18 Iconic Seattle Dive Bars

"This Georgetown sports bar that’s been open since 1950 could win an award for displaying the most Washington State University memorabilia in the city. But their "broasted" fried chicken is what makes Marco Polo a true legend. It’s pressure-fried, so the inside stays juicy while the salty skin crisps up like it’s been sunbathing in a layer of tanning lotion all day." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

Seattle’s Best Dive Bars | Eater Seattle

"Seattle’s in her fried chicken era — for the last few years, there’s been a seemingly endless stream of slick, expensive chicken spots popping up all over town. But Marco Polo’s been holding it down since 1950, and their chicken is a perfect example of a simple thing done correctly. This old roadhouse serves the classic fried chicken and jojos of the ages, using its old-school pressure fryer with the giant crank on top, and the bar also does bingo and trivia nights. Make sure to sit at the vintage horseshoe-shaped bar—it’s perhaps the most fabulous midcentury-style bar in the city." - Meg van Huygen

Seattle’s Best Chicken Wings | Eater Seattle

"This Georgetown sports bar boldly proclaims that its chicken is world-famous. Internationally renowned or not, the wings are damn good, and you can get them with solid sides like jojos and pickle chips. Marco Polo has a patio, and you can also take chicken, growlers of beer, and bottles of wine and spirits to go." - Eater Staff

Marco Polo Bar & Grill Review - Georgetown - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This sports bar that’s been open since 1950 could win an award for displaying the most Washington State University memorabilia in the city. And while we'd come here exclusively to snack on cornmeal-dusted pickles alongside a cold beer, their "broasted" fried chicken is the real star. These huge pieces of thigh, wing, and breast are pressure-fried, so the inside stays juicy while the salty skin crisps up like it’s been sunbathing in a layer of tanning lotion all day. Don't be surprised when even the bouncer is clutching a drumstick as they come to check your ID. " - Kayla Sager-Riley

We had broasted chicken with jojos. I would say it’s good. This is a Tavern that have lots of locals that come after work. We had a nice time

Google
Very typical sports bar with a cool, fun vibe. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is what you'd expect from pub grub: nothing fancy, but pairs well with alcohol. There are TVs all over the place, so you're bound to find one with your event on it.

If you want to soak up great energy and welcoming kindness, this is your place. I am so grateful I found this place. I love that I can sing karaoke and be as silly as I want. That just gets the crowd to be silly as well! A place to let your inhibitions down with no judgement. This is a place with amazing staff, amazing food, and amazing energy. I will recommend this place to everyone. Props, guys!🌻

Google
they do a great job here. the bar is run efficiently, she can pour two taps at the same time, rushing icy cold beer into the frozen glasses like a beautiful glacial waterfall. So tasty at the end of a long day. good pub food too, I love the crisp fries!

I sauntered into Marco Polo, that Georgetown institution flanked by dusty pool tables and a bewildering shrine to Cougars fandom, greeted by exactly 13 HDTVs and a server who looked like they’d seen more playoff upsets than I have avocados gone bad. I ordered their world‑famous broasted fried chicken—juicy inside, crackling outside—a perfect yin to two pitchers of crisp IPA. Crinkle fries were…well, crinkly. Fried pickles and jalapeño poppers landed with righteous grease bombs; chicken wings danced in buffalo dip. Service? Friendly, unhurried—a comforting reminder Seattle still remembers how to say “here’s your drink” without tapping an app. Ambiance is divey chic in the best way: dim, a little sticky, defiantly real. Weird? Absolutely. Worth it? Hell, yeah—it’s Seattle at its unapologetic, greasy best.

When visiting Georgetown- this is a must go to. They pressure fry cook their chicken and it is absolutely amazingly delicious! Never dry and not super duper oily either. You get to add an extra piece of chicken for $2.00. They have you pick a side of french fries, Jo-Jos, Coleslaw, mac or potato salad. You can substitute Chili, onion rings or a side salad for $3.00. The 3 piece basket is $16.50. A killer deal in my opinion. We got the Marco Polo pub pretzel with spicy queso and mustard- it was huge for 4 people and the fried mushrooms which are always one of my favorites. They were sadly out of gizzards- so I just ended up getting an extra piece of chicken with my order tonight. Service is good- even on busier nights. They have 3 people waiting on tables, a bar back and a Chef in the kitchen. Always friendly and kind. Can get busy and loud in there as it gets later in the evening. We shared a table with other folks who were nice and had small talk with. Parking is sometimes hard to find- but it’s honestly worth the walk once you do find parking available. Lots of good beers on tap and a good variety of drinks to be had.

