Mangia Pizza

I think this will be one of my top favorite meals of 2026 and it’s only February 16th! The homemade red sauce was to die for. The sausage broccoli rabe pizza was one of the best slices I’ve her had and that means a lot coming from me since I am a traditional cheese slice or margarita slice girl. We also had the eggplant rollatini and the arugula salad which were both so yummy. One of the best arugula salads i’ve had! Truly so unbelievably delicious. And on the other hand the New Jersey Italian vibes, the welcoming family-like environment was truly so special. The hospitality of the owner, Freddie, was unmatched!! Gave us a pint of sauce on him as well as the most delicious cannoli dessert of hot dough topped with powdered sugar and cannoli cream! We were in a food coma. Will be back soon!!

Mangia Pizza is truly a gem! The Ramapo College dance team came in last minute asking for help with pizza pies for an event we were hosting, and they were more than kind and accommodating. They helped us out right away and made the whole process stress-free. The pizza was absolutely delicious and ran out super fast because everyone loved it. The manager personally gave me his number and made sure I was completely satisfied with the experience, which really meant a lot. Amazing service, amazing food, and such genuine people. I highly recommend stopping by Mangia Pizza! 🍕

Absolutely fantastic. My wife, toddler and I came in frazzled, and were immediately treated like family. We grabbed some slices and chocolate moose, warmed up from the snow, and watched a steady stream of customers come through the doors and be treated with love and friendliness and respect. Their pizza was incredible, only outshined by the welcoming and incredible atmosphere they created. 10/10 will go back!

We were the mood for a plain cheese pie and this place hit the spot! It was perfect!!! I also had to try the meatballs and the were delicious! No fillers, just meat - balls, perfect!!!! (yummy sauce too!) Well done! You've got a new customer. Thanks for dinner!

We ordered 2 pizzas, one plain & 1 pepperoni. Average pies. We've been trying different pizzerias since our go to closed. Unfortunately Mangia will not be our new go to. Average at best pizza, but the cost of $45 for these 2 pies was exorbitant. They get good reviews for their other foods but their pizza is not worthy of a high review. Sorry, but I don't recommend.

Came here on a Saturday evening with a soccer team. Total party of about 12. We called ahead to ensure we had seating and showed up about 5 minutes later. The place had one other party eating dinner. Keep that in mind, as the place was virtually empty until we brought our business. Once we got situated, since I noticed that nobody came by to take our order, I took the initiative to walk up to the counter to place the order myself. Already a bad sign. I proceeded to place the initial order of 3 pies with the thought that with such a large party, obviously we were going to order drinks and probably more food. But before I could even frame the thought, the manager working behind the counter said something to the effect of, "You gotta order more, more, more... there's another party coming, bla, bla, bla". Not sure what his explanation was, but it was irrelevant. We were a large party coming to order food for a hungry soccer team. WE WERE GOING TO ORDER FOOD, OBVIOUSLY. So we ordered a 4th pie and I guess we made the cutoff to get the guy to stop complaining for absolutely no reason. The pizza was good and we were in and out the door in about an hour. Oh, and by the way, I had to go up to the counter and pay, also. I'm surprised I didn't have to bring out the pizza and pour our pitchers of soda ourselves. Although the pizza was good, needless to say, the service left a sour taste in our mouths.

I am 4 slices deep as i write this review I can't stress enough how good their pizza is.. and their customer service is spot on,Barry was very pleasant to deal with. I will definitely come back for more

Our school football team was visiting Waldwick HS yesterday. I called Mangia as it was the closest high school. The owner Freddie answered the phone. He was so helpful! He even gave me his personal cell number. We ordered 14 pies to be delivered to the parking lot to feed all our JV Football players and cheer leaders. Freddie made sure the Pizza got there in time (even though the game ended way earlier bc a running clock!!!) THANK YOU FREDDIE and MANGIA Pizza - From Clarkstown North 4th Quarter Club. 5 STARS!

food 5 star service 5 star authentic Italian food homemade manicotti/ for real delicious ckn francais complimentary zeppoli to take home this italian girl that cooks should know (Bronx born) prices cant be beat Don't expect it to be a romantic spot. It is of course a pizza place with a lot of tables.

The owner was wonderful! We were visiting family and they took us there. The pizza was excellent. The zeppole were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely return when back in town. Our family members eat there regularly.

Amazing ownership. The people are so nice and the service is always friendly. They definitely take a lot of care in their recipes. The pizza is unbelievable. Get the extra cheese pizza!!!

HORRIBLE! Stay away! Nothing is edible, not even the pizza. I asked them for crispy pizza. Look at the pictures and tell me how crispy this is... It literally folds over on itself when I picked it up. Worse then ever. Stay away! So many other options.

