"Step inside this new trattoria and you might think you’ve entered one of the backstreets of Milan. Think Italian classics and a well-rounded wine list, but if there’s one place to focus your attention to its the restaurant’s pasta selections starting with the Pescatore, a squid-ink-infused spaghetti dish with mussels, clams, shrimp, octopus, and pomodoro all brought together in a rich garlic sauce and given a kick with Aleppo pepper. The gnocchi, stuffed with house-made ricotta and Italian sausage, is also a standout. Mains include your classic Italian staples like eggplant parmesan, grilled branzino, but the pork saltimbocca is the real showstopper: A ravenous bone-in pork scallopini with prosciutto, white wine, sage, broccolini, spinach, and crispy fingerling potatoes." - Megha McSwain, Sean Hekmat

Went here for dinner date night tonight and it was fabulous! Food and drinks were great and our server, Javier, was sweet and attentive. Got the Pescatore pasta and Spritz flight and was very happy. Definitely recommend!

Exceptional food and outstanding service! I had an amazing experience here. The food was absolutely delicious fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and beautifully plated. I ordered the "spaghetti and meatballs" and it was cooked to perfection. What really stood out, though, was the service. Carlos Dioses, the manager, and Daniela our waitress were incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. You can tell they genuinely care about the customer experience. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Highly recommend this place I'll definitely be coming back!

We went here Sunday for Mother’s Day for the first time and it was wonderful! It was our first time here and will def be back. I only give 4 stars, well actually 4.5 ⭐️ because although our server was sweet it took awhile to get our entree order and it took awhile to come to our table and we have to wait to get our drinks refilled ( it’s not that busy even though it’s Mother’s Day) . The food is 100/10 we had Pescatore and my husband had the wild boar shank. The atmosphere was amazing the restaurant aesthetic is very elegant and cozy! We reserved a table online and as we walked in we were seated right away and accommodate our request for the table/seat we requested!!!! We will be back to try some of the food!! Everyone is friendly and amazing!!!!!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Marcoza Trattoria. We ordered both the branzino and the salmon, and both dishes were cooked to absolute perfection; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef for such incredible execution! The service was just as impressive. Our server Adriana, was truly amazing, attentive, kind, and made the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. I also want to say something special about the manager, who came by to check on our table with such professionalism and grace. It’s rare to see a team so well aligned in both quality and hospitality. Highly recommend Marcoza for anyone looking for an exceptional meal and experience!

Terrible experience. We celebrated our second wedding anniversary this past weekend by having dinner at Marcoza…that was an unfortunate mistake. We used to love this restaurant, but we noticed a change as soon as we walked in and saw the manager in a purple suit. A little weird, but whatever. The experience only got worse, however, when the food arrived, as my husband’s steak was so salty that it couldn’t be eaten. That’s the first time I’d seen my husband send anything back at a restaurant. The second steak wasn’t any better, so he decided to just skip his meal. The wait staff was so nice, we just let it go and moved on for the evening. I would suggest avoiding this restaurant as there are much better alternatives at this price range.

I went to celebrate my anniversary with my husband a week ago, and we had such a great time. Adriana, our server was fabulous. The manager was very attentive. Wonderful atmosphere. Adriana made our special dinner, even more special.

I stopped by last weekend and was attended by Adriana. She had a lovely smile and the cutest accent. I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was delicious. The manager, Carlos, stopped by my table and we briefly spoke. I told him I really enjoyed the great service and the tasty meal. I highly recommend this restaurant. Btw, my compliments to the chef.

Yelp
I was saddened when Avanti exited the restaurant scene but find myself pleased with this new contender. Our Mother's Day meal was a hit with all parties and our likes are quite varied. We started off with a charcuterie board with a nice variety of cheese, meats and fruit. I might have added a few more crackers or toast as the servings of the rest were large. No worries. Finger food! I tried the Golden Field as my cocktail. The flavor was pleasant but the taste of vodka came through loud and clear. The old fashioned had an abundance of smoke but could have used a bigger lean into the orange elements. Our waiter, Jake, was new (we were his 3rd table ever) but you couldn't tell as his knowledge of the menu was impressive as was his level of courtesy. Speaking of impressive, the short rib was exquisite, tender and coated in a marvelous rich gravy. The salmon was equally well executed and the chicken parmigiana featured two large pieces of chicken. All in all, this is a winner.

Yelp
Why 4 stars? Because the service was excellent, but the food was mostly just... fine. --- --- --- If I were purely rating the food, I would definitely just be giving 3-stars. But everyone we interacted with was incredibly nice. Business was pretty slow on a Sunday afternoon, and the staff treated us with a lot of gratitude just for coming in. Running a successful local restaurant is incredibly hard, so I hope the fine residents of the Creekside area show their support for this spot. As for the food, we ordered the Smoked Burrata as an appetizer and it was the best thing we ate. It actually came out in a glass bowl of smoke, which meant we were treated to dinner and a show. Smokey flavor makes everything better. 5 stars. Beyond that, everything just ranged from okay to decent. My wife and I split the chicken parmesan and the carbonara. The carbonara was the better of the two, but it wasn't anything special. I'd probably give 3.5 stars for the carbonara and 2.5 for the chicken parm. We got a cheese pizza for our son and I helped myself to some of it. I think it was better than our two dishes, but a bit greasy. 4 stars. For dessert, we all shared some chocolate bread pudding and tiramisu. The tiramisu had some kind of coffee liqueur flavoring which made it a bit odd. The bread pudding was very chocolatey and I'm not a huge chocolate person, so maybe don't take my word for it. But for me, both were just okay: 3-stars. I'm hoping we just caught them on a weird day because the other reviews were more positive.

