"The original location of Marea in midtown Manhattan has long been a favorite over at Infatuation NYC, and now, this coastal Italian restaurant has a new outpost in Beverly Hills that’s just as fancy as the original, with a gold-lit bar and glass chandeliers. Expect a menu heavy on caviar, oysters, and pastas with lobster and king crab. We recently visited Marea Beverly Hills and added it to the Hit List." - cathy park

"A nice bottle of wine and fancy pasta never go out of style in Beverly Hills. Pop into Marea the next time you’re on Rodeo Drive for proof. The splashy Italian seafood spot comes from NYC, where it’s been feeding Midtown power brokers and Lincoln Center ticket holders for years. A similar crowd has already settled the LA locale: suits with free-wielding corporate cards and ladies in beehives bemoaning that nobody gets dressed up on airplanes anymore. Beyond the people-watching, the food is outstanding. Start with any crudo that catches your eye, the lobster and burrata appetizer, and then go all-in on pasta. Your server will insist the fusilli with octopus and bone marrow is the best dish they serve in New York, and we’re already convinced it’s the best one in LA, too." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park, garrett snyder, brant cox, sylvio martins, garrett snyder, sylvio martins, cathy park, cathy park, garrett snyder, sylvio martins, brant cox, cathy park, cathy park, brant cox, sylvio martins, sylvio martins, sylvio

“Dining at Marea in Beverly Hills was an unforgettable experience! The food is truly like no other—every dish was a masterpiece. Chef PJ’s incredible talent and extensive experience shine through in every bite. From start to finish, the flavors were exceptional, and the attention to detail was impeccable. This is hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had. Highly recommend Marea for anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary journey!”

This restaurant is a true gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. Each dish was expertly crafted, bursting with fresh flavors and creative twists. The highlight was the perfectly cooked steak, paired with a rich, flavorful sauce that was unforgettable. A must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!!

I’m truly not a person to leave reviews but I felt I needed to because I do feel this restaurant may have some sort of potential. My meal nonetheless yesterday for Valentine’s Day was COMPLETELY underwhelming. Nothing was good, wasn’t nasty or inedible but nothing was tasty. With the addidition of my meal being $900 after tip. At that price point I feel I should have left with some type of excitement of coming back to have a dish again. $900 meals or usually Michelin star quality or at the least fantastic enough to make you feel satisfied after spending that kind of money on a meal. Service was AMAZING on the other hand my waitress was fantastic her name was Mary. But that was the highlight of the night her service food is terrible and at that price I was hoping that I’d leave out of there with some type of happiness other than my service. Sadly I didn’t.

Everything we tried on the menu was delicious and very nice presentation. The cocktails were good too. Most importantly the crowd was very nice Beverly Hills crowd. I hope it doesn’t change as it becomes more popular and commercial . Service was good too. The only thing is that it’s not very cozy feels very cold even though was packed when I went

This place is absolute perfection. The design of the restaurant is impeccable and the service and food is top notch. Hands down the best restaurant in Los Angeles - we had an unforgettable experience. Thank you a million times to our server Robert for making our night so wonderful. He’s truly the best of the best!

I rarely even order Crudo anymore. At most restaurants, it’s barely mediocre; An embarrassment of poorly sliced fish that is not the highest quality smothered with various flavors of glorified salad dressing but priced like it is exceedingly precious bit of sashimi delivered to the restaurant by courier in a jeweled box. These restaurants are mostly sad copycats off the leader of the pack, Marea in New York City. Marea is one of my all-time favorite restaurants, and I have been quite excited to see that they were opening in Beverly Hills. I jumped on reservations the second they were released for soft opening and we went last night. I am delighted and happy to report that even with soft opening jitters, the food was just as fabulous as it was in New York City. While they have some yummy looking entrées our preference is to focus on their small plates of many tastes, especially the Crudo, and other variations of small fish bites. We also love their pasta as it is creative and perfectly executed. Someday, now that they are local, perhaps I’ll try the entrées, but we did not do so last night. Highlights included pretty much everything we ordered . In some cases, we ordered multiple plates cause they were so good. If I’m going to nitpick, their desserts were too sweet, and I didn’t care for them . But other than that, so worth it, highly recommended. They lost their Michelin stars in New York due to some Covid related issues. I do hope that they get it in Beverly Hills as it would be quite deserved. $75 corkage.#the FoodieTraveler

