I have come to this spot for the cycling services multiple times over the years and just never had the time to stop in for food till this evening with a friend. It was an amazing experience, the Jerk Salmon was flaky, flavorful and hot. My friend Thor if hay enjoyed the double stack burger as well. The Rum punch was fruity, flavorful , and potent. Across the board great service from begin to end. I will be returning for sure with my wife next time!

First 10/10 I’ve ever given a restaurant. Food and vibe so good I had to write a review before even leaving! Jerk chicken and waffles (thank me later). The staff is so attentive and friendly! Honestly, if I lived in New York, they’d be sick of me!

Vibes on a Wednesday night were perfect. Chill,but lively, food top notch, never disappointed. Brought my dad for the first time and he wants to come back before his trip is over. Staff is always so kind. Love this spot! Small menu but everything is a banger made w love!

The jerk wings were 10/10!! So delicious and so tender that it fell off the bone before I could pick it up! We had the salmon and the jerk chicken which were very good. We also tried the cheesecake and the chocolate truffle cake which was amazing! The service was fast and super friendly. Will be coming back for sure!!

Omg, I have been hearing so much about this restaurant and I finally found the time to check it out. My friend and I were pleasantly impressed. The restaurant is cozy. We sat at the bar first because a football game was playing and my friend just had to watch. The bartender Tanya is amazing. Such a bubbly and inviting personality, we talked like we were old friends catching up, not to mention her drinks were on point. I definitely recommend the Brooklyn Mule and Casablanca. When space freed up in the dining room and when the game was over we took a table and the hospitality and good service continued with Shadia our server who took care of us. Food was amazing. We started off with the fish tacos and quad mac. Listen…if you could see the smile on my face just thinking about this. Amazing is an understatement. If this was all I ate I would have been satisfied but it continued. I ordered the whole jerk fish which was Orata. I actually never had that fish before but I am so glad I did. It was mouthwatering and downright delicious. My friend had the oxtail meal to which she loved. You know food is good when you start dancing in your seat. Overall we had a blast. The music was great, the service was awesome and the food was spectacular. Will definitely be coming back. Excited to try their brunch menu.

I’ve been coming to MangoSeed for years (that should tell you something in itself). I love it here. The food, the staff, the vibe, especially the music. It’s such a cozy, and welcoming environment. My go-to’s are the fish tacos, the plantain, and jerk wings. You can’t go wrong visiting MangoSeed. You’ll be just as hooked as I am.

Mangoseed Restaurant just earned a permanent spot on my brunch list! The food was beyond delicious — I ordered the oxtails and grits and it was unbelievably tender, rich, and packed with flavor. My friend got the jerk salmon and waffles and we ended up sharing because it was too good not to taste — sweet, spicy, perfectly cooked, and so satisfying. Do yourself a favor and start with the Quad Mac as an appetizer. Creamy, cheesy, crispy on top — we were literally scraping the plate. On top of the amazing food, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. Friendly service, great music, and plates that make you excited for the next bite. If you want brunch that truly hits every single time — Mangoseed is the one. I’m already planning my next visit!

Mangoseed has reopened. I went for dinner and truly enjoyed the food. If you remember MangoSeed, they are back. Not in the same location but close. They took over the old Zurilee location. (Remember their oxtail pizza?) You have to enter the Burrow Brothers Bike Shop in order to visit MangoSeed. Once you do, you'll be in for a treat. Presentation, portion size, taste and soundtrack all on point. We tried the following: Jerk Salmon Tacos with homemade beet tortilla guac, pickled cabbage and chipotle aioli Braised Oxtail with rice & peas, and sautéed spinach Double Cauliflower with roasted cauliflower on a bed of creamy cauliflower puree Jerk Chicken Bites with house Jerk sauce Eddo Mash with parmesan and oxtail gravy drizzle Sugarcane Lemonade Brooklyn Mule My favorite was definitely the chicken bites. Just the right amount of spice in the Jerk sauce. I really enjoyed the tacos as well. They make their own beet tortillas.Shoutout out to the portion size for the oxtails. Had enough for leftovers. This is also a great spot for patrons who don't eat meat. Staff was nice. The music was on point! The back area is split up in 2 rooms. A tinge narrow but ample seating.

