Just moved to the area & i was craving korean food ! Heard good reviews of this place and I am for sure coming back ! Bulgogi Kimbap 9/10 Toppokki with fish cakes 9.5/10 I am for sure bringing my friends! Surpassed my expectations ♡

I feel horrible writing this review but I was extremely disappointed in this place. I love Tteok-bokki so I decided to try this place because of the reviews. Well.... it was absolutely awful. I couldn't finish the Tteok-bokki or the Kimbap. If you like tomato sauce then you'll like it. That's exactly what it tasted like. I don't know if they had a ln off day but I won't be back unfortunately. The Kimbap was just off, and kept falling apart when I went to pick it up. The only thing was tasted absolutely amazing was the Gyoza. The Tteok-bokki and the Kimbap was thrown in the trash. $33 thrown away. Place was very very clean... but music was extremely inappropriate and vulgar. I had no interactions with the staff since you order on a kiosk and by the time they called my number they just walked away. Overall, I will not be returning. This was just my personal experience, but I hope their business does continue to thrive.

Idk how this place has a 4.5 review, I’d even be surprised if this place has 4.0 review… 1. my tteokbokki is straight up pre-made microwave cup that I would buy from Korean markets like what the hell😭 (it was also 7.99+tax-overpriced as hell for non fresh food). it’s not even cooked properly… hard and unedible, it’s too watery. No thickness and richness from gochugang + NO FISH CAKE like tfff actually scam 2. Bulgolgi plat is 14.99+tax, and the meat barely even covers the tray how laughable…. Bottom line: THIS PLACE IS A HUGE SCAM, anyone who says this place is good never ate actual authentic Korean food because this is such a disgrace and disappointment to eat from. I’ve ate dine-in before and the food was okay + super kind people (a year ago) but this l time I took takeout and the food was HORRENDOUS, not coming back here 😐

Portions are TINY!!! Honestly it felt like someone already ate half of my food, people are nice tho But the portions are extremely small at least for me

After experiencing poor customer service from another establishment in the area, we settled on this place. We made a great decision. We ordered spicy fried chicken, spicy pork meal, spring rolls, bulgogi, and peach soda. Everything was to our liking, but the fried chicken was the best part of the meal. The chicken tastes like it had been marinated. We will definitely return and refer our friends and family.

Loved the aesthetic of the place and the service is great. On Saturdays there’s a cashier that likes to tickle so if you’re into that 🙏 The newly added jajungmyung is really good too they use udon noodles for it. Overall one of my favorite spots in riverside for Korean food ✅

Been going here for years, quality is always amazing. Love the kimbap and tteokbokki it is my favorite go to meal here. Price is good given the portions, I usually share the plates.

This is the best non Korean bbq Korean restaurant I’ve been to in the area. I’ve been coming here for years but just posting a review. They have on the menu all the popular Korean dishes and sides. Prices have gone up but it’s still affordable. The Naengmyeon was only $10.99 and dumplings (6) $5.99. They also have Korean drinks and ice cream!

Hot tofu soup was really good. I had beef soup, but you can pick seafood or veggie option. Regular spicy vs extra spicy. Pork Katsu was good. Good portion as well. I will definitely come back. Attentive service n clean in store. 7 tables with 4 chairs each table inside.

It's fine. That really does sum it up-- It's like the generic fast food Asian chains (think Waba Grill) with a veneer of Koreanness. Which doesn't really justify the inflated price; Korean food in general is becoming more expensive than it should be, thanks to fads. No banchan besides pickled radish (and not very much, at that) is a letdown for sure.

Great spot if you are craving Korean food! It is a small restaurant inside a university plaza that offers some indoor and outdoor seating. They have a decent menu to offer from kimbap, tteokbokki, cold noodles, and bibambap. Prices are okay. Their kimchi fried rice is really good, but this time I got to try their soondobu. To me, the portion for the soup is big and it comes with rice and pickled radish. However, if you are expecting side dishes like the tofu house then they don't offer it. I did get some dumplings and a korean drink to go with it and it went well together. Service was okay. They have a machine for self-ordering and self serve on utensils so not much interaction with the staff. But when I did speak with them, they were nice. Overall, this place is great to get your korean food cravings covered.

