BEST. SANDWICHES!!!!! My husband and I tried this place for lunch recently. They make the most delicious Italian sandwiches I've ever had and you can watch them put together your sandwich with their fresh ingredients. It's casual counter-order style with a few tables indoors and outdoors. I tried the Viale di Parma sandwich which has Prosciutto Di Parma 18 month, fig jam, crema di gorgonzola, chopped pistachio, and baby arugula. It was SOOOO good--amazingly perfectly balanced. The saltiness and fattiness of the prosciutto juxtaposed with the nutty crunchiness of the pistachios, the freshness and slight bitterness of the arugula, the sweetness of the fig jam, the creamy and slightly sharp cheese, wrapped in their freshly baked schiacciata bread made up the most perfect sandwich. I will always have cravings for this sandwich!! Even though it was pricey at $20 (which I think is a lot for a sandwich!), it was totally worth it. I would definitely make the drive to come here again. Truly, the star here is their unique bread. Their freshly baked schiacciata bread made from allowing their dough to slowly ferment for over 72 hours is what makes the sandwiches extra superb. You can buy their bread separately as well. They also sell imported Italian drinks/sodas and chips here, which really makes for an authenic Italian experience, almost as if you got whisked away to Italy for a meal. Parking: street/meter

Yelp
Ordered delivery from this sandwich shop and got the Bella, and honestly, it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! I can't speak to the atmosphere or in-store service since I didn't go in person, but the food was amazing. The ingredients tasted super fresh, the bread had the perfect balance of crunch and softness, and the flavors were layered in a way that actually felt thoughtful. I'll definitely be ordering again!

Yelp
Lives up to the hype of a great sandwich! It's a little pricey but I felt that the ingredients in each sandwich were intentional, and the flavors complemented each other very well! Service was alright, they did bring us our sandwich to the patio so that was nice! I got the Di Parma and the Eros. I would highly recommend the Di Parma, maybe not the Eros just because it didn't have a wow factor. I also recommend adding fig jam to the Di Parma, it made it even better and adds a balancing element to the heartiness of the sandwich!

Yelp
We got lucky! No line!! Apparently you can wait for hours. Walked right in ! They were super helpful with answering questions and helping us choose. The counter overlooks all the food like through a deli counter. We could see the fresh toppings and veggies. To the side they were making the focaccia bread. Best focaccia I've ever had! Crispy on the outside and the inside was soft. Basic without conflicting flavors. Amazing. The sandwiches were all so tasty. I wanted an authentic sandwich but I don't like Gorgonzola cheese so they substituted for me. Fig jam and prosciutto mmmm sweet and salty! Fresh arugula. The bresaola was salty and flavorful, paired with sun dried tomato I think next time I'm going to have the cardinale with the fig. It's expensive ~about $20 a sandwich but it's reaaally delicious!! It's a chic corner spot, with indoor & outdoor tables. Looks like a good location to meet friends. 100% recommended!!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Mamie's for weeks now and I'm so glad I finally got to go! My friend recommended we order ahead for pickup because it can get pretty busy. I don't think the wait would have been too long but ordering online was the easiest option. We got the most expensive sandwich, the Di Parma, and the Savoy sandwich and both were delicious. The Di Parma was by far the winner!! Every single ingredient was spot on and fresh, we couldn't stop eating it. I was a huge fan of the whole pistachios in the sandwich. It added such a fun texture and the saltiness of the meat with the mild flavor of the cheese was so so good. The savoy was a little on the saltier side with its meat and cheese but it was still really good. The arugula added a peppery element and balanced out saltiness of the other ingredients. You can tell they put a lot of thought into each individual ingredient and how they are paired with one another. Overall, these were pretty pricey but definitely worth trying. If they were a little cheaper, I'd be back wayyy more often. Still, I'd be willing to splurge for the Di Parma again and there are other menu items I want to try so I'll be back for sure!
