19 Places For A Casual Meal Near NYU - New York - The Infatuation

"Manousheh is a doughy Lebanese flatbread topped with different meats and vegetables. Manousheh is also the name of a small takeout restaurant on the corner of Bleecker and Macdougal. They serve these flatbreads all day, with toppings like ground lamb and hummus. Keep it in mind for lunch on the go, or for an alternative to Artichoke’s after that Irish exit." - Hannah Albertine, Matt Tervooren

Manousheh - Review - West Village - New York - The Infatuation

"Manousheh is a small takeout restaurant in Greenwich Village that specializes in Lebanese flatbreads (manousheh). There are plenty of meat and vegetable toppings, but we recommend the ground lamb and hummus. This place is open all day, so grab one at lunch (best enjoyed while sitting in Washington Square Park), or to coat your stomach before a night of drinking." - Matt Tervooren

Google
Found a Lebanese gem in NYC. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic manouche place, and it instantly felt like a home away from home. The service was impeccable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in this cozy establishment. Their commitment to authenticity was evident, and the wide-ranging menu left me spoiled for choice. I couldn't resist trying the zaatar, cheese pies, and spinach fatayar, and each bite was a mouthwatering revelation. To complement these delectable treats, I opted for a side of labne (yogurt) dip, which added a delightful creaminess to the meal. The pies, in particular, were a standout, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. Overall, my experience at this manouche place was nothing short of amazing. If you're looking for a genuine taste of Middle Eastern cuisine served with exceptional hospitality, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to be back!

3.6.18 - pictures are from 2018, but the review is recent. We normally show up on their anniversary for personal reasons. If you like lebanese food, this spot will hit the spot, especially if you're looking for something close to a grab'n go. The staff is nice and the menu offers just what you need for something that's not over-processed and not overpriced.

Hello it's me Manny B

Google
It's a tiny little lebanese bakery that's stands tall among all other bakeries! As soon as you walk in the smell of the dough and the bakery will take you back to your childhood (if you grew up earing lebanese pies for brekafast). The pies were amazing. The service was great, very authentic lebanese pies (manaeesh) we had the cheese, the meat and the one and only zaatar (thyme) this is my 2nd time here and whenever I visit NYC I make it a point to stop by. The bakery is super cool 😎 it has this feeling of being outside of New york, and back in Lebanon 🇱🇧 the music they play just the whole thing for me it was amazing.

Love this place! If you are in the mood for Lebanese food this is the spot! Located on bleeker st. not far from the NYU area. You can order a snack or have a meal either way it won't disappoint. They have a nice small outside seating area. Always fresh!

Google
This is a no frill, traditional Betuti family owned restaurant. They make lebaneese brick oven bread with middle eastern spices in olive oil like Zaatar. It takes amazing and so fresh. They have 2 stores and this one is just good for grabbing a quick bit for a very reasonable price. I tried the Zaatar bread with pickles, olives and hummus and it was just amazing!

Google
Super cute hole in the wall gem!! Staff know their menu well and has great suggestions. The menu is unique and flavorful. Small seating area but it’s nyc so not surprised. I got the cocktail and loved it - super savory flatbread! Def going back, was amazing!

Google
I absolutely love this place! The staff are wholesome and bubbly. They’re fun to converse with and learn about too! And the whole place feels lively and friendly. I love the rustic aesthetic of the place along with the Lebanese and Arabic touches. The place also smells heavenly at times from the baking and Arabic coffee. I tried their spinach fatayer and akawe cheese manaeesh and they both exceeded my expectations! The cheese manaeesh was oozing with gooey warm stretchy akawe cheese that warms your heart on chilly days! And the spinach fatayer was first, HUGE, and second, very savory and slightly tangy inside. Literally mouthwatering. This is a lovely place with lovely people. And if you’re craving maneesh or feeling a bit homesick and nostalgic towards Levantine food, this place is perfect. Must try visiting with friends, nibbling on manaeesh, and watching people walking on Bleecker street.

Google
I got a lamb wrap, kinda dry and meat was lacking juiciness. The place had an authentic feel from the look to the music. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I guess I just wasn’t a big fan of the food I got there

Yelp
Can't stop thinking about the lunch I got here today. Both the zaatar with vegetables and the falafel were amazing and had me audibly saying mmm! I don't live close, but will be back.

Yelp
Small bustling location on Bleecker. A real oven (wood fired? Dunno) with flames leaping up behind the counter. Excellent service. Apparently a real Lebanese menu (as someone else who was middle eastern was remarking). Sadly, I did not like the manousheh falafel where the falafel is spread out on the bread like another layer. Maybe I needed to amp it up with hummus? Or something? It's not you, it's me, Manousheh. I just don't know how to appreciate the traditional flavors yet. So I offer you my four stars and will visit again.

Yelp
Manousheh came up when I looked for options after seeing a movie at the IFC nearby. It's perfect if you are looking for something quick and tasty. Most of the offerings are based around the Lebanese bread, manoushe. Their website said the flatbread is sold all around Beirut. It's thicker than a pita and thinner than most pizza crusts and a little more doughy like the later. For a savory option I got the Jibneh, or cheese. The serving is pretty large with the bread cooked just right and the cheese melted inside. I was glad I got the hummus to dip it. It was very tasty and filling. I did get the Nutella version from the Sweet side of the menu. It reminded me of the crepes in Paris. I only had half since I was already pretty full. When I go back, I'll get a bread and salad combo and maybe another spread. The gentlemen working there were friendly and everything was ready in just a few minutes. This is a great option if you're in a hurry and need to eat on the go and it's kind of fun to try a favorite food of the Lebanese capital.

Yelp
We came in here late on Sunday in search of a quick bite, and I'm so glad that we did! I've never had Manoush before, and its flatbread with a spread in the middle. SO good. I got the mahamara which is a spread made from roasted peppers. It was tangy and sweet and hit the spot! The staff was super friendly and answered my questions, even if they seemed obvious, which I appreciated. Recommend for a quick bite to stay or to go!

Yelp
Having a Lebanese background, I was in search of good Manousheh in the city (which isn't easy to find unless you get of out Manhattan). I ordered: Spinach patty- 4/5. probably the only thing I would return for. Flavorful, and a good amount of spinach filling, but I still feel like I was skimped out of filling with the odd spinach to dough ratio. Ground beef Manousheh- 2/5. barely any ground beef, and the bread was extremely thin. Too salty as well. Zataar- 3/5. Good flavor, but once again, not enough filling. Arabic coffee-5/5. excellent. Note: You get free coffee or tea with yelp check in. Service was good only due to the lovely lady in the front. She was energetic and gave great recommendations(the spinach patty). The man working alongside her kept asking me questions unsure of my order when the lovely lady knew my order already. He wasn't very friendly. There's some outdoor/ indoor seating. This is a casual place to pick up a quick Manousheh. I would only return for the spinach pie or the Arabic coffee. Would not recommend the other items I ordered.

Yelp
I recently ordered takeout from this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! We shared the ground beef flatbread, falafel, and kafta. Everything was yummy and flavorful. The pickles were a nice addition to the wraps. It was a very satisfying meal for a great price. Pick up was easy and prompt. They have some indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely order from here again!

Yelp
Love getting this taste from my home country. Real authentic Lebanese manousheh. I had the zaatar and jibneh mixed combo with vegetables. Can't go wrong. I'll be back for much more.

Yelp
I was looking for a late-night snack after a concert in NYC, and found myself walking into Manousheh, which satisfied my quest perfectly. I ordered a sampling of Lebanese munchies, all of which were warm and deliciously spiced. I hope to try more of their menu someday!

Yelp
Stumbled in here one day while trying to hideout from the rain, and I'm so glad I did! It's a cute small spot with a few window bar seats. The staff was so kind and accommodating I decided to order the Falafel Wrap with all the veggies, hummus, tahini, mint, and pepper sauce. First off I will say that this wrap was HUGE! Literally almost as big as my forearm. The taste was so fresh and flavorful. Everything blended together nicely and the mint was a delicious touch. I will definitely be back again!

Yelp
Dude these flatbreads slapppppp so hard. With a squeeze of lemon and some spicy seasoning it'll take you to heaven. Super affordable too
google avatar

Anjoli F.

Yelp
YESSSSSS. So so damn good! We got the muhamara "bowl" which came with the dip, bread, and bowl of mint, olives, and tomatoes. Alongside, we shared a falafel wrap and the "coxktail" flatbread which was half z'atar and half halloumi! Or fav hands down was the cocktail flatbread. Def recommend, great food, friendly service and amazing menu. Well absolutely come back!

Yelp
Manousheh is worth an updated review. We came back a year later (again on a rainy day), the prices went up a couple of dollars, but the quality of the food stayed the same. I ordered the Lahem Bi Ajine again (2 for $12 this time) which is light but fulfilling. It consists of ground beef and tomato. And it comes with lemon to squeeze for a citrusy kick). This wrap offers the most bang for your buck. Hubs needed another wrap so he got a Kafta which was a lamb and beef wrap with hummus. This was so flavorful. We ordered the pickles and olives on the side again which added a kick and crunch to each bite. Highly recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a quick bite.

Yelp
I came here recently for lunch with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon. We managed to snag the table inside, but there wasn't too much seating. It seems like a take-out place, for the most part. My boyfriend and I shared the fatayer and the kafta manoush. They were both pretty solid. I thought this was a quick and affordable option; I'd come back if I needed lunch on the go.
google avatar

Suri M.

Yelp
It's so fun to eat food with your hands, and although the triangle folded up isn't the most practical shape for that, it still works. The vegan spinach is the best! Order to go or squeeze around one of the tables here. The desserts are phenomenal. Watch the steps on the way out!
google avatar

Yelp
Great hole in the wall for some middle eastern manaeesh. Ordered the lahmajeen, the cheese and the cocktail. The service was quick and attentive. Highly recommend this spot for weekend breakfast or just for craving some middle eastern flavors!
google avatar

Yelp
I had kofte and Arabic coffee. The Arabic coffee is identical to Greek coffee...you have all of the sediments of the coffee at the bottom of the cup. Personally not a fan, but had no idea. I thought Arabic coffee was like the Saudi coffee; the one with the cardamon, light colored, smooth taste. It is my ignorance. Will order the typical American brew next time...because there is a next time. The food is in fact great. It hits the spot. It is not overly stuffing that you must take a nap afterwards, but it is satisfying enough to let you carry on for the rest of the day without snacks. Love their breakfast menu. You get free coffee until 11 am with each order. The kofta was amazing. Scrumptious blend of spices all tightly packed in a fluffy pita bread. And it smelled amazing too. Will return and update the review accordingly. This was my first time.

Yelp
Definitely this location is the best! The guy running it is doing a phenomal job. The bread is hot, the cheese is perfectly melted. I didnt take a picture because the food needed to be eaten right away because it's coming out from the fire oven. Place is super small , some room to sit but the idea is it to eat and go! Will definitely come back
google avatar

Yelp
Small little shop that makes good food! Got the Lahem Bi Ajine which is light and thin, but very filling

Yelp
I decided to stop by for a quick bite, intrigued by the concept of Beirut street food. However, I left without experiencing anything particularly distinct. While the menu looked promising, my choice of the chicken manousheh fell short. It was overly salty and tasted like a standard chicken shawarma, although the pita wrapping was well-cooked. The dish wasn't a great value and could have benefited from some well-paired sides to balance out the brininess. If you're seeking something beyond the usual Middle Eastern fast casual options and here, I'd recommend exploring some of the other dishes and definitely skipping the chicken manousheh. Maybe I made the wrong choice. Despite the underwhelming food, the staff was friendly, and I appreciated the clean bathrooms.

Yelp
I downloaded yelp just so I could review this place. PHENOMENAL food and service. Came here with my Lebanese friend and she said this was best Lebanese food she's had in the States. The ambiance is very home-y and cozy and the employees are all kind and accommodating. Definitely bringing all my out of town guests here from now on!!

Yelp
What a great find! HUGE, to our delight, Tabbouleh salad! Avocado Zaatar was perfect for sharing! And the Zaatar Flatbread filled a void for zaatar done right, just the softest bread, warmed and seasoned to perfection! Ordered ahead and was ready in a flash! Friendly folks helped us checkout and I even got a jar of Zaatar to take back to Colorado! The space is open, clean and comfortable, and I would highly recommend. Oh we also had hummus platter with olives, cucumber and mint (maybe more we only scratched the surface) - so good!
google avatar

Nikhil R.

Yelp
Wow. Lebanese food is SO good and all of the items here are top tier! The prices are also really fair and competitive for the New York scene. To order, you scan the QR code on tables or go to their website and place a "pickup" order. They will then call your name and you can pick it up and go to their tables. Seating is LIMITED so don't expect to easily find a seat. Get the labneh (yogurt) because it's amazing with pita. The pita is also super soft, fresh, and homemade. Their zataar pita is super tangy, citrusy, and delicious. We also got the jibneh pita with akkawi cheese. This tastes exactly like a stuffed crust pizza crust from Pizza Hut and it'd delicious. Lastly we got the kishek which is dried yogurt and tomato. Almost has a similar flavor profile to pizza! And don't forget to get their incredible olives, mint, and tomatoes. These come with the labneh platter and I highly recommend it for an acidic juxtaposition to the meal.

Yelp
Not much seating, but a great place for a quick to-go breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Love the cocktail and the kafta manousheh, which are the ones I've had so far. The combo deal- add a half avocado zatar salad and a beverage for $6- is a great value. At that price I was half-expecting your standard lame side salad, but no, this salad is very good in its own right, particularly the crispy little cucumber slices. And the take-out packaging is mostly paper here, which (as someone with a hefty amount of environmental guilt) I appreciate.
google avatar

Imran S.

Yelp
We were looking for lebanese food and online reviews recommended Manousheh so decided to check it out. the place is small and generally more of a takeaway but they did have a small seating outside inside there was a menu on the board as well as paper menu available you could order the food in a sandwich or in a bowl and you could make it a meal with salad and a drink we got the muhammara in a sandwich as well as a kabob in a sandwich and made those a meal so with salad. we also got the pickles and olive as a side first - the food portions were large so it's definitely a filling meal. the salad had huge avocado slices as well as cucumbers and others in zaatar. the pickles and olive were also good the sandwiches itself were decent -/ the flavors inside were alright but what made the sandwich was the fresh bread. the bread was cooked in a fire oven so it made it fresh and elevated the taste of the sandwich. overall a good and plentiful meal
google avatar

Mais S.

Yelp
This is the best manaeesh in the city. I love the crispy bread. it tastes very flavorful. It gets hot inside but they have outdoor seating. Service is fast and they are always nice. I will say however the knafe is the worse knafe I've ever tasted in my life. I wish they would buy the frozen one from the Arabic store and sell it bc it would taste better than what they sold me lol it was like jelly knafe. But the zataar manaeesh it is so good, a little pricey, mine was $11 but overall I would go Everytime I'm shopping around soho or if I go to the NYU masjid.

Yelp
I was too excited and hungry to take a picture of my food. This place is my favorite Lebanese bakery in NYC. they have all the classic Lebanese options, and you can never go wrong with a plain zaatar. I also have tried lahim bi ajin and it's super tasty. I also took my non-Lebanese friend to this cafe and she was a huge fan!
google avatar

Himadri G.

Yelp
Yum! This is a good quality and affordable eat in SOHO. The service to order is very fast, and the time to food is decently minimal. You may be waiting a few minutes but they pride themselves in their fresh ingredients. And I agree! The bread they make is delicious. I went for an Avocado Zaatar. It was very oily so I may go for falafel next time but still very flavorful. This is one where in the moment it was too much of the same flavor for me, but later on I miss it. I did take a bite out of the falafel one of my friend and thought while it tasted good, I would have preferred if they had not completely mashed it up - I like the crispy bits! It would've also done well with some hot sauce, but the mint is delicious to brighten the flavors. There is some seating outside the restaurant, else you can walk over to the fountain nearby and eat on the benches. There is also a water station for you to stay hydrated.
google avatar

Marwa M.

Yelp
I got the sujuk, cheese and lahmeh. All delicious. Service was quick and easy. We sat outside and soaked in the sun.
google avatar

Roop K.

Yelp
This is a small place tucked away from the busier streets here by Washington square park. On two different visits, I tried their take on kanafe as well as their za'atar manaeesh ( which was amazing with the spices and oil). I wouldn't come here for kanafa personally again, maybe just my preference is for more traditional take on it. Overall a GREAT spot for any of the savory options.
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
This is such a nice little Lebanese restaurant! My Lebanese friend took us here and got us all the best stuff. Everything was uniquely spiced and filled with flavor, and I loved the banju and drinking from the fun little bottle. The staff were super friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was cozy, clean, and comfortable!
google avatar

Hamsa C.

Yelp
I came here especially to eat his fatayer from NJ ! So tasty just as our original countries in middle east, very freshly backed yummy collection the ( zaatar with cheese) is really to die for. Thank you for the great taste & I really hope that you guys open more stores @ NJ too.
google avatar

Claire S.

Yelp
Delicious, clean and authentic. We enjoyed the chicken musakkhan; I would call it the Palestinian version of chicken shawarma, and it was so good. The chicken was tender and the sauce which coated it was well seasoned. We enjoyed a side of olives which also included pickled radishes and spicy peppers - very fresh and gave the meal a some "crunch" between bites of the chicken musakkhan. We had a side of labneh too (not shown) which was very fresh and creamy. Clean, quaint ambiance and friendly, attentive staff. I'll be back.
google avatar

Mahsa N.

Yelp
Great Lebanese food in NYC! I was missing the taste of a perfect Zaatar manousheh and was super excited to try this place and boy, it did not disappoint! We got the following: - Zaatar manousheh: star of the show, simple yet oh so good - lahme bi agine: tangy with perfect crispy bread base - chicken musakhan: tasty roll and quite filling - muhammara: very well made with a good share of pomegranate molasses in the muhammara which is great Will definitely be coming back!

Aya E.

Yelp
Ordered: Cocktail Manousheh (~$8): jibneh & zaatar Falafel Wrap (~$8): baked falafel with tomato, mint, pickled turnips, and tahini Rose Lemonade (~$4) Iced Drip Coffee (free with Yelp check-in) Aya's take: Being Lebanese myself, I was looking forward to trying this place for the longest time! We found ourselves here before going about our day in the city and ordered right away. The Cocktail Manousheh is the best thing we had. Thin crust, good mix of jibneh (cheese) and zaatar. But $8 is crazy; my Lebanese grandma would faint if she saw these prices considering how simple the ingredients are. The Falafel Wrap had many fresh ingredients which I liked and the falafel wasn't bad but it didn't come together as well as I had hoped. I also ordered the Rose Lemonade which was refreshing but literally no ice. It would've been so much better if it was colder. Same thing with the Iced Coffee. How do you give me an ICED coffee with no ice!? Service and overall understanding of the menu is lacking with the staff. Manousheh appears to have that Lebanese influence at a glance, but deep down it got a bit lost in translation. It was a good try but I don't think I'd return.
google avatar

Dena H.

