Marie

"Marie possesses that charm typical of the South of France. The brasserie decor exudes luxury, but the terrace overlooking the boats and bridges is where everyone wants a table. This tranquil oasis in the heart of the city is enhanced by the Mediterranean finesse of the cuisine. The lamb fillet and cheeks with a perfectly balanced hollandaise sauce, the salt-baked sea bass, the generous beef tartare: these are down-to-earth dishes that pack a punch, and they are simply irresistible. This is what Bib Gourmand is all about!" - Michelin Inspector

We had a dinner at Brasserie Marie and it was truly unforgettable! ✨ Beautiful restaurant with big windows and a canal view. Our waiter Clay was professional, attentive, friendly, and genuine, big shoutout to him! 👏🏼👏🏼 The food is really really good, highlight to the whole fish, perfectly cleaned and seasoned. Everything was perfect !!!

We had lunch here today. Recommended by a friend to go and check it out. Wonderful place! We had a nice view of the ‘Munt’ and the staff was so friendly and kind. We felt like royalty. Food was amazing, but I would recommend you have multiple dishes because the serving size is quite small. My wife LOVED the ‘millefeuille’ cake as a dessert, so I suggest you order it and you won’t regret it. Certainly not cheap (we spent about €200) but well worth it and we will definitely come back again for dinner!

I had the pleasure of having lunch at Marie and it was an outstanding experience. My table was perfectly positioned with a lovely view of the canal, which made the sunny Sunday afternoon even more enjoyable. The ambiance was warm and elegant, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic French flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The service was equally impressive: attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Highly recommended!

One of the best meals of my life and definitely the best dinner we had in Amsterdam! Clayron was a wonderful waiter, ensuring we had everything we needed and just by being a wonderful host to us. We would go back just to see him again. The entire staff seemed to be having a lot of fun working together and that created a lovely environment in the restaurant. We got the bread and brown butter to start, the Agneu and the Vol-au-vent for our entrees, and then shared the Cherry Cerise for desert. We also got a lemon drop martini and amaretto sour from the bar. Everything was top tier. Classic French food with a Dutch twist. We will for sure recommend Brasserie Marie to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Entrance is a bit confusing. Not from the canal. Go through the hotel. Walk through a really classy hall to arrive at the Restaurant. Staffs are very attentive, professional and friendly. We were recommended the Mussels and it was absolutely delicious, unlike most restaurants’ mussels. Highly recommended. The restaurant overlooking the busy canal/streets and you can having a nice quiet dinner in the heart of Amsterdam with good atmosphere. Definitely pay here a visit if you seek for fine dining in Amsterdam

decided to come here because it was on the Michelin guide. We ordered the trout starter, which was good, the mushrooms, and we share the lamb. The first dish was the best. The wine was good atmosphere was nice as you were right on the canal watching the boat go by.

If I had known the setting was as fabulous as it was I would have expected poor food but both were fantastic. The mullet, in particular, was great; I just wish they offered bread so I could have soaked up the excellent sauces on both the asparagus starter and mullet main course. The staff was professional yet remarkably friendly. I would definitely return.

Food made in heaven, as proper Frenchs do. The service is very attentive, one particular lady a bit pretentious but I guess it’s to be expected, haha. Most of the waiters were kind! The room is VERY loud, we even thought about leaving because having a conversation was challenging… we were glad we didn’t leave since the food was just stunning!!! Amazing!!! So flavored!!! Delicious. Also pretty expensive but 100% worth it. Treat yourself here!
