Mango Men Homestead - Review - Homestead - Miami - The Infatuation

"Think of Mango Men like a garage sale. But instead of beat-up furniture and old DVDs, there are crates of rare specialty mangos for about $5 per pound. The Mango Men set up shop on their front patio in Homestead on Saturday and Sunday during mango season, and everyone working the stand is as sweet as the mangos. They'll happily slice you fresh samples while explaining the subtle differences in mango varieties. They have loads of options: big, fat suckers from Australia, ones with subtle hints of coconut, a variety they claim tastes like Jolly Ranchers (and it sort of does). Come for a fun field trip to celebrate mango season—just keep an eye on their Instagram, where they announce if and when they’ll be open. video credit: Ryan Pfeffer" - Ryan Pfeffer

Open porch packed with over a dozen seasonal varieties. I got there early in the morning and was graciously guided through their offerings - even hunting me down a few Bombay. Thank you for making my visit memorable!

Really expensive. $5.50 per pound. Other places around are selling mangoes at $1.50 a pound. They seem to have a huge variety of mangoes. The list includes about 40 different kinds of mangoes. It's not like a farm you can go around. Just approach a table and pick the mangoes from boxes.

Yelp
Mango Men is a wonderful mango grove that sells and ships mangoes. They grow 80-100 different varieties. Come out and help this mom and pop business. This weekend is the last weekend for the year. 10:00-4:00pm. July 19-20th. I tried half a dozen mangoes and they were all wonderful. I was delighted to find that they had piña colada and other high demand mangoes. Don't miss this opportunity to get to Homestead for mangoes this season!
