Amazing sandwiches!! If you’re looking for a speak-easy with a great front, this is the place! While photos aren’t allowed in the cocktail bar, the sandwich shop up front does! Service was also great!! From the bouncers to the cashiers at the shop, everyone was friendly and super nice. Shout out to their food !! Tried their french onion and the cubano - definitely recommend them!! My favorite was the french onion - so good! Can’t wait to come again!!

Had an amazing sandwich at a good price. Best I’ve had in Austin. Cute little shop with some nice plants and decor. Will definitely be back.

This place is a gem for anyone in need of a good sando downtown. I work about a block away and was turned onto Manny's by my gf. I saw a French dip on the menu and I was in. After recruiting a few work buddies, we walked over. We got an club, the dip, and the open faced smoked salmon. All were great portions and delicious. The club was huge and the dip came with ample au jus. Great house made kettle chips. We also each got the Agua Fresca options. I had the cucumber lime option, it was fantastic. Prices are in line with quality and serving size. Check this spot out.

Thoroughly impressed. Yes it's expensive but what isn't now? With that in mind I had very high standards that were met. The server was an absolute delight. He was so welcoming. He went out of his way to make our experience perfect. The sandwiches were hefty. I got the cubano and there was so much meat pressed in there, it was flavorful the pickles were zingy and fresh. The bread was crispy and chewy. My husband got the club and again loaded with meat and toppings. Perfectly chewy crusty bread. The kettle chips were addictive. Very little room inside to eat but the patio is gorgeous.

Stopped here for a sandwich before a a show at Antone's. Had the BEST Cubano sandwich, the crunchiest kettle chips, and a couple agua frescas you can actually order with tequila or rum added. We also ordered the Crying Tiger (order the sauce on the side 🥵🌶️) and each sandwich with chips was about $16 or $18 but they were pretty hefty and filling. The photo is only one half of the 'wich. BTW this sandwich shop is the entrance to Powder Room.

Cute little spot, and tasty sandwiches! The Croque Madame was missing the apples on both orders— but other than that everything was great!

Mannys was the best part of the entire experience. We walked in on a Sunday and the server at the front, Ashley, was attentive and friendly. It brightened my evening and reminded me of old Austin. Other servers in that building could take a page out of her book. The service at Mannys, the sandwiches and the. cookies were the best part of that entire establishment. I hope the manager maintains a good relationship with the front business.

The best sandwiches IVE EVER HAD!!! I actually don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat another sandwich again. Food in general has been ruined for me. We had the grilled cheese and birria sandwiches they were so unbelievably amazing, each in their own way. I can’t wait to try their other ones. Brandon was awesome and very friendly. I wish i could order from here in bulk for the rest of my life!!!!! The cookie was also very good

I don't know if I describe in words what a cool spot this is. and honestly I would would end the review here to keep the mystery, but I'm going to give it my best shot to do it justice... Manny's is the front and marketed concept of this space. It's a super cool and vibey sandwich shop, Think Miami vibes and they offer a great line up of made-to-order sando's and cookies. I wish I had been able to order from Manny's directly, but we were not there for Manny's, we were there for the Powder Room. Their speakeasy, which truly lived up to the word in every way. Upon entry they take all party members phones and lock them up and hand you the key. They then take you to through a swanky hallway to your table. The space is absolutely gorgeous, think sexy 70's in the best way! From velvet, warm wood tones, low lighting, comfortable seating and a life size leopard in the middle of the bar (I think leopard, I am sorry I am not totally familiar with my big cats!). This was the type of place, the moment I sat down you could not have told me I wasn't "cool", I felt cool just being there! It was a complete vibe in the best way and the escape of my phone made it even more magical. You were forced to be in the moment and it could have been one hour or three, I couldn't have told you, but I didn't care because I was at Powder Room. The cocktail menu was styled in a retro magazine/coffee table book and was super fun. It had your drink horoscope, line up of cocktails with tasting notes and also mocktails and light snacks. I started with the "No one gets out of here alive", which was also the Aries beverage of choice. It's sort of a savory marg with red bell pepper and spice. It was nice and a greater starter. i then went into a mezcal old fashioned per the hostess rec and it was fabulous in every way... We of course needed a sweat treat and got their Nutella cookie which was warmed and delivered to order, messy and delicious, just how I like it! The experience and space is just something you need to experience for yourself. It's somewhere I cannot wait to return to and will highly recommend to all my friends, family and fellow Yelpers to check out. From the service, atmosphere, and beverages it's a 5/5. I am so made at myself for not writing down the hostess name, Zara and our wonderful server, Briana? I will definitely be updating as soon as I remember, but until next time...!

Visited Manny's earlier to try out their sandwiches! I've heard a lot about them and didn't realize they're right downtown! Street parking is available, but I prefer to park in the Chase garage that is right across the street. I landed on ordering the Birria ($14) and their Lemonade ($4), and had a few takeaways! While the sandwich was decent, I believe the bread could've been a lot less soggy, and more flavor could've been added (it was a bit bland unfortunately). The consume also lacked flavor, but overall the food was presented well. On the other hand, the service was amazing and the cashier informed me on the menu and gave me his recommendations. This would be a nice place to come if you're looking for a quick bite and in the area, or if you're working downtown.

A quick downtown lunch led me to this spot, where I tried the tomato and peach "salad", though it was more of a composed plate than a traditional salad. The mix of tomatoes, peaches, and shishito peppers had great potential, though the peppers could have used a deeper char. The highlight was the buttery toasted bread, which makes me confident their sandwiches must be excellent. Overall, it's a charming place for brunch or lunch.

