Maple Street Biscuit Co. Is Baking on James Island - Eater Carolinas

"Promising comfort food with a modern twist, Jacksonville, Florida-based Maple Street Biscuit Co. finally unlocked the doors on its James Island store. The flaky buttermilk biscuit specialists took over corner space 'U' at the James Island Center at 1739 Maybank Hwy., which was formerly home to the shuttered James Island Cleaners. The fast-casual, family friendly Maple Street Biscuit Co. serves only at breakfast and lunch and never on Sundays. The menu is full of almost every combination of biscuits imaginable, including a sticky maple, the Squawking Goat with fried chicken and goat cheese, plus biscuits and sausage gravy, and entrees such as a vanilla bean waffle with Asiago and pecanwood smoke bacon baked in. The comfort selections also extend to the sides, including bluegrass grits cut with cream cheese and the hashbrown cake stuffed with Gouda cheese. There’s also a kids’ menu, as well as multiple coffees, teas, and juices to choose from." - Erin Perkins

The staff was amazing! This was our first time in Charleston and the staff here gave us some fabulous suggestions on things to do in the area. Liz and Mia (happy birthday) are the epitome of good people. Brody was the cook that day and the food was perfection! My husband had the chicken and waffles while I had the retro breakfast. The waffles were soft in all the right places and cooked to perfection. The chicken was excellent! The gravy is phenomenal! It had a slight kick to it but not so spicy it wasn't enjoyable. Oh and fresh squeezed OJ. 10 out of 10 for this place and the staff!

The last time we visited Charleston, we stayed on James Island and we stumbled upon this place. Wow! We loved everything about it and went back two more times before we headed for home. So when we were back in North Charleston this year for vacation, we made a special trip to revisit the place. It was just as good as we remembered it. The food is OUTSTANDING. The service was friendly and helpful and, most importantly, our great memory of Maple Street Biscuit Co. was not tarnished. We will be back!

I loved the food options on the menu. The staff that I interact with was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was hot and tasty. I was able to identify the difference with the quality of the ingredients used. I tried the different in house made condiments. I would recommend you try it for yourself. The music choice was nice 👌and not loud. The place had long tables to accommodate groups. The restroom was clean. If I had to say anything bad, it would be ..... nothing.I have nothing to say. I will visit again to check the consistency.

Google
This is our favorite place to eat on vacation in Charleston. Biscuits are always soft and fluffy and we have not had anything that was less than 10/10. Service is excellent. We come here every morning we are in town and highly recommend!

Google
The place had a very homey feeling. We ate sweet grace and smashed hash browns. Which was a wonderful breakfast 10/10. We had a small problem with getting drinks but afterwards it was worth it!

Google
Terrific staff - all very polite, friendly and helpful. Great food, too. Biscuits are dense & chewy with a crispy top crust. We love their Risky Biscuits (Biscuits & Gravy), Biscuit French Toast, The Farmer, & The Sticky Maple! And don't forget to try their delicious B² Jam which is a mixture of strawberry & blueberry with the consistency of syrup. The fried chicken on the biscuit sandwiches are perfectly nice & crispy on the outside and seasoned just right. We've visited twice in the past week because we enjoy the food so much. Great experience both times.

Google
Deliciously Perfect—Even Better Than Biscuits! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got here, but from the moment I walked in, everything was warm, welcoming, and buttery smooth. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the attention to detail? Chef’s kiss. Now, I know five stars is a lot… but let’s put it this way: If this place were a biscuit, it wouldn’t crumble under pressure. 😄 Highly recommend—you’ll leave full, happy, and possibly thinking about carbs.

Yelp
Service was great, very nice and friendly staff! Nice place to have breakfast or brunch with whomever. They have tables outside with umbrellas as well. Ordered an egg & cheese biscuit ($6) and crispy potatoes to-go. Biscuit was very average and also tasted as if it had been sitting for a while or was overcooked. The edges were so tough! Basically only ate the middle of the biscuit. Cheese slice was so large that I tore some of it off, but that seems to be a common theme for the restaurant -- large toppings. Potatoes were crispy, but the seasoning has to have some cayenne pepper in it. Definitely felt some heat on my tongue haha. There were also remnants of some other fried food mixed in. Oh and they were also $4, which I believe is too much for the amount I received. I've been here before, years ago, and I remember this tasting a lot better. I'd try again soon.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Wasn't sure what to get, so the nice lady recommended the squeaking goat. She told me it's been featured on television--I forget what show. Wow. This did not disappointed. I'm usually not a fan of goat cheese but it was so good on it. Plus with the fresh biscuit and chicken. Wow!! Also ordered an iced cinnamon biscuit on the aide, and maple vanilla latte. Yum!!
google avatar

Fatima M.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast and had the squawking goat and chicken fried steaks. They were both delicious and the servings were huge. Their coffee was just ok though.

