"This Danish Italian cafe is a popular spot for locals to come in the morning to work, have lunch, or a rare-for-Rome brunch on the weekends. They serve things like pastries, omelets, and salads, natural wine, and daily sandwich and pasta specials. Grab a danish carnival bun and a spot at the long communal table and practice your Italian with somebody who lives in the neighborhood." - Gillian McGuire

Amazingly tasty food beautifully served. Definitely not your typical Indian restaurant. All the flavors you expect but served in such a refined way that it makes it much more special. It was hard to decide between all the appetizers so we didn’t - got 5 of them and they were all fantastic. Shared the lamb chops for dinner and they were beyond tender. Fantastic spot!

Google
The location has plenty of street parking and a small municipal lot nearby. The restaurant itself is cozy, warmly lit, and decorated well. The host and wait staff were friendly and attentive. The menu had the usual dishes. We ordered the food and had a couple of bottles of Indian beer. The food was brought over shortly and the dishes were delicious and well presented. We had to skip on desserts as we ordered a bit much. This place is highly recommended.

We visited Marigold after hearing great things, including that it’s run by chefs with Michelin backgrounds. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and has a welcoming atmosphere. It was busy during our visit, with a big group celebration and lots of families, which gave it a lively and warm vibe. We ordered the beet arancini, lamb chops, lamb biryani, seafood curry, garlic naan, paratha, and mango lassi. The lamb dishes were the best part of the meal—both the biryani and the chops were well-seasoned, tender, and flavorful. The small side of mango and potatoes with the lamb chops was a nice touch. However, not everything met expectations. The beet arancini looked good but was too salty. The seafood curry was also disappointing—it didn’t have much depth or aroma. The naan and paratha were just okay and didn’t have the texture or flavor we’ve had at other Indian restaurants. Service was friendly, and the space is thoughtfully set up with comfortable seating and a bit of Indian décor that adds to the charm. Overall, it’s a solid spot for Indian food in the area, especially for meat dishes, but not everything on the menu stands out. Highlights: Lamb biryani and lamb chops Could improve: Bread and seafood curry

The food was fantastic. We ordered a few dishes and shared amongst us. Flavor was impressive, ambience was great and staff were super friendly. Had the malai kulfi for dessert and it was very flavorful.. we were pretty starved so don’t have many pictures..

Google
This is an excellent Indian restaurant with two distinct menus - one a fusion menu and other traditional Indian menu,. Both are worth a try but I would not mix them up, try two visits,. I tried 5 dishes including one dessert. All the dishes were outstanding and I asked them to make them spicy which seems to be the right amount of spice. When I visited the place was empty so the service was perfect. The food in the restaurant was far superior in the restaurant than take out. Eat in brings out the best at this place. It is one of the best indian restaurants in Westchester.

Google
Looking to try all the best Indian restaurants in Westchester and Marigold did not disappoint! Went as a party of 3 for lunch. Parked a little past the restaurant in the paid public parking lot. Staff were so friendly and attentive! Ordered the samosa trio as an appetizer (the jalapeño one was unexpectedly my favorite). We did a couple mains to share: portobello mushroom stuffed with paneer in a nutty curry (favorite of the meal, will order again), butter chicken (had to try it as first timers here), and the chili fish (spicy!). Everything was incredibly delicious. We also got two naans (rosemary garlic and spicy garlic—staff recommended). I usually recommend a naan order per person but honestly this was enough for the 3 of us. 10/10 will eat here again Next time we will try the mango shrimp appetizer, the lamb vindaloo, chettinad chicken curry, Rogan Josh, and the kulcha (stuffed breads). About $50 per person (including cocktails)

Google
Excellent food and service / really enjoyed ourselves. My wife ate Indian food for the first time and loved it … telling our friends and families.

Google
It was a beautiful experience and ambiance. Kusuk and Ashu were great at attending to our needs. I'm not big on coconut sauce so I probably should have ordered something else, nonetheless it was enjoyable.