Karaoke was a banger. There is one pool tables and they have pull tabs! The drinks were strong and the staff was very kind. I personally didn't eat but folks in my party tore up some of the wings!

Google
Best Fried Chicken in Town! can't say enough good things about Marco Polo Bar! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is top-notch, and the fried chicken is absolutely out of this world. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside it's honestly some of the best I've ever had. You can tell they put real care into their cooking. Whether you're just stopping in for a quick bite or planning a night out, Marco Polo delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Marco Polo is a long time place to go to for grabbing a beer and catching up or watching a game! Tons of TVs, pool, and enough seating to be perfect for most games! Surprisingly, the wine is pretty solid too! The service is fast and everyone is nice! If you come here, you have to get their fried chicken. It's some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Especially at a place you can also order a beer! My buddy always gets the chili and really likes it as well!

Yelp
OK you can say it's just chicken right, how different can it be? All I can say is go and try it, "broasted" chicken is really, really good, and jojo potatoes are a lost art. On top of a really delicious dinner our server Brad took the time to completely explain the cooking technique, the history of the bar, and to introduce us to the owner Matt. It might be a 30 minute drive, but the next time I'm ready for chicken, specifically broasted chicken, I'm heading to Marco Polo. Oh yeah, and Go Cougs (sorry Brad)!!

Yelp
As you're driving on 4th Ave in Georgetown (south of Seattle), you never know what you might see... and sometimes that is half the fun. The other half is finding some fun places to get a good meal. Marco Polo is a great little bar with really good fried chicken. The chicken is "broasted" fried in a pressure cooker. The chicken is flavorful and moist!

Yelp
People who go here feel entitled. And the workers this day felt that they were in the right. I love Marco Polo but they need to figure their shit out. We are all human and we need to feel equal. And tonight wasn't it

Yelp
My friends and I decided to check out Marco Polo after hearing rave reviews about the chicken here. Since they stay open pretty late and the chicken was known to be good, we decided to come here for a late dinner and chatting. There's some parking in front of the bar, but also side street parking. Walking in, it's a pretty nice bar with plenty of seating and tvs for sports watching. We came on a Tuesday night and it was apparently trivia night. A lot of people who are at the bar were there for the trivia. Seemed like a pretty fun event! We had about 8 people in our group and so the staff joined a few tables together so the we could all sit together. The service was great! They were attentive and helpful! Food wise, the chicken was what it was hyped to be. Although pricey, the broasted chicken - three pieces of chicken, consisting of a drum, wing, and breast was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The broasted chicken came with a side of your choice of jo-jo's, fries, coleslaw, mac salad, or potato salad. The jalapeño poppers were pretty good too! If I'm in the area, I'd come back for more chicken and beer.

Yelp
Came here yesterday. My BF ordered wings and I the Broasted Chicken. The wings were good your typical wings. The Broasted Chicken.. Get it. Do it.. You won't be disappointed. I got the JoJos and they were good. , I will try their potato salad or mac salad next time. Thats all I have to say. 5 Stars for the Broasted Chicken.

Yelp
Came for the broasted chicken bc of all the reviews. It was okay. Salty, crispy skin with moist, tender meat BUT the meat was actually bland. Would come back but wouldn't seek it out like I did this time. Cheeseburger was good and husband really enjoyed the onion rings.

Yelp
After an event in the area a group of us went to Marco Polo on a friend's recommendation. There is plenty of street parking in the area. This place feels like a dive bar with the bar stools and the pool table but is also one step up from one with the fireplace. I ordered their famous broasted chicken 3 piece basket ($14.50). The pieces of chicken were huge and so juicy and I really liked the flavor of the crispy skin. I preferred the dark meat over the white as they just fell off the bone easily. I got fries as my side and they were just okay. They were warm but not hot and weren't worth finishing. They also have happy hour daily from 4pm-7pm which includes $1 off drafts, wells, and wine. This looks like a cool neighborhood bar that's also great and rowdy during Seahawks games. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often!
google avatar

Kate K.