New spot downtown launched its soft opening this week through April 25. Cute and casual chic outdoor décor. Pleasant service as we (colleagues) were greeted by the owner, Jason, while we browsed the menu. I ordered the BLT sandwich and opted for the side of kettle chips. The sandwich was delicious and the portion was generous. Menu prices are reasonable considering the location. I can't wait to try their happy hour at the Power Room; an adjacent interior spot to enjoy cocktails and small bites. Overall solid experience - I do recommend!

We absolutely loved this new(ish) Austin restaurant! The vibe from the street is so luscious and beachy that we stopped in for lunch on a weekday when we passed by. The decor is perfectly curated and makes you feel like you stepped into a sandwich shop in a beach town. The staff were helpful and gave good recommendations! They even gave us a tour of the no-phone speakeasy in the back while we waited for our sandwiches. The speakeasy is such a cool vibe and I love the idea of living in the moment without phones (although it was hard for my yelper self not to take a photo). Our sandwiches were great! They have gluten free bread available, and it was great too! I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was unique and had a slight kick to it. My friend got a classic turkey sandwich and loved that as well. They had refreshing aqua frescas too! Indoor and outdoor seating, with good fans and shade on the outdoor patio. We had a great time here and will definitely stop in again soon!

Grabbed a couple sandwiches after Powder Room, and were very happy with the French dip and chicken salad.

Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. I got the birria sandwich w/ beans, cilantro, lime, and an au jus for around $15. We found street parking nearby, ordered at the counter, and then ate in their outdoor seating area.

My friend and I had food poisoning after eating sandwiches at 9pm at Manny's. I was ill for 7 days. The person making the sandwiches also handled the cash register, making drinks, and menus.. all while wearing the same gloves. Ingredients are left out. Sandwich tasted so yummy but I would not come back to this spot. Not worth it. Contacted the manager twice and nobody replied.

Manny's has potential. The outdoor area is beautiful. The customer service can be better. I might come back here and try a sandwich, but I'll give it some time. Today, we ordered the salmon tartine, and the tomato tartine. The salmon was better than the tomato, but I wouldn't order either again. We were the only people there, the music outside was too loud to hold conversation, and it took about 20 minutes for the tartines to arrive at our table. When they did arrive, they were in to-go containers even though we were eating at the restaurant. The salmon tartine had a nice amount of fresh smoked salmon, but was light on the cream cheese. The tomato tartine was underwhelming.

Bread and ingredients were so fresh and yummy with the perfect spice (6/10 spice if you like spicy things). Looking forward to trying other sandwiches on this menu! Great patio.

Tried Manny's for the first time today for lunch. Me and a friend both ordered the Spring Boll salad - which was 3 shrimp on a small bed of rice noodles with cucumber, red onion, and red pepper. Tasteless except for the heat of the peppers and severely underwhelming, especially for $16. The Frescas were fine. Disappointing overall since it's right across the street from our office. Powder Room is the only redeeming quality here.

First off, l don't write many bad reviews, but for the price of these sandwiches, I felt I had to. I was so excited to hear we were getting a new sandwich shop just a few blocks from where we live so I decided to try Manny's for dinner. Staff: they were amazing. Friendly, helpful, inviting, chatty. Food: Trash. Crying tiger, which is described as "not for the faint of heart" on the menu, was dry and not very spicy. Got a side salad and received noodles with 5 slivers of cucumber, mint and sesame seeds (I was told it would be greens, but when they delivered they said this was "seasonal"). The "salad" was WAY spicier than the sandwich, so I put the cucumbers and dressing from the "salad" on the sandwich and it was edible. My biggest issue was the bread. It's like a Wonderbread version of a French baguette, loaded with cheap bread conditioner making it unnaturally soft. Would literally not go back b/c of that bread. Austin, please stop allowing these hospitality groups take over the restaurant industry without providing quality ingredients, please.

Excited for this new spot in the neighborhood! I've been here a few times now and it looks as though they are still dialing it in. The Italian is amazing, plus you get a lot of food for a reasonable price. I'm also a big fan of the chicken salad sandwich. All the sandwiches look as though they come with house made chips. The salads are some of the best salads I've had in Austin. The fruits and roots taste like a healthy fruity pebbles. Plus the patio is super cute. They even have large water bowls for my dog. Great spot, def recommend.

I had the French Dip and it was abysmal. I waited 15-20 minutes for the The soup and sandwich which were cold (I understand a French dip may take longer than normal due to the nature of the dish). It was extremely bland, little to no meat and mostly bread. Kettle chips were served which were also bland. The toast tab promoted for a tip, I asked the staff if they make a fair wage to which they replied 'no, it is low', to which I tipped 20% so they could make a fair wage % from my order. I mentioned this so we know the poor quality food wasn't a result of not tipping. The prices are outrageous for what you get with the French dip. I did not try any other dishes. I wish this place good luck as it has a great ambiance to which they have clearly put a lot of money into.

This sandwich shop has a small indoors and patio area on 5th St. I went on opening week and they still had a few things not quite set up but the staff was friendly and my dog appreciated the water bowls placed at the entrance to the patio. I ordered a pleasant and cubano w a nice heat and split it with a friend. The bread and balance of flavors were spot on. Will update as I make return visits.

Good food. We tried the Mexican chips and I loved them! The smoothie was good. Kale salad was great as well. Service was quick. Also the place was very cute

powder room is such a cool spot. beautiful interior with a creative drink menu. loved the tequila drink with gummy bears! Adam our waiter was amazing and took great care of us. provided drink recs that were exactly what we were looking for and was just a helpful fun person to be around. THANK YOU Adam! you made this an experience!

Amazing food, smoothies, cookies and atmosphere. Staff was incredibly friendly, especially Cesar. Cesar went above and beyond to make sure my girlfriend and I felt welcome and enjoyed our experience. Wonderful all around.
