"We go to this family-run lasagneria for lunch and choose from the seven lasagnas on the menu: eggplant, mushroom, verdura, butternut squash, abruzzo with housemade sausage, bianca, and bolognese, and each one is layered with ultra-thin pasta, creamy béchamel, and tomato sauce. Unless you get a whole sheet that serves six, the lasagnas are made for one and are roughly the size of a small novel. There are also several ways to experience Marcella’s lasagna—outside on their sidewalk patio, or for takeout (you can also ask for it cold and warm it up at home for later)." - lani conway

"There’s nothing fancy about the inside of Marcella’s Lasagneria — there are just a handful of tables and the chairs look like they belong on a patio — but you’re not going there for the décor. You’re going there for mouth-watering, calorie-laden, indulgent Italian food. Specifically the lasagna: six layers of thin pasta, béchamel tomato sauce, parmigiano, mozzarella, and a choice of seven fillings, including handmade Italian sausage, Bolognese, and mushroom. There are other pasta dishes as well, all of which are made each day on the premises. Only problem? It’s only open Tuesday through Saturday and only for lunch." - Justine Jones
"Mushroom Lasagna Marcella’s is a family-run Dogpatch lasagneria that’s open for lunch. They have seven lasagnas on the menu to choose from: eggplant, mushroom, verdura, butternut squash, abruzzo with house-made sausage, bianca, and bolognese, and each one is layered with ultra-thin pasta, creamy béchamel, and tomato sauce. Unless you get a whole sheet that serves six, the lasagnas are made for one and are roughly the size of a small, thick novel. There are also several ways to experience Marcella’s lasagna - outside under a white tent on their sidewalk patio, or for takeout (you can also ask for it cold and warm it up at home for later)." - team infatuation
