the best padthai place with a reasonable price . staffs are very nice. their lunch special has a lot of options to choose and comes with very delicious tom yum soup ( a lot of chicken in it) . potion is big too. never get tired of this place .👍👍👍

Quiet place on Folsom with friendly staff and delicious food. We had the lunch combos with Tom kai gai soup, 2 items and fried rice. I had chicken satay and imperial rolls. She had beef in basil sauce and beef curry. We both had Thai iced tea. Good portions, quick service (especially on water refills) and great presentation and taste. Quite a good meal. Definitely recommend.

The first time I went there I asked one of my friends what good here. The couple in the next table said everything on the menu was great. I did not believe them after I tried a few dishes I realized they are correct. I really enjoy the Tali hot plait a sea food garlic dish. The minced chicken with Basil and Chicken satay are my number one choice their Pad tai is great. I use to get the Butter cups but the Cups are usually stale I stop ordering they should just change the Butter cup to Lettuce wrap. The flavor of the meat with Peas and Carrot makes it taste great. Like I said you cant go wrong here with any dish.

First time trying this spot and I came during lunch time. It’s a spacious restaurant but somehow it feels kind of cozy. I ordered the two item lunch combination which comes with a side of Tom kha soup which was flavorful and aromatic, perfect for the cold weather. For the two items I got their grilled bbq chicken which came with two drum sticks that were marinated in primarily lemongrass, I thought the flavor was okay, the portion is on the smaller side and I wish they charred it more. The other item I got was the sliced beef in a salty savory sweet marinade, this one had a much more bolder flavor which goes perfectly with the fried rice they give you. I think for the amount of food you get it is a little pricey but I was satisfied overall.

My lunch was amazing! The lunch combo is exquisite. Flavors jumping off of the plate. One of the best lunches I have ever had. It gives me hope that is still good/affordable options in this town. Feels like being in a Wat, old painted woodwork and bountiful plant arrangements. Streaming favorite Grateful Dead tunes. So, great local flare. Service was very prompt, sweet people. I am going back!

Manora's is a San Francisco treasure. Once part of a thriving south of market center full of bars and late night eateries it all but almost stands alone. The scaled back hours of operation reflect this . What has never been compromised are the one of a kind takes on Thai food you may already be familiar with. These family recipes are special. The staff are quite a team . Eager to make your experience a memorable one . I keep coming back for both the food and the smiles! The space, while well worn , makes you feel like you could be in a colonial building in Thailand. It is a Victorian and its character is part of the experience.

Local restaraunt in the SOMA/Mission area. Not super busy, but not empty either. Good spot for lunch ~$20. Food comes out relatively quick and is tasty. Kow Pad-Talay (fried rice) was really filling and enjoyable. Decor is traditional looking and gives family run vibes.

Manora's has been my go to Thai food restaurant in San Francisco for over thirty years! Although I've tried others, nothing compares to Manoras. Some of my favorites are salmon in red curry, yellow curry chicken and their coconut chicken soup! Not only is their food great but they have a great staff, many of whom have been there for a very long time. Go check it out!

Love this place! Have been a fan for a while of their yellow chicken coconut curry and spicy beef red curry. The Pad Thai is fresh and super flavorful. And the Chicken Larb is not to be missed. Even though I've moved from the neighborhood, I make the trek from Pacifica to enjoy their delicious Thai food.

The food here was not all that bad and actually tasted good and the calamari came out really fast and was nice and hot. The service was friendly and the ambiance of the place was excellent . I can see myself coming back here someday. A highly recommended !

This is hands down the best Thai food in the city. As a city kid, born and raised, I have been fortunate to have been surrounded by great Thai food my whole life. Everyone has their favorite neighborhood spot. It does not matter which neighborhood I am living in at the time, I come to Manoras for dinner. The best food cooked by great people.

Nice neighborhood thai spot! We've visited about three times now, and each time, it would seem there are loyal locals who come to have parties, gatherings and celebrations with the staff as well. I can tell the locals love this thai spot. The Good: - Good thai dishes, decent prices and portions - ok lunch menu which gives you a little taste of their offerings including their soup - Has a traditional thai restaurant feel/ look - Friendly staff - Recs: chicken lemongrass soup, pad see ew The Meh: - 2/3 times we've gone here, they've misheard my order and both times they stressed it would take too long to change the order, so i just had to try the new dish. The dish ended up being good, so i can't be mad, but -1 for consistency.

This is one of the 3 Soma's best Thai restaurants (Manora, Basil Thai, Saap Ver) and the most affordable amongst the three. Been here many times over the years and tried most of their dishes. If you want traditional tasting Thai cuisine you can't go wrong with this restaurant. Due to its location, the restaurant is usually not busy. Out of the two dishes I tried this time, both of them are a solid 8.5/10. The Yellow curry is probably slightly better, it is not spicy or mild spicy depending on the person.

We all have favorite dishes at certain restaurants. If you like Thai food and haven't tried this place, you're about to add a few more favorites to your list. The wife and I have been dining here for over 30 years, and while we like Lers Ros (16th St), Marnee, Regenet and others, Manora's remains the best far and away. Manora herself owns the place and works there nightly (as did her mom). With so many employers in the neighborhood having left, business has slowed over recent years; consequently staffing has been reduced. However, the wait staff have been there for many years and know the food and their customers well and the service, while stretched at times, is very good. Items not to miss: Beef Larb (best in the City); either the beef or salmon in red curry and the chicken in coconut soup are our favorites. Come find your own favorites.

the flavours were so so good, perfect spice level for me and the service was great! There were almost no vegetarian options on the actual menu but they were able to customise several dishes!

Been here twice now. Pad Thai was tasty, spring rolls were tasty, duck curry was tasty. Service is fast, but not super attentive, so you'll have to flag them down for more water and the check. Ambiance: can get loud if there's a large group or if it's busy - the acoustics are not the best.

I love manora's. I first tried it about 5 years ago since I worked near by. They have a really great lunch menu and it's usually packed during the weekdays at that time because there are many employees all around. My go to has always been the pad see ew, but recently I went back after a couple of years and tried their pad Thai that was amazing. I feel like it's hard to find a good Thai spot that has great flavors, decent customer service and you aren't pay $22 for your plate. Manora's feels very homey as if the cooks are at home "whipping" up whatever dish and it tastes amazing. Those are the vibes I get. There is plenty of indoor dining, but they don't open sundays and I usually think of going then haha.

Lunch combo is now $15.50. Do not even ask for yelp check- in special since they no longer offer it. This was pre-covid. I still love their lemony soup with mushroom and chicken. So good. Only if you like tart. If not, think of it as chicken soup. The satay is always great. Choice of regular fried rice or brown rice (extra cost). Their service is fast. Now they give you smaller glass of water so they come often to refill it. Not sure why.

Cute, quiet when we were there during lunch, and homey restaurant and pretty affordable. I forgot to take a picture of their tom yum but it was tasty! Panang curry and pad kra pow Gai are our usual go-to's and they definitely hit the spot!

I love this place! It is my go when visiting San Francisco. Our favorite is Pad Thai. It tastes like what you get in Thailand at night markets. Their curries are amazingly tasty. The food here is always delicious and the staff are very friendly. Can't wait to go back!

I ordered takeout so can't speak much about the ambiance, but the lunch specials for around $15 are very filling. The pad see ew lunch special I ordered was on the salty side and had minimal broccoli florets, but maybe my preference is just for lots of veggies with stir fried noodles. Overall an ok quick weekday lunch - my order took 10min to finish making and I was full after.

This is strictly for lunch, so here we go Yelp! I came in here for lunch with the crew & of course getting here isn't that easy. Thankfully we had a reservation & others of our crew was able to get there before me. 1. Service is paper thin as is the patience of one of the owners. Due to CA labor laws & Bidenflation, this eatery has 0 servers for lunch! The hosts/ manager & the owner were both doing it all aside from one lady in the back who cooks! I tried getting such things but they were busy & he got annoyed when I asked about certain dishes, especially since I'm allergic to nuts. 2. Food is yummy but the menu isn't vast as supper time. Many items such as Thai samosas were not available. Also when I asked for such condiments, they skimp on them. No fish sauce or soy sauce, but salt in tiny jars. Plus no homemade Thai chili sauce! 3. Dessert is bomb. Homemade ice cream & the banana fritters are amazing! The Thai coffee is not sweet either! Overall, this is worth a visit if I'm MIDMA / Soma but not my first choice spot for Thai grub.

Family run Thai restaurant with tasty Thai food! Manora's has been an SF SOMA staple for years.

The staff is friendly and quick. The food is delicious but it isn't Michelin star level. Their Thai iced tea is delicious. Best of all their food and drinks are consistent. They did run out of fried rice but I came toward closing time and they still were very nice to us. Covid hit them bad so we try to patronize when we are in SF visiting in laws.