Yelp
The food at the Marco Polo is amazing! They have great rotating soup options, their burger with Cougar Gold is incredible, French Dip is my favorite! Can go without ordering the fried chicken with jojos. We even get it either for the table to share or an order to take home for later. The service staff is so friendly- Grace, Brad, Natalia, All of them! They remember us every time. Brad's drinks! The atmosphere is casual neighborhood bar- we bring our dog on the patio every now and then. Go for football viewing parties (Go Cougs!) and it's 21+ only.

Osceola C.

Yelp
That 3 piece broasted chicken is the best...please go and get you some asap. I shared with my mom so we had a six piece breast, wings and legs. I finished mine off today by reheating in the air fire and it was just as good as it was when I got it. Hight recommend

Yelp
One of our go to joints in the area. I'm not enthusiastic about the Coug fandom, but what are you gonna do.
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
I stopped in here on Friday night yearning for some great fried chicken and a beer! This place delivers. I had the 3 piece chicken with a choice of sides (coleslaw for me) and a nice cold Manny's Pale Ale. I sat at the round fire pit table inside as it was a cold night outside. I really enjoyed my dinner. The chicken was piping hot and reasonable sized pieces. The cool coleslaw countered the hot chicken (along with several swigs of the ale!). This is a great place to try when in the SoDo/Georgetown area on 4th Ave. They've been around a lot of years and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Good food, cold beer, what more do you need? Thanks Marco Polo for being open all these years. Keep on going!

Yelp
Stopped here before a concert as I've heard about the fried chicken, but never in the area. Has the feel of a local sports bar, but it's a Coug bar! Hard to find in the Seattle area! Loved all of the WSU decor, they had a great selection of craft beer. I ordered the Broasted chicken which seems to be the same as fried chicken. It tastes like my dad's recipe. Which no one could ever cook chicken to perfection like he does. The skin was flavorful and crispy and the meat(light and dark) was perfect. I can see why they are known for it. My wife ordered the club which was good, but plain. We also had fries and jo-Jo's. The Jo-Jo's were huge, good, but we couldn't finish them. The team of servers were very pleasant and attentive. There is a reason that this place has been around for so long. If you are seeking delicious fried chicken and and are in the Georgetown area, this is it! GO COUGS!

Yelp
shame on me for not realizing this gem of a sports bar and grill on the strip of 4th ave south between costco and michigan. how many hundreds (thousands?) of times have i driven by and not had a reason to stop?! tonight a friend texted to say she had to go pick up bottles of wine there and wanted to know if i'd go along. game day decision turned out to be a winner. first off, cute little outdoor patio! great beer decor and umbrellas and plenty of space. be forewarned that there were ashtrays so people were smoking outside which is their right but we went back inside and carved ourselves out an area in the corner. indoors there's plenty of room to spread out among the high tables, low tables, tv showing news or sports events and typical neon pub signs. it's clean, the service was excellent, the bartenders were all super friendly and the place had a good vibe! there were a healthy number of people inside, drinking and/or eating. we just had pints and a side of onion rings which were exactly as you would expect for a sports bar. end result: no complaints at all! i'd imagine there's a lot of local employees who stop by here after clocking out but this place could (and should) draw from a wider radius as it's got a lot to offer. give it a try! marcoooooo? polo!

Michele P.

Yelp
No matter how many times we order chicken, it is always absolutely delicious. Yum!!! Recently we searched for the best chicken wings in Seattle and Marco Polo was not even mentioned on the list. What? How can that be? Most of the time the service is great. A few bumps here and there. I would rather eat at Marco Polo than most other establishments.
google avatar

Trinh M.

Yelp
Went here for a food with co workers. Did not have any drinks but I'd imagine they'd be good. Had dive bar vibes - food is okay, has multiple Tvs with sports playing, and a pool table. Street parking was easy to find

Yelp
Have always heard great things about Marco Polo's broasted chicken. We found ourselves in the Georgetown area and decided to grab lunch. My friend was treating me for my birthday that was just this past weekend. Large outdoor seating area with heating lamps, nice sturdy looking tent. We both had the three piece chicken. One of us got it with Jo jos and the other we got with onion rings for an additional to upgrade $2.50. We then split or jo jos and rings so we could have the best of both worlds. The three pieces you receive are a breast, drumstick and a large wing. Couldn't finish everything brought the breast and a few jo jos and onion rings home. Chicken is well seasoned great flavor and was moist. Chicken come out piping hot. Skin isn't your really crunchy kind but that's not what I expected it was still crispy and and not greasy. Not sure what took me so long to visit this establishment that was founded in 1950 but sure glad we did.