Yelp
Wonderful aesthetics and the nice indian music gives a lovely ambiance to dine indoors. the service was very sweet the staff looks out and is very kind. i liked it a lot. the food is totally awesome perfectly spiced and seasoned to perfection. i got chicken biryani, lamb vindaloo, and naan rosemary garlic. it was absolutely delightful and im looking forward to going again. finished off with dessert mango pannacotta was so good i wish there was more it finished too fast 10/10 A++ best indian restaurant in the whole town!

David K.

Yelp
Really wonderful Indian fare with a modern flare. I very much enjoyed this first taste of Marigold. We're Indian cuisine fans and have experienced many in Westchester. Delicious lamb, chicken and plenty of vegetarian offerings for our diverse crowd at the table. Attentive and friendly service to boot. Prices were right where they should be. We'll be back.

Dana C.

Yelp
The samosa and rice were good. The aloo gobhi was extremely mediocre. All arrived cold. Perhaps the food suffered from being delivered. I will not know because I will not order again nor eat at this restaurant.

Olga H.

Yelp
Indian with an Italian flair is how I would describe this place. Lots of traditional items on the menu and some appetizers that have an Italian twist. Beautifully decorated and laid out inside with attentive wait staff. Food was great too. Tried the chaat, eggplant and skewered chicken appetizers. Of the entrees, the butter chicken and goat biryani. All was great. Would come again.

Novella N.

Yelp
So happy to see an Indian restaurant open in Eastchester! The food is exceptionally good and the staff were very accommodating. Make sure you save room for dessert!

Alan G.

Yelp
After all of the 5-star reviews, we may have expected too much. If "gourmet" means adding twice as much salt to every dish, they more than met that mark. The appetizers (samosas) were tasteless. The waiter was overpowering: arrogant, intrusive and not funny.

Michelle K.

Yelp
I was visiting the area from Philadelphia and decided to eat lunch here. It was the BEST Indian food I've ever had! The butter chicken was flavorful and the chicken was tender. The saag paneer was fresh and vibrant. I wish they had a marigold in Philly. I will be back again!

Scott P.

Yelp
We love locally owned restaurants because the food and ambience reflect the owners. Marigold delivered! The food was great! I recommend the pani puri shots as an appetizer. They also said they can do different flavor combos. We are vegan, and there were many options. I had the cauliflower and my wife had the eggplant, and both were great. Finally, we tried a lentil desert (it can be a desert!) and we loved it. I highly recommend Marigold!

Jodi G.

Yelp
I had super high expectations....... So maybe this is my bad....... Food was good, very good but not life changing as I hoped. Service left much to be desired our waiter was ummmm maybe a little arrogant. Not friendly nor welcoming. They spoke in a way that felt a little condescending???? We were there on a Tuesday so it was not crowded at all. There were maybe 2 other parties seated one was a large group and seemed like maybe they knew someone or that they were themselves "someones" the chef or owner came out and chatted with them at length.... Which only made us feel less welcome.... Like I said the food was good but I'd only come back for takeout not worth dining in and feeling like an Outsider!!

Stanley S.

Yelp
Highly recommended. Cozy restaurant. BYOB (as of April 2034) We've tried several dishes and all have been excellent. The type of restaurant/chef where one is confident there are no missteps on the menu. The Chicken Biryani is hands down the best in the area. Will definitely be frequenting this establishment.

Chris G.

Yelp
This was great, the butter chicken was amazing....lunch size not enough though. Naan was good, and the place is cute.

Renu M.

Yelp
We decided on last minute Friday dinner plans and came here without making prior reservations. It's a cute spot with enough room so we had no wait time. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Drinks were great we ordered 2 rounds. Smaller portions but that's NY. Reasonably priced. Appetizers were good (we got the chicken and paneer). Dinner was butter chicken, biryani, and lamb! Flavorful!

Ant R.

Yelp
Eastchester's superior Indian restaurant. Had the lamb vindaloo lunch special today - it was MAD GOOD, not to mention reasonably priced. Owner is a good man; we chatted about the neighborhood and about the job market. The wait staff are all great people too. Decor is authentic and the space is incredibly clean.

Maura D.