Yelp
Delicious food, and excellent service. The staff is friendly and attentive - sit down restaurant quality service with counter order convenience. We've eaten here several mornings while in town for a visit and it's been excellent each time.

Yelp
Good looking location, easy to get to on James Island. Nice selection of breakfast and lunch items, and I think you can get the more breakfast focused items any time. For my first visit I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy. Two regular sized biscuits and a mountain of gravy, at first I didn't think it was enough food. But after finishing I was indeed full. Worth checking out for sure.

Yelp
You won't be sorry! We were quite surprised and a little disappointed to find out this was a "place your order and have a seat" type of ; however, that was quickly diminished once we stepped up to the counter to order. The girl at the counter was very friendly, answered the questions we had. The "Dark Bark" coffee was out of this world. Hubby had the "Five and Dime". I had the "Sweet potato hash". They were BOTH incredible!!! The decor was appealing in industrial style, super clean and situated as to bring people together to chat. Loved this place! Wish we could go back.

Yelp
Great experience at this restaurant! Food was delicious, staff were courteous and pleasant. Besides those good attributes, they didn't want any tips! Almost a novelty these days, and I e which I greatly appreciate. Thank you, James Island Maple St. Bakery.

Yelp
Went for lunch with my son in law. I've only had a biscuit at work meetings but they were good enough for me to remember. So glad we drove to Johns Island. We got some apps and yummy pumpkin maple lattes. Our mains were delicious and the only thing left over was 1 fried green tomato. They're only open until 3pm so be sure to get there before they close. We arrived at 830 and it was perfect timing (maybe I shouldn't share that secret)

Yelp
Unfortunately I visited Maple Street Biscuit Company for breakfast in bed Fathers Day meal. I ordered the Five and Dime Chicken Biscuit with bacon, cheddar cheese, with shiitake gravy and O'brady home fries. Well when I arrived home to surprise my husband there was only a biscuit, gravy and home fries. Unbelievable, I tried to call the restaurant but no answer. So I drove back to the restaurant and the manager reviewed the receipt and stated you're missing the chicken. With that being said he offered my money back or a new order but they ran out of biscuits which may take 30 minutes. I received my money back and had to purchase a quick meal from Wendy's instead. What a disappointment in customer service for this establishment

Yelp
Service is good, food is good, although it took longer than expected for our two meals to be prepared. So glad they have vegetarian gravy options! Cashier was super friendly, tables and restrooms were clean, and surprisingly there was no wait on a Saturday morning. I went to one in St. Augustine once and the line was out the door. Overall would return; beware if you're a person with social anxiety they will put you on the spot by asking a goofy question instead of your name! But the question was posted by the door so you can prepare.

Yelp
Wonderful service from Linda and Boaz! Great food!! Love the gravy! Clean restaurant and lots of menu choices!

Yelp
It's a nice open place with indoor and outdoor seating. I had 2 eggs, 2 bacon, biscuit and jam, and 2 potato cake things. It might have been called a retro plate. The over-medium eggs were perfect, the bacon was tender, and the surprise hit were the potatoes! The biscuit was fine, but the jam was runny and over-the-top sweet. The coffee was good, although they ran out of the lighter roast and that never got refilled. Good size coffee cups :) I would come here again to try their sandwiches and maybe the gravy with the biscuits.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
I really the biscuit and fried chicken. The dirty chai latte was tasty too. The staff and their energies emitted good vibes.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast biscuits and super-friendly staff! We had the sticky maple biscuit with fried chicken and bacon - it did not disappoint! A shout out to Maya who made sure our experience was perfect.