Yelp
After a couple of months being fried-chickenless, my wife was in desperate need of a hit. On a whim, I found Marco Polo and saw that most everyone enjoyed their fried chicken. Now, my wife is a fried chicken connoisseur. It's one of her favorite foods and would eat it everyday if not for the overall poor health effects it has on the body, so this place would need to blow her mind for her to consider it worthy of suggesting to others. Not only was the fried chicken everything she wanted in her life, we left Marco Pollo knowing this would become a place we frequent often before we leave Seattle. Prior to writing a review, I wanted us to try it a second time. The first experience was amazing, but we'd gone after a couple of drinks. Today, stone-cold sober, we came back to Marco Polo and for one of the first times in our adult lives our drunk selves were 100% correct. The service here stands out. There is no waiting around at the bar attempting to catch someone's attention to order. We had the pleasure of having two different teams of bartenders during both visits, and everyone we interacted with are spectacular. In fact, they do not provide outdoor table service, understandably so as it is a bar, but the bartenders today still went out of their way to serve us outside because it was a slow period. Please note that this is above and beyond service and should not be expected as the norm; when they're busy, I can see how it would be difficult to handle outdoor table service, because, again, it's a bar. During our first visit, our bartender was just ridiculously friendly. We're from Texas and unfamiliar with the very easy way to donate money to a bar that is described as pull-tab gambling. Our bartender took the time to explain everything about it to us, but didn't pressure us into doing it. He also spent time just chatting us up in general. Both of our experiences at Marco Pollo have just been amazing. The space itself is vast featuring plenty of seating and TVs inside and a great patio outside with comfortable seating. Also, they're dog-friendly which is always a plus for me. Now the whole point as to why I wanted to write this review. My apologies y'all, I enjoy rambling. Anyways, the fried chicken is absolutely delicious. I hope the people making the food are making bank because on both occasions we have been blown away. The first time, we didn't even need sauce to eat it - it tasted that good. I saw some mention it's too salty while also lacking flavor, which that itself is an odd take as salt provides flavor, but I have to tell y'all, this fried chicken tastes amazing and has plenty of flavor. We also had the mini-corn dogs and I had the sweet bacon sandwich today, I think that's what it was called, and it just was all amazing. If you're in the market for a fried chicken hit, look no further; Marco Pollo is your destination for your chicken needs.

Yelp
Heard about this place from a co-worker. He told me to call the order in because it would take a while, so I did and he was right. I called it in and they said 20 min. Got there and it took another 25 min. Didn't like that. I ordered the 3 piece chicken with the mojos. The chicken is pressured cooked and fried. It was delicious, the mojos needed a bit more crunchiness for me but they were good. The establishment is actually a bar and they had a live band the day I went so it was kinda loud. I recommend take out instead of dining in but I did go on a Friday. Give it a try you won't regret it.

Russ S.

Yelp
I love this place ! The service is friendly and quick. The chicken is excellent! I have the "Broasted Chicken Basket" - reliably great The weekly specials are always something to check out also. I really enjoy being able to play a couple tunes from the online jukebox while being able to check out what's happening in the sport world on their many tvs!

Yelp
Its my better part's special day, so we are headed out to get some great food! He says he'd like some Good Texas BBQ for dinner and good fried chicken for lunch. So I am thinking.... hmmn...good fried chicken.. Bingo! hands down Marco Polo is THE place for Fried Chicken in the Seattle area. We went there once before based on my reading of YELP reviews and were not disappointed. So heading into Seattle for only the very best for my guy. I called in an order for fried chicken 6 pieces to be exact with a side of there delicious potato salad. Get there and I am I waiting for our order to go... the restaurant is very busy and servers are

Yelp
Food is good. Staff is friendly. Ambience is okay. There's a pretty diverse crowd when I'm there. Pickles could be crisper and poppers could be spicier. Other than that the chicken wings are great and fries was cheesy and delicious.
google avatar

Chef T.

