Mangosteen Review - International District - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There are two great things about this pop-up’s most recent location at the old Phở Bắc boat on Jackson. One, we love boats of all kinds, especially when they serve food. And two, they’ve just started selling a fried chicken sandwich. With pickled carrots, daikon, cucumbers, and buttermilk aioli, there’s already a ton of flavor. But that’s before picking one of their house seasonings or sauces to finish the chicken, which include a shake of lemon pepper, honey garlic teriyaki sauce, KFC (gochujang, honey, soy sauce, and garlic), or the Mangosteen (fish sauce, lime, garlic, and Thai chili). Order any of these with confidence, but the citrusy heat of the Mangosteen sauce complements all of the other components of this sandwich perfectly. photo credit: Nate Watters" - Carlo Mantuano

Boba Bar was absolutely AMAZING! SUPER tasty wings with that perfect crunch, the brisket was so moist with a lovely flavor, and the coffeeeeee!!! Can't emphasize it enough on how good it all was! Super cute cups, and the boba looks like a hit too! 5 out of 5, hands down, must check it out! Located in the old Pho Bac boat, with a walk up window on the side! A hidden gem for sure.👌 (ANDDDD the cups are compostable!🙌)

The hype is real. Best chicken sandwich in the state and worth every bit of the $15 price. Waffle fries are also great. Coleslaw was disappointing but I blame myself for not getting the fries. Don't make my mistake, just get the fries.

Ordered the chicken wings before and they’re delicious and a good size, not small. They have a 4 choices of sauces I think which isn’t the best but they’re good and self made. This sandwich wasn’t the best thing a bit dry. But the fries were good. It’s on the expensive side, prob because of the generous sizes. Then you can make your own tea drink make sure to make it sweet. Overall the the place is nice to visit something different.

Tien is great! I could not make up my mind and she was really patient, helpful and pleasant! Even the guys in the back are nice. Asking if I have been helped! Thank you! We will definitely be back! The boba container is convenient for traveling definitely sets it apart from other boba/tea places! You can stock your fridge with all these goodies! Definitely deserves more than 5 stars!

Came here for the beverages, walked away with a delicious dessert as well. Google Maps states that the boba bar is located in Pho Bac, but there’s 2 buildings with the same name; you’re going to want to go to the smaller red building for boba. I didn’t mean get seated with the other side but it worked out as I got pho + boba (we got our drinks and then walked over to get our lunch). Their parking lot is very small and crowded, but I was able to find parking at other shops nearby.

Seen this place on tik tok and had to try it. Wings was amazing with the double crunch, the garlic noodles awesomeness and the Boba tea was amazing. Definitely worth the trip from Tacoma.

Boba Bar has such a cool concept of adding your drink into a can! The yeti (blended lychee) was delicious and I love how they use real lychee not artificial syrups.

I’ve been gone to Mangosteen a few times and I’m hooked. I happened to notice it completely by accident while driving by because I saw the word “Mangosteen” and thought they sold actual mangosteens! But alas, they do not. I always order their wings with KFC and Mangosteen sauce, they are flavorful and crispy. I’ve tried both the chicken sando and the brisket sandwich and I felt like the brisket sandwich was a little too greasy and heavy for me but they’re both still delicious. For drinks, I am obsessed with their boba bar coffee and I get it every time! You can customize the sweetness. The super mango drink is also great and it hits the spot on a hot summer day. I’ve also tried the mango fruit tea with boba. They were out of cups so we got a bag, which I felt was a little inconvenient if you want to drink some on the go. It was pretty good but I’ve had better boba fruit teas at other places. In summary, I love this place for their amazing food and their awesome service. The people who work there are sweet and prompt. I’ve only gotten take out there (even though they have a few tables outside) and they package everything carefully and with thought. My only gripe with this place is their parking situation, they share a lot with a Pho Bac and it’s a mess. There are maybe 10 parking spots and it’s difficult to enter and get out of at busy times. I’ve learned that you should just order online and swing by to pick up.
