Mamma Mia's Italian Pizzeria

I try to refrain from leaving negative reviews, but this is the SECOND time I am dealing with the SAME issue. I bought a piece of Cheesecake tonight and the date written on the container is 10/13. Today is October 23rd. That means the restaurant is serving Cheesecake that is 10 days old. I wouldn’t say anything, but this has happened twice now, and customers could get sick. I knew the dessert tasted off and that’s when I realized that once again, they were serving old food. It’s a safety concern at this point and I’ll be calling first thing in the morning.

We are a large business that frequents this establishment for lunch, and often order for delivery or pickup for our large business meetings. Today was a 20 person meeting and I ordered early via their “toast” app. Even called in once they opened to confirm the order. Lady was super sweet, assuring me it would be ready on time. Everything was exactly right !!! Food was delicious and the Uber girl that delivered it was also very sweet !!! Thank you once again Mama Mia’s for a wonderful experience and delicious food!!! My sister and I went to Mamma Mia's pizza and we both give it a 10 out of 10. The food was flavorful, the service was on point. We will definitely be going back. I had the chicken parmigiana, she had the lasagna each meal had a side salad. The garlic bread was soft and tasted wonderful. We shared bacon and cheese fries.

We were looking for a new place to try. I literally said, “No one goes to Wallburg for pizza!” I was wrong. It was delicious. The garlic knots swimming in garlic butter were my favorite! I will be back to Mama Mia’s!

The chicken parmigiana was great and the garlic knots were amazing! Prices are very reasonable also. I will definitely be back.

I love their buffalo wings! Usually get them when my nephews visit. Subs and pizza good too. Staff is nice and wait time is not too long. Definitely a place to consider for lunch/dinner

Great place to eat lunch or dinner. It was 8 of us and we found a long table right away. Food was superb, and the service just as excellent. Some of the tables are a tad bit too close to the others, putting chairs a little tight, but I'm sure that's something that they can improve on. Some of us got soda not knowing we only ordered free water & i tried to pay for the 3 sodas and they were very gracious and said not to worry about it. I'll go back there anytime. 👍👍

The pizza is some of the best around. You can get big NY Style pieces by the slice. I had the luck special meatball two slices with a drink for $6.99. You can't beat that, and you won't find a better pizza place around. I highly recommend!

Stopped by here for lunch and got the special that day. It was absolutely amazing and way more than either of us could eat. Highly recommend giving it a try if you are in the area.

I was in tbe area working and looked for some place to have lunch. When this place popped up I knew I had to visit, because the first review that came up was my friend, coworker and fellow ELITE Yelper, Amy B. who passed in June. We used to chat about the great places we've tried and had that love for food in common. It was as if she was saying from heaven "you HAVE to try it!" The shrimp Alfredo had such a great cheesy flavor with the shrimp nice and tender. Thanks, "Aim"!

The Parmesan chicken sub was amazing--packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The bacon cheese fries, however, were a letdown. Some of the fries were soggy, and overall they didn't live up to expectations. We ordered them as an appetizer but ended up getting them last, after our salad and the shared sub. On a positive note, their ranch dressing was really good and paired well with everything.

I stopped in here for lunch, this was my first visit. This is a small place where you order at the register, grab a seat, they at least will bring the food to you. This is a rather shabby place, dim, not particularly inviting! I order their Classic Stromboli ($10.29) and the Italian Sub ($9 and cents). Order took about 20 minutes, picked it up, moved on. Both items were ordinary, at best. In fact the Stromboli was overcooked and under filled, and what it was filled with was unremarkable! I see no reason to return! This is a great little family-style Italian Restaurant in Davidson County. You order at the counter and then your order is delivered to your table. If you want alcohol, the restaurant is BYOB. I ordered the side Caesar salad and the Spaghetti and Meatballs. My meal was very flavorful! And, prices are very affordable!

Food is so fresh, the salad is crispy, and the cake was very moist! Service was so quick, and every one was extremely nice! 10/10 recommend coming here for lunch or dinner!

We have ate here a few times with the office and once on the weekend. The chicken Alfredo wasn't anything to write home about. They didn't have pickles with their subs which I thought was odd. Their cheesesteak sub was sloppy. Their staff was friendly but it just wasn't our favorite place to go. My son LOVED the pizza. Mostly because it was "bigger than his head," he said. Doesn't take much to make him happy though.

