Incredible dining experience at Marie B. The food was experimental and packed a punch, leaving us guessing what flavors of the season were used in each dish. The carte blanche menu was also a great additional to what would have been a standalone excellent meal. Compared to many 1* places I’ve been to, this place might be more deserving. Service was impeccable and the design of the restaurant was a good divergence from classical fine dining. As far as tasting menus go, also on the affordable end for a meal that left us the perfect level of full.

After spending an afternoon tasting our way through 7 or 8 wines, we decided to reserve for dinner the next evening. We went for the five-course menu with wine pairing and it was absolutely excellent. The service was outstanding, very professional, but at the same time relaxed and personal. Our preferences were no issue at all. Not liking seafood or mushrooms was easily accommodated and they even adapted the wine pairing since we had already tasted almost everything. Adam took exceptional care of us throughout the evening, explained the concept and history of the restaurant in a great way and was incredibly attentive. Every detail, from the food to the wines and the service was spot on.

Full disclosure the meals were for 6 vegetarians and one person does not prefer mushrooms. The restaurant was very accommodative with the reservations as we came from abroad. They knew we were vegetarian ahead of time. We liked the attempt as making vegetarian friendly meals but they fell flat as we left hungry and had too many root vegetables. It was basically a salad feast. We would have liked some sort of bread or pasta in at least one of the dishes. Our worst meal was the root vegetables with carrot sauce. It was too sweet and most of us left half the dish. We enjoyed 2/4 dishes. The chefs table was fun to watch and our server was as very funny and entertaining. We ordered five cocktails and they were average in flavor. It is fairly expensive. I asked the lady next to us how her food was and she stated amazing. I saw them serve her some Wagyu steak. This place is likely better for non vegetarians. They did make a separate one dish for one of us and that was commendable.

Carte Blanche makes Marie B even more enjoyable! The food was great and the huge wine selection makes you want to try a wide variety (which we did). Also, the sommelier was very very knowledgeable and he knew his cellar quite well. Will come back!

Wonderful experience. Top service! Amazing food, all produced with local products. Vegan and alcohol free options, which is very inclusive. I’ve never been to a restaurant like that; not knowing what you’re having elevates the dinning experience, and forced all our senses to be present and enjoy. Book in advance.

We loved the concept of Marieb – trying to guess the ingredients of each dish without knowing in advance what you’re eating adds a fun and unique twist to the dining experience. The industrial-style decor and overall vibe are super cool. The service was outstanding – the staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to answer all our questions. They went the extra mile for me when I challenged them with my kosher dietary restrictions, and they handled it perfectly. Highly recommended!