I would say I am a regular of this spot where I average 3 times a month. The food isn't always completely accurate in flavors where I would probably equate this more to fast food Korean food. However, I do like the convenience of it being next to UCR and the price for what you get. It is surprisingly filling and definitely fills the craving of late night Asian (as being one of the few places open until 10pm). My go-tos are tofu stew and bibimbap as they taste pretty close to what I expect it to taste like. I also like that tofu stew and bibimbap came with egg even when eggs were really expensive due to a shortage without increasing the cost. My friends seem to like the curry plate as well if you like Korean curry.

Came here with my little amy, we got the beef bulgogi fried rice and the Naengmyun (Cold). I really enjoyed the naengmyun since it was really refreshing, I just wish there was maybe another egg because it can get kind of boring. Maybe some protein or something else can go with it, but that is just my opinion. The Bulgogi fried rice was pretty flavorful, similar to the naengmyun there needs to be more beef. The ratio from beef to rice was off and you didn't really get a bite of beef with every piece of rice. presentation was good though and so was service, there was a new staff worker working, who was very kind and respectful. The ambience of the restaurant was nice as well. It was very clean and pretty chill.

We were at UCR for a couple of days and stopped by here to grab some lunch. Everything was great for a quick lunch. You order on a screen, and they present you with the food when it's ready, so very minimal human interaction. The katsu curry and the kimchi fried rice were delicious. I definitely recommend this place for a quick grab and go.

Absolutely love this family owned business, everything we ordered was freshly cooked. We ordered bulgogi fried rice, bulgogi and steamed rice and a bulgogi roll. All were delicious! We will be back!

Excellent service and the food taste great; also great to go during the later hours of the day when it's not as busy. The ambiance is also good with good customer service.

A MUST !!! You NEED to try their bulgogi fries, that is my #1 order ever since it became apart of the menu. I really enjoy the food. The service is a little slow here, but it's worth the wait. Come inside the next time your with a group of friends for the perfect catch up.

Don't overlook this small eatery at the very end of business in the back of University village. Initially we came to the village to eat something else BUT due to that business opening up at 11:30 and this one opening up at 11 we ended up here- no regrets. Now I'm a newbie to Asian cuisine but luckily I was with two friends that are quite the professionals. I ordered the bulgogi fries (safe option for me) while they ordered the Kayak curry and the Sundubu. Bulgogi fries - 5 outta 5! The meat is thin stripped and sweet. No grisel or burnt pieces. The fries are crisp and the long skinny kind so they get a ton of toppings covering them. The melted cheese did not taste like nacho cheese , it was subtly and complemented the meat. 100% kids and adults will love this. Katsu curry - large portion of rice and cabbage to compliment the curry. The chicken was on the smaller side but crispy on the outside and moist on inside. There was no potatoes, peas, or carrots in the dish we got - maybe that was an option in the touch screen ordering device they had? It shows in other people's pictures.....anyways ours did not have it and that made for some sad curry. Flavor was good though and we used some fries to dip in it. Shundubu - We ordered this spicy and oooohhgg man it sure was. The dumplings were delicious and the tofu can in clumps that reminded me of scrambled eggs rather than traditionally square tofu - but it worked because it tasted like it really soaked in the broth/flavor. There were some chopped white onions inside the broth and green onions on the top. Not much interaction with employees, not even a hello when you walk in. They have a computer screen you order from, and then after the food is made the employee will call your number for pick up. The computer asks if you want to tip....I guess that is up to you the consumer for that level of interaction.

The food is so good the chicken wings is great and the cold noodle are fire. The service is amazing they are so nice.

The food is absolutely AMAZING the worker and especially the young cashier she is so kind and just the whole restaurant staff is very welcoming and the food is so delicious and taste very homemade and authentic

Manna Grill is conveniently located in University Village, catering primarily to UCR students, and is just a short walk from campus. I visited around 11am, right after they opened, and was the first guest since it's summer and the student crowd is sparse. The interior is welcoming and freshly redecorated, with painted walls and framed artwork featuring Korean dishes throughout the space. Ordering is done at the counter. I tried the spicy squid plate (regular: $14.99), which came with rice and salad. The dish was flavorful, with perfectly stir-fried squid, onions, julienne carrots, cabbage, and green onions, all seasoned with Doenjang. It was a bit oily but not overly sweet, which I appreciated. I also ordered the chicken Katsu (regular: $14.99), which also came with rice and salad. The chicken was thin, soft, and had a nice crispy breading. However, the curry sauce was overly sweet and lacked the tanginess I was expecting. The same sauce was used for the shredded cabbage salad, which didn't work for me either. The water from the vending machine was cold but had a chlorine taste. It would be great if they could offer filtered water, maybe with a refreshing touch of cucumber or citrus. Overall, prices are on the medium to higher side, especially for a student-heavy area. Some variety in the sides beyond just rice and salad would be a nice improvement. Despite this, it's a good, convenient option close to campus.