Mamma Mia's is a great little Italian place when you're craving pizza, pasta or subs. We have enjoyed their pizza every visit and their pasta is good as well. The chicken fettuccini Alfredo is great and my daughters both love the spaghetti and meatballs. Servings sizes are large and we always have leftovers. This is a very causal place, great for midday lunch or going with the kids. You order when you go in at the register and then the food is brought to your table. Drinks are self refill. I wouldn't say this is authentic Italian but it is delicious & satisfies the Italian craving when it hits!

They have made some renovations and it looks nicer. Looks like they have a drive thru now. The Grilled Chicken Caesar salad was delicious. Plenty of chicken and toppings. The dressing was delicious. The boys had a pizza and they seemed to really love it ni tried a few bites and didn't like the taste of the sauce. Nevertheless the boys wiped it out. The ordering of situation and service is kinda odd. You order at the counter and get your own drinks. They occasionally come around and ask if you need anything. Still a decent place pizza and other stuff. Deserts looked good. The boys got tiramisu and was rush and tasty.

Mamma Mia's is a very solid spot in Wallburg. The new online ordering and drive up pick up window is clutch! Ordered pizza and a caesar salad the other night for a quick dinner for the fam. The pizza of course did not disappoint as it's always a great slice. The salad though with the chicken and tomatoes hit on another level. Best caesar I've had in quite some time. Huge portion too.

I don't know who said they have large portions. That was a tiny sub at a big sub price. The dressing for the Caesar Salad is inedible. I can't put my finger on why, but it's bad. I get better store bought croutons and my local grocery. Maybe find better ones. Why would you not send napkins? Oh. Why would you not send a fork with a salad? The breadsticks are a joke. Tough, tough and warm, but tough. Maybe it's not something I should have ordered on Grubhub, but I had been in the car nine hours and I wanted to eat. The problem was, I didn't pick a good place. Should have gone with Domino's.

Baked spaghetti is great, huge portions with a salad and garlic bread. Tasted super good!

Very good food. They are very friendly and have delicious food. It's a small restaurant with a big restaurant feel and quality. They've recently added a drive through which makes it so nice to call in your Togo order and you don't have to get out of your vehicle. I highly recommend this restaurant. Big restaurant feel, in a small town.

Awesome service and they definitely did not skimp on the portion sizes! Cute ambiance too! There area doesn't seem to be racially diverse so you can expect that experience. Will be back, though!

We had there food at a catered lunch to start .. was very hot very fresh and really good.. so we decided to try at the restaurant. They are open until 1030 pm which is really unusual in these days. We decided to order Italian pastas which was not a bad choice. The penne Alfredo with chicken was ok not delicious but kinda bland. The chicken parmigiana was very good, nice red sauce and garlic bread was a little well done but still good. Both came with a side salad. It was Just average. Their pizza looks Good . Not a bad experience, their Spaghetti sauce was tasty.

I ran a restaurant for 15 years and I never stopped a customer from eating in even at one minute until closing. My mind party arrived 25 minus before closing and was told to get it to go. The state of customer service and overall quality has took a definite downward turn for the worse.

This place is great but don't order through yelp, they add a huge mark up to your order. Call Mama Mia's directly to place your order. It'll save you $10 or more!

The food smells and taste awesome but you better wear a coat because they added a drive thru window and it's open a lot! It's freezing inside. Right now it's not a great place to sit inside.

Ordered on the phone for pick-up & ordered a specialty pizza, it was fast & fantastic! Toppings tasted fresh, crust was crisp & even the remaining pieces were tasty the next day. Unfortunately, our garlic bread was severely disappointing. It was 2 small, stale slices of white bread with dried oregano sprinkled on top. Probably won't be ordering that again unless the recipe is changed or it's served fresh moving forward but I'll definitely consider returning for the pizza!

Consistent and delicious. My favorites are the Philly cheesesteaks and their pizzas are the best NY style I've found in the area. Definitely worth a detour to try!

Wow Wow WOW. Who wants to cook after returning from a long vacation. Quality food with value. I love their NY style pizza, but their subs and salads are a great hearty treat. We love this local business and enjoy supporting hard working local venues. Thank you!

