We were just staying 24 in nyc and decided to come to mamo. We came with education and excitement and we felt overwhelmed by the restaurant treat. The food was amazing in my case the tartufo ravioli incredible, wine great and treatment super! Thank you to everyone and specially to the chef or souschef for the desserts and the overall experience. It’s great to see when you make good you receive good back. We will come back definitely!

What an incredible Sunday dinner we had! Such an amazing and friendly staff, they made my Son’s birthday celebration most festive and memorable! Food is divine and atmosphere very very special! Thank you so much for beautiful moments that we will never forget!

I took my family who’s visiting us from Arizona to this place Mamo early December. This is our first time. Food: is average, but then again I only have there Cacio e Pepe and its well worth it. Dessert is decent, nothing special. Service is wonderful. The crew is attentive and friendly. Ambiance: I gave it a 2 as there is nothing special about this place. We were seated on 1st floor, place is a bit cramp (typical NYC little restaurant) but it’s clean. No loud music so you can have conversations with people.

Very good food and the presentations were excellent. This is halibut with some sort of tomato sauce wrapped in parchment paper that was unique and tasty. There were 5 of us and everyone had a fine meal.

Came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and it did not disappoint. The place has such a nice vibe super aesthetic and perfect if you’re into cozy dinners or cute pics for the gram. The pasta? So good. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but honestly worth it for the quality. I’d totally come back whenever I’m craving a solid pasta fix.

Lack the class and management of a high end restaurant. Long wait, despite booking and complete lack of apology. See story below. I was made to wait 30 minutes past my reservation slot. When I complained to the front of desk staff about the wait they assured me the manager would speak to me. Once seated (and after complaining), I was told multiple times the manager would speak to me. However the manager never once approached me to ask what the problem was. Eventually I caught the manager (after he was done paying homage to wealthier looking guests (we were dressed extremely smart fyi)) and he paid no heed to my complaints. He said they were busy and offered no apologies. I pointed out to him two issues: 1. If you have a booking system, and unless there is exceptional circumstances, there is no excuse for delays as you should plan ahead to ensure there is space for reserved guests. 2. Other wealthier looking guests were being seated despite arriving later than us. In fact a table, sat two over from us, were personally greeted by the manager. I am English and this would never happen in a high end restaurant, it was essentially two tiered treatment. No apology was ever made by the manager on shift who was terrible and avoided us the rest of the night. On the bright side: 1. The food was decent(nothing special) a bit heavy on the parmesan but no major complaints. 2. Our server Fernando was lovely 3. After I complained multiple times, I mentioned that traditionally you’d get a free dessert, they gave us free desserts to apologize. I note though that the manager never said sorry (he sent Fernando). To summarise - They have lots of waiters doing different jobs to give the illusion of class but they don’t have an ounce of actual class. They need to train up their management team to understand what high class dining should be.

Such a beautiful place with food that sends the senses to all the best places. Truly felt like we were in old New York sitting here. The service was excellent, with everyone making us feel like we've known eachother for years no matter the fact we had just met. Had such a good time we returned two days later and had an even better time. Will be back 100 more times! We enjoyed; beef tartare (best I've ever had), truffle and margherita pizza, angel hair with shrimp and pistachio, pomodoro pasta, truffle ravioli, and every dessert!! Each dish divine. Thank you Gigi and our now family!

Solid spot for Italian in SoHo - MAMO takes a contemporary spin on classics. Lunchtime is a light and airy affair. Come in a little later and take your time if you can afford it. The pre-fixe lunch is a great option if you do. Start with a variety of fresh salads or apps. I enjoyed my seared tuna and capers. Secondi has a variety of comforting pastas but the branzino is pretty solid too. I appreciate that the food is satisfying but still light especially if you have to head back to an office after. Comfortable ambience. Personable service. Straightforward menu but plenty of choices.