Yelp
This place definitely has great manousheh! I ordered the cocktail which is a mix of Zatar and jibneh (cheese) my friend added labne to hers. Seating is pretty limited based on your luck if you find a table. The place is small so it's more for a grab and go kind of meal. The one thing I was bummed about was their kanafeh. I would not recommend ordering it. The cheese wasn't the kind where it stretches when you pull it's more of a globby consistency.
google avatar

Shawn H.

Yelp
This was outstanding. First visit, I got the regular-sized lahem bi ajine (ground beef, tomato, and onions) and mashrouha-sized zaatar flatbreads, plus sides of muhammara and hummus. Both flatbreads were amazing, the zaatar in particular. I also really liked both dips. If there's anything I'd do differently next time, it's that I'd get all regular sizes (the mashrouha is enormous) and I'd love to try other versions -- jibneh in particular. We'll be back.

Avi S.

Yelp
Best middle eastern joint in the city, especially for when it's late and you're drunk! The ambiance is very casual, and the location is nice for bars.

Yelp
I placed my order at around 7:30 PM on a weekend directly from their website and showed up at around 7:45 which was my pick up time. The girl said they were super busy and told me to come back in 20 minutes. That's fine, I was going to eat in the park anyways and it was still somewhat nice out. After checking back TWICE (they kept postponing it) and over an hour after, my food was finally ready. When the girl gave me my bag, there was brown sauce or dirt all over the side of the bag (see picture below). I immediately asked if I can get another bag. Instead of rebagging it, she simply looked at it and decided it was okay to just put another bag over it??? I got a zaatar flatbread with a side of chicken ($4) and a side of muhammara (red pepper based sauce). I also got a few unica (chocolate wafers) to try. I know the pandemic must have been rough, so I got a bottle of wine as well to drink with my friend at the park during dinner. The total was close to $50 for everything, including tax. My flatbread had basically no filling (I got maybe 5 sesame seeds in total?? LOL) ... it was dry, mildly stale, and felt like it had been sitting out for an hour. I understand that they were busy, but at least try not to degrade the quality. The chicken was a bit dry, but it wasn't too bad. The only good part was the tablespoon of muhammara that I paid $3 for... though expensive, the blend was delicious. Finally, I wanted to try a unica bar for dessert. They were sitting next to the warm flatbread when I got them, but I moved them as soon as I picked up my order. When I opened the bar, the chocolate coating was melted... clearly, my order was ready for a while just sitting on the counter for this to have happened or they didn't store the bars properly. As if that was the last problem, when I looked at the wine bottle ($30), it looked like they took it out of a corner of the basement... (see below). The top was covered in dirt, the top of the label was stained, and the safety seal was possibly tampered with. They could've just rinsed it under water and I would've never had known, but seriously? Maybe that was the dirt that transferred on the bag but who knows. Overall, this place has really good reviews so I believe it was just a bad day for them... probably won't be back soon.

Thomas M.

Yelp
Had a really terrible experience in Mar 2021, but 3 stars because I used to come all the time during my NYU days. The jibneh and cocktail flatbreads were generally delicious and a good portion for the price. I also miss the early days when the side sauces we're free or $1. Edit: Someone reached out to me within an hour of the review and refunded me for both the beer and wine shown below. I'm glad this was more of a bad day issue and not a general quality degradation since I last went. Will bump them back to 4 stars, as I would've given them had it not been for yesterday's trip. I came back again on a Friday night during Mar 2021. They were busy, but we were originally quoted 20 minutes. Checked back 2 more times, and ended up taking over an hour. In the rush, they really didn't give any care to quality. The flatbread ingredients were very unevenly spread, with some cheese near the center but almost none closer to the edges. They also sold me a 5-mo expired beer and a wine bottle that looks like it was fished out of a landfill. It's hard to believe whoever packed my takeout bag thought this was acceptable to sell to a customer, but hey they weren't exactly apologetic about the wait or the food quality either.