Yelp
A relaxing farm to table style brunch spot with delicious food, large portions, and quick & friendly service. At the counter they have a question-of-the-day that you answer and they use it to call out your order when ready. When we went it was "what's your dream job" so we got to hear everyone's answers while we waited for our food. The orange juice is made in-house daily from freshly squeezed oranges and it tastes amazing. I was glad it wasn't store bought juice and it's pulp free for those who don't like the texture. I ordered the extreme biscuits and gravy (sausage gravy) and it came with two large fluffy biscuits and two eggs any style on top with lots of gravy. We also ordered a side of hash browns, which are nicely seasoned and didn't need sauce to enjoy. My boyfriend ordered the steak breakfast tacos, which was loaded and sized to actual tacos, unlike a lot of breakfast places that do the mini tortillas. He ordered 3 thinking they'd be small. Needless to say, we'll be returning for breakfast again and I think next time I'll try one of the following, because it all sounds delicious: retro plate, sweet grace, or one of their biscuit sandwiches

Yelp
Very cute place I just happen to come across without plans! It got very busy which means you know it's good! They run this place like a well oiled machine! I also didn't realize that it was featured on The Foodnetwork! Nothing from this place is bad!!
google avatar

Chel A.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Biscuit was pretty big and very tasty (I got the Cowboy). Not hard or dry and butter enough without being too oily. I can also appreciate the free refill on the Peach Berry Lemonade which was super refreshing.
google avatar

Jillian W.

Yelp
I am a bit biased but it's so hard for me to get anything other than the Squawking Goat- if you are a goat cheese lover, this is the GOAT! Soft biscuit, crispy fried chicken, nice sized goat cheese medallion, and hot pepper jelly?! Absolutely amazing! Very cute environment as well!
google avatar

Yelp
This had to be one of the best breakfast spots I've ever had and I'm a big breakfast person. Everything was delicious homemade from scratch and the customer service was excellent. Definitely recommend this place again and I look forward to visiting Charleston again and going here.

Yelp
They got it together...food and service this AM both very good. Recommend the five and dime and of course a cup of maple tap coffee.

Yelp
Sooooo tasty!!! Buttery flaky biscuits that oozed into my mouth! Just great tasting gravy and never expecting mushroom gravy to do that!! What a great surprise!!

John I.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and helpful navigating through the menu. As a counter-friendly restaurant they were well organized. The restaurant is a combo coffee shop and eatery. The biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs was really good. Definitely going back.

Jason C.

Yelp
In a VERY unexpected turn, this is NOT your Momma's Biscuit Restaurant. This writer enjoyed "The Cowboy" and even though the Buiscuit had a healthy portion of Sausage Gravy, I could still taste the incredible smoke flavor of the bacon. The key word for all three of these entrees listed is Juicy. The Country Fried Steak was full of flavor and savory. The gravy although had a kick, did not over whelm the flavors of the rest of the meal. The Cheddar cheese fused to the bacon adhered to the country fried steak creating the smokey fusion of flavor. he waffles for the Sweet Grace although appeared to be over cooked at first glance, was light and fluffy on the interior. The syrup that is part of the staple along with the AMAZING made from Scratch buiscuits, was sweet and light as well, not heavy and poor taste. The Restaurant it's self is a healthy mix of Rustic and Modern industrial. The exposed metal work of the ceiling meshed pleasantly with the reclaimed wood light fixtures throughout the building. The tables are wooden with metal chairs that are comfortable to sit in. This Reviewer also enjoyed a Maple Vanilla Iced Latte. All be it the name implies a sugary Maple Syrup taste, the flavors meld into a smooth Vanilla Latte with a hint of the Maple around. Truly enjoyable and worthe a Second buy.

Yelp
First let me say I am a Charleston Native and I was born making biscuits from scratch. That's what we do here in the south. This breakfast was hands down so ridiculously good I could not wait to write this!!!!! I had the squawking goat which was a lightly fried chicken breast topped with creamy goat cheese and home made red pepper jelly. My husband had the five and dime which was also a fried chicken breast topped with a perfectly fried over medium egg and sausage milk gravy. Perfect milk gravy is super important in the south. You have to know how to make good sausage milk gravy if you put it on that biscuit! The orange juice is fresh squeezed too! Plus, first time visitors get a sweet treat-a warm cinnamon biscuit topped with icing. All I can say is, you better stay in the gym if you are going to eat here!!! Supremely delicious! Come eat!! Then go home and take a nap

Yelp
I had breakfast at Maple Street Biscuit recently, and it was good but not great. Definitely not the place to go for a healthy meal. I had a plain biscuit and it was good, but not worth the wait. If you are looking for loaded biscuits with egg, gravy, etc., this is definitely the spot for you.

