A petite Millcreek kitchen earning praise for fresh vegetables, balanced spice, and abundant curries. Covered by Axios and Utah Stories, it’s a worthy detour for basil noodles, fragrant soups, and thoughtful extras like jasmine‑red rice.

By far the best Thai food I have had in Utah. We have gotten taken out here 3 times in the past few weeks, it's seriously that good. I want to try other items on the menu, but the Pumpkin, Panang, and Pineapple curry is just that amazing! Full of flavors, stuffed with fresh ingredients, in large portions. Plus, you can customize the spiciness, and I recommend getting it spicy! Even the rice they serve has that extra level of care, super flagrant even on its own. Such a gem, I seriously recommend you try it.

Google
Best Thai food I've ever eaten and that is not an exaggeration! It's owned and operated by a family so the food tastes authentic. Very flavorful and fresh tasting. Portion size is good and it's a good value. If you're anywhere near this place you must stop by!

Google
This is the most delicious pumpkin curry I’ve ever had. I’m not a vegetarian, but I do love tofu, and theirs was fried to perfection before being stewed with the rest of the pumpkin curry. YUM YUM. They also serve their curry with the most delightful purple rice! Fragrant and nutty. Service was not great. My food came out 20 minutes before my three companions received their meals. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive otherwise— it was probably just a kitchen/online ordering/prioritization issue. Restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and very clean!

Google
Really really great food and really friendly service. I loved the pumpkin curry. But it was great to try out a new place I’ve heard so much about. Their rice is so good too!

Google
Ordered the pumpkin curry to go and WOW it was bomb!! 😍❤️🤤 So rich and creamy, perfectly spicy. I wish I had remembered to ask for the Thai chili pepper to sprinkle on top. I can’t wait to try other things on their menu. Love this place and so glad my bff found it!! ❤️ Also, service was super friendly and the inside was cute, cozy and quaint. ❤️🥰 Update: Went a second time and tried the Mango curry and was very disappointed. The chicken didn’t taste like chicken and there wasn’t much in it. I ordered shrimp and paid extra so it would have more protein and the shrimp tasted strange also. The green curry was still good. The mango chunks were hard and resembled the hard center parts of a pineapple. Bummer. I threw it away and will probably only stick to the pumpkin curry at this place - which sounds like what they’re known for anyways. The girl up front is always very friendly even while juggling customer walk ins, pepping to go orders and answering the phone - she always smiles and is very personable. ❤️

Google
This is the real deal! Found this local gem via Stuart Melling’s SLC Gastronomic blog. So good I want to keep it a secret. If you have been to Thailand, or just want to try some authentic Thai food, Mana Thai is for you!

Amber Russo

Google
I almost don't want to tell you how great this place is, and keep it a secret! The food is cooked fresh, smells delicious and fragrant from the parking lot. The owners put their heart and soul into every dish they prepare. We've never eaten something we didn't love. The chicken lettuce wraps are spectacular. The mango curry is a must try! The garlic over rice is simple yet phenomenal! Nina serves the food with a smile, remembers us when we return and is always so welcoming. We try to take everyone we know here. The owners are so friendly and appreciative! Tell everyone you know.... it's the most authentic thai food and all around delicious.

Google
Mana Thai Cafe is our new favorite Thai restaurant. It's a small and authentic cafe that feels quite like being in Thailand! Their dishes are flavorful, the menu is large and varied, best of all we love how consistent they are. Every time we order or go in, we know what to expect and generally the owner is there! If you order takeout, go to their website directly - Uber Eats will increase the rates by 20%!

Yelp
I always stop here while in town! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. You can tell they really value their customers. If you're looking for authentic Thai food with great service and a warm atmosphere, this is the place.

Yelp
Good Thai food, reasonable price, canyon rim area. I got the tofu stir fry which was pretty flavorful. Mango sticky rice was good.

Yelp
Holy S**t! I don't normally write reviews and in fact just accidentally stumbled into this place only because it was late and I googled "restaurants near me". I am still processing how good the food was, I mean amazing. I had no idea that this quality of food was available. I went in by myself but will definitely be back and bring others. So I had the Papaya salad- fresh and crunchy and blasted with flavor. I also ordered this Boat Noodle Soup; I don't know if I can do it justice with words. In composition like Pho- noodles, meatbals and protein of choce but that's where the similarity stops. The broth was a very dimensional , rich and dark... unbeliavable. Cool little hole in the wall with super friendly staff that made you feel very welcome in their home. Do yourself a favor and check this place out...
google avatar

Sheryll L.

