28 Best Places for Shopping in Paris | Condé Nast Traveler

"Flea market lore is right: I experienced Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen as arguably the world’s largest antiques and second-hand marketplace—spanning seven hectares with roughly 1,700 vendors and drawing about 5 million visitors a year—where you can hunt for everything from home goods to textiles, though true bargains are becoming harder and harder to find." - Lindsey Tramuta

This Is Paris’s Coolest Flea Market – Here’s Why It’s A Must-Visit

Spread across seven hectares and made up of twelve covered markets and five different shopping streets, this vast ‘super-flea’ feels like a whole other world rather than just a simple market. It’s pretty huge and famous enough to feature in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, and wandering through it means discovering everything from seventeenth- and eighteenth-century antiques to stalls piled with vinyls, prints and clothes. Within the complex, the Passage is the go-to spot for book-shopping, with rare editions, retro copies of classic works, beautiful art books and more than enough postcards to fulfil even the wildest collector dreams. - Liv Kelly

So much more than a flea market, this is immense; antiques, galleries, specialties, music media, instruments, nostalgia, fashion, you name it. Much of it is organized in specialized boutiques; fabulous. This is a place to get to know if you live in Paris because it is the ultimate resource for anything you may need. Get there early and give yourself time to explore; there’s a lot to see!

Not your typical flea market. First of all it is the largest flea market in the world and is massive with 10 different sections. You can find everything from antiques, vintage art and postcards, furniture, records/cds/cassettes and curated vintage clothing. Prices are on higher end but there are some good deals to be found, you may just have to look hard. Definitely worth checking out if you like secondhand and vintage decor.

It’s more a collection of tiny shops rather than flea market set ups. Prices quite high, but good place to admire Parisian wares and art.

Impressive flea market where you can literally get lost. It felt like a treasure cove.and the three generations in our party enjoyed the visit immensely.

This was a really cool and fun place! It was great to explore all the stalls and local items! The four stars is because it was really difficult to find an ATM! So bring cash!

Wow wow this place is so interesting with some amazing finds. The people who own the stalls are very friendly and knowledgeable. ( all except one. Who I think must have been having a bad day. The man who was selling vintage Burberry.) who asked me would I look at the label in a Burberry shop!!!!!! Of course not. ??? But other than his stupid comment an absolutely amazing day. Please visit. I will definitely be recommending this as a must go visit

My visit to the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen in Paris felt like stepping into a living museum. The market is huge, but not overwhelming—each section has its own personality. Some lanes are filled with antique furniture and vintage art, while others have old books, jewelry, vinyl records, and quirky collectibles. What I loved most was the atmosphere: friendly shop owners, slow music from nearby cafés, and the feeling that every item has a story behind it. It’s a perfect place to wander without rushing. Even if you don’t plan to buy anything, the charm, history, and creativity of this market make it worth spending a few hours. It’s easily one of the most unique experiences in Paris.

Google
5-star rating for the experience. You can find everything from junk on the sides of the streets to high-grade antiques in specialised shops. Don’t expect to find any bargains here. Everything is at the top level of the price range for the condition its in, or way overpriced (except perhaps for the junk mentioned above). I sincerely recommend it for the experience, for a few and surprisingly good cafés that are among the shops, and for bying interesting things if you can find them and if you can afford the asking price. Some price haggling can be had, but not much. Expect to spend quite a few hours walking around. (I never manage to spend less than 3-4 hours per visit and I could easily spend double that time, despite having been there for at least 4-5 times.) The things that one can see, are incredible. The place is alive only on weekends. I have gone there on weekdays and almost everything is closed. Saturday is probably the best day to visit. Highly recommended if you like that sort of thing as I do.