Very cute and cozy like a little hideaway you have to go through the bike store to enter!!! The front bar has its own vibe and the back where more tables are is its own vibe! Great food I've heard but we only came for them unique drinks. Next time we'll try the food. Staff and bartender were really cool and personable. I'll definitely be back.

Well Mangoseed is back! Sorta??? Stopped here before heading to kings theatre for a show, it wasn't far from the venue, and the menu had appetizers we were intrested in. It has a cute speakeasy feel...after passing the bike shop area you're in a cozy restaurant with velvety furniture and decor. The space is small, but that's how speakeasy styles are. The staff was friendly buy didnt seem knowledgeable about the menu items. We know that it recently opened back but it feels like a more soft launch then we are in buissness. The food was not what we remembered from the old mangoseed and the choices were a bit limited. Nothing came out hot and we had to ask some of our accompanying sides. I'm sure with more time, things will get better.

Came here in a Friday night with my boyfriend and had a great time. We both ordered the jerk chicken plate and loved it. The plantains looked dry but to my surprise they were not. The chicken was a little spicy and we liked that. Big disk, I ate 2/3s and have some lunch tomorrow, my bf finished. Drinks are also great! I got the lemonade and my bf had the henny one. I can't wait to come back to try brunch!

Every meal I've had here has been AMAZING. Jerk Salmon and Waffles... DYNAMITE. Coconut Chicken and Waffles... OUT OF THIS WORLD. Jerk Chicken and Waffles... SCRUMPTIOUS. The mimosas I've had were all great - I particularly favor the mango mimosa. From the looks of the menu, they have an extensive, well-selected rum menu. There're happy hours throughout the week and the location is so conveniently-located. Will definitely be a staple for me!

Always top tier experience. Drinks Food Service . I love these things on the menu: Brunch Menu: Jerk Salmon & Waffles, Parmesan Grits, Mac & Cheese Fish Tacos (Dinner menu). Drinks . They don't miss. I don't eat meat but my friends love the Oxtails, rice. Ambiance: It a speak easy. So the restaurant is now in the back of a Bike shop. Don't get scared your at the right place

Perfect example of not judging a book by the cover...this place is an underground treasure. Food was AMAZING and service excellent. Nice quality spot to have an intimate dinner or go out with a couple friends.

The food was amazing. Jerk chicken was outrageous. And the burger was delicious too. Perfect spot for a date or pre-show at the Kings Theatre. Really cool entrance through a bike shop. Definitely recommend it, guy. Super cute.

Cute , cozy spot... This fish tacos and passion fruit mimosas were Delish! Big shout to Julie I server and to the bartender (lady with the dreadlocks ) for great experience ! Definitely will be back!

They've reopened and we were originally excited but it's clear they cannot keep up with the previous standards they set for themselves. The space is a quarter the size as the bike shop is in front now and their menu has about 4 items on it....... Also found out that this business is not black owned as a women by the name of Julie Petrusak is the owner.

Accidentally finding this speakeasy was a fun surprise! Delicious food. Kind service. Cool vibes! I'll definitely visit again.

