Great selection of drinks, but much better when you can eat/drink outside.
Beginning of January, Tampa is going through surprisingly cold weather. Maybe it's not that surprising since the rest of the country is getting hit by an arctic snowstorm, but it was in the 40s-50s when we came, which felt way too cold to sit outside.
That being said, they did have heat pits and a few brave souls were sitting outside. I didn't realize they have indoor seating. On a normal day, I would venture to say nobody would choose to sit inside, because the decor isn't that nice. It was kind of dark, with wooden tables and metal chairs. It almost felt like I was in a dive bar in a way. It was also empty on a Friday night (again, most likely people were going to places that they'd go to when it's cold) so there wasn't that much hustle and bustle.
The standouts are the drinks. I got the mad mango which has compo brava plata, mango puree, sliced jalapenos, agave, fresh lime juice, tajin spiced rim. It was delicious and I would absolutely get it again. There were more craft cocktails on the menu that caught my eye so this is a place I'd come for multiple drinks.
I also got the short rib tacos and were surprised by how quickly they came out. I thought they were good, not great. I'd probably choose something else on the menu next time.
Our server was very nice. He was the right level of attentive.
Overall I would definitely come back, just when the weather is nicer.
