I purchased food in advance for a meeting. I was having with someone, and they picked out what they wanted from the menu. I ordered online using an app, then called to confirm that they received the order, including the request for extra pikliz. I paid for the extra side of pikliz, and the person I was meeting with that I was buying dinner with really really really wanted them. so I had the food scheduled so that I could get it picked up and then run to the airport to pick the person up. First of all the food was not ready until 45 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. That's crazy. It wasn't even like my friend had picked out really complicated or difficult things to make, they were all things that the restaurant should've had on hand and been able to make quickly. I get that this is a Haitian restaurant, and having lived in Haiti. I understand that things are a bit slower and relaxed there, but I was pretty sure that they understood when I called to confirm my order that they knew it had to be ready by the time it was scheduled to be picked up, in any event I was late picking up the person at the airport, we did get to the hotel and sat down to have our dinner and our meeting, and as soon as I unpacked the bag, I knew that they were problems. The order was missing the extra pikliz that we had paid for, it Did not have one of the sides, and it had the wrong drink. The bananas were dry and not hot even though I had put the food in a thermal bag as soon as I picked it up and the rice was still warm. All in all it was pretty disappointing. It was also a very expensive meal.
