NYC-style slices, unique toppings, brick-oven pizza, and baked clams

"Named after the hero of Saturday Night Fever, Tony Manero (played by John Travolta), the restaurant has developed a reputation for some of the best brick-oven pizzas in the neighborhood, with a puffy and nicely browned crust. In addition to pizza, menu highlights include eggplant lasagna, fried artichokes, Caesar salads, and baked clams stuffed with seasoned bread crumbs." - Robert Sietsema

"This newish Little Italy pizzeria more or less presents itself as a cocktail lounge — yet it serves slices and behaves in many respects as a neighborhood pizzeria. The Neapolitan slices tend to be a bit heavy and browned, and often display atypical toppings." - Robert Sietsema

"I think it’s worth braving the crowds in Little Italy for Manero’s take on a sausage-and-pepper riff: the onion and red bell pepper add sweetness while the sausage tastes strongly of fennel and pork, producing a slice that’s a bit heavier and greasier than the typical Neapolitan." - Robert Sietsema
"This surprising entry into the hubbub of Little Italy actually whips up great pizzas, and serves as a gathering place for hipoisie that happen to be in the neighborhood. More important for our purposes are the larger than usual stuffies (baked topneck clams) with an herby breadcrumb filling — exactly what you’d hoped for. Topnecks are a bit larger than littlenecks, making them a better deal but chewier than their smaller brethren." - Robert Sietsema