When we heard that the famed Marea of NYC had landed in Beverly Hills, we knew exactly where we were headed to for New Years Eve dinner. What we love about the LA food scene is that it is bustling with casual eateries that reflect all sorts of global cuisines. But in my mind, it's always been limited in restaurants that can satiate the desire for something a bit more unique and memorable for special occasions, and this limitation is the most apparent in French and Italian offerings. It's true that food taste is subjective, but I'd need many fingers to count the number of times I've been disappointed by the service, wine handling, and overall atmosphere. Indeed, it's rare to find a venue within city limits that attains this trifecta. Our dinner at Marea was nothing short of miraculous in that it delivered this aspirational experience that I haven't felt in a long time. I ordered the Bruschetta, Astice, Fusilli, Marubini, Bistecca, whole Scampi, then topped it off with tiramisu. The Astice harmonized beautifully with the champagne, while the Fusilli proved its standing as the restaurant's piece de resistance as soon as the first bite. The Bistecca was one of the best steaks in recent memory, while the tiramisu was delectable, with a unique texture. It had such character for what one might think as a simple dessert. We brought the wine for the night - Bollinger R.D. 2002 - and paired well with the ordered glasses of Oddero's Barolo from the Piedmont region. The Bollinger fell a bit flat despite its great bottle condition, but we're eager to try again to capture its true essence. The Barolo was an excellent partner to the steak, and with its reasonable pricing, we're planning to buy a few bottles for ourselves at home. As for Marea... let's just say it felt like an oasis in the middle of the desert and a sublime way to end the year. We can't wait to return.

Marea just opened in Beverly Hills, and I can confidently say it is one of the most memorable dinners I have had in years. Everything about this experience was exceptional from the food to the service, and the atmosphere. We ordered a large variety of dishes, and every single item was perfection. The quality of everything, from the breadcrumbs to the house-made pasta was clearly the finest. The flavors were beautifully balanced and you could tell they used the finest ingredients. The bread was sensational, the desserts were divine, and not a single detail was overlooked. What truly stood out was the seamless service. Despite the restaurant being packed, everything operated like clockwork. The staff moved with a calm precision, ensuring that every detail was taken care of without rushing or disrupting the ambiance. Silverware was replaced at the perfect moment, waters were always refilled, and additional bread appeared just when we needed it. The music was also perfectly curated great selection and just the right volume to enhance the atmosphere without overpowering the conversation. For parking, there is valet right out front for $15 or a public lot next door. It's so exciting to have a restaurant of this caliber open in Beverly Hills. Marea is going to be incredibly popular, and for good reason. If you are looking for an unforgettable flawless dining experience, this is it.

Yelp
Went there this past Saturday night and had the most incredible experience! Marea is simple but beautiful at the same time. The bar is gorgeous. The dining room is mostly unadorned but perfect as it feels very old school LA. The restaurant was full, but did not feel overcrowded. Now for my favorite part - the amazing and delicious food we had! The menu is filled with several different options that would make anyone happy. The appetizers we got were absolutely incredible. I can still taste the amazing yellowtail/caviar crudo and the caviar bruschetta. To die for! We followed that with the ultra tasty shrimp gnochetti and the dover sole with caviar. Tons of different flavors coming together perfectly! Our drinks were also utterly perfect and super smooth. I can't wait to go back to try more things. Service was also impeccable. Our waitress was incredibly welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. She made sure that all allergies were accommodated and she constantly checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything. Highly recommend and will be back often!

Yelp
Excellent restaurant, such an elegant place and the food is at the highest level. Staple dishes that are executed to perfection. Perfect for a business dinner, date night, or a dinner with friends. Great addition to the neighborhood, really needed a restaurant here like this.

Yelp
Very seldom you enter a restaurant and get mermeraized by the Beuty and elegance of the place. The restaurant has been very well thought the brush tones and the lack of paintings or tv makes is very pleasant. Ah the food, yes the food is outstanding from the appetizers all the way to the deserts. Food is overall delicious , portions are small but overall very satisfying. Service was impecable. This is the place that invite your senses to come back . Finally Beverly Hills has a place like this. They deserve great success!

Yelp
3.5 ratings: We visited the restaurant a week after it opened, so I understand they were still working out some kinks. It was incredibly busy, and it seems like they are still figuring out how to handle such a large space. That said, the ambiance and decor are amazing--definitely a standout feature. Unfortunately, we did have some issues with the food. We had to send back two dishes because they were undercooked or cold. Our waitress was very apologetic and took excellent care of us, which we really appreciated. The other dishes were just okay--nothing to write home about. For example, the Bruschetta: the dish only comes with one small piece of bread, which feels a bit underwhelming for the $38 price tag. The photo on the website makes you think this is a large piece of bread. The burrata also overpowers the caviar, so you do not get to really enjoy it as much as you would expect. The Tiramisu was a bit of a disappointment. It is a reimagined version of the classic, but it did not resemble the traditional dessert at all. Overall, I am hopeful that with time, the restaurant will iron out these issues.

Yelp
Super excited that this restaurant is here in LA as the original is in NY. We came to the bar for quick drinks. 2 drinks were $65+. Place is beautiful. Everyone is so nice and helpful. We did not stay for dinner, but will be back!
