The food here is EXCELLENT. I have tried Chinese dishes from Tulsa to LA and back, and this place is probably in my top three for favorites. It has an incredible authentic taste that better than anything else in Tulsa, and truthfully I haven't gotten anything here yet that I don't like (which is saying something for my picky taste buds lol). That said, I only gave them four stars for two reasons:
#1) When I ordered two things of steamed custard buns, they sent me out some completely different kind of bread, since apparently they were out of the other kind. This wouldn't have been a big deal, but nobody informed me of that before swapping my food for something else, and it wasn't until I noticed it and went back with it to try to exchange it that they told me they had nothing else and we would have to stick with it or just be refunded totally (I did keep them, cause I needed something easy and relatively mess-free to feed the baby in the car going home).
#2) They have some sort of rule that says orders over $50 have to be prepaid for over the phone. I get the why - and again, that would have been totally fine - but they let me make the entire order, THEN told me this after the fact, and when I let them know that all I had was cash, but that I was en route/like 8 miles away, and asked if they could go ahead and start on it, they said no, they would have to wait until I got there to do it. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but I literally had an infant in the background who was plainly having a screaming meltdown, and I had already told them that I needed to be able to pick up our food and go because my baby was super exhausted, not feeling well and needing to go straight home and to bed. I asked could they please make an exception (it was only maybe $12 over the limit) and they told me no, I would still have to wait. It wasn't until I got stuck in traffic (and the screaming got worse, so I finally decided I couldn't handle any extra, unnecessary meltdown time in the car) and called back to cancel multiple items on the order and make it under $50 that they were willing to start on our food.
((And then with us getting the wrong food, I *still* had to call back, wait for an answer, go back inside to return it, and wait outside for a replacement - just to then have them come back and tell me they were out and it had been done intentionally, not accidentally - as I dealt with all of this while I had an exhausted and cranky baby that was not having a good time)).
So the food is amazing, the restaurant looks really nice and has some beautiful decorations and architecture, and the people that I have dealt with so far have been really kind, but there are definitely a few things I feel like they could do better.