Yelp
Our first time to this colorful and tasty restaurant. We were treated like we were the only customers (there were others there), we enjoyed our cocktails and the history of Indian gin, ate some excellent food and will go back!

rossi k.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Went for brunch to celebrate a special occasion with the family and they were very welcoming. Food was amazing, much milder and flavorful dishes, which I prefer. We also h had a peanut allergy and the staff was very attentive about it. They even refused us two of the dessert choices as they were cooked with peanut. Ambiance was great with all the spring flowers outside. Highly recommend them. Their tandoori tiger prawns were the bomb as well as their dum biriyani and the fried okra.. I'll be back for more

Nadia T.

Yelp
The service at Marigold is impeccable. The employees have mastered being both extremely professional and extremely personable at the same time. I always ask for their recommendations when I go and have never been disappointed. Every dish you try at Marigold is somehow better than the last. The flavor mixtures are incredible. They are also conscious of people's varying spice tolerance levels. The interior is bright and cheery, with thought put into the decoration. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!!

Yelp
I can't express the experience we had on Saturday night. One of the best if not the best food and ambience and mouthwatering food. Food was so Impeccable that me and my wife had to lick our fingers. The restaurant was in a perfect temperature and cleaning was spotless. Couldn't ask for better experience then this. We will definitely recommend too all my friends and family and will be eating in and takeout food on regular basis. And mind you chef Ravi is a fantastic cheft but his hospitality is spectacular.

Darren P.

Yelp
I read the great reviews here and since I live about 2 miles away from this restaurant I went last night (a Saturday) to check it out. The place is small and it was busy with patrons. It is decorated nicely without going overboard; wood tables on hardwood floors with colorful wall art and it's lit well - ie- you dont need your phone light to read the menu! Wife and I were seated right away by the gracious hostess even though we didnt have a reservation. I guess in general it's easier to get a table on the spot when it's just 2. The menu had traditional items but what I liked were the numerous appealing vegetarian offerings that looked interesting. We began with the garlic/rosemary Naan which was just a bit doughy and I liked it a lot. Usually it's more on the well baked side so the consistency was different in a really nice way. The Raita we also ordered was a bit too watery but was tasty- as was the green sauce that came with the Naan. Wife had the goat and unfortunately she said it was tasty but too fatty. Bummer. My Cod dish on the other hand was superb. It came in a spicy broth- not a rich/creamy viscous sauce as I had expected- which was extremely tasty and had complex flavors that were delightful. It was actually too spicy for me but the manager, who was making rounds to all of the tables immediately brought me another bowl of broth that was less intense and that suited me fine. Note that I didnt ask him to do this nor did I flag him down. He must have noticed something was amiss and proactively took care of it. Wife then felt (as we were eating the meal) that we should have a vegetable. That up-and coming manager was right there with a smile, suggested the saag paneer and with our agreement brought it to us in a matter of a minute or two. We were impressed with the expediency and with the dish itself. Overall the service was superb. There were easily 10 servers buzzing around and serving food, filling water, and checking on us. They moved the evening right along and I genuinely enjoyed the experience. I dare say this was the finest Indian meal that I have ever had - and Ive been to a good many restaurants in my day. I will go back soon and my wife will certainly try another dish. But essentially it comes down to this; the reviews you're reading? Five stars for an Indian restaurant in (of all places) Eastchester? They're real and completely well deserved. I'm a fan.

Uma K.

Yelp
This place is incredible. Service is consistently amazing as is the food. Host is charming and helpful and kind. My number one spot. Went last night for Diwali and was blown away! Marigold is the best!

Laura A.

Yelp
Amazing Experience At Marigold! This restaurant has been on my list since it opened. Finally tried it after seeing Forbes rate it as the top Indian restaurant in Tri-State area - and it did not disappoint. High quality, upscale Indian food. Loved every dish from the beet arancini, to the lamp chops with pineapple chutney, garlic naan bread, chicken curry, and mango lassi to top it off. And, service is incredibly welcoming, gracious and kind. They really want you to enjoy your experience and are proud of the food they serve. I just love this place. I'll be back for sure and highly recommend.