Had to wait a bit for our table, but waited at the truly, stunning bar upstairs. It's small but really really beautifully designed. The entire restaurant is, really. The service was great and the food was amazing. It can be pricey, depending on what you order, but delish and worth it. Can be made to be a really fun girls night out dinner, date night, birthday dinner, etc. Will be back

MAMO was delicious. Service was on point, dishes impeccable, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and upscale. The tables upstairs are a tad close together for my liking but it doesn't take away from the overall atmosphere. MAMO is perfect for a special event or date night, I'll be back!

I was pleasantly surprised by my lunch here today. It was a bit cramped since they only seat downstairs for lunch so I walked in not expecting much but wow. Service was really top notch, they were constantly refilling waters and refolding our napkins as people left the table to use the restroom. What a cute little surprise to come back to. Our server even told us to "buckle up" when our food came because it was so delicious and he was darn tootin right. Highlights were the truffle pizza, truffle ravioli (pack a mint, okay?) and the burrata with avocado and orange I think? But the star of the show was that dang tiramisu. Wowowow. I don't even like tiramisu but this was so creamy and delicious! And the salted caramel ice cream from the sundae... I need a tub of that ASAP! The drinks were nice too. I enjoyed the vie en rose cocktail a lot and their iced americano was perfect with dessert. Until we meet again tiramisu....

10/10 experience. The food = delicious, the staff = amazing, and the ambiance = perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better night out.

Such a delicious Italian spot in Soho. The lighting was dim, the interior was decorated very nicely, and the service was great. I came here around 6:30 with a party of 8, and we sat upstairs by the big window overlooking the city streets. For appetizers, we started off with the Come a Capri, Melanzane alla Parmigiana, Focaccia al Tartufo (or truffle pizza), and Carpaccio de Manzo... They also come with table bread with salami and some spread. The Come a Capri was burrata and tomatoes which was light and refreshing. The Melanzane alla Parmigiana (eggplant parmesan) and beef carpaccio were also pretty good. The truffle pizza was amazing. The cheese was creamy and the truffle flavor was strong. If you like truffle, this is the move. I got the Branzino for my entree which was delicious. Perfect size for one person. It came with some broccoli, cauliflower and black rice. The crust was so flavorful and crunchy, and the fish inside was very tender. The black rice had a lot of flavor as well, which I did not expect but loved. I heard the sea bass special was also delicious, so I would recommend both these fish dishes. I also had a bite of the truffle risotto, but honestly, I did not like it at all. It's such a heavy dish and WAY too rich and creamy. My mouth felt sticky after eating it, and you literally can't eat subsequent bites without having a palate cleanse with water or some greens. I also couldn't really taste the truffle flavor since the risotto and cheesiness overpowers it. Other than that, everything else was great.

I came with a large group for a celebration and everything was amazing - from the food, to the service to the ambiance this place exudes high quality. It is also candle lit and has a romantic atmosphere - great for a date night! I ordered the burrata appetizer with honey and pistachios and the papparedelle with short rib and both were very tasty. The bartenders also did a great job with the cocktails I had the Mango No 5 and it was so smooth and not overly sweet.

We came to celebrate my brothers college graduation. He lives close by and said this is his favorite restaurant in NYC. That is a pretty bold claim, knowing NYC is home to some of the worlds best restaurants. I'm glad to say that my brother was spot on. Everything was spectacular. The drinks were very well made, the service was 10/10 and the food was delicious. I especially loved the Capelli D'angelo, Gamberi e Pistacchi. I would not have thought to add shrimp and pistachio together but it works great. Overall we all had a great experience and I highly recommend.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at MAMO NYC I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with MAMO NYC was so frustrating that I feel compelled to warn others. I called on Monday to book a table for Friday for a special occasion--my mother-in-law's birthday. However, the employee I spoke with mistakenly booked the table for Monday. I realized this mistake when I received a confirmation text for the wrong day. I called back immediately to fix the issue, and after some back and forth, I was assured my table for Friday was confirmed. To be safe, I called again yesterday (Thursday) to confirm my reservation. Shockingly, I was told I had no reservation for Friday. Worse yet, they had the audacity to blame me, saying, "You didn't come on Monday." When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told he was "busy" and would call me back. I could even hear the manager coaching the employee on what to say so they wouldn't have to deal with me directly. Unsurprisingly, no one called me back. The result? My mother-in-law's birthday was ruined because of their repeated mistakes and complete lack of accountability. MAMO NYC might have great food, but their customer service is beyond terrible. If you're booking a special event here, proceed with extreme caution.

