Bff and I made a long drive to this place to try the seafood parrillada which includes no rice just like 6 tortillas. The food was good, the fry fish was one of the best! The restaurant is very small, inside a small plaza, parking can get hard to find. Prices vary from average $12 to $120. Complimentary chips and salsa.

The cooked food was good. We ordered a tostada de ceviche de camarón and the shrimp was cooked, I personally enjoy raw shrimp, so I was disappointed that in the menu, it does not say it's cooked. I also ordered a cóctel de camarón. Unfortunately, it was bland, but nothing some lime salt and pepper can't fix. Service was slow, and prices are good for the portions, in my opinion. Parking is terrible, very limited on the plaza and aslo street.

Today my sister took me to Mariscos Corona. She showed me the Instagram page they have, she had me craving that restaurant in an instant! We got the seafood platter. It came with a mix of good size portions of of some of the different dishes! I have to say everything, and i mean everything was delicious, so f#@%!☆g delicious. I never had octopus cooked so good, and so easy to chew, like it was soft to the bite. That aloned had me like wow, i recomend if you are a seafood lover check out the Instagram page they have, and my video i loaded along with this review. We found this seafood restaurant during a recent visit to LA. The food is amazing! Everything was fresh and delicious. We would like to live in LA just to visit this place more often. We were a large party, and our server got the order correct, which is appreciated. The only negative is that they don't have beer, but we will definitely be back for the seafood!

Ordered on door dash and it was absolutely delicious and fresh! Also came with there chips and salsa and was more food than expected! 😋

Found this place from an ad on IG. Place is located in a rather sus location and the parking is a bit tricky. We pulled up and almost had a second thought because the location and upon entry, the place is tiny. We were a party of 8 and there was already 2 large parties which left about 4 smaller tables, which were full. They took down my name and number and were able to accommodate us in about 35 minutes. One thing I did not like, there is no pricing anywhere. They have a list on screens and menus they put down but no prices. I looked at the prices once I went to their website and clicked on the "To-go" option. We ordered mojarras, seafood molcajete, mixed ceviche, ceviche stuffed avocado, oyster shooters, and stuffed lobster. It was all delicious. I am not big on onion so I picked out the bigger pieces from the ceviche (comes with tostadad) but the onions were not to strong. The lobster had lots of meat (a tad dry) but the toppings were buttery and cheesy. It comes with tortillas so you can make little taco bites. Comes with rice, salad, and fries. The mojarra was a bit over fried but it was really good. We got 2 and they didn't stand a chance. Also come with tortillas and rice. The molcajete comes with bacon wrapped shrimp, 2 octopus tentacles, a whole snapper, and more shrimp in a spicy salsa bottom. The octopus was soft and perfectly cooked. Comes with rice and beans. The oyster shooters were really good, although the oysters were tiny inside the shot glass. They are $5 each or you can get the half-dozen for a discount. Again, no prices anywhere. All in all, definitely coming back!

I have nothing but just an amazing time every time I come here. I love this place, the food and service are just great. The chef is very personal and the servers are always on point.

There is a small parking lot in front, which is shared with other stores. I visited and ordered the shrimp cocktail and fish ceviche, both of which were absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and friendly, making the experience even better. They have seating available, which is a nice touch for those who prefer to dine in. Despite its small size, the place has a lively and vibrant ambiance that adds to its charm. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to satisfy your seafood cravings. The combination of tasty food, excellent service, and lively atmosphere makes it a great choice for seafood lovers.

We have been clients to Mariscos Corona for the past 10 plus years. We don't quite go all the time but we try a few times a year. My rating of 4 out of 5 is solid and fair, rates and pricing have changed as well as their portions getting smaller. I recommend some renovations to cater to their pricing so it can draw more new clientele and keep us from wanted to come back more often instead of local competition. I am a fan of their Shrimp Cocktail entree, steak tacos, and definitely their molcajete. I recommend them and their service is fast and friendly.