The food is alright. It isn't bad but it's nothing that has blown me away. Their selection of rum and liquor from across the Caribbean was impressive. The vibe is cool but it's so narrow and small in there. The staff is polite. For the music, vibe and service it's a yes. For the food I would say don't kill yourself to get there. I think the menu lacks imagination and needs to be elevated. Why pay dine in restaurant prices for hole in the wall basic food. You can literally cut the cost and get the same quality from any Jamaican take out place. Sorry not sorry ‍

We decided on MangoSeed when friends were in town and had time for brunch. We wanted to try a new spot and heard good things about MangoSeed. Plus, it's always great to have an opportunity to support a Black-owned business. The four of us sat down to dine shortly after they opened. If you want to beat the crowd, I suggest doing the same. Around the table were orders of mimosas, which come in various flavors, salmon pastrami, jerk salmon shakshouka, jerk chicken and waffles, pancakes with turkey bacon, braised oxtail with parmesan grits, and macaroni and cheese. The mimosa mixing could use some improvement, as the juice was thick in texture and a little too sweet. They're served in carafes to the ordering individuals when ordered as unlimited, and they did keep our refills coming regularly. Everyone loved their meals. I tried a forkful of the jerk salmon and it was both seasoned and cooked perfectly. The oxtail and grits were delicious and filling. They definitely know what they're doing with grits, as they weren't undercooked and the consistency was nice. The unexpected star was the salmon pastrami. I don't usually care for smoked salmon, but this was something else! We were all very impressed by this appetizer. On entry there were several signs about them being cash only, which we didn't know ahead of time. After searching the surrounding area for an ATM, we went back only to find that there was an ATM within the restaurant that they didn't mention. These small things aside, we had a nice meal with friends and would return in the future.

I meant to write this review a while ago. I went to brunch on a Sunday and the food was good but my friends and I agreed that the service was off. First, we stood around for a few minutes without being greeted. We had to approach to tell them we had a reservation; our entire party wasn't there so we were told to wait. Not at the bar, just standing. Then, the menu was limited for brunch, wish worked in our favor since we were going for the chicken and waffles but damn. I think the worst part was the issue with the drinks. We were told the bottomless drinks were for the table, the waiter messed up because the bottomless was actually per person. Again, fine if that was stated in the beginning. We asked to speak to a supervisor because this was a big mistake to make. I think every order was $45 maybe, on top of our food. We were given an apology but told the bill stands. We thanked them, paid, tipped and left. We didn't go back because the bill jumped $150 and we were a table of educated women being gaslit into thinking we misunderstood.... after they apologized and admitted the mistake It's been some time, so I may try again.

Came here twice in 2 weeks. The brunch is THAT good. I've been long ago but don't know how I'm just writing a review. The drinks are delicious! I've only had the margaritas but the guava and mango ones are to die for! They will add cheer to any day! For food: my family and I had jerk salmon w/ waffles, fried chicken w/ waffles, and fried fish with Parmesan grits! Whew! I didn't know I even liked grits until I had these Parmesan ones. Grits aren't a thing in my Jamaican culture but I decided to go out on a limb and try them b/c I love cheese (my poor stomach doesn't but my tastebuds do and that's my business). The jerk salmon was done to perfection and makes me wanna ask the chef what kinda frying pan he/she/they used to cook it b/c I need to go and buy the same one for that level of crisp! The waffle bought me back to my college days when I use to think I was a pastry maker handling that 360 rotating waffle maker. Super delicious! I also ordered a side of plantains b/c the Caribbean gurl in me couldn't see it on the menu and pass it up! EVERYTHING was very good! The portion size is large. I had enough grits to last me the next day. I can't wait to be back! I can taste the salt on the rim of my margarita glass already!

Some of the best jerk chicken I've ever had. My mouth wanted more. I was dying from the spice and smiling from the flavors at the same time. Great happy hour, too!

I haven't had MangoSeed in years. I was heading to the Jasmine Sullivan show and wanted to get some quick food and drinks before the show. We tried Caribbean Social but their customer service was terrible so we walked a few blocks up to MangoSeed. We missed happy hour by mere minutes. It ends at 6 but I really think it should go to 7. Unfortunately they were out of drinks that contained ginger beer. But we got the passion fruit rum punch and it was good, sweet with a nice kick. I got the fish sandwich which was really good. Huge piece of fish. My sister got the wings and sweet plantain. All in all everything was good and the waitresses/servers were working hard. I would definitely come back.