The crème brulee was so good. Interesting that it came in a glass bowl, but delicious nonetheless. The chocolate pudding wasn't great.. the cream was alright but didn't have a lot of flavor, and the weird passion fruit jam kind of ruined the dish for us. The bar upstairs is gorgeous.

I liked the noodles and the dish has decent flavor but wayyyyyy to much oil some of the bites taste like pure oil def not one of the better cacio e Pepe's I've had in the city maybe their other dishes are better?

So mid that I'd just say, eh - feel free to go somewhere else, since there are a lot better spots for the same price. It's in a great location in SoHo, and the space is beautiful - they've done a good job with making it feel charming for even brunch. We go the eggplant appetizer to start, which was pretty average; very crispy which was great, but really nothing wowing. The burrata was solid with a really nice olive oil, very high quality there. I got the cacio e pepe as a main, and it's just... fine; really nothing to write home about. For a total bill of ~$45, I don't think it's super worth it, but I'll let you make that final judgment :)

TLDR: A decent spot to stop if you're looking for an easy Italian reservation in Soho. The eggplant appetizer, while featuring a good sauce, fell short due to the almost excessively crunchy and crispy exterior, disrupting the overall texture of the dish. On a brighter note, the burrata was a highlight - fresh and delicious. However, a suggestion would be to pair it with smaller tomatoes to achieve a more balanced flavor. The cherry tomatoes, accompanied by a high-quality olive oil drizzle, were a delightful addition. Unfortunately, the rigatoni was a bit of a letdown. The pasta was overly al dente, and the sauce lacked the depth I was hoping for.

Nice ambiance and good food, but it's one of those restaurants you don't want to return to because of how pushy they are. The main course arrives the minute you finish your appetizer, and the check comes while you're still eating. There's a lot of 'Are you done? Can I take this plate away?' throughout the meal. A lady in black, probably the manager, keeps walking back and forth, checking her phone while monitoring the tables. Overall, it's a nice place, but these details ruined the experience. It's probably not the same for everyone though--I noticed they were super nice and friendly to some, likely the regulars

The ambiance was nice! When we arrived the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. We got a beautiful table in the middle. The food was excellent. I especially loved the truffle pizza and the truffle ricotta with hazelnuts and honey. The espresso martini was one of the best Ive had. Loved the sceney vibe and beautiful space.

From the moment we stepped into MAMO, we knew we were going to be in for a treat. We started with cocktails at the bar upstairs and decided to dine upstairs as well. The service was great, the food really tasty and the vibe was perfect...upbeat with great tunes but not too loud. Everything we ate from the eggplant parm to the artichokes, Brussels, Cacio e pepe, branzino, papardelle, we spot on.

Came here again post-COVID, sadly they padded my bill with something I didn't order. I emailed them about this, they acknowledged this, yet ghosted me when I asked them to credit my credit card. I emailed them 3x about removing this charge (a charge they acknowledged I didn't order) but no response after the acknowledgement...

Went here on my birthday and the cacio pepe was so good that ever time someone mention cacio pepe I think of this restaurant because I want everyone to try this here. The garlic bread and oil that came at beginning was also very delicious.

Just another average Italian place in the city. Beautiful restaurant but food is average. We were asked to leave on a Saturday night immediately after paying our check ($600+) which was tacky. I won't return here. *Note only 3 credit cards can be used per check which was also annoying.