I absolutely love this place!!! I went here on a recommendation of an old buddy. When I pulled up, the outside is very plain Jane. I got very nervous and thought... Ugh, what did he get me into?? Then I walked in and it was very clean. The guys in there are absolutely phenomenal. If I wasn't in my lunch break, I could've hung out there all day. Great atmosphere and just a very good group. Possibly a father/ son establishment. Not 100% on that though. I got the Grandma pie with Vodka sauce, fresh mozz and basil. Out of this world. Nice thin crust, crispy edges, Vodka sauce was on point and the smell of that basil was toying with me as I was driving back to work. It's in a little strip mall on Wyckoff Ave, so be careful. I passed it twice. But put it in the GPS and give it a shot if you're in the area!

The best pizza! I did ask for it well done. It was perfectly crisp. Glad my cousins brought me to this restaurant.

1.Italian dishes was terrific. 2. pizza was just ok. 3. service was very good. 4. Ambiance was pizzaria style and a bit noisy. 5. prices were in line for what was served. 6. being that the kitchen and counter are in the rear, all the takeout customers have to walk through the dining area to get their orders which tends to be annoying. Being that the meals were so very good, we will definitely return.

Not only was the food delicious, but the service was out of this world. I felt like i was being treated like a VIP. It also had a great atmosphere because the place was clean and had soft music playing in the background.

Delicious! Great pizza, best near me. Everything homemade. Fantastic staff! Fish, amazing! Pasta delicious! Chicken is SO GOOD! Yummy steak! Zeppoles at the end, with chocolate dipping sauce. I leave feeling like I just had dinner with family. Even the salad dressing is good! Try it, and you will it!

The me, the hubby and kids needed to get lunch before we hit the lake and this place was on the way. So happy we stopped in. The pizza was DELICIOUS! The service was great, everyone was so kind. This will be our go to stop before the lake from now on. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Mangia is hands down the best pizzeria in the area nothing else comes close. Great variety of speciality pizza, all of which has a perfect balance of dough and crispness. Vodka sauce and marinara sauce made the way it should be made. Also don't overlook the homemade salad dressings, while everyone else is using Ken's their house balsamic and Caesar are next level. You can see the anchovies in the Caesar salad which you very rarely see anymore. Don't think twice about Mangia

Pizza is absolutely amazing it is one of the best pizzas I've ever tried. The service is amazing the workers are so polite. The seats and tables and very nice.

Overall good pizza spot. Definitely a lot better compared to the others in the area. Would give 4 stars but the pizza is sometimes a hit or miss. Sometimes the pizza are amazing and cooked perfectly but sometimes there are sloppy made and soggy. It's just the inconsistency that I found giving this place a mid rating. I would definitely recommend this place compared to the others in the area. Grandma pizza is a must!

Ordered delivery from this place a few times over the past few months and we are so pleased! We've had their cavatelli & broccoli, linguine with clam sauce, penne and ravioli with vodka sauce. All were outstandingly delicious! This is the best vodka sauce I've ever had! So savory! This is not a "corner pizzeria." The food they serve is of excellent quality, fresh and very tasty and their prices reflect it. It's higher quality Italian food without the fancy restaurant setting. You're getting your money's worth in the food not, the environment! We love this place.

The Fig Basalmic Pizza is amazing. Chicken Francese, chicken piccata are both delicious. Service is very good. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Owner and manager are friendly and welcoming.

We ordered a Grandma Margarita last night to take out The pie was prepared and ready within 25 minutes It was our first time trying their pizza Overall very tasty and delicious My wife loved the pie and we would recommend you give them a try You won't be disappointed Second meal tonight we ate in and it's a BYOB We had the absolute best eggplant ever over spaghetti a the topper is that they serve you hot zeppelins with melted chocolate as a treat Simply Amazing

Staff is friendly. Buffalo chicken pizza didnt have much flavor though which was disappointing. Good crust though.

Tried last night for the first time and it was very good. The Greek salad with shrimp was so good. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the salad dressing that comes with it was incredible. Our pizza was excellent as well. We also got the breaded mozzarella app which was good. Oh but that dressing!!!

Delicious and reliable. The gluten free cauliflower crust option is really good! Ordered a few times now and enjoyed it.

I went to mangia pizza in Waldwick and I got 2 slices with pepperoni and a fountain soda for 17 dollars I asked the girl if there was a mistake she said no I paid and ate the slices were good just not 17 dollars good I won't be back

Mangia is the best. Hands down the pizza in Bergen County. My husband and I order here once a week. We tried the shrimp garlic pizza and I can't wait to have it again. Mind blowing how delicious it was.

Ordered a plain pizza. As soon as we opened the box we knew it wasn't going to be good. And we were right. Barely any sauce, and just a round blob of cheese on top of a ok crust. It was edible but not good at all. I muscled down two slices and didn't want to waste the fin foil to save the rest. Put it right in the garbage. You gotta do better than that in New Jersey.

Ordered from here for the first time and was very disappointed. We were missing a portion of our order and we couldn't get the missing portion of our meal because it was near closing time. The remainder of the food we did receive was cold.

Very pleased with service and food! needed special request for an allergy and accommodating us with no problem. Friendly Definitely worth trying! They also have Gluten Dishes and pizza!

