Middle Eastern street food, popular harra frites & shawarma wraps

"Mama’s casual South Lake Union restaurant closed in late September to little fanfare." - Harry Cheadle

"At the Amazon‑adjacent space next to the Spheres, this spot has cycled through several names and concepts and was praised last year by the Seattle Times for a mashup of Lebanese and Mexican cuisines; the Mexican influence is now off the menu, and the restaurant is currently called Mamnoon Street." - Harry Cheadle
"Mamnoon Street’s falafel sandwich hits the spot, especially after a hike or any other kind of physical activity, including walking around the corner. The homemade flatbread, tahini, and pickled turnips make this wrap better than the sum of its parts, even though the parts are pretty damn great. Add an order of spicy fries with za’atar mayo and/or a mint lemonade." - aimee rizzo
"Yes, our favorite thing at Mamnoon is a deep-fried cauliflower drowning in tahini - but it’s still cauliflower at the end of the day, and at least it’s not covered in batter. So have at it, and don’t forget some mezze like baba ghanoush and hummus, beef and lamb kefta with yogurt, and grilled chicken that’s tastier than it really has a right to be. It’s slightly upscale, but this is still Seattle, so you can come in your gym clothes and fit in just fine." - aimee rizzo
"A pita stuffed with crisp falafel alongside a mint lemonade slushie is exactly the kind of meal you might be craving when you’re all done scaling a mountain. Especially if that spread is coming from Mamnoon Street. There are a lot of ways to do lunch or dinner here, whether you get a platter of mezze, a shawarma wrap, or just a basket of the delicious harra fries with za’atar mayo. " - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente
