Craft store that carries an assortment of embellishments to create unique favors and party decor for weddings, baby shower, birthday party, etc. Some keys items I saw here were large bottles of glitter, letters in styrofoam & wood as well as letters with lights. They also had different styles and shaped plastic storage for favors and storage.

This place has a lot of options for small bits and pieces to decorate for parties on a tight budget. Especially love their selection of paper lanterns.

When we go to LA we usually stop here for crafs & party decorations. The staff is helpful and location is clean. I've been to other crafts stores near alley but many hobos and the stench of urine.

The person that helped us was very knowledge getting and showing us what we were asking for. Help sample items to give us a visual. Very nice, didn't coerce us into buying anything. I will go back for craft items.

Everything you need for diy centerpieces, party decor and arts and crafts in general. Reasonable prices and lots of variety. Some items are more outdated. The have 2 stories but no elevators or stroller access.

Great place to buy craft supplies at low prices! They have beads, artificial flowers and party supplies. I highly recommend.

This place has the best prices with the widest variety of party and craft items. They have so many organza and sateen bags for favors and gifts in different colors and sizes. If you're looking to save a buck they have so many cake toppers which can also be used in DIY Photo Booth.

Made a trip to pick up crafts to make necklaces for a baby shower. And a few other things. I'm very glad to have stopped here! The staff was so very helpful. They had some necklaces already made, a woman at the counter was making them. But my daughter wanted to make ours herself, and the sales woman walked the store with us to help find everything we needed to make them complete. She even pointed out that one spool of ribbon would make 24 necklaces to guesstimate how many spools would be needed! Everything had price tags on it, and organized so that was helpful. They have supplies for all kinds of occasions, tiny flowers in so many colors all sorts of ribbons all sizes and colors. If you're making party favors for any occasion this is the spot to try out!!!

Lots of crafts but they need more workers I feel like there over whelmed . I will go back though

Feeling Crafty? Maple Craft used to be my go-to place for craft materials and supplies. It still is for some items, like customized ribbons, tiny jars, or craft knick knacks. They have so many raw materials that you need for making favors, gifts, celebration, etc. However, their prices are no longer as competitive. Some items are actually more expensive than Michael's. Sad. I still go here once in a while. The second floor houses their discount items, and you might be able to find some cool little things for your parties.

Love this place! I go as often as possible to stock up on my ribbon needs! They have grown to include other bulk craft items! You should definitely go check it out!

The shop is great for crafts. The only thing is that they don't have figurines that are multi cultural. I ask and the manager said he really don't order it.

This is the ultimate party supply store! If you are planning a baby shower, birthday party, wedding, etc this is the place to go! They have so many decoration items that can be used alone or for DIY projects. I came to get decorations for my friend's baby shower and ended up finding a bunch of items I needed and the prices were reasonable. Although this place is awesome, some of the employees offered to help but when I asked about certain items they would say they didn't have it and then 5 min later I would find that item or something similar. Better customer service involves employees knowing the inventory and also making recommendations. With that said, even if an employee tells you they don't have something, continue to look around!

I went to Maplecraft because Yelp recommended them as number one in the garment district. What an utter disappointment. The store was not only dirty and difficult to navigate, the sales staff were shockingly rude. I tried to inquire from two different sales people the availability of certain items. I was polite, starting my question with please, and yet both salesladies were dismissive and almost borderline nasty. This might be the store to find baby shower items, albeit quite cheap ones, but this is not a craft store as the name would indicate. I walked over to Moskatels to actually find a true, expansive, craft store with wonderful sales people. Don't waste your time with Maplecraft!

I needed to get a few materials for my wedding and I came in knowing the 4 things I wanted. Lola was in the middle of her tasks but happily asked if I needed help. I parked across the street ($3 for the first 15 minutes ONLY so FYI for those who are looking for parking- don't let the signs fool you!) and was short on time. Within 12 minutes I got my tulle (even switched out the colors from gold to pink and cream because the other colors fit better with my overall vision), two different colored ribbons and a special type ribbon with gold accents. Lola was extremely friendly and helpful. If you need any wedding and decoration supplies for any event, I would recommend Maple Crafts! The experience, friendliness of staff, and location all contribute to my recommendation of this place.

Not the greatest prices. This was the first place I went to and I'm so glad I didn't buy much or I would have been pissed! Rhinestone ribbon mesh was $20 yet 2 doors down it was $10 and the cheapest I found was $5.50 across the street at Dong Bo Trading Co so go there for your trim. For flowers go to American Crafts & Floral better and cheaper trust me I walked around for hours and took notes for my fellow yelpers ;-)

This is really the best craft store in the area! Very impressive. I was put in charge of making party favors for a friend's wedding shower. OMG! I'm not a girly girl, I can surf, snowboard like a pro, but when it comes to arts and craft, cooking and sewing, I'm a complete idiot. While cursing my friend for assigning me the task of making party favors, I found this store and the staff there was super helpful and they had tons of samples I could copy. This made my task so much easier. Oh oh, they can also do customized ribbons, so that you can print the bride/groom's name on everything. Great find for me!

