Really fresh poke bowls and a really good portions and price! I got the Logan and a Build Your Own poke bowl. $13.95 for a bowl is a great price in the city. Try the Thai Iced Tea Lemonade. It tastes like an Arnold Palmer with spices. There is a nice outdoor seating area for the warmer months because the inside isn’t very big. Fast and friendly service. I would come back again if I’m in the area. Street parking is somewhat difficult to find though.

Google
I got a build your own poke bowl and a spicy ramen bowl. The fish was fresh and there are also many different toppings to choose from. The prices are very affordable for Chicago. Seating is a bit limited depending on what time you go.

Google
I love this place. I’d come here all the time for my sushi burrito and poke bowl but today I had to send them a little love because they went the extra mile. How cute are these love on top drinks and she even put a little flower on it, you guys are awesome thank you for making my day on Valentines and always.

Google
Mammoth Poke in my home away from home. The staff are easy to talk to, the food is consistently fresh and tasty, and the ordering process is seamless. I love the Thai tea and the sauce options! I recommend mixing half and half sriracha mayo and the classic poke sauce. If you find yourself wondering “what should I get?”, you can’t go wrong with a build your own bowl and picking as many fresh vegetable and fruit toppings as you want, and never be afraid to ask for an extra scoop of your favorite topping :)

Google
This place is fantastic! The price you pay for 3 scoops or 5 scoops of protein and then any toppings is amazing. The food tastes fresh, the staff are very kind, and the seating availability is limited. We walked here off the L train- but it was worth it. We also found that this place has limited street parking, but has a small outside seating area to eat. This place is a buy your own food and sit down somewhere. They do not clean up your mess - so you will have to clean up yourself and toss your garbage in the bin. Would definitely recommend coming here for fresh Poke anytime you visit this side of town or visiting Chicago!

Google
I've been here many times for lunch. Excellent every time. They've never messed up my order, and it's always good. They're also very efficient and the food is usually ready within 10 minutes of ordering takeout.

Google
Great cute quick spot for awesome poke! Will definitely be back!!

Google
This was so delicious. I’m glad I stopped here! Spice level was perfection (spicy tuna, spicy shrimp, and wasabi mayo). Prices were reasonable too considering how much food you get. Seaweed as an extra was only $1 and the serving was very generous. Family owned spot, gonna keep supporting!

Yelp
The best poke I've had so far in the city. The rice is true sushi rice seasoned appropriately and not dry or overcooked. All of the toppings were incredibly fresh and their spicy mayo was delicious. Portions for things could be a little more, but the price is very reasonable so not complaining. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Best poke in Chicago! I've had a few other places before Mammoth around Chicago and honestly Mammoth is the best in terms of quality & freshness. All the ingredients they have looked amazing and tasted like they were made that morning, not sitting in a fridge overnight. I really loved that they don't skimp on toppings and you can pretty much get whatever you want on top without an up-charge (save for 1-2 items). There were around 6 different types of protein to choose from. I ordered the spicy shrimp, spicy tuna, and the raw ahi tuna. Another nice touch they do is to individually mix and season the raw fish on its own before adding to the bowl. I got cilantro & jalapeño, along with some sauce. The bowl left me feeling full and with plenty of energy to tackle the rest of the day at a CrossFit class. Save to say this is healthy, powerful, & fresh food. Doesn't break the bank at $15.58 for the 3 scoop bowl - 13.95 before tax (Chicago be taxing smh). Great deal for great food. Thanks again, Mammoth!

Yelp
Visiting Chicago and we wanted to try something close by so we decided to check this place out. I highly recommend - one of the best poke bowls I've had. Perfect for a quick bite while exploring and will definitely be back. I ordered the build your own bowl with half rice and half salad. The price was good for 3 scoops of your choice of protein. One thing that stood out to me here is that they offer many amazing toppings that i haven't seen from other places I've been. Some of them can cost extra at other places. The sauces that I recommend was the Hawaiian Poke Sauce which was apparently the most popular, as well as spicy mayo which you can never go wrong with.