Yelp
Stopped by to try this place out last minute since we were in the area. Not a huge place - more like a hole-in-the-wall secret restaurant to me. The staff was friendly and we were seated pretty fast (there were other diners) even though it was somewhat close to closing time. The food was SO GOOD. I love Thai food and this might be the best spot in Utah. We had the Masaman Curry, Yellow Curry and the Fresh Spring Rolls as an appetizer. Their peanut sauce was thick and really flavorful, The curries were pretty big servings so we had enough for another meal the next day. Definitely will come back and try the other menu items.

Yelp
I got the Pad Thai and it was insane! We met the owner, Chino, and his sweet wife. He was so nice! The food was so good, and the food came so fast! We chatted with Chino for a bit, and he was so kind. Go support this business!!! Best Thai in SLC.
google avatar

Tami K.

Yelp
Service was attentive and very fast. Portions are large. Love the crackers they serve. We had: Fresh rolls: wayyyyy too much lettuce stuffing, peanut sauce was amazing. Drunken noodles: great flavor overall Tom kha soup: could use more herb/galangal flavor, love the mushroom choice. It was a good dinner but probably not the best thai

Yelp
Been here a handful of times and it's by far my favorite Thai place in Utah. After being to Thailand, I can assure you this place is authentic as it gets. The staff is incredible and I feel at home every time I go. The prices are reasonable. I get the Thai basil beef stew and it's quite honestly the best Thai dish I've ever had. Tables and area are kept clean. Seems like this place is starting to get more popular which is awesome, but I hope they stay close by!

Yelp
A terrific find in Millcreek! This family-run business is my new go-to Thai restaurant. Located just before the freeway round-about on ramp on 23rd East. The seating area is small with only a few tables, they seem to do most of their business as take-out. But, the service was quick, friendly and accommodating. We spoke with the owner for a bit and appreciate their work ethic and desire to produce quality food. Our standards for comparison are Masaman curry, pineapple fried rice, and pad Thai. Each one of these dishes was perfect. The curry sauce was mouth-watering, the fried rice was bountiful and filled with fresh ingredients (including cashews), and the pad Thai was not greasy or too sweet, just great! I love supporting a local small business and look forward to my next meal at Mana Thai. Maybe I'll even try something new! Support this great spot, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
The food was great and same with the service! They were extremely accommodating to food allergies. It was our first visit but we will be back soon!
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Portions were good/normal. Food was very sweet. Way too sweet. Even the fried rice was sickly sweet. Pad Thai/drunken noodles/stir fry. We did not finish the leftovers. Was excited to try but won't go back unfortunately. Based on the good reviews maybe Utahns like their Thai food really sweet.
google avatar

Ivana H.

Yelp
This is my first time eating in the restaurant but I've ordered take out twice before. I got the fresh roll with shrimp, it's filled with lots of lettuce and the peanut sauce was delicious. It was an okay roll. My main dish was the stir fried bok choy with beef and side of rice & egg. It was flavorful and I really liked the cucumbers with the beef. Service was good, food came out in a timely manner but it took awhile to get to go trays and the check.

Yelp
This was the best Utah Thai Food experience I have ever had. We occasionally have a need to eat Thai food, we call it the Thai food itch. That Thai food itch was so well scratched by this experience I can't imagine going anywhere else in the future. So for our experience we ordered take out which was ready fast and picked up quickly. The restaurant looked cute we have not had an in dining experience yet... emphasis on the yet. We ordered: 1) Kao Soi - I have never had this before we ordered the chicken version which came on the bone... normally I'm not a fan of meat on the bone but this was so good we couldn't help ourselves. This was a full meal in itself sooooo good. 2) Fresh Rolls - These were typical Thai fare make sure to order 1 if you want 2 because 1 order comes with 2. I made the mistake of ordering 2 and we ended up with 4. 3) Pineapple Curry - Ordered this with Chicken this was absolutely the best pineapple curry I have ever had. So good. 4) Drunken Noodles - Ordered this with Beef. Their beef was really good quality. The flavor's were excellent. So the Kao Soi and 1 spring roll ended up being enough for 2 of us to eat for dinner. Yes I probably over ordered but they had so many good things how could I not. We had to save the rest for night 2 and even reheated it was amazing. I can't wait to order the papaya salad next time, I wish they had a mango salad. Excited to try this place again. My only disappointment is that they said they couldn't deliver to our house... which was in Olympus Cove and doesn't seem very far away so I'm not sure why. Highly recommend trying this place. Let us know what you think.

Yelp
Awesome food. Perfect vegetable mix and perfect flavor. Spice was fantastic. Rice was soooo good. Ordered the short ribs. Must try dish. Can't wait for next visit to try curry type stew they mentioned.
google avatar

Maddy A.

