Spread across seven hectares and made up of twelve covered markets and five different shopping streets, this vast ‘super-flea’ feels like a whole other world rather than just a simple market. It’s pretty huge and famous enough to feature in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, and wandering through it means discovering everything from seventeenth- and eighteenth-century antiques to stalls piled with vinyls, prints and clothes. Within the complex, the Passage is the go-to spot for book-shopping, with rare editions, retro copies of classic works, beautiful art books and more than enough postcards to fulfil even the wildest collector dreams. - Liv Kelly