Yelp
I think I've tried 10 poke places in the city and I constantly come back to this one! It's quick and the place is always so clean! I always get the poke build your own bowl with tuna and salmon and it's FRESH! The spicy mayo, poke and garlic aoili is the elite sauce combo! They offer this place on uber eats but you're going to pay like $15 more than if you go in person , so word to the wise just go in!
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients, quick and friendly service, reasonable prices plus a cute patio seating area. What's not to love?
google avatar

Marian X.

Yelp
Ordered once on Ubereat, and I'm pretty disappointed with the food portion served. The bowl is really small, the size of the bowl is used for 3 scoops of protein at other poke places. The food selection is also very limited. The fish (tuna and salmon) and shrimps are fresh and tender. And one thing I like about this place is that it serves sushi rice. However, I don't think the price and food portion is worth the price. There are better options in town.

Yelp
Great poke bowl spot! I ordered online and it was ready during the time indicated. Can't speak to the service besides that! Staff did greet me and seemed friendly though. I did the create your own bowl and got 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of cooked shrimp. I usually don't get cooked shrimp but it exceeded my expectations! It was really good. The seafood and veggies were fresh and tasty. I got a combo of the Hawaiian poke sauce and lemon miso, it was a little too saucy for me. Will ask for less next time. Overall solid spot and would return.

Yelp
I went here a while back, and to be fair the atmosphere was decent but the service & hospitality was rather dry. Employees seemed nice, but management is lackluster. A lot to be expected, but you're better off going to one of the other more valid businesses in the area. At best this was a mid experience, so chance of going back there again is slim, and they lost me as a customer.

Yelp
We have been regulars since Mammoth's opening in September 2021 and while the business has expanded the quality is as good as the first day. Recommend the sushi bowls and sushi burritos. The service is fast and staff always kind. We usually do take out as it is more convenient for us, but there is plenty of space to sit and the place has nice lighting if you prefer to dine k
google avatar

Karla B.

Yelp
I'm not even going to exaggerate when I say this is the best poke I've had in Chicago. So flavorful and super fresh. Staff here is friendly! The space is great, they keep it clean and even have patio seating out front!

Yelp
Fresh/delicious ingredients but service is horrible and made them lose a recurring neighborhood client! I walked in for the first time yesterday to pick up an order and returned to try it myself! The first time I was greeted by the sweetest girl who was at the front. The contrast in energy and attitude by the second girl who served me when I returned was so weird, disgusting and obvious, I almost walked out! She was so visibly annoyed by me reading the menu that I had to tell her it was my first time there and that I needed a minute to understand it and decide what I wanted. While serving me her whole demeanor was very sarcastic and weird, moving in slow motion with an ironic tone of voice almost if I was personally insulting her from asking questions about the menu she rushed me over. All of a sudden she couldn't hear me, was putting wrong things in the bowl and was acting nervous and unsure of her job! Learn how to work under pressure -where money can be made but mine sure won't be spent under it! Train your employees on how to properly serve first time clients and not get too comfortable! Not everyone is a regular who already knows what they want! And most importantly, don't enable or normalize this type of behavior as a coworker/manager/owner trying to stick your nose in to pick up their slack if you didn't witness the interaction from the start! It doesn't look good on your business

Yelp
Came here because of all the five star reviews on both Yelp and Google. I got three servings of the salmon (non-spicy) with the greens base. The toppings are unlimited so I just went ham on those. Note to self - seaweed salad is $1 extra. I failed to read the sign. :) All the ingredients felt very fresh. The volcano sauce was tasty and not that spicy. Next time, I think I will opt for a rice base because I was still pretty hungry after this. The workers were friendly. The place has very limited seating - maybe for 10 people or so but my friends and I were able to snag one. Overall, it was good but not amazing. It was comparable to other good poke places and there wasn't anything special about Mammoth.

Yelp
Best poke in Chicago! I must admit to being picky about my seafood after living in California for 7 years and this place makes the cut. Very fresh ingredients and great service. We usually get takeout but they do have a few tables and outdoor seating for dine in.
google avatar

Jess A.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best poke spots in Chicago! Everything here is so fresh and colorful! Walkable from the Western Blue Line. Last time I went, my bowl was a little salty but maybe that's because I added two sauces. Regardless, the bowls are always so tasty! I usually pay $15+tax/tip for a bowl, but it's definitely worth it! They also have self serve water which is a plus. The space is a little small. I think about 3/4 tables inside and a couple seats outside. I salivate just thinking about this place haha. Can't wait to come back and try new menu items and different bowl combinations! A must try if you like raw fish and poke!
google avatar

Thomas G.