Yelp
Tried the chili cheese fries and fried chicken. Fried chicken was fresh and tasty, nice crispy skin. The chili had a bit more beans than I would have liked but loved the raw onions.
google avatar

Tim G.

Yelp
If I knew I had a last meal in my future, it would be fried chicken. I've had fried chicken around the world, and pretty much all of it in the Seattle area. The best fried chicken comes crispy, without a load of breading, perfectly seasoned (no weird stuff mixed in) and hot out of the fryer. Not greasy, not too spicy, but with just the right level of salt and savory flavor. I have found only a couple of places that hit all the marks for fried chicken in Puget Sound. One of them is Marco Polo, an unassuming tavern on the crummy end of 4th Avenue in Seattle but believe me, if you love fried chicken, it's worth the trek down to Sodo. A plate of fried chicken along with a side of jojos, and an ice cold draft beer is about as good as it gets. Places like this won't last forever. Enjoy it while you can.

Yelp
Amazing food menu for this type of establishment. Although I was not impressed with the outside of the building, it doesn't look that big, but the menu and food are delicious. I love Karaoke and they do it twice a week, a fun KJ and a fun crowd. It is also a sports type bar and cater to most sports, especially the Washington State cougars. Personally, I always root for the Cougs unless they're playing my Huskies and even though I showed up in Husky attire, I was not booed or ridiculed there. I say check it out, you'll love it. 4th Ave S between Spokane St and Michigan, Seattle Also, plenty of parking on 4th S or side streets as it is a business area and no businesses are close by, so free parking is always an asset to me
google avatar

Jaynne L.

Yelp
This is the second time I've been here. The first time was just an okay experience. Went here for happy hour with the team. The service was okay although it took a while for them to even acknowledge us at and we were sitting directly at the bar. We had onion rings, chicken, and gizzards. The fried chicken was good-crispy breading and moist on the inside. The onion ring were also good. The gizzards were overcooked and super chewy though. The breading was good, but it was disappointing trying to eat it. Overall, I would come back but it wouldn't be my first choice. This place was over hyped in my perspective.

Yelp
Marco Polo is the epitome of a dive bar, lots of TVs, great karaoke, lots of good seating, & reasonably priced drinks! Gold star for having deep eddy's vodka in flavors!! The real star is the fried chicken. Some of the best in the city! Pieces taste like the colonels original recipe from back in the day! Fried in a pressure cooker! It's worth the wait! If you like a jojo do those as well! Wingets & fingers are tasty as well! You can't go wrong! The service is always good. The bartenders & servers are attentive! Great people watching & fun to hang in groups!

Andrew W.

Yelp
Fried chicken. Moist. Perfect seasoning and came piping hot!! The staff is very nice and attentive.

Yelp
No smoking 25 feet from the door MEANS 25 feet from the door which takes up all of your dining area outside. You cannot allow smoking in an area where people are trying to eat because they don't want to be inside thanks to Covid. Plus indirectly asking people to now pay for meals beforehand instead of after like 99% of the bars/restaurants do around Seattle is making everyone pay for the actions of a few (unless you're lying about that and making only "suspicious" customers pay 1st)
google avatar

Soo L.

Yelp
Purely based on food, 2 stars. The bacon jalapeño poppers sounded really good and the server complimented that it was a good choice to order....it was meh. I had Jalapeño poppers elsewhere with fresh jalapeños used and they were crunchy and spicy. These poppers seemed like canned jalapeños and was mushy and not spicy at all. Was really disappointed. My friend got the wings, they were really good except very salty for me. A lot of IPA beers on tap. Ambience: Local dive bar feel with pool tables.
google avatar

Angelina L.

Yelp
The fried chicken was bomb.com. Drinks are reasonable and the karaoke is fun. A casual vibe if that's what you're looking for.
google avatar

Yelp
Need to try this chicken if you have not. Fun place to watch a game. They used to have pool tables. Outside patio is nice enough. This is a Seattle classic dive bar.
google avatar

Alan W.