I am in love with Mamo. It has one of the prettiest dining rooms in the city as well as amazing tentative staff. I believe their whipped ricotta is my favorite in the city. I was confused at first as to why they had easy accessible reservations but now i feel like its a best kept secret for Italian spots in the city. Have been back many times over the past month.

We went tonight for my friends birthday. We were made fun of by the waiters, cursed out by the waiters and constantly told to simmer down. This was not our first time here and we were NOT the only table complaining about the new managers. 2 separate tables and ourselves were discussing how bad, rude, and DESPICABLE the service was. For someone who constantly comes, had friends and family who come so often, we will never be stepping foot in such a rude disrespectful environment. Beware. Managers changes. Overall service is at an all time LOW.

This restaurant in truly top tier. Went last night with some friends (all of us are foodies and pretty big on food quality/value) and we were all very impressed. The vibes are lovely, intimate and romantic. The service is attentive. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care in the experience. We got: -cacio e pepe (we LOVED, we agreed we would definitely order this again) -eggplant appetizer (also incredible, and something we would definitely order again) -halibut (good, we agreed we would maybe order it, but it wasn't a must) -spicy gnocchi (tasty but wouldn't order again, the other dishes were better) -montepulciano wine (pictured below), incredible!! Very dry and tannic, not too fruit forward, goes down easy while still being complex. Carlos was our server and he was wonderful. Funny, attentive, and very accommodating. He helped us pick the wine and some of the dishes. He truly helped make this experience a great one. Mamo is definitely going on my "to return to" restaurant list. Truly a magical experience, everyone has to go here at least once if they are in NYC!

The truffle pizza is one of the best I've had in the city. Amazing flavor, fresh and very generous amounts of truffle shaved on top. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. Very classy, trendy and stylish. The vibe here is great. Service is also amazing. Beautiful space in soho.

Very nice ambiance and delicious food. The service had elegant etiquette and very professional waiters.

Came here at 5:00 PM with a friend of mine. She got the maltalgati verdi alla bolognese (housemade green maltagliati bolognese sauce) and I got the la nostra cacio e pepe. We also shared a tiramisu! Both pastas were phenomenal, they were very filling. The tiramisu was to die for - it was the perfect end to the dinner! The service was very kind, they constantly checked up on us and made sure that all of our needs were attended to. The ambiance was quite nice; you go up a flight of stairs into a secluded area with nice candlelit lighting. This is a great place to go on a date.

I've been here before and this time I came the hostess literally looked me up and down with people around and scolded me for wearing platform sandals that were 3 inches tall that are very trendy and in right now mind you. She told me basically what I wore was inappropriate and I felt like scolded me for wearing them here in front of a group of people. This is extremely unprofessional and not okay. There were 15 girls I saw wearing a type of sandal and I'm unsure if they all got reprimanded like me. Just very distasteful to treat a guest that's about to spend $200 plus at your restaurant. The waiter was amazing though . Attached is the photo of the shoes I was wearing .....

Definity get the hype for Mamo. Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Upscale, bougie spot and definitely trendy as of late. Beautifully decorated interior giving old school NYC vibes. Great selection of wine. We loved the truffle mushroom pizza, it was rich and absolutely delicious. Rigatoni was a must try as well. Approximately $30/dish, however worth it for a special night out.

It was average I didn't feel the food was anything special. Besides that service and ambiance were excellent. Maybe try once and see if you like it

Amazing Italian restaurant. Loved the decor, very chic and elegant. The menu is amazing - everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the pastas, and definitely save room for dessert. Service was super nice as well. I can't wait to come back to try more pasta!

This is a restaurant to visit if you wanna treat yourself or a friend for a special occasion. Known for their truffle dishes, it did not disappoint in that aspect. My friend and I ordered their truffle raviolini. While the truffle flavor was apparent, it wasn't overpowering, which can be easily done with truffle. We also ordered the truffle fries which was a bit disappointing in my opinion. Although there was a generous amount of shaved truffle, they were quite cold. The bite was too crunchy and wasn't the most enjoyable. We tried their margherita pizza as well which almost appeared like a normal pie of NYC pizza without the classic dollops of fresh mozzarella and basil on top. Still enjoyed , but not magnificent.