Our company had a corporate luncheon today. I called a couple days prior and spoke with the manager (Robert). He took 18 orders over the phone and was very patient with me. When we went for the food at our pickup time, it was hot, ready and packaged up with the names on each order !! And I must say... everyone loved the food !! As we always do when we stop for lunch there often. Not ONE order was incorrect!!! A HUGE thank you to Robert and the staff for a great experience! Love love love this place and the people that work here. They are always so nice and accommodating! My daughter loves pasta salad, but they don't have it on the menu. The guys always go over and beyond to make up her dish for her. I have told them they need to add it to the menu! Morgan's Pasta salad! Best garlic nots around! My parents live about 30 min away, and will come out here just for their lasagna! Hands down my favorite Italian restaurant!!

Love this food!!!! Try the Spinelli Chicken Pasta Soooo good!! The guys that cook and waitress all do a good job!!! The cashier very nice. The better Italian sandwich also. Toasted and just right. Prices are good. Just a good place to eat!!

Finally, I got a chance to review this local pizzeria. A quaint restaurant with plenty of parking, great staff, reasonable prices, and an Italian decor inside to put you in the mood for this locations great menu selection of delicious entrees. There had been a long day at work for the wife and I so we decided we needed to go out and relax. We had no problem getting a good seat upon arrival; you seat yourself after ordering and a server brings your order to your table with the number card displayed. We both got the baked spaghetti which is to die for. Freshly boiled spaghetti baked to a piping hot temperature oozing with a healthy amount of their homemade sauce, lots of meatballs, all topped with a deep layer of mozzarella cheese. I'm getting hungry all over again writing this! The freshly prepared salad that it came with as well as the homemade baked bread rounded out a wonderful dinner. You can definitely count on a great meal and a great experience should you be in the neighborhood and get a hankering for fresh, homemade Italian cooking. Their menu has so many choices of pizza, stomboli, calzones, baked dishes, and Italian sub sandwiches. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

We love eating here, they give great portion sizes and always very fresh tasting. The chicken parm is so yummy!

We stopped in and had dinner, this was our second time here. If you love garlic knots, you must get them. They are out of this world amazing. The pizza is delicious and very crisp. I ordered a special of theirs called penne jo-jo and I was not disappointed. The sauce was creamy and the portion was much more than I had planned on. The staff has been wonderful both times and very helpful.

Great spaghetti and pizza. The sauce is deliciously fresh. Garlic bread so so. Side salad good with fresh 1000 Island dressing. Chocolate cake slice kind of small for the price.

We just moved to Winston and have been trying to find a good pizza place. This is it!!! They have the best pizza, even better than where we came from. Love it.

A pleasant surprise! I came here on a lark, because I was diverted from my usual route home because of construction. I ordered two slices and got a fountain drink for about 6 bucks. Totally worth the price, as they were huge and delicious! I would definitely come here again!

Their pasta servings here is really good. Large servings and their tomato sauce is pretty good. You get more bang for your buck ordering the spaghetti and meatballs instead of just the meat sauce since their meatballs are large. Their meatball seasoning is excellent and I never found their pastas too salty. The spaghettini are cooked to the right texture and oh my god their herb garlic bread is damn good. As for the cheese steaks I wasn't impressed. It's annoying eating a whole sub with a fork that's because they always seem to cut the hoagie all the way through and all the cut up meat and veggies can't stay inside the hoagie. There's no way to eat it like a sub. I do have to say I do like their cheese steak sauce although it is a little too runny. If they made it a pastier consistency it would taste so much better. All the flavor pretty much runs off the meat and drips through the entire hoagie since the bread again is cut all the way through.

Food is great so is the service. Anytime I've had an issue they fixed it immediately .....

Just another decent, unremarkable, forgettable pizza in the Triad. Cute restaurant that was busy on Valentine's Day, but everything about the pizza was just very average. The toppings tasted good, but there was a total lack of garlic, which I ordered, and the sauce was a little too dark and tangy. Earlier I used the term unremarkable, but there is one (unfortunate) remarkable feature of the pizza: the crust was excessively tough. I had high hopes, but they were not realized.

Pizza & salads not bad. Chicken wings & garlic knots disappointing. Make sure you check your takeout before you leave: they had always been great about getting things right but shorted me a chocolate cannoli last time. The first time I didn't check -- but of course.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and happily surprised! Grabbed 2 slices as big as you head. Change back on $6. As delicious as cost effective. I will be back!!