Look, I love this place. I usually order my food to go or for delivery and I have never been disappointed. Until now. The reason I will still come back despite this ONE unfortunate experience is because I really do enjoy their food. I usually go for their Satay Chicken combo with Imperial Rolls which comes with fried rice and a side of soup (WHICH IS TASTY AF). The mango sticky rice?! SUPREME. My team and I ordered lunch today on 2/23/23. I ordered the above combo a few times before without any problems. Today however was the first encounter which I did not have a pleasant experience. Since the portions here are fairly generous, I still had a mound of leftover fried rice and a chicken skewer leftover. For dinner, I figured to eat the remainder of my meal. After taking my food out the microwave, I scooped a small bite of rice. I then noticed something pink in my rice. WHY DID I THINK THIS WAS A PIECE OF A VIENNA SAUSAGE. The piece didn't scoop and as I'm pulling this thing out, it turns out to be a WHOLE ASS THICCC RUBBER BAND. I was passed grossed out because at this point in the night. It was late and I was hungry. Currently surviving on the lone chicken skewer with their delicious peanut sauce but damn. A shame.

i've been coming here for so many years. I didn't realize how few recent reviews this place has. Menorah Thai is an institution and a neighborhood treasure. It has really beautiful, authentic food, very kindly and consistent people who work here, and is definitely a place worth visiting for good quality, solid Thai food, and great service.

The employees were nice and greeted us with so much warmth. The food itself was so delicious and had a pretty big portion. The restaurant was elegant and had beautiful paintings. I would recommend this place, for I will be coming back.

I have a service animal and this restaurant refused service and told me I must leave immediately. I am reporting them to every regulatory and legal agency - and then I and filiing a lawsuit against them. The server said his name is Gong.

Ambiance was ok, not the nicest place. But service was amazing and everyone in the staff was very kind. Food was decent, but definitely good for the price and the team was very attentive.

1 Apr.'23-17:00-We asked the waiter to split our bill in two and he refused. Said it was easier to put on one bill. Strike 1. I asked for mild spice and waiter refused. He said it only comes one way. Very spicy with me crying and choking! Strike 2. Prices have gone up considerably. Chairs are falling apart. Very cold inside with no heat turned on. Uncomfortable. Strike 3.

Foods tasty and cheap but don't bother requesting anything and service leaves a bit to be desired. I had good memories of coming here and decided to bring my wife whose from Thailand to try it. I tried the Yelp promo for the combo(same thing but $3 off) and was told like I should know that they havnt honored it in 6 years. Alright w/e update it then if people keep asking. My wife spoke to them in Thai and requested a dish with seafood instead of beef for a fee and extra spicy. They did it but it was super mild and they must have instantly forgot she speaks Thai because they kept shouting and talking shit about having to swap the meat on a dish that's for sale in several meats already. My food was good but again the spicy dishes had zero kick. I'm more a upper medium spicy kinda guy and rolled with it but I go to Thailand once a year often for several months and I'm not used to mild red curries.(yellow sure tho) Being said the waiter and water guy were attentive and service was timely. Quality ingredients and most of the menu is around 10 bucks but I used to live up the street and don't know that we'll make the trip over for it again.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants :) I have never dined in, my family always gets takeout, but it's DELICIOUS. I'd recommend the Pla Rad Prik

Manora's Thai cuisine (3.5/5) is a great stop if you're looking for some quality Thai food in the SoMa/Mission area. We stopped by on a Monday night and were the only ones dining in. The service was very friendly and happily shared their favorite dishes. The duck curry was creamy and delicious overall --nothing too mind blowing though. My partner ordered this dish and enjoyed it. The meal came with a side of jasmine rice. There was a good quality of meat in the dish. The papaya salad was amazing. The garlic dressing was a perfect touch to a slightly sweet salad. The garnish to the salad was a lime, which you'd think would be situated on the side of the plate. Actually, it was beneath the bed of salad, propping up the cabbage so it appears like there was more salad than what was there (by a lot). The salad is already inexpensive to begin with so I'm unsure why they tried to provide less.

Always a friendly welcome and smile as you walk in. Food is delicious and I love going there to have lunch w my son :)

I've been visiting Manora's for well over two decades and it's always been my go-to, preferred That food. I always enjoy the feeling that I'm having an authentic home cooked meal there, as opposed to restaurant food. It's not just the ambience and staff, but the love served in the meal. Their business has been slow since the pandemic so by all means, do give 'em a visit!

Manora's, I have only been here over the past two years, but I'll bet it's been excellent for the 30 plus years that it's been open. Love the servers tie-dye shirts and the eclectic (typically older rock) music that seems so out of place if this restaurant was in the South Bay or anywhere else. The lunch combo is really a deal, with a thin but flavorful bowl of soup, a cucumber/red onion salad and your choice of two main items over choice of steamed or fried rice. Nothing way out on a limb here, fairly standard Thai you might see anywhere, but Manora's never disappoints! They even remember your name if you come in often, and I like that!