Food is amazing!! Good music not that loud so you are able to have a conversation. Service exceptional and the drinks are also very good. Loved it.

It was my birthday and my brother wanted to impress. I was so excited when he confirmed our reservation and I really wanted to see if they could me into a truffle lover. Food: 5/5 Candidly, there are some dishes that are out of this world and others that are good. This place is like the Olympics, only one gets gold, not to say the other weren't above average. Clearly the truffle raviolis are my gold medalist. As a truffle oil hater, this made me bow to the truffle. It was creamy, salty, and in a cream sauce that was absolutely decadent. As a lactose intolerant individual, bring your pills it is worth it. Service: 5/5 Honestly, it was exactly what I would expect from such an establishment and more. Everyone was on point, kind, and most importantly great at small talk. All in all, I will definitely come back if someone else is paying for these dishes $$$. But, they are worth every dollar for the level of attention the Chef provides in each bite.

Everything was amazing! My husband is already asking when we are going back next. We randomly went by and thought it was cute but had no idea how cute it was inside until we made a reservation and tried it out and so glad we did. Every dish was fantastic and exceeded our expectations - the stand out for me was the burrata with honey and truffles. The service was also spot on - didn't come up too often or too soon, it was just enough. I highly recommend if looking for something new in the city to enjoy for a cute date night or girls night out!

There's something special about this restaurant. It definitely has an in-the-know feel about it, small and quaint with little details that elevate it to a very upscale yet homey place to dine. Interior is executed perfectly from the dedicated host/hostess nook that greets you to the large vintage movie posters upstairs. Started with delicious fresh bread that came with cured meat and an eggplant spread--delicious and would have asked for more if we weren't eating so heavy! Carciofi alla giudia (fried artichoke) - 5/5: Melts in your mouth with an exciting little crunch due to the deep fry. Seasoned so perfectly that if you were fed this with eyes closed, you might have even mistaken them for fries. So good! Focaccia al tartufo (truffle pizza) - 6/5: Get this!!! Lives up to the hype. Umami in every bite. The generous amount of thinly sliced truffles puts your favorite truffle pizza drizzled with truffle oil to shame. I would come here just for this and get it every time. Capelli d'angelo, gamberi e pistacchi (angel hair pasta with shrimp and pistachio) - 4/5: This would have been a standout dish if the shrimps were marinated or more flavored. Otherwise with a lovely butter-lemon sauce. Would get again. La nostra cacio & pepe - 3.5: Maybe would have liked more if Calabrian maccheroni wasn't the pasta of choice. Not the best cacio e pepe I've had as this city has manyyyy places that execute this well! Not terrible, though. Tiramisu - 3.5/5: Um wow huge portion enough for a family. Was not expecting this haha. Also not as light and fluffy as my favorite tiramisu in Venice. The cream portion is pretty thick. I would get again though if I was celebrating a birthday here with multiple people! Ambiance, service - 5/5: You feel like you're in a townhouse but the art and surroundings remind you that you're not. Shoutout to Carlos, our very sweet server! Service was top notch without feeling too stuffy, always available yet gave us enough space. Saw a variety of different groups from dates, girls nights, celebrations, and older and mid-aged crowd. Can fit any type of occasion. 4.5 overall as I feel something is missing yet can't quite figure out what. Would return regardless!