Yelp
Good grief. This was legitimately the best Thai I have had in Utah. And I've eaten a lot of Thai in Utah. This place looks so unassuming. Zero dollars have been invested in the decor. Tables are small. Whole place is small. Probably can't hold that many people, but good grief, please eat here. This is just one of those places where they have put it all in the food. We ordered, it came out fast, delicious and fresh. No nonsense staff, we asked him what was best, he gave his recommendations between what we were looking at, and we were not lead astray. He said everything on their menu was good, and judging by the variety we ordered, and how everything was delicious, I think this might genuinely be one of those places where everything is good? Amazing.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
We love this new Thai place - the food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. We always get it to go so I can't speak to the seating/service for dine-in, but we're always very happy with our order from here. Our go to is the drunken noodles and it does not disappoint.
google avatar

Chris N.

Yelp
- chicken basil rice 10/10 - massaman curry 10/10 - thai tea 10/10 - service 100/10 definitely recommend trying this place out !
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
We stopped in late after a movie. A lot of places are not open or close super early on a Sunday but this one is open until 9pm. Excellent Tom Ka and maybe the best Panang we've had outside of Thailand.
google avatar

Mara F.

Yelp
This is an extremely small restaurant without many seats. We happen to get lucky and come when it wasn't too packed. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The drunken noodles was my favorite but I want to try other things again too. Potion sizes are big and super shareable. The wait staff does there best to be attentive but it's a small crew and be prepared for it to take a bit for them to get back to you. It's one guy doing all the tables. Prices were fair given the quality and quantity of the dishes. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Kayla P.

Yelp
The Thai dumplings were amazing! We had the chicken pad thai, mango curry and garlic over rice for entrees and had no complaints. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. Would definitely come back again
google avatar

Autumn F.

Yelp
W O W! I read a review that says this was life changing. I can attest. This food WAS life changing. Too bad I am in Provo or else I'd get fat and sassy on mango sticky rice.
google avatar

Austin B.

Yelp
Some of, if not THE best Thai food I've had in SLC. The pineapple curry was the best I've ever had, the massaman was possibly tied for the best ever. The Pad Thai was very good, not great. A bit too sweet and sticky, even tho it's normally a pretty sweet and sticky dish, the noodles seemed over cooked. Still, it was 4/5, the others were easily 5/5. We got the combo appetizer and holy crap it was huge and everything was fantastic. The satay was flavorful and moist, the potato dumplings were amazing, the egg rolls delicious, and the fried tofu was, well, I hate tofu so I'm not the best judge. Still, would recommend to anyone and hope to be in the neck of the woods to try again soon. Edit: I forgot to mention the portions were HUGE, this will be tomorrow's dinner also.

Yelp
Amazing food from a local family! Eat there or you will regret it! Their soups are amazing!!!!!

Yelp
An unremarkable looking small restaurant, but it's bustling with activity, and for good reason. It's some of, and likely the, best Thai food I've ever had. We shared a mango curry, Thai street noodles, and the shrimp larb. Every dish was delicious--the mango curry was smooth with a wonderful mango flavor throughout. The street noodles were filled with fresh peppercorns and tamarind--somewhat reminiscent of pad Thai without the nuts, and more peppers, but its own dish. Those were both delicious. But the shrimp larb was the true highlight of the night. It was not what I was expecting: lettuce, seasoned shrimp, and sticky rice still in plastic in a shimmering sauce. But every bite delivered an explosion of flavor. Maybe the closest analogy I could make is a cooked, spicy Thai ceviche. The owner told us we were one of the first tables to ever order it--and all I can say is that everyone else is missing out. Come. Order it. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Both the food and service were great! We had a bigger group and they were so good to accommodate us. All the food was delicious! We had at least 10 unique plates between us all and everyone loved what they got. The portions were massive too!

Brian S.

Yelp
Wow amazing food. Small quaint restaurant and great service. Had the pad see ew and stir fry vegetables. Both excellent flavor and good size portions.
google avatar

Ryan A.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Curry's are all on point, had several appetizers and they were all delicious. So nice to have a place this good close to home. Thank you Mana Thai! Note: dining area is quite small, but i heard they acquired the space next door to knock down the wall and make for larger dining space. Will be back for sure!
google avatar

Craig S.

Yelp
My new favorite. Worth the drive regardless of where you're coming from. Excellent food and decent sized portions
google avatar

Meg W.

Yelp
This was one of the best places to get Thai in Utah. I've tried sooo many, this is my top! The food was soooo goood. Would recommend fo anyone

Laura G.

Yelp
Another visit to Mana Thai after remodel. Remember it's open only at 12:00 Friday and Saturday. My guest who travels the far east, agrees it's authentic.

Robert L.