Super cute place, just right small menu of great Caribbean food and delicious cocktails. Welcoming staff. It's located in the back of a bike shop.

Solid brunch spot, went around opening time on a weekend without reservation but got busy quickly. Seems they have joined with their sister restaurant Zurilee. Oxtail and grits was so good, the best dish on a cold gray day. $28 for a hefty portion, plus parm grits was thicker than most and definitely cheesy and savory. Friend had the namesake burger and it was good too. Definitely trying the jerk pizza next time. Endless mimosa was a good value too, they let you have 1 carafe/person at a time. You're allowed to order more flavors but when a new carafe/flavor arrives you have to forfeit one from the table. Service was great. Bathrooms are clean.

Everything I said 4 years ago still stands. The food here is too delicious! Even the strawberry that goes in the prosecco is yummy! I have tried to stop by on days I forget this spot is closed and I curse my belly for for not wanting anything besides MangoSeed because those jerk fish tacos are divine and neither to be trifled with nor compared. I can't wait to go back!

Super cute casual sit down bar type restaurant with decent selection and good food. The oxtail pizza was made using a brick oven. I was worried the meat would be too gamey since oxtail is a really strong flavor but it was not at all. Perfectly balanced and they didn't skimp on any ingredients. The jerk chicken was spicer than anticipated. The chicken was very tender. The Brussels with trout were a great combination. The Brussels were well seasoned with a slight lemony taste. It suited the fish. The atmosphere is really retro hip and the decorations are super unique.

MangoSeed + Zurilee is another Flatbush Ave gem were Sunday brunch is from 11-6pm! It's a Caribbean restaurant playing the tunes, while serving both Caribbean staples and brick oven pizza. They have $22 carafes of rum punch as well as flavored mimosas . Where else can you get a jerk chicken or oxtail pizza ? We tore that pizza and Mac and cheese up! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and wearing masks. There's also hand sanitizer on each table. The food came out quick and was giving me life. You can't go wrong dining here.

I came for brunch on a Sunday mid afternoon, and we (table for 3) were seated right away. The service was attentive and friendly. The food came out quickly and it was a seamless dining experience. The food: amazing! We ordered fried chicken, jerk chicken, and jerk salmon with waffles and mac and cheese to share. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. My chicken and waffles were so delicious. The Mac and cheese was very different, the Gorgonzola really packs a punch and made it very unique I must say. Drinks: we got a carafe of mimosas and they were also delicious Verdict: I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.

Sunday Funday!! The official end of the summer has come upon us. I was greatful that the weather was nice today, so I took advantage of it and BRUNCHED!! Upon entering I didn't see a host, so I sat at the bar while I was waiting for my friend. There was a DJ and he was great. Playing all the necessary Brunch vibe tunes. When my friend arrived we were seated quickly. The seating area is a bit cramped. We were close to both our neighbors and when we had to get up it disrupted them. They have a 22 dollar unlimited brunch drink menu that included tropical flavored mimosas and rum punch but we opted against it. I had just the mango mimosa which was just ok. For our food. I got the chicken and waffles It was ok. I didn't finish it so portions were a good size. The reason for 3 stars is my friend wanted salmon but the menu only had it with waffles (18) and in a tomato sauce. She asked the gentlemen if she could get it with plaintains instead. He stated he would just charge it separately because there was no substitutions. We expected just one small piece of salmon with nothing else on the plate to be maybe 13 bucks. When the bill came it was 17 bucks. No where were we told how much it would be. If that was the case we could've just gotten it with the waffle for 1 dollar more. We wanted to talk to management but apparently no management was there according to the waiter. That's weird. So fyi a small piece of salmon with no side is 17 bucks here. Definitely not worth it. Nothing was over the top in flavor. I like the sister of the establishment more. Zurilee . I'd rather go there

I've been inside toooo long! My girlfriends and I came out Mangoseed for Galentine's. We enjoyed happy hour drinks, shots, pizza, steak and fries, and fish tacos in their heated mostly covered outdoor space. Temperature checks upon entering and hand sanitizer on the tables. We had a great time. Can't wait to do it again. Covid safe outings.

