"Lorena Cantarovici puts all the heart and soul of her native Argentina into the hand-crafted and hand-held stuffed pastries on which she’s built an mini-empire. Though some locations are temporarily closed due to the pandemic, the Platt Park original is still churning out 15 different types at $4 a pop, including breakfast versions stuffed with scrambled eggs and potatoes, and various meats as well as staples like chicken with chimichurri and creamed spinach with parmesan as mozzarella. For a change of pace, there’s stellar tortilla española." - Rebecca Treon, Eater Staff, Ruth Tobias

Delicious!!!!!! So fresh! So good! Huge portion of empanada. A little on the pricey side but worth it. We bought a dozen for $54.40 and tiramisu for $8.99 lots of beverages options as well. Fresh coffee and alcohol drinks. Place is nice and clean. Will come back again and again! Ps. Staff is extra nice! 😊

We went with our 1 yo and 3 yo who loved the empanadas. It has a quiet calm coffee shop vibe! My kids ate the ground beef empanada. With it being down town it doesn’t have its own parking lot so you do have to find a spot and walk but it is worth it.

Have always enjoyed the empanadas at catered events as they are a great combination of healthy and filling. First time to visit the cafe and enjoyed the naturally lit space and kind service. Prices are on the high end but mostly worth it for the quality and an occasional treat.

The food was soo good! Especially their new empanada, the Napoli. The meat was deliciously seasoned. 3 of the empanadas will fill you up. And the dessert empanadas are both amazing! They let us try all of the sauces, since it was our first time, and I love the sweet chili sauce! Soo good!

The Chorizo was delicious. I dipped mine in the sour cream. I also had The Caprese and it was yummy (just a little too juicy) and the Mate tea service. The music was perfect and the atmosphere comfortable. The two ladies running the show were so kind and friendly. I will be returning to try a new empanada.

This is the cutest little counter service restaurant/cafe. The empanadas (filled pastries) are famous in the Denver area for their high quality taste and uniqueness. They have breakfast, vegetarian, sweet, and savory empanadas. They have churros, dulce de leche cookies (creamy caramel), and other dessert treats. They also serve coffee, tea, and Maté tea (traditional Argentinian tea). You can dine in at one of the many tables, or take a box to go. Food is very kid friendly too, my kids have loved their empanadas for years!

Gave Maria Empanada a try after reading all the great reviews. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. The service is warm and welcoming. The atmosphere has a great vibe and is cozy on a chilly day. The food is terrific, I especially liked the Argentina Empanada. Can’t wait to come back!

These empanadas are delectable. Right around five bucks apiece. They have at least 12 different kinds.