It was good to see a new Pizza restaurant open where Waldwick Pizza used to be, really missed it. Bought a large cheese pie...good price, friendly counter-person, tasted great!

Been there for their pizza many times since they opened but had dinner there tonight & had some of their other dishes. Had their Spaghetti a la Sinatra - amazing sauce, packed with olives, capers, clams & shrimp, it was delicious! My 14m okd granddaughter especially enjoyed the shrimp. All around excellent dinner & the service was great! Forgot to mention their delicious salad dressing!

Ordered pizza and a salad online, waited 40 minutes and when I arrived to pick up the owner went to the back to get the salad, and grabbed a pizza from the top of the oven. Sadly when I got home my wife opened the box and saw pepperoni instead of mushrooms, and the ticket stuck in the box was for Freddy someone so Freddy will be a bit upset like me when he gets home. It has been almost a year since the last time in here when I had issues then. So obviously there are still issues that are unresolved.

Food is amazing. Margarita pizza is perfect. Garlic bread is amazing. Zeppolis are light & flaky, regular sugar with powdered on top. It's been so long since I've had a real high quality pizza.

Zero Stars Just ordered pickup for pizza and ravioli was told to pick it up in 1/2 hour got there and was told when I got there that they had no ravioli so he assumed that I would want manicotti instead he said at least I made you something. I would not order from them ever again

Excellent pizza. Had a plain pie and a meatball. The meatballs were super flavorful. Large slices with an awesome tomato sauce and cheese that had a little something extra to it. Maybe pecorino romano in addition to the mozzarella? Not sure, what i do know is that it was delicious. Always happy to see a new business pop up that has legitimately high quality food. I hope this place thrives. Give them your business!

2 stars are for the service. Very slow. Showed up to pick up my order and it wasn't even started after being told to come in an hour after placing the order. Grandma pies are good, but smaller than other places in the area.

We ordered in on New Year's Eve. My friend who picked up the food did not get a receipt. I called up on Tuesday being Mondays are closed. We need to find prices of a couple of dishes that were ordered being it was special made and not on the menu. The owner on Tuesday morning around 11 AM answers the phone and I explained to him i needed prices for some of the dishes . He said " it's on our menu " in an abrupt voice. I said , " these dishes are not on the menu, ". (which was two of them). My friend had to pay back the person who paid for the dishes and needed to know the prices. I also needed to know if one of the dishes was done as a main dish which was gluten-free penne because it was in a pan that was full of the pasta like a regular dish, but was supposed to be a meal with pasta along with her grilled chicken and shrimp. I told the owner what we ordered and he was giving me prices and when I mentioned about my dish as we were talking which was chicken picatta and the price, I said that was my dish and the chicken-and pasta was very dry, There was no sauce in my pasta or chicken it was very dry.! Abruptly he cuts me off and says to me in a very nasty voice, "Our conversation has ended, I am going to hang up now! I said I need to know the prices of a couple dishes so the person can pay the other person back. " Our conversation is over , " , he said to me, he did not want to discuss anything anymore. The moment I said something was wrong with one of the dishes. He didn't want to talk anymore. He wanted to hang up. We have been faithfully going to that restaurant at least twice a month since he opened because we liked the food. I would even recommend them to everybody that his sauces, and everything is very good , it is a great place to eat out or order . But after his attitude, I will never go back. He lost several people as customers. Very disappointed in how an owner can't take criticism. If he treats all his customers like this has business is not gonna be very much longer. As a matter of fact, now I will say something else because I couldn't say it to him he doesn't want to hear criticism but his chicken dishes. The chicken use to be thicker. The chicken now is cut so thin that it's over cooked and it taste dry like eating straw. , you can't even chew it . I used to love going to that place but I'm never going back and neither are my friends. They will not cater to him anymore. We spent around $200 for three people for New Year's Eve and to have an attitude like the one he gave me on the phone. We are not going back.

Being this was a new place in town we thought we give it a try. My kids wanted calzones so I ordered 3. I was asked large or small based off of that question I assumed which was my mistake that the large was a normal size. Getting there and finding out that I needed to pay them $99 for three calzones a chicken dish and mozzarella sticks I almost fell to the floor. Obviously now we knew getting home that one calzone could feed four people. It would've been nice if the girl on the phone had said a large feeds 4 people. Once we cut into the calzones the dough was raw inside. Well that's sealed it for me we will not be going back

We had the Drunken Vodka Chicken Pizza and a small Stromboli the other night and loved it! Can't wait to go back and try more off the menu!!

We have been loving Mangia since day one...never disappointed with our selections or the suggestions from the staff. Last night Freddie totally outdid himself! We were a table of four and could not decide what to have for dinner--appetizers sounded like fun so we chose several--we had a feast! Everything was so wonderful and we got to try things we hadn't had before. Excellent food-great friendly staff-we are lucky to have them so close to us (although we would definitely drive to wherever they were :)! ) THANK YOU AGAIN FOR A GREAT FOOD EXPERIENCE
