Mar y Cielo is a truly exceptional place in Cartagena. The venue offers different environments — some secret and private (don’t forget to ask!), each with its own charm and atmosphere. The food, drinks, and service are all of the highest quality, making every visit memorable. A fantastic spot for those looking to enjoy great cuisine, premium cocktails, and a unique multi-space experience. Highly recommended.

Please look at my other posts so you understand where I have been in Colombia. This was possibility the worst dining experience in this country. The restaurant was mostly empty at 9pm, but yet I was rushed to order. I ordered my drink first - after 10 mins order my appetizer. Thank goodness I did not place my entree order. My appetizer (crudo) came out 2 mins after I ordered it. It was decent but not memorable. I inquired about my drink, on two occasions, only to have an undrinkable cocktail arrive at my table. My plates were being cleared while I was in mid bite, with food on my plate. There are MUCH better places in Cartagena to have a memorable experience. I had to take a short walk to La Cevicheria to finish my dinner.

You HAVE to come here. Eat on the rooftop at night order the ceviche and the tortellini! Literally I think I died it was so good!! Andrew was the most gracious server too! He knew his menu and was absolutely delightful.

One of the best restaurants in Cartagena - but unfortunately just very little options for vegetarians and vegans. Needs to be improved to be on the top in future. The quality of the meals are very good, but it still feels a bit overpriced. The roof top terrace is beautiful and the service very good

Very nice, I like 👍👍. Really amazing starters especially the one with kale. Croquettas were really good too. Staff was very friendly and the place was beautiful. Tred to order cocktails and two of my choices were not available, kinda weird for a restaurant with a relatively small menu - but the cocktail was great so it works out I guess 🤷

Everything was very good, the food is tasty with an excellent presentation. The only downside was a drink. We ordered Negroni which came with a slash ice. Not a classical version. That itself might be ok, but the glass was very tall. Since it was with the slash, you have to use the straw. It made it awkward to drink. I had to put my glass below the table every time I was sipping. They should change the glass for this version of the drink.

Truly exceptional experience. The food was perfect and exciting, the wine recommendations were delicious, the decor/ambience is to die for, and the service is spectacular. Highly recommend checking out the rooftop bar after dinner for a nightcap.