Yelp
My wife and I got take out from Marcoza Trattoria on Tuesday, 04-09-2024. We ordered a margherita pizza, fettuccine Bolognese, chicken pesto penne, and some sides. Once my wife and I tried everything, we both had the same reaction: wow. The fettuccine Bolognese ranks among the best that I have ever had; it is comparable to that of the Black Sheep Bistro in Old Town Spring (which has been closed for years). It was amazing. Wow. The chicken pesto penne was also phenomenal and amount the best that I have ever had. The side of spaghetti with Pomodoro sauce was also phenomenal. It was the best that I have had in Houston since the closure of a small restaurant in The Woodlands run by a woman from Milan (and her's was the best I have ever had). In summary, I am very happy to have finally tried Marcoza Trattoria. The food was remarkable. .

Yelp
The place looks elegant inside. Their tables are a bit small however they have some nice booths that are roomy and big. We had a great server that offered a lot of recommendations and those we chose from his suggestions were really good. We also had the lemon cake dessert that was served warm and it's good. This is my second time, and we will come back again.

Yelp
The service from Sage was outstanding! Most of the inside seating for larger parties was booth vs table which was less comfortable. The appetizers of meatballs and brussel sprouts were good, as were most of the entrees. I found my osso buco to be bland but I was the only "complainer" of the 6 of us. All in all my view is there are likely better choices for the $.

Yelp
This is the best Italian meal I've had in a very long time. Reasonable prices with great decor and wonderful service. Rodolfo was an incredible server who really gave us a good experience. I can't wait to come back and try more items on their menu. We started with the Gorgonzola wedge salad- and let me just say it was such a perfectly balanced blend of salty and tangy. The cheese was not overpowering and the dressing was just the right amount. My husband ordered chicken parmigiana and I ordered the chicken Marcoza. Ok yall -Rodolfo recommended I get the chicken with a side of spaghetti with oil garlic and spinach. Wowza!!! What a perfect compliment to the lemony and tangy sauce on the perfectly crisp breaded chicken. My mouth waters just thinking about it. If I could recommend eating it- that's the way to do it. We will be back. This place blows any nice Italian place nearby out of the water! If you don't believe me try it for yourself.

Yelp
My fiancé and I did date night here last night and the service was fantastic. The waiter made some great suggestions on some of the food selections. We started with the salmon crudo which was so good and had so much flavor and then we we had the branzino and gnocchi dishes which were great. Great atmosphere, great food and great staff made this is an incredible date night mid-week.

Yelp
We had the best experience and food here tonight!! Our server Cadan was so nice and knew his stuff. Helped guide us through the menu and pair my wine. All the dishes were amazing!! The octopus carpaccio was something that is a staple to want to come every weekend for!! AMAZING!! Can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch, and everything was delicious! I sipped on a wonderful Super Tuscan wine and enjoyed the warm, rosemary kissed bread. My entree was the stunning beef short rib, which was meltingly tender! The potatoes were just crisp, and every bite, including the glossy sauce, was perfectly seasoned. For dessert, I had the warm chocolate bread pudding, which was a decadent delight, with ice cream and rich ganache drizzles. Glad I gave it a try... it's just a few short blocks from my home, so I'll be back!

Yelp
Had an excellent experience here. Ambience was amazing - lots of wood and leather and marble in just the right combination. Our server Parker was incredible. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Service is the best. The place is clean and ambiance is very elegant. The food is delicious. We miss the pizzas but everything we ordered was delicious better than the old restaurant. Everyone is so welcoming and polite.

Yelp
great service from Victor on a busy night. Kitchen still needs to work out some issues. quality very inconsistant. musscles small and dry although broth was tasty. linguini and clams were excellent. seafood pasta which is supposed to be a favorite was disappointing. Chicken Marcosa very solid. so all in all an inconsistant night from the kitchen. hopefully management will get things staightened out because Via Emilia is one of our favs and their reputation is on the line with this sister property.

Yelp
We ate at the restaurant that has changed from Avanti to Marcoza Trattotia last week end. We were do looking forward to a good meal. It was not. The wind was did though. I got the spinach and cheese ravioli with truffle sauce. The sauce was heavy , too much garlic and salt. It was horrible. A piece of cardboard maybe from cartoned spinach? Was in the ravioli The pasta was over cooked making this dish a mushy gray( Yes the sauce is gray) mess. The wait staff was good ( the server was not) and the wine great. Husband got the smoked burrata for $25 he got a piece of burrata under a glass done where the smoke had been infused. They used to serve a whiskey drink the same way. Nothing special. The server who brought out the food was impatient to put the food in the table instead of shifting plates or taking plates away to make more room for entrees . He stood by the table and said" here ". I think the most telling was when we came for a late lunch at 3 Pm on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. They need to do much better to be competitive . They are much worse than what they used to be as Avanti. Avanti we miss you already.