Let's just say I have fallen in love with jerk salmon. The food here is so good. It is flavorful and melts in your mouth. The customer service is very personal and friendly. My server Fiona was excellent. My drinks were yummy. It is my 2nd time here. And again it was an amazing experience. Thank you to the owner for making my visit the best. Definitely a must come back

The place isn't bad , but the menu pricing isn't equal to the quality of the food. I loved the Caribbean vibe & music. Please look at the picture of my meal below . When that little slither of salmon came out of the kitchen, I was so disappointed . They charged an additional $13 to add the Jerk Salmon to the pasta . So I paid $26 in total for that little slither of Salmon and some pasta . P.S. There's a happy hour on weekdays from 5pm-7pm. They have $5-$7 drinks during this time.

Brunch on Sunday. sat in the backyard kind of hot. Dj was excellent on point. a little decor wouldn't hurt and maybe a fan for the yard. I had the cooconut crusted fish with parmesan cheese but i couldn't tell the fish was coconut, and the grits was sub par. I've def. had way better. My mom had the oxtail with the parmesan grits. the oxtail was just one piece of bone and a piece of meat. again grits sub-par. but the drinks def. was good. the Hibiscus/Sorrel drink was very sweet but good, i wasn't feeling the pineapple mimosa. Service def. need to be faster especially getting the drinks out. i would go for the dj and unlimited drinks

I decided to break away from Caribbean Social and try this restaurant out, for my late birthday dinner. Great choice! Had the rum punch, Jerk Salmon, slaw, plantain along with dessert. Everything was delicious. Facility was clean and staff was awesome and friendly. Great service, definitely will revisit and bring friends.

Myself and about 6 other friends were in town for Afropunk and this place was listed as one of the best Caribbean spots in the area. We went on a Friday night and they had a DJ, so after a few of the rum punch drinks that were on happy hour we were dancing in our seats. My oxtails were hit the spot and the rice was the best I had while in Brooklyn. The place was packed with large parties so the service was a bit slow. If you come with 2 people or less sit at the bar!

After a less than stellar incident at Caribbean Social, my best friend and I found ourselves at Mangoseed for Sunday afternoon brunch. We were pretty late for brunch and it was a cold day. After being turned away at Caribbean Social, we just wanted to eat and enjoy ourselves. When we arrived, the place was packed, even by the bar. The DJ was playing some wicked soca tunes and the crowd seemed to be having a great time. The host instantly greeted us and advised us that the wait wouldn't be too long. Within 10 minutes, he had a table for us in the heated back area (1000 points!). We sat down and ordered a round of mimosas, I had the mango and my best friend had the guava. The mimosa's were soooooooo darn good; I drank it so fast, almost as if it was Hi-C fruit punch on a hot day. My best friend enjoyed hers so much that she ended up ordering a carafe to enjoy. Now onto food - we both had the jerk salmon and waffles. Firstly, very unique and perfect take on a southern dish within a dominantly west-indian community; that tells me they are serious about standing out. Genius, in fact! The salmon was amazing. It was prepared grilled, perfectly seasoned with a dry jerk rub and topped with a fruit compote. On top of the waffles was also a dollop of whipped cream (1000 points more!). I left that table wanting another entree afterwards lol. They ran out of a few items when we got there so, my guess is that the earlier you plan to dine, the better. Service was great and attentive. Staff are very friendly and personable. The location is somewhat small but the back area makes up for it as it adds more dimension and a sense of beauty as the light shines thru. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the food and service. I almost want to send a big thank you to Caribbean Social for turning us away or else we would never have had an opportunity to dine at MangoSeed.