Happened to be in Riverside the other day and needed lunch to get through a long drive. I found this place nearby and decided to give it a try. Going inside, there was plenty of seating to sit down and eat. I saw that the menu had various options such as different Korean dishes, however, I decided to go with the Chicken Katsu. I placed the order through the Kiosk, and the prices are definitely fair for the portions you are receiving. The food was ready quick, and as I was receiving the order, the employees were very kind and helpful. They already prepared my order with utensils, plenty of napkins, and asked what kind of sauces I would like. The rice and chicken katsu came out very fresh and warm. The portions were ginormous and I was able to save the other half of my meal. Overall, very satisfied with my experience and will come back whenever i'm in the area!

I've been coming here for years now. I sadly moved fork riverside but each time I'm in the area and craving Korean food. I come here. I love that there is plenty of indoor and outside seating!! I will say the restroom is a bit sketchy looking tho but it doesn't impact how I view the restaurant since it's a restroom shared among other restaurants. I have never had any bad service and the ppl here have been so nice and welcoming so no complaints. Here is stuff I've ordered in so far form here and that's I loved Manna tteoboki 1000/10 it has a little of rice cake, noddles, egg, dumplings, and fish cake!! Will say it taste sweet but the spice will get to u Bulgogi plate 9/10 still good but can't compare to others Will say I will update as I try but we shall see :))

I usually love the bulgogi fries here -- they used to be generously portioned and easily enough for two people. But for nearly $16 (which is a lot), I was really disappointed this time. If you're running low on ingredients, it would be more honest to say it's sold out rather than serve a subpar dish with barely anything on it. My husband brought it home for me today since he knows I liked it before, and when we opened it, there was barely any meat, cheese, or even fries -- just a lot of sauce. It felt more like scraps than a full meal, and definitely NOT worth the price. I'm honestly shocked and feel ripped off. This kind of corner-cutting is frustrating, especially from a place I've liked in the past. I really dislike cheap places. This is how you lose customers.

The small family style place seems like a popular hangout with the local college students. Prices are fair due to the large amount of food you get with it. I highly recommend trying the kimchi fried rice as that was probably my favorite dish out of the selection my friends and I chose from. The service was warm and friendly.

A pretty solid spot for some Korean Street food in the area! More of a fast food place that seems catered to the UCR population but it gets the job done. I found the teokbokki to be a little bit too chewy and spongy but overall the dish was done well. The highlight for me was definitely the bulgogi kimbap! Overall, while the food isn't amazing, it's a good spot for reasonably priced Korean food.

This is a really nice spot for lunch, with a variety of items! - Their spam kimbap was delicious, not too salty but perfectly flavorful (the radish was the best part!) It was a great portion size too, more filling than I expected :) - The tteokbokki cup has a little spice to it and a nice texture! I personally didn't like the fish cakes too much but I've always been a bit seafood aversive, so that's more of a me thing. Service: Staff were friendly and service was fast! Ambiance: The store is small but clean, with some outdoor seating. I'm craving the spam kimbap, I hope to come back here sometime soon!

