Where to Find the Best Food in Cartagena, Colombia

"Housed in a multi-story heritage building in the Old City, this gastro-bar blends local flavors with modern gastronomy across several artfully decorated rooms. Small plates and starters to look for include eggplant preparations and carimañolas (yuca fritters stuffed with cheese), while mains range from a simple fish of the day to the signature Titote Mar y Tierra, which pairs seafood with pork belly and Cartagena’s coconut rice. Wine enthusiasts can linger in the cava for international bottles, and the rooftop bar offers panoramic city views, creative cocktails, and a lively nightlife scene on weekends." - Ksenia Prints

The 35 Best Restaurants in Cartagena, Colombia | Eater

"At this gastrobar ensconced in a beautiful old house, Peruvian chef Mariano Cerna satisfies the most demanding palates in the world with a fusion between his Peruvian heritage, Colombian ingredients, and contemporary techniques. He serves sophisticated preparations of lobster, duck, crab, and chicharron, among other specialties. The space contains a main dining room, terrace, and two bars, but wherever you sit, don’t miss the ceviche del viajero (fresh fish marinated in a leche de tigre of aromatic herbs, unripe mango pickles, and cilantro sauce). Very nice, I like 👍👍. Really amazing starters especially the one with kale. Croquettas were really good too. Staff was very friendly and the place was beautiful. Tred to order cocktails and two of my choices were not available, kinda weird for a restaurant with a relatively small menu - but the cocktail was great so it works out I guess 🤷

Truly exceptional experience. The food was perfect and exciting, the wine recommendations were delicious, the decor/ambience is to die for, and the service is spectacular. Highly recommend checking out the rooftop bar after dinner for a nightcap.

Everything was very good, the food is tasty with an excellent presentation. The only downside was a drink. We ordered Negroni which came with a slash ice. Not a classical version. That itself might be ok, but the glass was very tall. Since it was with the slash, you have to use the straw. It made it awkward to drink. I had to put my glass below the table every time I was sipping. They should change the glass for this version of the drink.

The vibes of this place were on point. We loved every chair and plant here. The tables were a little snug for our group but overall the aesthetics were giving. Definitely an IG restaurant for pictures. We weren’t 100% sold on the food but a cute place for drinks and pics. Would recommend lots of places nearby to walk to as well after.

We picked the restaurant for my birthday because the ratings were good and because of the rooftop terrace. The restaurant looks great and the view to the church tower is nice. The cocktails are great but the wine bottles are expensive and the open wine didn’t convince. The food looks great but the taste also didn’t really get us. In total a great rooftop bar but for a nice dinner I would recommend something’ else

Fabulous experience! We sat on the rooftop and it was so great. Wonderful service. Yummy cocktails and food. Overall loved it! A little on the pricey side compared to other places but that is to be expected I think. Highly recommend! Their complimentary bread was also amazing lol!!

I loved the food, both appetizers and the main that I tried were excellent and I thought it was great value. The crab cakes truly tasted like crab, the eggplant was a perfect mix of charred and creamy, and the rice and shrimp had perfect spiciness, smoky flavor, and it was cooked excellently. Even the free bread and tomato butter were delicious. On the other hand, the dessert left me pretty disappointed, with almost no chocolate and a very mild flavor. The staff was attentive and friendly. The rooftop is nice, but people smoke while you are eating which I don't like.

Had a long lunch here with friends today. Every item that we ordered was spectacular and our waiter David was great. Would highly recommend!