Rachel A.

Yelp
This place was so good, we went back twice on our vacation! The biscuits and the caramel coffee are delicious. The service and atmosphere were great. I loved that it was nearby our Airbnb!
google avatar

Sydney F.

Yelp
Quality food and a great environment. I loved everything I ate here, and went back the next day for a cinnamon biscuit to try. The service is a little slow because the food is cooked fresh, but it's more of a sit down restaurant than "fast food" in that regard. Definitely worth waiting for!

Ben D.

Yelp
A cute little breakfast stop that had such a big impact on my whole visit while in Charleston. Before I get in the menu, the staff immediately greeted me with a smiles just like the good ole Midwest. The food was amazing and love the scratch kitchen part of things when it comes to the biscuits, food and jams. Will for sure be back in my next visit and a shoutout to the lovely female manager that went above and beyond to make sure a got a maple sweet service. Love, love, love this place. Come to the Midwest next!!!

Yelp
This place is an easy 4-5 star for the actual recipes and food. Everything tastes fresh and makes good combinations, I've just had bad experiences here multiple times in a row for everything but the food. It's always a hefty wait, regardless of how busy they were. Last time I got the club and the lettuce they gave me had been eaten from the middle out - obvious pest intrusion and the middle was rotted and brown. I'd call anyone who complained about slight browning on the edges of lettuce a Karen but this was egregious and should never have been put on food. Whoever prepped the sandwich was just straight up not paying attention. It was a huge brown hole smack dab in the middle of it. This was probably 4-5 months ago and it just turned me off the restaurant for a while. I decided to give it another go this morning and decided to order online so I wouldn't have to wait in store for their long prep times. Placed at 9:15 and it gave an estimated pickup time of 10:00 for a solitary biscuit and a side of home fries. Arrived at 10 and was told they were 'still making it'. There was no one in line and 7 people currently eating in the restaurant. Ordered at 9:15 and received by solitary biscuit and side at 10:15. Went home and my chicken biscuit literally had no chicken on it. Double checked the receipt that they gave me and it said chicken biscuit. I can't decide if putting rotted food on a biscuit is better or worse than putting no food at all on it. The biscuit and side were so tasty, which is what makes it all the more the shame. This place could easily be one of my go-tos but for whatever reason they just can't ever get my simple orders right. As I was waiting, a couple left and told the manager that it was the best breakfast they'd had and they couldn't wait to be back. That could be me! Just give me what I order and make sure the produce isn't rotten! You have the hard stuff down, do the easy stuff!
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
Ok so I really try not to write one star reviews, but today we are floored. We arrived around 10:30 and there was no one in line so we placed our order and took a seat. 1 hour later we asked what was going on. THEY RAN OUT OF BISCUITS. What?! Now, I get it. We all have hard days, but then the girl said our order was coming up next. After 6 more orders came up that we're not ours we asked for a refund because we were trying to make it home in time for the game at noon. Then our order came up. And it was wrong and they weren't able to issue a refund. We left and will not return. I will miss many things but nothing I can't make at home. So long old friend.

Yelp
South Carolina is known for 1.) Barbecue 2.) Seafood 3.) Southern Breakfasts Of the WHOLE STATE. The Best Southern Biscuits are here. These Handcrafted biscuits are soft, flaky, and DELICIOUS. The gravy tastes just the way your grandma would make them on a Sunday morning; warm, savory, and salty. The Chicken is not only: warm, crispy, greasy, and flaky... it's also right in between a thick layer of gravy separating the eggs and LEGENDARY biscuits. They also offer handcrafted lattes and sweet and salty biscuits if, for some odd reason, you don't want to taste the best gravy in South Carolina. Once you taste these Biscuit Sandwiches right off the grill, you'll understand why everybody comes to Maple Street.

Yelp
One of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I know we have to be patient these days due to staffing, but this was NOT a staffing issue, it is a very poorly ran location with plenty of staff standing around or moving like sloths. We ordered our food and waiting OVER an hour for our food, they were getting out about 1 order every 15-20 minutes, with a restaurant full of impatient customers constantly approaching the counter. Finally gave up on getting our food and politely asked for a refund, and then the guy at the front counter said it wasn't working but took a picture of the receipt and said to call back tomorrow and he will try again. Unacceptable.

Yelp
When looking for a fast, cute, and filling breakfast shop, MSBC is it. Full of fun biscuit combinations, friendly faces, and prompt service.