If I could give this place Ten Billion Stars I would. Not even all the stars in the cosmos would be sufficient. Have you seen Kung-Fu Panda? Ya'member how the secret ingredient to the best food was LOVE? They put LOVE into the food here. That's all you need to know, but read on if you want. My wife and I have been coming here once or twice a year since the Pandemic. And even back then they ran the place like epic professionals. I still remember the dude who took our order those years ago, because he was reading an incredible-looking copy of Sun Tzu's "The Art of War." Frankly, when I see food workers sharpening their minds on texts like that, it says a lot of very robustly positive things about the environment in which the food is made; a disciplined one. We've been getting chicken and pork katsu curry here for a while. But one time recently we accidentally just ordered a chicken katsu plate. With... that sauce. That delicious, Heavenly sauce from on high. And they know exactly how to coat it JUST RIGHT, to perfectly compliment the crunchiness of the batter. The balance of those textures, of both sweetness and acidity in the sauce is transcendental. The salad is the most beautiful way I've ever consumed cabbage. It's shredded into Angel Hair, and given dressing in layers, so that you always have just the right amount to maintain the crunch of vegetables to cleanse the oils from the katsu off your palate. I usually skip on salads. I eat all of this one though. And the rice. If you don't have brilliant rice then your ground floor is shaky. And here? It's wonderful. I like to eat with chopsticks, and this is very chopstick-friendly rice that sticks and clumps up nicely. Exactly the way I like it. Never tastes bland, but prepared and cooked perfectly to simply TASTE LIKE RICE. So many places cannot accomplish this simple task. Without proper rice, the rest of the meal would be meaningless. But every single last grain has been made perfectly for years on end now. And most recently we tried a tteokbokki cup. We'd never had one before at all. We wanted to try some new Korean foods, and figured this place is the best Korean joint in town so why not try it here? And OH... what wonderous delights of spice! Of CREAMINESS and long, O' so long pulls of stringy mozz' clinging so desperately to those rice and fish cakes... dripping with a thick, rich and sumptuous sauce... to die for when you dump some on your rice. Took my wife to celebrate finishing her finals. I needed a place to serve us a GOOD meal. Not just to fill our stomachs, but to satisfy our hearts and souls as well, and to soothe her weary mind. The LOVE with which all food is made here has constantly satisfied both me and my wife's hearts, bodies, minds and souls. It is some of the best food I have ever had in nearly 40 years of living in Riverside. Spend your money here. Keep this place in business for the next 200 years minimum. Tell your friends.

Since graduated and I still absolutely adore Manna Grill, I wish I found it sooner! Would have made the nights studying worth it, but I'm here now! Kind of hidden in UV but well worth it! Food is great and generously portioned! Inside is comfy and spacious, owners are great too!

Would always order their kimbap although the bulgogi Kimbap can be somewhat dry it is still tasty. Service is very friendly and the ambience is also very nice. Would recommend this place if you guys are craving Korean food!

First time I ate here was several years ago. Today, we stopped in for lunch while in the area and I'm so glad I did. I had the plate with chicken katsu and curry. The katsu was fresh and crispy. The curry had good flavor with the perfect amount of heat. Friendly service, simple interior but clean and food is fresh. Can't complain. So I will definitely be coming back!

Decent Korean takeout in the area! Worth a try if you want some Korean food without making a far drive out. Read some reviews about long wait times but I called ahead and food was ready before I got there. Tteobboki cup - sauce was a bit more thin than im used to and rice cakes were a bit more soft than I would've liked but not bad at all. They also offer a full size with ramen and egg, I'd be curious to try that next time! Bibimbap - didn't come with an egg, I must've missed the option to add it on. A decent portion size but majority of it was rice. Packed with a variety of veggies though Bulgogi kimbap - the bulgogi was tasty and flavorful. I just wish it was packed with a little less rice so the pieces could be smaller and more proportionate Overall, solid food and happy to have a Korean food spot so close in the area!

Went here for a late lunch. You could dine in or take it to go. I like how the food was in to go containers. The Korean dishes offered all looked delicious. I had the Bibimbap and fried chicken wings. I was so happy that the bibimbap had king trumpet mushrooms in it. The wings were spicy, but not too spicy. I also tasted the bulgogi kimbap roll. It was delicious as well. There were a few people working and we had to wait a little for our food, but everything came out nice and hot. There's a tv that we watched music videos on.

Food was good and portion sizing is pretty good for the value. A friend had the cold noodles and noted that it is not fully cooked, but good flavor. Another friend had the the curry katsu plate and noted that the curry tasted a bit off, but liked the taste of the katsu (well seasoned). Bibimbap was good for the size but besides the gochujang, there is little flavor. Gimbap was loaded and had a good taste to it -- bulgogi was not too over seasoned and a slight bit sweet. Had a good crunch too from the radish. No service as it is one of those restaurants where you order and get your food to a table. Ambiance is interesting as they are playing K-Pop MV on the TV with the occasionally Christmas special song. Not particularly wowed by the food as it does not feel "hot out of the kitchen" but the prices are reasonable for the portion.