Yelp
Best fried chicken you've ever had. Bar has upwards of 20 TV for the sport fanatics and atmosphere is always lively. 21 and older so don't bring the kids but you can always order to go if your family is feeling some good fried chicken.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first First time here after hearing a lot of great things about this place! After eating here it def did not disappoint! We got the wings (tossed) in the buffalo sauce which is more like a spicy bbq sauce that has a a sweet and spicy kick but super good! We also had their signature dish which is a 3 piece fried chicken with Mac salad. The chicken is pressure cooked like KFC, but comes out with a fairly better crisp the seasoning is really good this is why it's in the top 10 chicken places in Seattle! Will def be back here and try the wings with sauce on the side to try the coating bc it's super delicious. There is a bunch of TVs around so no matter where you sit you will be able to see one!

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, this place is a dive bar. It has pull-tabs, karaoke, trivia, and even ice cubes in the urinal troughs in the men's room (the latter I personally love!). That's a dive bar, through and through. The one weird aspect is that it was very brightly lit, which I don't usually expect of dive bars. The other thing I didn't expect was how tasty their fried (which they call "broasted") chicken and jo-jo's were. This is their signature dish, and easily competes with the wildly popular Ezell's chicken. The difference is that Marco's chicken is more salty than Ezell's and the breading is a bit lighter. Despite that, these two places compete for the best fried chicken in the PNW, hands down. The one thing Marco's has over Ezell's is the beer. They have a great selection of local craft brews - mostly Georgetown, which has many solid offerings. The one thing that could use some improvement is their service. When I sat at the bar, I noticed the bar top was dirty. I figured the bartender would clean it once he realized I was there, but nope. I eventually pushed the leftover chicken pieces aside with a beer coaster, and realized that was foreshadowing for the rest of the night. The chicken took awhile to arrive, but was absolutely worth it since it was piping hot and fresh as can be. I'm certainly not complaining about that, and in fact the great meal is why I'm giving them four instead of three stars. The problem is that the service was barely adequate relative to the food. The bartender slid a box of items next to me when he delivered the chicken, which I had to ask about. It turns out that the white mystery bottle was ranch dressing and the orange mystery bottle was 'fry sauce' which is ketchup, mayonnaise and spices. He was the only bartender working that night, which was unfortunate since it was pretty packed for a Wednesday night and I struggled to get his attention to ask for a drink, what the sauces were, or for my check. While not his fault, I think an additional bartender would've made a huge difference on serving customers quickly and without nearly as much delay. Overall I think I'll return at some point for the chicken and great beer selection, but will be hesitant to recommend this to my friends unless the service improves through additional staff.

Yelp
Always great! The servers and food are amazing. The broasted chicken has been my go to for years. I basically can't change it up. I've had friends get other things and they all say whatever they get is good.

Yelp
Discovered MP when I first moved to Seattle and worked in Georgetown. Like most people have said, it doesn't look like much on the outside. Once you go in it takes me back to the dive bars of the Midwest (in a good way). Matt, Liz and crew make for a great meal and cold brews every time. The Chicken and old school griddle top cheese burgers are my go to dishes. Fun people watching and lots of TV's to make this a great hangout. Word to the Huskies. This is Cougar territory, so enter at your own risk. Lol. Just kidding Matt. (I think) ;-)

Yelp
In the belly of the industrial district of Seattle sits a work mans "Larry Lunch Box" dive bar for the working men of the NW. Upon walking in to your left is the bar with complete selection of Georgetown Brewery's finest beer on tap plus another half dozen options also on tap. Complimenting the beer selection is a well stocked bar with all your favorite spirits to slow yourself down with after a long day. Pool table for your enjoyment when you walk in the door. Just watch out for fast Eddie wanting to play you a game for $100. Time for a tasty beverage & some chow. Menu has plenty of options so I settle for some buffalo strips & fries. My basket of goodies arrive and you can smell the heat off those strips. Now I'm impressed already yet my dreams come true with the fries being crinkle fried my favorite. Deep fried crispy brown and served with a side of tarter mmmmmmm my fav...... FYI the Buffalo sauce rates a def con 2.5, not blow torch heat yet some afterburner kick. Also I detected a hint of BBQ flavoring in it, a nice taste. All in all I was pleased with my bar room food and shall frequent this establishment again. And don't forget $3 Manny's Mondays after 5PM for a pint of Seattle's best brew.

Yelp
Definitely a divey kind of bar. A hole across the street from a strip club where guys hit on the wait staff like they have a chance. The drinks are ok but if you aren't drinking a lot the waitresses won't pay much attention to you. Good luck.