Yelp
Best poke in the city and it's not even close. Easily the most generous and freshest fish portions. They also have 10-15 free toppings that are actually good. To name a few: fresh mango, radish, bean sprouts, beets, and on and on. Fast and friendly service make this a weekly lunch visit.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
This place hooked me on poke. Still the best poke I've had to date. It's a simple operation but it works very well and the staff is very helpful when ordering!
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
I have been to this place a few times since finding it a few weeks ago. It's a make your own poke bowl fast casual spot. You can pick your protein - which makes it perfect for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. While they have salmon, tuna, shrimp and chicken I had marinated tofu. Tons of fresh veggies and fruit to choose from as toppings. There is no limit on how many you can pick and several sauces available to finish the bowl. Healthy, delicious and completely customizable. I could eat this every day
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
The (highly) customizable poke bowl and sushi burrito were both delicious! The ingredients tasted fresh and many of the sauces are made in-house. I recommend the tempura shrimp for the sushi burrito because that's unique to the burrito options! I also got the Thai Tea Lemonade which was the perfect addition to my meal. While there are a few tables inside, I love that you can take advantage of their outdoor seating on a nice day!!
google avatar

Claudia R.

Yelp
We loved the Bucktown and the Logan bowls! They had such a great combination of ingredients we'd never think to put together. The gyoza appetizer was great too!

Yolanda M.

Yelp
food is great. Has to be one of my favorite poke. The service is great everyone but one girl there is always just so rude and gives off an uncomfortable vibe. I go there often and she always has a snobbish way of her. I'm sure it's the owner's daughter or something. It's really disappointing
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
No wonder this place has a 5 star review / everything is incredibly fresh! You get to pick your space and then move through adding different toppings. This is a small spot - probably 3 tables indoor and 3-4 outside. I ordered online for pickup and it took a bit for it to be ready (they only have a handful of staff) but it's absolutely worth the wait!
google avatar

Charlene A.

Yelp
i kid you not, i come to mammoth almost every week for the last 4 years. they are generous with their portions, extremely clean, quick, and above all, have very fresh fish! This is by far the best poke in the city. i hope they continue to provide the amazing service and quality!!
google avatar

Lina D.

Yelp
Stopped in while craving poke and found a new favorite! The lady behind the counter was super nice and explained to me how to build my own bowl. I chose the salmon which was fresh and delicious. The portions were good and they have a cute little outdoor patio. Will absolutely be back
google avatar

Yelp
I generally feel that the pokes craze has kind of run it's course a few years ago. I also feel that most poke places kind of make the same thing in the same ways. That is until I discovered Mammoth poke. First, their ingredients are amazing. Their fish is sushi quality and fresh cut each day. Second, they use sushi rice in all of their bowls and the sushi burritos. My understanding is that they are one of the only poke places that uses sushi rice. The sushi rice really elevates their bowls to a new level. Third, in general, their food is great. When I was there I ordered a tuna poke bowl with both spicy tuna and tuna, a salmon poke bowl and tuna sushi. I could really taste the freshness and the quality of the fish. Fourth, their interior is very cool. They have two different murals. The first is Chicago in a poke bowl. The seconds is a is colorful stripes. This is a must visit.
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
Ordered a poke bowl to go and it was delicious! The process is similar to a subway or Panda Express so you build the bowl as you go. I ordered spicy salmon with sushi rice and was happy to find out you can add unlimited toppings! There were a few premium toppings but they were reasonable. Since nothing is cooked I got the bowl very quickly. Wish I would've ordered some gyoza so I'll definitely try that next time.
google avatar

Kimmie R.

Yelp
The poke bowls are excellent. I would strongly suggest avoiding the 5 protein bowl unless you are splitting it there's no way one person can eat this in one sitting. Since sushi doesn't make good leftovers make your choice! ;) Also, you get more meat in the 3 protein option. There's only so much that can fit in the bowl and if you select 5 proteins you will most likely get a little bit of 5 different kinds which defeats the point of paying for extra. Their sushi burrito is mostly rice, hard pass. Octopus balls just did not taste like an octopus so I have a hard time believing these were their actual balls. Okay I'm kidding but no this tasted like dough and I have a hard time believing there was any octopi in it at all. Get your steamed dumplings, they were great! I'd try it again but would stick to the poke bowl and steamed dumplings.
google avatar

Gabriela W.