Wow, I was looking at some of my past reviews and came across my original one from 2010. I am dismayed that I never updated it. I have long since moved away from Brooklyn in 2015, but about a year after my previous review, I gave them another try. They had redone their menu, moving away from the salmon theme into more of a Caribbean/soul food theme. I became a regular as it was within walking distance from my apartment, eating there all the time, particularly for brunch. I would mostly sit at the bar, being served by La La, who even though I'm so bad with names, I remembered her name because of her good vibe. This place will always be one of my favorite spots there in my old hood. This is one of the first nice restaurants to come into this part of Flatbush back in the days and glad to see they're still in business and have good reviews. I'm not surprised. The food is delicious and so are the vibes. I highly recommend this spot.

MangoSeed lets have a little conversation! WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD? I came here with my friends for brunch and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. The food was great the drinks was even greater. I love how everyone gets their own pitcher like thing for the unlimited drinks. That is dope! The DJ was LIT AF... if I had a little more space I would've been dancing. I definitely recommend coming here. I do wish that this place had a dance floor or a "lounge" area... that is the only thing missing. I would say its pretty intimate, so if you are looking for a "day party vibe" this is not the spot for that.

My boyfriend and I were HANGRY after spending the better part of the day walking around the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and a quick Yelp search brought us to MangoSeed. It was a very hot afternoon, and their tasty sangria and mojitos were just the thing to cool us off. We were lucky enough to get the last jerk chicken they had for the day! My fish tacos were intensely packed with flavor, too. Everything here is seasoned so well, and I know that Caribbean cuisine usually is, but this place stands out! Would definitely come back to try the jerk salmon if I'm ever in the neighborhood again. :)

Came here for dinner Friday night and they were closed. They're supposed to close at 11, but they were closed at 9pm with no sign on the gate. If you went out of business or changed your hours, say so

Wanted to find a black owned brunch spot and found this gem in the neighborhood through Yelp. I had a mango margarita which was sooo good. Not too strong, not too weak...a perfect balance. I tried the Jerk Salmon and waffles because I never had it before and the bartender (I sat at the bar) said it was one of her favs so I trusted the opinion. It was really good. The salmon was spicy and well cooked. Blackened on the outside and medium on the inside, like I like it. Didn't expect to enjoy my meal so much but I did. I will be back...for the drinks and the food. Great customer service at the bar. You also need to show proof of vax to get in.

In your mind's eye, what would be the perfect rendition of Oxtail? Would it be melt-in-your-mouth tender? Some perfect blend of gravy and jus to coat the meat, making it juicy and punch-full of flavor? Would it make you close your eyes to savor each taste? Amazing (crazily!) this rendition exists at MangoSeed and the portion size is humongous, too. It's worth the hour trip out to Flatbush from Manhattan for this dish. BUT WAIT! Don't forget the Jerk Chicken because is also ahhh-mazing. It tastes like the best rotisserie chicken and it is fall-off-the-bone perfect. Their happy hour cocktails are strong, too. I will return in a stretchy dress very soon.

If you do not have a particular item, just state that it is sold out instead of having customers pay the same price for less product. Mangoseed is a restaurant that I have grown to love during COVID however, the last couple of times that I have placed an order on Uber eats they have consistently let me down. From incorrect orders entirely to now skimping on the product. I ordered their jerk salmon (which I've ordered before) and received a portion for a child. It also states this item is supposed to come with spinach but yet AGAIN there is just an insane amount of cabbage. Please do better.

I think I've slept on Mangoseed. I first came in 2014 and didn't enjoy the 3 sides I threw together for an entree to make up for the lack of vegetarian options. I also found it pricey for what I was getting. That said, I've returned twice since and the winner here is happy hour. It's low key and has a nice vibe. They also do double happy hour which is dope. 4-7 and then 10-close. The drinks and strong and cheap and there's a complimentary shot with Yelp check-in.