Eloise A.

Yelp
Excellent. I really appreciate spots that are quick casual but have healthy options with quality ingredients. Often hard to check off all of those boxes but this place does it. They even have a plain cheese pizza (called something else) if you have young kids in tow! I ordered the zaatar avocado salad and was very impressed. Tomatoes cucumbers diced green olives fresh mint and zaatar herbs made this a super refreshing salad. I ordered a side of chicken which was very flavorful. Wish the chicken marinade was a tad less sweet but other than that it was all spot on. Ill be returning.

Yelp
Delicious, no fuss Lebanese spot with fresh breads and fillings. As a vegetarian I ordered the cocktail Flatbread with cheese and zaatar. I also tried their sweet muhamara and tangy lebneh and thoum sauces. I liked the clotted cream dessert. It was reminiscent of a lightly sweet custard.

Yelp
Great cheese manoushe, definitely recommend. Authentic Lebanese experience. لبنان في نيو يورك

Yelp
Manousheh has been on my list for a while now, and I finally hit it up for lunch during the 4th of July. Lahem bi ajine and chicken musakkhan were both amazing, though the chicken was my favorite. They have a small outdoor seating area at the moment with a few tables, so we were able to sit and eat. Definitely recommended!

Yelp
I go out of my way to bike downtown eat this. The flavor and texture imparted on the flatbreads by their brick oven is irreplaceable. - Lahem bi Ajine: we kind of stumbled upon their most popular dish, but it came folded up and the ground beef was remarkably flavorful. - Kafta: the lamb-based wrap is my favorite so far. Maybe it's the sumac flavor that distinguishes it. - Chicken musakkan: the meat packs in that flavor and tenderness that only slow-cooking can extract. - Falafel: enormous! Okay. The mint and pickled turnips are unexpected, but after like three bites I was pretty into those bright pink turnips.

Yelp
Maybe I'm just not a fan of this kinda food, but I can honestly say I was thoroughly unimpressed with my chicken masukkhan sandwich. The sandwich reminded me of my homemade tuna ,probably because it was shredded chicken and covered in the sumac sauce. The entire sandwich eating experience felt like eating a paste due to its overpowering sauce and lack of any texture. I probably could have broken it down in my mouth by simply sucking on it . Yeah, it was definitely a weird experience! There were no veggies (even the advertised onions were missing) or anything else in the sandwich that could've offered a different texture or taste. It was my fault for not noticing that and avoiding this sandwich at all costs but lesson learned . To make matters worse, I waited about 30 minutes for this and paid almost 13 bucks. This was easily one of the worst meals I've had in awhile and I'll likely never return .

Yelp
If you're looking for an authentic man'ousheh spot in the city (without having to trek to Brooklyn or Jersey), this is the spot for you. I love getting the "cocktail" (cheese and zaatar in one) and the dough is absolutely perfect. My only complaint is that the zaatar was a little too salty both times I was there otherwise I have made this place my go to quick lunch spot!

Yelp
Fantastic....quick, friendly staff and authentic. Some dishes are extremely hot, but just ask for less heat, if needed

Yelp
Never had anything like it but then again it's because I am not as exposed to this cuisine. I got the cocktail which seemed to be a fan favorite. It was plenty to eat on your own or share. It was very aromatic from the thyme with some cheese. The flatbread had a nice crispness to it. Very good. This place is tiny but there are some tables and ledges with barstools.

Yelp
We use to come once a week at least but this is the last time, they now sell you the smallest portion ever at a higher price, basically a cheese Manoushe without the cheese (so small) I will go find something else to eat if I were you l.