I had such an AMAZING experience here today. Alba was so much help. I don't know what I would have done without her help. I almost cried because she brought my stress level way down with her WONDERFUL ideas. Thank you Alba and Alex!!!!!!!!

This is my go-to spot for party supplies! Last year, they had these cute frog and bear boxes that I used as party treats stuffed with goodies. I recommend this place if you need ribbons for graduations, birthdays, baby showers, and you name it. There's much more available and some of the ladies who work there can offer creative ideas.

lovely place! if u are a crafity craft craft person, U WILL LOVE THIS PLACE! they have ao many different options. whatever you want. I got 20% off by just checking in yelp- people are nice- very helpful. u might want to ask them where is where bec u will get lost from all these options!! there are 2 floors,although 2nd floor nothing much.. but yeah! go and see, VERY VERY GOOD place for getting souvenirs and party stuff!

They have single sided ribbon, 100 yards for $4.99. The ribbon by the yard is $1 for 2 yards, I think. They have little packages of decorations you can string or hot glue gun onto your crafts. Parking is $6 for the day. Or $3 for 15 minutes. They have thick and thin ribbon in various colors. Some of the ribbon has occasional streaks or slight imperfections every once in a while, but not noticable once you finish your project most likely. Next time I will ask for the double sided ribbon. You can get a 15 percent discount right away if you check in on Yelp, posting a picture and writing a quick statement of what you are doing/ buying there.

This is a craft store among many fabric stores so they don't have competitive prices. I went in to buy stuff for a Parisian baby shower and they didn't have tiny Eiffel towers for me to glue on a pacifier necklace. Their big pacifiers were $3.99/dz when compared to others at $1.20/dz (go to United Crafts on 7th) when I told the cashier at Maple Crafts about a discount because of how many I was getting she didn't budge. I will not step foot on this craft store because there are other craft stores with better selections and lower prices!

I was in town for and event and stumbled upon this store . The staff was amazing , super knowledgeable and extremely helpful . I will definitely recommend this store .

I am in love with this store. I was in need of decorations for my 15 and thay had every single thing i needed from center pieces to wall decorations for example balloons,tulle,artificial flowers,rhinestones.ps the staff are really creative they helped me with ideas for my center pieces and my picture framethank you so much for everything.

My experience here at Maple craft store was awesome as always. It's always people on the floor willing to help encouraging with great ideas. I've been shopping here for years I travel over 35 miles to get here just for excellent customer service. Keep up the good work Maple craft store

Prices are ridiculous! $20. For Bling rhinestone mesh I pay $6. And have seen it go up to 9.99 a roll but $20. Never I guess thats why it was empty when i went in. will not shop there.

My best friend and her mom and sister were shopping around downtown for decor for her wedding. We walked by this store and decided to go in. We entered 10 minutes before they were about to close. With this in mind we hurried to not make anyone have to stay beyond closing time on account of us. HOWEVER, the owner of the shop was extremely rude and started getting loud with my friend AND her mother. The owner started rushing and telling them to "hurry up" when they were already at the counter wanting to check out. When the ridiculousness kept going, even the employees were shaking their heads and telling us "sorry. she's always like this." Choice words were also used to describe this woman. We decided to leave without patronizing anything from her store and got exactly what we needed FOR CHEAPER right across the street! Go to Craft Depot or there's a smaller store right across the street from this place. Customers are the Gold to any business, but management at this place doesn't seem to value that fact.

Got everything I needed for a great price!!!

Extremely expensive!! I admit they have great selection of everything under one roof, but the prices are twice of Party City or other major stores. Some items you can find in 99 cent store or dollar store and they sell it for as much as $10. They are packed and busy all the time because people assume it is cheap because of their location. And if you are here in summer, good luck there is no air condition and it gets crazy hot inside the store.

If I don't have the time to go into store after store trying to haggle from one lady to the next and I want to make sure that they'll take credit card, I come here. PROS: - it's a one stop shop for party knick-knacks - they take visa and mastercard - items sold individually or in bulk CONS: - it's often a dollar or two more than the other stores around it - C to D quality items sold Parking: Meter is $3 per hour.

Stopped by here to get some last minute graduation decorations for a party we are hosting. This place is a CF. They have a lot of inventory but no one around to provide customer service or ask for help. Parking can be difficult on the street if you come during the weekend. However, there are parking garages available. If you are looking for baby shower decorations this is your place. All other parties, you should look elsewhere.

This store was okay - probably better if you are looking for party favors but for craft supplies, their prices weren't as cheap as I'd expect for coming all the way to downtown LA fashion district...