So I've only been for brunch and every time it is packed! They do not take reservations and it is first come first serve. If you don't get there early be prepared to wait (or just go to Zurilee - it's sister restaurant). The ambiance is pretty cool. I love how the intimate restaurant opens up into the street. For brunch there is a live DJ that really knows how to set the mood. And the servers, hostess, and bartenders always deliver great service. Since there was only an hour left of brunch we ordered two pitchers of mimosas; mango and passion fruit. The pitchers aren't that big; 5/6 glasses per pitcher. Bottomless mimosas is $22 per person with a time limit of 2 hrs. I ordered the jerk chicken and waffles. They were both good... just not together. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and tender. The waffle (just a semi-circle) was perfect; neither heavy nor light. The fruit compote (banana) tastes good with both the waffle and jerk chicken. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're in Brooklyn

I have very mixed feelings about Magoseed. I absolutely love the service, but for some reason everything I eat from there is so damn spicy. How do you have only jerk wings and no bbq chicken? the fish taco is SPICY (fire hose required). The only thing NOT spicy is the baked macaroni pie. That I must say is great and motherwatering not peppered up. Everything else requires TUMS or MILK to sooth the burning you will get from heart burn. I have never had heart burn so bad in my 39 years of living. I think I will stick with their sister restaurant ZuriLee Restaurant 2 doors down. NOW they have great service, pizza and drinks. CONS: 1. NOT to many selections on the menu 2. Drinks are watered down even when it's not happy hour 3. Back is closed for construction. (how do you decide to have construction in the summer?) PROS: 1. I went here on a date as I was looking for somewhere close by in East Flatbush. To be completely honest, if I were to do it again, I probably would not have chosen this place for a first date as the music was pounding from the minute we walked in the door. I mean to the point where by the time I left, my ears were ringing. Despite that, my date and I went along with it and and screamed over the loud music. When it came time to order, I wanted the jerk chicken with rice, but apparently they were out of the rice and peas (I'm not sure how!?) and the waiter recommended the jerk salad again. I was sad to forego the rice and peas but I figured, maybe this was nature's way of telling me I need to cut down my carbs. The salad was good, well dressed with a tasty vinaigrette. The jerk chicken was pretty standard, but nothing too special compared to all the Caribbean places nearby. My date got their burger which I thought was pretty tasty - came with a flavorful chipotle sauce. But again, just an average burger, nothing to write home about. Gave this place 3 stars because you can get a solid meal here but for their prices I think i expected a little more.

Happened on this by chance. But was superbly pleasantly surprised. The counter women taking orders was very helpful as I was new. The duck was MAGNIFICENT as well as the mix vegetables and Mac n cheese. Please keep up the good work. Thank you.

I have passed this place so many times and never went in because it is always crowded. Now I know why. I went on a random Tuesday night and just missed happy hour. I ordered the fish tacos and it was delicious. The first one they brought out to me was cold and I sent it back and they were nice enough to bring me another order in 5 minutes. Was very tasty and my drink was top notch. I had a honey sidecar. It was amazing. Shout out to the bartender. Was a little pricey for other items on the menu but for what I ordered it was good. I just might be back

I've been for brunch on Sunday twice now and I'm now officially a fan of salmon with waffles. At first I was thinking....wtf...the disrespect lol (as a non-Caribbean and chicken and waffles enthusiast)...but mangoseed has officially turned me OWWTT . I've had their fish and grits, oxtails and grits, and the salmon and waffles. All of which were the BOMB and hefty portion. Unlimited mimosas for $22 from open to 2:30pm (1.5hr max). Or if that's too much, you can always opt for their rum punch that comes in single serving or a glass (just be prepared to swerve either way lol, it's strong). Their music sets a good vibe (DJs on Sunday's with a good mix of reggae and hip hop). The only reason they can't get 5 stars is because the service is a little slow and they have NO fans/air circulation in the back cover patio.

We were looking for a brunch spot in Brooklyn that had curbside dining. This is a great spot. Many people were ordering takeout so we had that entire area to ourselves. The food was good but the mimosas were better. Love the mimosa carafe...felt like 8+ glasses. At the moment the only take cash or pay online on their website.