Yelp
My guilty pleasure to order Grubhub from here- fish doesn't smell at all and tastes incredible. Truly how a poke place should be. Highly recommend it, all of the sauces and ingredients are yummy.
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
I'm a poke lover, and Mammoth Poke did not disappoint! The tuna was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. They had a great selection of toppings and sauces. I really enjoyed the volcano sauce -- it added the perfect amount of spice. I first opted for the 3 scoop protein bowl, but the scoops were very small. I then let the worker know I would actually like the 5 scoop bowl, and she was much more generous with the last two scoops! I didn't mind paying a few extra dollars for more poke. I will surely be back!
google avatar

Tri Q.

Yelp
Service was quick and friendly. Product offerings are your standard Poke protein types of tuna, salmon, shrimp and tofu. Their variety of sauces allows you to make many types of flavour combinations. My favourite is the spicy salmon with Ahi tuna. There's a strange $1 up-charge for seaweed salad where most places it is free. Value for 3 scoops of protein is comparable for the freshness quality you get in other upscale joints. I'd recommend give it a try.
google avatar

Johnfavour N.

Yelp
This place really does deliver on the promise of a mammoth-sized poke bowl, and for a reasonable price too! The standard bowl offers 3 scoops of protein with several fish and shrimp options. You could also get a veggie bowl with tofu if you're so inclined. For the base I love getting half and half sushi rice/mixed greens. Even with half a serving of rice I was super full afterwards. I also love getting the beets and mango which is super fresh. The lemon miso dressing is very unique, I usually add that with another dressing like spicy mayo or garlic aioli. They also have preset poke bowls on a screen to the side if you do not want to customize your bowl. I can tell it's popular since we can around 6pm on a weekday and they were nonstop making bowls for online orders. Everything is so delicious you'll need to be careful not to eat too much and get a stomach ache like my partner did.
google avatar

Margery G.

Yelp
The freshest and most versatile poke I've had anywhere. In addition, the staff is kind and the environment is comfortable and spotless. Looking forward to my next visit!
google avatar

Raine B.

Yelp
Great selections and fresh ingredients! I ordered through Uber Eats, and everything was just right! I got a 3 scoop protein bowl with spicy tuna and spicy salmon, and I also got an ahi tuna and salmon sushi burrito! Mammoth Poke had a variety of add-ins that I just adored! From spicy bean sprouts to crunchy garlic, it was awesome! I love that this place has some really fun dressings too -- I got garlic aioli and lemon miso dressings in my poke bowl, and it tasted great! I've been meaning to find a go-to poke place so I'm glad I stumbled upon Mammoth Poke!
google avatar

Jaime R.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients and great options make this a fun place for a quick, healthy, and satisfying meal! They have a wide variety of protein options as well as a plethora of toppings that can jazz up your bowl. The wasabi mayo has a great punch and the poke sauce adds a great sweetness. I will be back to try more!
google avatar

Rich M.

Yelp
We were heading to a concert nearby and found 5 Stars for Mammoth Poke so we stopped by. Friendly service, fresh ingredients and delicious food! There is a small seating area and the take out was busy busy. Full recommendation!
google avatar

Kimberlie C.

Yelp
Mammoth Poke is a cute, rare spot for your poké cravings in Chicago~ while the protein scoops were on the smaller size, you can always double up on your favorite choice. We recommend opting for the regular salmon and tuna -- tasted fresher & you can have them mixed with some toppings and sauces specially prepared for your order. With all the toppings, it's flavorful! Stand out toppings were their "shoelace" beet ribbons as well as their seasoned bean sprouts! Value? Unsure-- but again, filling and yummy!
google avatar

Creed W.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for raw fish poke, this is a nice place. People were very friendly & helpful. It's small, with a few tables, but I'd recommend take out. We both got poke bowls. Fish was good (salmon). The spicy sprouts weren't that spicy. Seafood salad was fresh. The mango wasn't ripe, but it's March. TONS of rice (I got half rice & half noodles). If you know what you like/what to order, you can make a nice bowl here.
google avatar

Yvonne I.