If you like to craft and need party items or gift items, this is the place for you! I'm a big crafter and I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here as my staple craft supply store for years. They have everything from ribbon, tulle, organza bags, butterflies, bows, etc. Pretty much everything you need to make things for baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, parties, etc. The best part is the price (it's very inexpensive!) as well as the ease of being able to purchase items in a single quantity versus having to buy everything in bulk. You can buy items in bulk too but also at a lower cost. The store is pretty large and has an upstairs and downstairs so there is a lot to look at! Everything is organized and grouped together and it's a very clean store compared to others in Downtown LA and it's located right across the street from Michael Levine. Even better is that I recently found out that they have an online store! That makes things so much easier with everything that I can get at the click of a button. It's a must stop for me whenever I'm in Downtown! Love this place so much!

I love this place. It's actually classed up quite a bit, the supplies and decorations have gone from being super tacky to being surprisingly cute. I would suggest buying as much as you can in bulk, you will save. Even if you don't want to purchase here you can find a lot of cute ideas, however it will be cheaper than Michael's or Joann's. Don't even bother using the meter, park on Wall between 7th and 8th, it usually costs about $4 as opposed to the $3 hour on the meter! I would suggest coming on the week days as the weekends get super packed. Also if you're coming on the weekend parking will cost more, and the likelihood of finding one of those $3 meters is highly unlikely!!

This is one of my favorite craft stores in downtown LA for sure. They have a huge selection and you can find most of your crafts for your upcoming parties. The staff is really friendly but I can't say the same about the manager. She just always seems bothered by the customers. I wish she would just smile and say "hello" more. It's the little things. Anyway, I do love that they honor the yelp code and that they allow you to use it once per visit as long as you check in every time.

Love this place!! My best friend had a very, VERY specific idea in mind for her baby shower, so being the good friend that I am, I went all over town looking for her favors and decorations. I went to Michael's and found a few things, but so expensive T.T I was so glad there's yelp and lovely yelpers to lead me back to sanity! I found everything I needed...at HALF the price of Michael's...AND even got some ideas to take back to "Sgt. Baby showers"!!

Their prices is not cheaper than Joann. Its not expensive but after I go around in the neigborhood, I found cheaper prices than theirs. Regret that I bought it otherwise I would buy from other stores who have better prices. Look around first before you buy here

I think out of all the craft stores in the fashion district, this one is the biggest. They have a wide selection of ribbon (I think bigger than Stats) and favors for any event. They have more baby shower stuff though. I bought a bird cage here for $5 for my wedding and oriental trading company had one for $20! You can't beat that! You can look at my birdcage on one of my pictures ( I went wedding crazy and it's on my head). Only problem is that their wire sculptures are unfinished. But then you can get creative with the ribbon and fabric they sell there. I also bought 12 wire tulips about 12 inches tall for about $13. They have a better, wider selection than some of the similar craft stores in that area. I know I am coming here for baby shower stuff.

This is the place to go for ribbon, baby shower favors and basically anything you would by at Michaels. BUUUTTTTT: WITHOUT THE INSANE MARKUP!!! I could not believe the prices when I first saw them. I pretty much stock my entire crafts closet ever time I come here for a fraction of what I would pay at other crafts stores. It amazes me every time.

Awesome store for arts n crafts. I specifically came to buy ribbon, feathers, fake jewels to make ladies 1920's headbands. Specially ribbons, fake flowers, fake jewels etc. Prices super cheap and if you're smart, bargain with the cashier! Parking is metered. I would totally come back here.

The prices were really good, but some of the merchandise looked cheap... Not all of it- there were some really good items. Their items very. There was no help on the floor and it was really crowded. Plus everything was was a really tight space and it was difficult to get through all the aisles.

I have been coming for about 2 yrs. and you can find many craft ideas and supplies. Their prices are great, the staff is friendly. Plus the coupon on yelp works!

I went yesterday and was fascinated by all the party and craft supplies they had but some things were over priced I saw a roll of tulle plain Ivory for $20 I went next door they had the ivory roll for only $10

This place is great! Went to LA looking for centerpieces for my daughter's quinceanera. Maple Craft is the first place we went to and ended up being the place we returned to, to make our purchase. With it being LA, you go there for price and quantity, not for customer service. I was so surprised with the courteous help we received here. My comadre who frequently goes to LA (but not this store in particular) says she has never received such great service like this. ALL of the employees who happened to be near us asked if we needed assistance and when we did, they went our of their way to help us. Not just with finding the items we needed, but also with ideas of what we were looking for. We found everything we needed to create the centerpieces all the way down to the hot glue for an AWESOME price! Since the store is pretty big, you seem to get lost in what you are looking for and where to find it, but with all the help around, don't hesitate to ask! Alex, who seemed to be a manager there was fabulous! He helped us with so much. Since they didn't have all of the one item we needed, he assured me they would get more....which they did...and right when he said. Though I am not a fan of driving to LA, I would definitely return to this store for future needs! Parking right across the street was $5 for the whole day (on a Sunday). It was a win-win day :)

This place has all kinds of knick knacks for the creative type ! If you're making large scale invitations or decorations, this is the spot !