Yelp
We had such a pleasant experience at the Charlotte and Greenville locations. Our experience here was just blah. The line wasn't long and at all. We were able to order quickly and find a table. I ordered the five and dime and my boyfriend ordered the squawking goat. I was disappointed by the lack of gravy on my biscuit. I believe the gravy is one of the most important components. It also wasn't very warm and lacked flavor. My boyfriend didn't like anything about his biscuit. He also didn't like his drink--a caramel mocha frappe. He said it was bitter. Everything was just meh. We plan on staying away from this location.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. It started off w us looking bewildered and being joined by an incredibly friendly worker to guide us through our options. She sipped her mug of coffee while helping us make our choices and navigate their system. Food was very good. For my wife it edged into the "spicy" side, but that's quite easy to do! Lol. Cool vibe to the business. Their mission is clearly stated and their service and product lives up to it.

Aspen P.

Yelp
Berry lemonade is one of the best I've ever tasted, they have an incredible napkin supply, food is mouth watering, delicious, palatable, flavorous, juicy, appetizing, dainty, yum-yum, and to die for. Although the wait was pretty long, very good ambiance and service to make up for the wait.
google avatar

Antoine D.

Yelp
Had to come by while in Charleston, one of the many great places here. This place never disappoints. I ordered the five and dimes.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Easily the best biscuit meals I've had in recent memory. Wide variety of options. Never had a problem with service. And most of the tables are huge for big parties of guests. Wish it was cheaper that's all.

Yelp
I would love to review the food, but I can't bc I never received mine after an hour and half. It was busy and they said food would take about 40 due to staffing. Ok, it's Sunday morning and the FB situation in CHS is known. So we wait. And wait. And wait. At about 45 mins one person in our group of 4 gets their food. It's cold and greasy. We start asking about the rest of the food after another 10 mins. Get told it's next up. Almost 30 mins later they act like they don't recognize the name or order. Keep asking us to be patient "bc of staffing." People behind us got food. But tons of people waiting long time. Eventually demanded money back and was told they were out of grits and it takes a half hour? PS- it's not a staffing issue. The kitchen had a bunch of people in it. All kids standing around and not seeming to know how to organize anything. No one busing tables. No one refilling silverware. Couldn't keep story straight about our food. If there was a manager it was another HS student. You're charging entirely too much money for your food (and asking for a tip off the jump??) to produce this kind of service and expect people to just deal. Maybe don't take DoorDash orders or something if you can't keep up bc of staff, or pay better to actually get staff, but based on the reviews this has been an issue for a LONG time and nothing seems to have been done. That leads me to believe it's just their MO and not an incidental lack of staff.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
This is an incredible addition to the James Island family of restaurants. They truly value the essence of Southern hospitality. From the moment you walk in until you leave, you are family. Every employee believes that and lives by example. The food is from the heart. I know the rave is the biscuits and those Southern savory delights but I'm gonna rave on the salads. The ingredients are so fresh, they pop with flavor I cannot emphasize that enough and their homemade honey balsamic is incredible. This is a place to visit and keep coming back They are closed on Sunday and only open for breakfast and lunch hours.

Yelp
I've had Maple Street Biscuit Company on my radar since I first saw the sign go up on Maybank several months ago. From the outside, I thought it was going to be a small table service location -- I had it all wrong! When you walk in, you grab a menu and wait your turn in line to place an order. The menu is packed full of awesome choices from savory to sweet and features some great coffee choices as well (lattes, coffee, etc.). Between my husband and myself, we ordered the Five and Dime, Biscuits Frenche, macaroni and cheese, maple latte and a regular latte. Despite the calories being marked on the menu, I still went with the Biscuits French (1600-1700!). This dish featured two pecan biscuits, sliced in half and prepared french toast style, served with strawberries and whipped cream. I ate half and was full so I saved on calories there -- the remaining was great reheated the next morning. My husband on the other hand was able to clear through his giant meal and absolutely loved it; he said several times he cannot wait to return. He also is a fan of hot sauce and they have several specialty blends to choose from. Another nice touch was the fact that you can see the kitchen and biscuits being home made as you're ordering -- they are definitely fresh once you order! We will plan on returning, and pretty soon I'm sure!