Yelp
The 434 White Plains Rd. location for Marigold has seen its share of various restaurants over the years- most recently Tapas & Cucina. The current owner is bringing authentic Indian cuisine to an area that has solid built in demand for quality Indian due to its demographics. According to the website, the chef boasts of a Michelin mention which is always a good start. We arrived early for our 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night and the place was full plus there were a few parties ahead of us. We also learned that they did not have a liquor license but there is a wine shop around the corner. We eventually settled in at the makeshift unmanned bar area which was a tight fit and a bit awkward for a party of 3. Nevertheless, we soldiered on. Despite the restaurant being overbooked and understaffed the food was very good. We had Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Tandoori Shrimp, rosemary and garlic Naan, and crispy Okra. The attitude of the service team was commendable and appreciative for our flexibility. I'm not too sure how much better the food is than NH 44 down the road but I will need a few more experiences to better evaluate. I can only imagine how difficult it is to open a restaurant and to have it be both successful and profitable so I commend the team for its effort. More to follow in the coming months as we will be back for visit # 2.

Yelp
"Gourmet Indian". Gracious chef and staff. A little bit far for us from Pleasantville but totally worth the drive

Sandra H.

Yelp
Friendly service, the samosas and lamb saag lunch was excellent. The restaurant is nicely decorated with beautiful Indian music.

Randy T.

Yelp
Food is good and authentic flavorful. I would recommend it. Great variety of breads and dishes for vegans vegetarians etc. great addition to Eastchetser.

Liz D.

Yelp
First time trying restaurant and had it delivered via Grubhub. Restaurant delivered very fast. Food hot and great portions. Chicken korma was the best I've ever had hands down. I'm too full to eat the rice pudding but the tiny taste I had was delicious and very coconuty. Will be back soon. New fav

Tom W.

Yelp
Small, but not crowded. Interesting menu. 4 people. Black pepper crab and somosa combination appetizers delicious. Goat curry, butter chicken, and paaner well above average. Spices used were very subtle, and sauces mopped up with the best garlic Naan we've had in a long time. Rice was fragrant and not sticky. Portions were adequate. Skipped desert. It's somewhat pricey but well worth it. Parking around the corner. Highly recommended.

Wendy P.

Yelp
We were so excited to have a Michelin-starred chef at the forefront of a new Indian restaurant in town. We've been there a few times since Marigold's soft opening and have enjoyed everything we've ordered as we work through the menu. The food is creative and delicious with the perfect level of spice to honor the cuisine, but not overpower those with less tolerance to heat. They are also happy to make any traditional favorites, as well. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful and welcoming. It's quickly becoming our new favorite and we can't wait to see how it evolves once specialty drinks and wine/beer are options, which will happen any day now. Oh - and the daily lunch specials can't be beat: $15 - 18 for a main, rice, daal and naan! It's the best deal around. We definitely recommend this new gem!

Beatriz E P.

Yelp
The food was amazing, the crab was spectacular, the naan and saag paneer were delicious and the service was even better.

Michael W.

Yelp
We finally tried Marigold and were very pleased in all aspects. Not only was the food super tasty and extremely well prepared (for example, the seafood was not overcooked and was nice and tender), staff was super friendly and attentive, and the room, while small-sh, didn't feel crowded and there the noise level was very comfortable so we could enjoy talking while we ate.

Debbi T.

Yelp
The owner, Ravi takes pride in his restaurant. He is very personable and accommodating. The restaurant decor is bright and cheery. All of the dishes we ordered were delicious especially the vindaloo and palak paneer. Vijay, one of the staff members was so pleasant and friendly. Truly a great Indian restauran!

Sydney G.

Yelp
The food is so delicious and flavorful. They have an incredible menu with options for everyone. The waiters are so friendly and offer the best suggestions when ordering. Great environment that's not too big or noisy.

Christine A.

Yelp
Excellent! Just like a NYC restaurant! I lived in Queens for 16 years and missed the Indian food...Marigold is better than our favorite Indian food in Astoria. Delicious and great service!

Mike V.

Yelp
Some of the best Indian food I've ever had. A strong mix of straight forward dishes, with some variety mixed in. The portions are nicely sized, and the quality of the food is unmatched. Really nice indoor dining as well.

Joseph Z.