We have ordered from them before this and they've always had good food. But today we placed an order through grub hub, and somehow our order info was stolen. Someone went and stole our order about 10 minutes before my husband got to the restaurant. The restaurant was gracious and kind to us about replacing the order even before they got confirmation that the fulfillment service would cover the costs. The food is always fantastic, but today the highlight was the customer service. I sincerely thank you Manna Grill for your kindness and care during a stressful situation.

This is my first time here so I wanted to order something that I was familiar with. It's got nice flavor, but I'm still searching for the meat! (The dark spots are grill marks) BUT IT'S TASTY! I think I will try something else off of the menu the next time... chicken katsu?! Service was very pleasant

I normally love their portion size for the price but their new item of black bean noodles, the portion size is not it. It shows on the picture its almost filled to the top but when I open its half way. I asked for possible maybe more and I would pay for it but he said no due to portion size. Although aside from this I really enjoy the food.

This is my second time at Manna and it's legit. The first time I swung by I got the tteokbokki and it was on point. Everyone that works here is super friendly. Today, I went for the naengmyeon with bulgogi anr the cold noodles changed the game. It's tough to find authentic spots in Riverside but this is the K-food spot

This is a small local Korean restaurant. The owner (cashier), he is so caring and friendly to everyone. I think this is a family run restaurant. Ambiance is alright nothing crazy, simple design. Spicy rice cake is a bit too sweet. Bibimbap is okay. Kimbap is good! There are not many Korean restaurants like this in Riverside. Therefore, this is good for its price.

The food is always a great portion and always fulls me up. My friends and I always get the kimbap with meat but we noticed the price was risen and we are sadden by it. Service is quick and great. Ambiance the k-pop music can be alittle loud.

First time trying this spot. I ordered delivery. * Curry katsu w/ chicken - 8/10 The curry sauce was well spiced and right amount of saltiness. The katsu chicken was crunch and complemented the curry and rice. Came with coleslaw but didn't care for it. * Kimbap Roll 5/10 Didn't care for the rolls. They were okay. Felt like it was missing something. * Kimchi Fried Rice 6/10 It felt like they whipped up the rice last minute and mixed it with Kim chi. Felt like something was missing. Tasted ok. Could have used more Kim chi or seasonings. I couldn't find the Kim chi in the rice. * Japchae 9/10 This was my favorite and I would order it again. Garlic-e, well seasoned and cooked nicely with the veggies and bulgogi. Overall the food is okay. PROS: offers delivery, good service CONS: certain dishes don't have strong flavors.

The food was great. Loved the fried rice. My favorite is their Japchae with beef. The service was great! Very friendly staff. I'm a minimalist so I like the restaurant. I highly recommend this place. Will come back again.

Love the chicken curry katsu from here! It's my go-to order whenever I come here and it's great every time. The portion sizes are great too definitely recommend.

It was really okay. I usually get the spicy pork bulgogi and the spicy rice pellets. I go with someone who loves their cold noodles in the icy broth and their bimbimbap. What sick's out to me is the flavors of their spicy pork bulgogi. It's not a mess of flavors but I can still enjoy the texture of the meat and the flavor of the sauce it was cooked in. It's not too spicy but the spice is like a texture to add to the tenderness of the pork. I'll always get this. It's my spot for it.

I can say nothing negative about the food because the flavors are so spot on, I can have it daily and still love it. There isn't the heavily produced or from a packet taste. It's consistent every single time! I always get the spicy cold noodles and the amount of noodles to veggies ratio is just perfect. The spicy sauce is too right and I want for naught. And when I do want more spice, I'll get a cup of tteokbukki and stump it in. The overall taste mixes my two fave delicate palettes into one mega amazing meal! The one thing I think MG can improve is their service. It's tough arriving to pick up my meal after my app tells me it's ready but have the front desk tell me it will be another 10-15 minutes... when my meal is ready to be picked up behind him. I also tried ordering waaaay ahead when I know I'd have to order more but when I arrived, hearing the guy say it wasn't ready and the kitchen exclaim "It's that time already?!" wasn't... very encouraging. In the end, I waited for my food as if I'd just ordered it right then. So I hope this improves!