Yelp
This place is amazing! My favorite poke place right now. It is on Western Ave and easy to find. The space isn't too big, but there are a handful of seats in case you would like to eat there. They have poke bowls, poke burritos, and appetizers on their menu. For the poke bowls, you can add quite a bit of different vegetables and toppings to it. The fish is super fresh and good quality. I also haven't been to any poke restaurants that offer kimchi. This place does, and it tasted great in my bowl.
google avatar

Genna G.

Yelp
Outstanding poke! Many unique topping choices you can't find at other poke spots such as spicy bean spouts or sweet corn. The fish was delicious and fresh. I got a bowl with salmon, spicy tuna and spicy shrimp with mixed greens and 8 toppings. Can't wait to order from here again!!!
google avatar

Cary C.

Yelp
Spontaneously craving chilled, savory fish and found Mammoth nearby. The menu looked great and it did not dissapoint! The space is bright, open, and welcoming, with a nice mural backing the seating area. The staff were courteous, fast, and really patient as we spun our wheels deciding on what to order. We ended up ordering Takoyaki (my old spot closed down during the pandemic), a Sushi Burrito, and a 5 scoop bowl (3 salmon, 2 tuna) with brown rice. I'm a big fan of their selection of toppings that are included, the fish quality was also great. The price was a bit steep but fair. I would definitely recommend this place for someone looking for a great poke joint.
google avatar

Vas S.

Yelp
This place is awesome. I haven't made a review in years but wanted to give this place love. That's all that needs to be said
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
Fresh fish and a large variety of options to pick from! I love having noodles as an option for the base, and the restaurant itself is very clean and well-kept. Staff were very friendly, especially when someone else took my order my mistake and they had to re-make it on the spot. Only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is that the scoops for toppings is teeny tiny! I was expecting a bit more in my bowel, but good to know to order extra if you're ordering for pick-up.
google avatar

Cathy M.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh poke in this little restaurant. You get to build it yourself so fill your bowl with whatever you like and I promise you won't be disappointed! It's a big serving too. 10/10
google avatar

Mamiiw M.

Yelp
Love this fav Poke bowl restaurant! All ingredients are fresh both poke bowls and sushi burritos so gooddd. If you are a fan of spicy and mayo. try to mix 3 scopes with spicy tuna, salmon and shrimp. Add Hawaiian poke and spicy mayo sauce! Believe me~ You gonna love it
google avatar

Mat B.

Yelp
Top tier bowls. Fresh ingredients. Sushi rice . Amazing and friendly service. Truly a class above the competition.

G B.

Yelp
this sushi burrito is on another level! It's like a party in your mouth with all the fresh fish, crunchy veggies, and perfectly seasoned rice. The flavors just explode with every bite, and the combination of textures is out of this world. I guarantee you won't be able to put it down once you start. So go ahead, indulge in this amazing creation and let your taste buds dance! This is a life changing experience, go here!!

Mac P.

Yelp
Really enjoyed Mammoth Poke! I've tried almost every poke joint in the city, and this is definitely one of the best. The tuna and salmon were extremely fresh/clean tasting, and there was an assortment of your standard poke bowl ingredients (edamame, avocado, jalapeño, etc.), but they also had unique offerings like Spicy Bean Sprouts. The sauces were also great and complemented the bowl well! I went with the Hawaiian Poke and Lemon Miso. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Jocelyn K.

Yelp
Yum!! It was such fresh fish and fantastic ice Thai tea. I got half chips and half white rice and was expecting the chips to be wonton chips but they were actually tortilla chips. But other than that, it was great! Will 100% be going back.
google avatar

Jeannie L.

Yelp
Pro Tip: If you like poke bowls and know you will be ordering here more that they are in the area.... order from their website. They have a deal where if you order 10 then the 11th is free. I mean for some of us (*wink wink*) that is like within 2 months. This place is usually very busy with take outs, delivery and dine in. We decided to dine in after ordering carry out a few weeks ago. I like their presentation, friendly staff and all the ingredients were fresh.
google avatar

Megan D.

Yelp
Truly enjoyed my poke bowl here. So customizable and yummy with all the toppings choices. The girls working there at the time were all lovely. And the Thai tea is bomb too