Yelp
Finally food worth yelping in Salt Lake City Utah . It seems that every chain restaurant has an unimpressive out post in this city and every expat from surrounding states settles in salt lake to open a crappy restaurant claiming they have the right stuff . Mana cafe has Thai food worthy of Thai town in Hollywood ca ( here for fan x ) must say that Nina was great checked on us regularly. The food is better then most and the cozy cafe feels like your at home with big brother making sure your taken care of . Will be back soon .
google avatar

Beau W.

Yelp
I have eaten at every Thai restaurant in the SLC valley and Mana is the best. I feel like a lot of the old tried and true have fallen off but luckily Mana is more then ready to take up the mantle. As an added bonus if you are within a few miles radius they will deliver and the food will show up warm and fresh. I can highly recommend for anyone looking for Thai food.
google avatar

Jady T.

Yelp
The foods are very delicious. Authentic Thai food. Recommended If you come to Salt lake Utah You should try Mana Thai Cafe Love it.

Fita M.

Yelp
Great food, best thai tea, great service, amazing vibe & atmosphere. Worth the stop for food.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
What a great place! I stopped in for dinner during a work trip. The person who took my order was so friendly and nice! I had the crispy chicken pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious will stop by again for sure!

Lynne A.

Yelp
The combo appetizer was amazing--fresh, delicious and a good amount of food! We also had pad Thai which was very good, but not quite on the high level as the app. All in all a great place to get Thai food. Try it!

Marie K.

Yelp
We live 1.2 miles away and this restaurant has a $60 minimum order for delivery. Would love to order delivery more often, but the cost is unreasonable for how close the place is.
google avatar

Jon R.

Yelp
I've had takeout here 4x and each I was reminded how good this place is. Their curry (all of them) is fantastic.

Leslie S.

Yelp
Hands down, this is the best thai restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of attending. The location has close street parking, and offered both indoor and outdoor seating. A stand-out were the owners of the restaurant, who not only provided excellent service but also gave us the backstory on some of the dishes, and confirmed that an interesting stem with what looked like little berries was indeed a stem of fresh peppercorns. For me, the standout was the street noodles. To be honest, I had a hankering for pad thai, but the other members of my group had picked out the street noodles. But I was far from disappointed. That dish had excellent flavor - somewhat akin to Pad Thai, but also so much better! A final note - many dishes state that you can order it with any meat, but of course one can get the dish with tofu or with extra vegetables.
google avatar

Charles S.

Yelp
After a long drive from Jackson, Wyoming (where the Thai food was awful), Mana Thai Cafe was the perfect place for fast and delicious food. The service was really great and the staff are very welcoming. I really enjoyed the pad Thai and pad see ew. There's a great dog park down the street too!
google avatar

Ran Y.

Yelp
Have only eaten here to-go, but I am so happy we have great quality Thai in the neighborhood! Super fresh. Probably the best tofu Thai basil I have ever had! Really excited to make this a regular Thai place for us, so close to home!
google avatar

Grant T.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service!! Worth a try. Don't miss the various curries either. And if they have Issa sausage, ORDER IT ! Great young couple opening a new place definitely won't disappoint you if you try it!!
google avatar

Carlita J.

Yelp
This might be my new favorite spot!! Gone are the days of blan Thai food in SLC! Everything we tried was so flavorful! The Tom Kha soup was so creamy and the red curry blew my socks off. Very authentic taste, and very friendly owners. You can tell the food is cooked with love.

Jessia S.

Yelp
This is some of the best Thai I've ever had. We dined in and it was fantastic. Service was great and food was even better.

Chuck R.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. As my legion of followers know, I do not mention specific dishes because why in the world would you care what I ate? I'm coming off major surgery and the best part of the experience is that my wife has been cooking for me. She's excellent and effortlessly moves about the kitchen creating wonderful dishes. Lately, I've fallen back in love with her grilled cheese sandwiches and Trader Joe's tomato soup. What a lovely combo to nurse me back to health. Thank you, dear. She was a great girl friend before becoming my wife. Hungarian by descent, she is beautiful and fiery. Enough said for now. Mana Thai Cafe is well worth it and I know you'll enjoy it. I have spoken and thus it is so.
google avatar

Tommy L.

Yelp
Great food and service. Totally recommend if your looking for Thai food in Millcreek.
google avatar

Aunalisa A.

Yelp
Excellent takeout joint! The owners are super friendly, as mentioned in other reviews. We got the soup and a masaman curry. The portions match the price of the food and I was satisfied with how much food we got. I will definitely be returning.

Tyler F.

Yelp
Best mango curry I've had in a while! Super good for takeout! Will definitely be ordering here again.

Wendee E.

Yelp
I ordered yellow curry with chicken and it was seriously the best curry I have ever had! The chicken wasn't dry, it was fresh and cooked to perfection. The yellow curry sauce was divine and the vegetables were not overcooked. The sticky rice was great. Rice is usually rice but for some reason, this was better. Highly recommend!!