A friend of mine mentioned how great their experience was here so, I went for date night. Ambiance: 10/10. When you first walk in there's a lower level but my assumption is that since outdoor dining is still happening (Summer time) that they don't use it as often. All parties are seated on their upper level. I was seated at the bar until the other person in my party showed up and although it's small, it's super cute. The restaurant is perfectly lit and the music isn't high where you feel like you're screaming. Even as the sun set and they dimmed the lights, still didn't need to turn on the flash on my cellphone, lol. Service: The hostess was my first encounter and she was welcoming. After that the bartender immediately tended to me and we never had to flag down our waiter throughout the night, very attentive. Drinks: 3.5/5 I will say the next time I come I'll stick to wine. I tried the "For Her" which was pretty tasty. My second drink was the "La Vie En Rose" and I sadly had to send that back. Wasn't my cup of tea at all. I ended up getting the "Blueberries Thyme" but substituted the mezcal for tequila and that was also decent. So yeah, just wine me next time lol Food: They start you off with complimentary bread that comes with prosciutto and this eggplant dip. Neither one of us eats pork so we didn't touch the prosciutto. I'm not a big eggplant fan but decided to try it anyway and it was delicious!! For appetizers we got the red shrimp and the fried artichokes. The burrata with a side of mango and a little bit of the red shrimp was like a burst of flavor. The fired artichoke was cooked perfectly!! Drizzle a little bit of lemon on them and it's a party in your mouth. For entrees we got the Rigatoni and the Capelli d'angelo. The rigatoni we omitted the pork and yet, still, it was delicious. Whatever they use to make that sauce, I want the deets! The shrimp pasta had the perfect lemon butter base. I was hesitant at first about the pistachios but it worked. Overall, I'd come back!

My friends and I went to Mamo last night for my best friend's birthday and the staff made her night special from the start. We even had a mishap with her cake before arriving to the restaurant and they created such a special experience with dessert and singing happy birthday that it made up for the whole thing. The food was amazing as well as the ambiance. It was also pretty pact for a Tuesday. 100% recommend Mamo.

Antipasti choice insalata di polpo e ced = octopus chicken peas tomatoes and cherry peppers the slice octopus was good Caprese = tomatoes mozzarella basil Pizza milana pizza was prepared great Main course Salmon fillet w whole grain Italian rice the salmon is pan fried a little over done but good Dessert the choice Tiramisu was amazing

Managed to snag a last minute reservation on a Saturday night for my friend and I. Upon arriving we were greeted by the hostess and taken upstairs to the bar because we were early. We ordered two espresso martinis... frothy and delish! We were quickly seated by a very pleasant matri'd. We started out with the octopus app and eggplant parm.. both were very good. For the entree we shared the Bronzino, truffle fries, roasted eggplant and rigatoni pasta. Everything was delicious! We ended the night with an amazing tiramisu and cappuccino. Everything including service was top notch and the food was amazing. I highly recommend coming here!

One of the best Italian meals I have had, hands down! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and pristine but the real winners are the warm and welcoming staff plus the great food! 10/10!

This place is definitely on the expensive side but very good quality food . The Buratta here is one of my favorites . very fresh tomatoes. The truffle pizza pasta fries is all DELICIOUS. Service was okay i had some trouble with my reservation where they told me they were all booked but online they were available so i booked online and just went. but inside was beautiful and the food is really good.

We ordered the Risotto al tartufo & the pasta with the bolognese!! The Risotto was really good but I had to send back my food because the pasta wasn't "al dente" but overall the drinks , service was amazing especially since i kept sending back the pasta .. thank you for the patience !! Highly recommend especially for the aesthetics just be ready to spend & tip good ;)

One of NYC best food experience. It is maybe why A-List celebrities go there. I really enjoyed it. Restaurant is beautiful.

Very intimate spot. The pasta was good - I wouldn't say the best I've ever had. I had the one with pistachios and it was a good portion - almost a little too buttery.

Real deal. Amazing service, manager and server were hustling their ass off. Ambiance was nice, Food was spectacular. Truffle pizza 1000000% lives up to expectations. Truffle fries had a mountain of grated truffle as well. No shortcuts. Julius salad was refreshing. Rigatoni Bolognese was flavorful and rich. Will be back many many times when in SoHo