Yelp
I was very impressed with the food here. Excellent suggestions from the waiter included the mango shrimp as well as the smoked eggplant appetizers. I had the curry chicken for dinner . Great flavor. Definitely want to go back. Five stars. This is definitely food that you can't make it home!!

Christina S.

Yelp
Dined here this evening after all The buzz and it was absolutely delicious! From the great ambiance and decore to the great service and food it is a must for all aficionado of Indian cuisine ! Great presentation and delicious ! Tried the mango coconut shrimp , garlic naan , chicken Biriyani, and mango panna cotta ! Will come back !

Stephen S.

Yelp
Recently visited. Phenomenal food, great service and an awesome manager. Thanks again to Ashu for his great appetizer, entree and dessert recommendations. (The buttered chicken was amazing). We will be back again soon. For those concerned about parking...no issues whatsoever. large lot around the corner. Steve and Jean.

Jr. N.

Yelp
Ordered take out this week, and was very happy with the food. We needed this restaurant in Eastchester. I will definitely go to eat at the actual restaurant.

Concerned Citizen U.

Yelp
Very warm hospitality and excellent appetizers meld into some interesting main dishes with tons of flavor!

Lois S.

Yelp
Everything about Marigold is wonderful. Food. Service and ambience. They are very attentive and spice levels are adjusted to your specific requirements. The seafood curry is incredible and there are enough options on The menu for those that don't eat meat or fish. Also, they now have a full bar. Highly recommend this restaurant,

Richard F.

Yelp
We've been traveling in India and living in NY for 50 years and this is the first restaurant we've found in the US that serves meals of a quality, authenticity and range of regional options comparable to meals we've enjoyed in India and London. Bravissimi!

P T.

Yelp
Flavorful, excellent food, creative dishes on the menu. Good service, nice music playlist and decor

JOAN I.

Yelp
My friend and I ordered the crab appetizer, the samosas, the eggplant and burrata and the coconut mango shrimp and then asked to have the saag paneer and roti brought with them. When the saag paneer and the roti did not arrive we asked the man at the front desk where they were and got, @we do not serve entrees and naan either the appetizers." They did not tell us that when we ordered it we then also added a lamb saag. They brought the lamb and saag paneer and the roti and actually the only dish that was excellent was the coconut curry shrimp. We asked for extra garlic and ginger in the two saag dishes and it came with it raw on top, not cooked with it. The much touted crab fish was made with the inexpensive shreds of claw meat and not lump crab meat and was bland. The same gentleman was also derogatory about Jewel of Himalayan that we enjoy very much and the bottom line was that the saag paneer, the samosas and the naan are far tastier at Jewel of Himalayan. This Michelin starred chef is either resting in his stars or his recipes are not being executed as they were when they earned the stars. We will not return.

Sandeep V.

Yelp
The chicken biryani hit the spot. The kids loved the parathas. The chaat was prettt spot on as well. Service and ambience are good too.

aaamelia j.

Yelp
This place exceeded our expectations. Ashu (the manager), was extremely hospitable and friendly. The food was incredible, as well as the service. If you're in the mood for authentic Indian food, and a cozy atmosphere , you should stop by!

Solz P.

Yelp
Food needs to be more authentic. The vibe is definitely great but with these improvements if will be great

Erin B.

Yelp
DELICIOUS!! Lots of unique vegetarian options. The staff were so attentive and welcoming. Will definitely be returning!

Jerry F.

Yelp
The food remains wonderful. They now have put too many tables in a small room and it's very uncomfortable. They could also use some air conditioning.

Maggie R.

Yelp
This is the best Indian food I've ever had--the staff are the absolute best and friendliest as well. Appetizers: Wonderful garlic pepper crab and smoked eggplant. Hubby has spicy seafood curry; I had tandoori shrimp. All delicious. Nice intimate space too. We will keep returning. (Chef has a Michelin for a reason!)

Michael B.

Yelp
Excellent cuisine--we couldn't have ordered a disappointing dish if we had tried! The service was great and friendly. Chef Ravi was a delight and made us feel right at home. We went on a Sunday evening with our kids, but look forward to going back on a Saturday night with friends and enjoying some of the yummy sounding cocktails.