Yelp
Came to visit and came here for lunch to try the fried chicken. I usually only eat homemade fried chicken but this was very close to it! Delicious!

Yelp
Have been here 4 times now and has never disappointed. Their signature dish, broasted chicken, is solid and the sauce that accompanies is great. However since I got this the first time I went I came in and ordered their classic hamburger and it was exceptional. This is a Coug bar owned by a Coug so I also love that. I've only been for lunch during non-football season but just know this is a sports bar with TV's everywhere along with bar games like shuffleboard and pool too. Could have a lot of fun here on gameday.

Yelp
Great bar food, and yes the broasted chicken is fantastic! They bring in a great crowd and have an enthusiastic ambiance for Seahawk games. They have a nice variety of bar drinks and brews. The service is friendly and efficient. They have adapted to the blows of COVID in that you can order for pickup or they have a limited outdoor seating with heaters and a few TV's. Marco Polo is a SoDo staple.

Yelp
I've been here for lunch a couple of times and the food and service are always great! Loved their burger and their sweet chicken bacon sandwich!

Yelp
We got the 3 piece chicken combo with Jojos. The chicken was very flavorful. I also got a side ceaser salad to start and it didn't disappoint either. Super delicious, crunchy fried chicken.

Yelp
Great place to go get some drinks, regular bar food nothing too spectacular. But why come for the food, right? Love the atmosphere a nice little dive in bar, the staff is lovely on their good days. My go to bar after work!

Yelp
I would give them 4 stars, I kept hearing how amazing their food was. I was in the area and decided to order take out (I ordered chili and a side of fries) It smelt so good I couldn't wait to get it home and eat! The chili was really good, about half way into my bowl I had a long hair wrapped in the beans - I literally threw up. I will never go back there again. What a damn shame. So be careful, food was good. U might wanna examine it thoroughly before u eat.

Yelp
The bartender was extremely rude. If you have a fetish for being treated like shit then this is your place. The food was also disappointing. I had heard good things about their chicken, and when it arrived at my table it tasted like it was from the Safeway deli. Also another strange occurrence, but the bartender really wanted me to pay my tab instantly. What if I wanted to continue ordering food and drinks? Guess she knew how bad her establishment was and correctly predicted I wouldn't order anything else.

Yelp
This is a locals bar and a damn good one at that!!! I wanted to experience what it would be like to watch the beloved Seattle Seahawks play on national TV while enjoying good food while being surrounded by diehard Seahawks fans .......... welcome to Marco Polo's Bar & Grill, this place is amazing. So I walked in and the game had just started and this place was PACKED, I mean seriously full so I was looking forward to a fun evening. First order of business was getting something to drink, if you have ever read one of my reviews you know that means Dr. Pepper and lucky me they had Dr. Pepper!!! Next, time to order some food. Marco's is famous for its Fried Chicken of which they offer two types, your traditional Fried Chicken and Broasted Chicken. Now I personally never heard of Broasted Chicken but I spoke with several friends the next day who had so I guess I need to get out more. So what is Broasted Chicken, it is pressure Fried Chicken and come to find out, it is freaking awesome!!!! It takes a little longer to cook than traditional Fried Chicken but believe me when I say that it is worth it!!! The Broasted Chicken was brought to the table with a side of Crinkle Cut French Fries that were fabulous all by themselves but the Chicken was Cooked to Crispy Perfection!!! The breading or skin of the Chicken was Crisp and Crunchy but the meat was moist, flavorful, and delicious .......... I don't think I have ever enjoyed Fried Chicken as much as I did at Marco's and I have eaten a lot of Fried Chicken!!!!! Now the bar, maybe my first visit should have been on a random day when the Seahawks were not playing but what fun would that be. This place was electric, alive, full of fun, with a ton of loud, cheering fans and it was a blast!!!! The bar was well staffed and they did a good job of taking care of everyone but they really took care of their regulars and I am not saying that like it's a bad thing, I want to become one of these regulars!!!! Overall, this was a five star night ... fun bar, great food, Dr. Pepper, awesome staff and a pretty amazing group of patrons!! Go to Marco's, order the Broasted Chicken, have a Dr. Pepper or a beer and tip your server, trust me, you are going to love this place. Until next time my fellow Yelpers, ..... Be Local, ..... Live Local, .......... and whenever possible .......... BUY LOCAL!!!!!!
