"Started in 2009 as a humble food truck, this Hawaiian-Korean eatery has expanded to four brick-and-mortar locations (including Super Six, an offshoot in funky Columbia City). Get messy—and delighted—tucking into Spam sliders, kalbi short ribs, and miso-ginger chicken tacos. Vegetarians, don't despair: Marination ladles "sexy tofu" onto four-inch corn tortillas along with its usual slaw; tangy, creamy Nunya sauce (a secret recipe); homemade pickled jalapeños; and a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds. There's also thespicy kimchi fried rice bowl, topped with furikake , green onions, and a sunny-side-up egg. Wash it all down with a Hawaiian Sun tropical juice or shockingly cheap draft beer."

Marination Station Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There are a lot of food options on Capitol Hill, but if you need a fast, satisfying meal, Marination Station is a good place to keep in mind. It’s the sister spot to Marination Ma Kai, a waterfront restaurant that serves our favorite Hawaiian food in the form of tacos, quesadillas, and sandwiches. The Cap Hill location has the same menu, only your view is of the UPS Store instead of the Seattle skyline. Grab some kimchi fried rice and some macaroni salad to bring to Optimism Brewery." - Aimee Rizzo

Really delicious! This was our first time ever trying Hawaiian food and we highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Seattle for the first time and is looking for a quick bite to eat. We ordered the katsu sandwich which is Korean and the spicy pork sandwich which was not spicy at all. We also ordered the tater tots and those are really good as well because it is covered in different seasonings.

Our Original plan was to go to the Marination Mai Tai in Alki Beach, but we decided that cut corners & headed to the Marination Station in Capitol Hill, expecting the same options available everywhere. We were so wrong, their signature Pork Katsu was not available & we were presented with the next best option Kimchi Fried Rice. Which I happily accepted & went with the chicken option. The fried rice was spicy & decent, lacking a little, tiny bit of salt, otherwise it was good. The star however was the beautiful marinated chicken, that I loved. The Chicken to Rice ratio was almost 1:1, and full on savoured on the delicious chicken. It definitely is a must try. I Am visiting the other bigger outlets of theirs in downtown area, & try to satiate my Pork Katsu hunger soon.

This is a quick bite lunch stop that is okay to pass over. Even with photos this place was unmemorable. What sticks in my mind is how dirty the place felt even though it was not dirty. The concrete walls and floor and lack of sitting and sticky feeling is the impression that'll stick with you. I had three tacos that were meh. My husband had a cheesesteak that was dry.

A great option for food. The portions are generous and super rich in flavor. My only complaint was that there weren't Sauces to add to your food. You get what you get. Besides that, it was a nice, clean environment with recycling options and nice staff.

Server forgot to put salad on my tacos. Frustrating. This is a 5 PM early dinner order and no line. I don't see any reason for such mistake. A customer who does take out will have no recourse.

Marination station is alright. I came here with a friend and it's a pretty small spot, so potentially plan to get to-go. The tacos are a little dry and the salad and sandwich taste exactly how they look. Not bad, but I don't know if I would come here again. Bonus points for super nice staff though!

I thought it was very overpriced for the amount of food I got. The food itself wasn't too bad, a bit on the salty side.

I can't stop coming back for their spicy pork tacos! They're not very filling, so I suggest ordering at least 5. The service is fast, and the employees are very kind. Their kalbi beef sandwich is also a great choice, and more filling than the tacos. Never had a single bad experience here!