Yelp
Friendly customer service from the moment that I walked in. The young woman working the counter was extremely polite and knowledgeable of the menu items. The food was pretty good in general however their biscuits were very good. They were flaky and moist, everything you want your biscuit to be! My only complaint would be that I ordered the firebird and my friend ordered the chicken club and the portion sizes varied greatly, while both came topped with fried chicken breast mine was about half the size of my friend's who ordered the chicken club. My biscuit as a whole didn't even compare, they may need quality control to ensure accurate portion sizes but other than that my server who was so sweet brought me a complimentary sample of the apple butter and another speciality jam that may have contained blackberries and they were both very good. The friendly customer service and moist flakey biscuits will definitely keep me coming back! FYI not open on Sundays

Yelp
What a nice place, order what you want, tell them you best movie, of which they call your order with, get your order and eat. Chocolate chip waffles, the best, light and airy. Strawberries fresh. Social distancing, masks, clean clean clean. Of course clean up after yourself. Worth it! Frank G. Oh yea, the coffee is housed in those warming jugs, however it does not keep the coffee hot.
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
Um... Yum! I can't believe it took me so long to give this place a try. Wonderful breakfast options and a really cool open floor plan space. There is a lot on the menu that I still want to try and I will be back for sure. Really friendly and welcoming staff that was great with recommendations and service. Now, I'm giving it the 4 of 5 because of the price point. Yes the portions are good size, but... just a bit more than you're looking to pay for breakfast. We didn't go over the top and still paid over $35.

Yelp
Loved this place! Warm and friendly greeting. Bottomless coffee bar with a good variety, but the Maple Tap is my fave (we bought some beans to bring home). As we were perusing the menu, and enjoying our coffee, we were brought a complimentary pecan biscuit - which was delicious. It may be something they are adding to the menu. My husband ordered the Reinhold, a chicken breast on a biscuit in a pool of Honey Mustard; which was good, but maybe just too much swimming? I had the Blue Grass Grits, creamy, hot, tasty, just the right amount of hot sauce, grated cheddar cheese and really, really good bacon, all topped with an over easy egg. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy, and the gravy was spot on with pepper and sausage. Nice and thick with just the right amount of spice. Oh, how do you pass up mac and cheese topped with Cheezits? So tasty, not drippy gooey, but a good cheddar. Loved loved loved this! We brought home 2 jars of the pepper jelly to enjoy over the holdiay. It is sweet and spice, but not so much heat you can't enjoy the flavors. Thanks guys! Such an enjoyable lunch!

Yelp
Their biscuits, shiitake gravy, and fried chicken are absolutely delicious! They have a good coffee selection and have self serve coffee with great options. There's plenty of seating. If you come during a busy time especially on weekends expect to have a long wait time for your food.

Yelp
We tried this place because it's relatively close to home and it has such good reviews on Yelp. The environment is a laid back open space with an inviting vibe. All of the people working we interacted with were super nice. I got the Sticky Maple, basically a biscuit with fried chicken, bacon and maple syrup. The chicken was done perfectly, the breading was SO good. The hubs got The Five, a biscuit, fried chicken, bacon and sausage gravy. The sausage gravy has big chunks of sausage and has a little kick. Both were very good, but I liked the Sticky Maple better. There is bottomless good coffee. We also tried a maple vanilla latte. It's pretty sweet, which you would expect with the name. We cut it with regular coffee and it was perfect for us. If you love sweet, you'll love that latte.

Yelp
Wow! So damn good. We stopped by on our way out of Charleston (driving down the coast) and wanted to grab something quick, delicious and handheld to eat in the car. We both got the Farmer biscuit sandwich with a fried egg added to it. The Farmer Sandwich $11.00 - Flaky biscuit, all natural fried chicken breast, pecan wood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, topped with our house-made apple butter. The Apple butter came on the side and it is absolutely delicious. I'm not a huge fan of savory/sweet so I'm going to save the Apple butter for tomorrow morning and I'll schmear it on an English muffin. Fresh, delicious and the perfect last taste of Charleston!

Yelp
This is an amazing quick service restaurant for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Service is always exceptional here. During COVID, all employees were masked and gloved. Tables were set up for social distancing, and employees made your beverages for you and provided you with silverware. My favorite biscuit is the $9 Squawking Goat: flaky biscuit, all-natural fried chicken breast, fried goat cheese medallion and house-made pepper jelly (779 Calories; featured on Food Network). I do wish they'd add a few natural soda/drink options to their menu.