Surprised by how minimal the menu was, there are very few vegetarian choices, I'm sure you could request it but the menu doesn't explicitly make it an option. Bruce ordered a beef, pork, chicken fried cutlet which was mostly breading and you had to pay extra for rice. The sauce was too mild, more tomato and cumin should have been tasted through. Service was very good.

I came here for lunch with some coworkers because we wanted to try out their combination lunch specials. You can pick 2 entrees and it comes with Thai fried rice and lemon chicken soup. I ordered the garlic pork and the yellow chicken curry. The lemon chicken soup came out first and I was pleasantly surprised. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with citrus, but the soup was light and refreshing. It sort of reminded me of a Malaysian laksa soup, which I love! It also had a huge, tender chicken thigh in it. The combo plates came next, and at first they look like small portions, but since I got two protein dishes, I was pretty full afterwards. The garlic pork was a little salty, but still yummy with rice, and the yellow chicken curry was creamy and flavorful. The chicken was also super tender like in the soup (I suspect another thigh piece). I didn't even finish my rice. One thing I wish I could've changed is swapping the rice for salad or veggies of some sort. The combo plate was definitely protein heavy. Service was friendly and they fit 8 of us a table at lunch time, though we went a little early. Overall Manora's is a good choice for lunch in SoMa. Also btw, their yelp check-in deal of the $9.50 lunch special is no longer valid.

I was in the area to get my car serviced. I was originally intending to eat at Costco, but I ran into this place and thought to give it a try. As a kid, before Yelp was a thing, the Zagat rating system (book reviews) were a great source on finding out about restaurants to try. I remember specifically as a teenager wanting to try this place so badly, since it was one of the recommended Thai restaurants. Kind of funny my teenage dreams came true today? They had $12.50 lunch specials on the side of the menu, which includes your choice of 2 entree items, fried rice, and a soup starter. I ended up getting this option. The soup was delicious - coconut chicken soup, but also with a sour citrus taste, that was terrific. The shredded chicken was also nice and tender. I ended up choosing the spicy red beef curry, and the grilled pork for my choices. The food came out almost 3 mins after I ordered it (quite busy in the restaurant too, at least 40-50% full on a weekday lunch), but it was not piping hot as you'd expect - do they have big batches in the back sitting there, ready to go? Questionable. The food was just lukewarm. The beef curry was decent, but nothing special. The grilled pork was very average, quite boring and typical. The fried rice was definitely edible, but once again, average and boring. I'm not one who is crazy about Yelp deals, but they did have one on check-in. The same lunch special I happened to order above, for $9.50. I'd say that was a good deal. However, when I showed the waiter, he said they were no longer offering that, and he wasn't sure why it was still showing up. This was slightly disappointing too. I didn't choose the lunch special b/c of the yelp deal, but it would have been nice if they offered it. It was quite a disappointing meal. I wonder if it was better in its hey-day in the early 2000s when I was in high school. The ambiance was super dated, which could be charming depending on your interpretation. I may have ordered the wrong thing, perhaps I should have gone safe with Pad Thai? Such a bummer of a meal.

My friends and I came to this place for dinner for our Girls Night Out as we were starving and stumbled upon this place. Walking in, the place was dim and not too busy, but we saw signs about it being a top Thai restaurant so we were hopeful. We were seated right away and were handed an extensive menu. I don't quite remember the names of the dishes, but we ordered the papaya salad, tom yum soup, pad thai, and a chicken penang curry with two sides of rice. Tom Yum Soup (5/5): It had the right amount of spice with the perfect sour, savory flavor. Not to mention they packed the soup with a variety of seafood, from prawns to mussels. It made my soul warm and toasty inside. Definitely enjoyed it with the rice. Papaya Salad (5/5): A refreshing papaya salad can never go wrong! The fish sauce was not overpowering and the crunchy papaya and tomatoes made this dish so refreshing. There was also raw cabbage on the side that helped balance out the flavor. Pad Thai (4/5): It was good, nothing too special. I'm always hesitant about ordering pad thai because it can either be basic or actually good. They gave a good amount of tofu and shrimp and it was just the right amount to share between four people. The sauce was yummy and definitely tasted authentic. Penang Curry (5/5): I love curry! This curry came with plenty of eggplants and a choice of meat (We chose chicken). This was the last dish that came out and it was probably one of my favorites. It had a good amount of spice and the curry was quite milky/coconuty. Very enjoyable! Overall, my friends and I enjoyed our meal here and left very stuffed. The restaurant got packed by the time we finished our meal, so the waiters weren't as attentive. It's okay, because the food was wonderful!