This place hits the sweet spot in your tummy. I was craving Mexican but not just any Mexican food. I was craving good quality Mexican food. When I have a craving for high quality authentic Mexican food I know to come here. It was 15 minutes before they were closing and I was wondering if it was yo Kate to order for pickup. They said no problem and that it would be ready in 15 mins. So my husband and I hopped literally across the street to go pick it up as soon as we had orders it. We got to sit and chat for a few since we got there early and before we knew it we had our food and were walking right back across the street to eat in the comfort of our homes. The food was delicious as we already know it to be. Our favorites we ordered were the: 7 Mares dinner (7 Seafood) (YUM!!!) Shrimp Burrito dinner (My husband's favorite) Shrimp Enchiladas dinner (YUM!!!) 4 Shrimp Tacos So good every time! It doesn't hurt that the young owners are so sweet and lovable!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! I live in the SouthBay and drive out to The Valley for this sea food!!! We've been here a few times now and it is consistently delicious and gives huge portions :) :) On this trip we ordered a couple of Shrimp Cocktails & Fajitas to share. First the cocktails hand so much shrimp I couldn't count them and the juice was so good I would have drunk it if I didn't have more food coming ;) The Fajitas had Shrimp, Beef & Chicken amongst the grilled veggies including a fire roasted pepper! Also on the platter was some of the best rice & beans I've ever had. Everything here tastes homemade and the ingredients are top quality, so fresh that if you close your eyes you would think you were at the beach !!! In addition to the delicious food the service is very friendly and the food comes out quickly. The only negative is the small parking lot and limited street parking, that being said we always find a spot in the lot. If I could give Mariscos Corona 10-Stars I would!

I wanted to try this place for a long time, sad to say that the service was so incredibly slow, there was only two other tables and I had to get up three times to get water, our drinks and lime, not to mention as I was about to use some of the sauce that was set on the table I realized it was expired two months ago. The food is definitely delicious but sadly not enough to go back. The service killed it for me, all I wanted to do is leave.

Some of the most enormous dishes I've ever seen. So if you love mariscos, this is definitely the spot. Very few tables with an extensive menu. Super friendly staff. We order the oyster shooters, oysters on the half shell, Botana Paro Uno and a Fish Burrito. The shooters were tasty, lots of Tajin. I'd skip the oysters on the half shell and dive into the botana seafood for one. So fresh and clean. With lots of great hot sauce options. The fish burrito was exceptional as well. We will definitely be back.

Tried this place for the first time, found it on yelp as usual. It is a small restaurant with a few seats located in a small plaza. When I saw the menu on yelp, I headed there without second thoughts. They have good seafood selection that you can't find in a typical Mexican restaurant. They have variety of ceviche & aguachile seafood selections (oysters, shrimp, octopus). I will definitely come back round try their other options when I go to LA area.

It's really good! We enjoyed the aguaschiles, ceviche, and the carne asada mojado burrito. Very friendly servers too! Parking can be a little difficult but don't let that stop you from trying this place out!

This fulfilled my mariscos craving perfectly! I came across them on instagram and am so happy we came in. The service is impeccable. Very friendly staff and extremely attentive. Food: we ordered the oyster shots 6 count and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Absolutely fresh and zesty. I ordered a large cóctel de camarón and the shrimp were big, plump and cooked nicely. It had a very generous serving of avocado which I loved. The juice lacked a little flavor for my personal preference but it was nice and cold and again a good portion. My husband ordered the wet surf and turf burrito and it was no joke. Bursting with proteins and topped with a hefty amount of guacamole. They were out of the red salsa so he got green and I think it worked out better. He was a food coma afterwards and still talks about this burrito so I'm sure we will be back lol The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because it is way too hot in there. I understand we went on a hot summer day but the AC doesn't seem to be up to par for the valley heat in general. There was also so air flow so I was sweating as I ate which was not comfortable. They were also out of all their aguas frescas and salsa roja and it was lunch time so that was a bummer that they had so many menu shortages. Hopefully next time they'll have it all in stock!

i wish i could put 0 stars. when i originally started coming here when i ordered hard shell shrimp tacos, everything was hand fried and delicious. multiple occasions i returned back here and the taco shells looked like store bought shells. today, i ordered shrimp tacos and nachos asada and the nachos were soggy and soaked with bean juice and disgusting. the tacos were the same as i stated before. i called them for a refund and they said they would give it to me. i get there and they act baffled and filled with confusion and speaking in spanish which i do not speak and refuse to give me a refund. The customer service and ambiance of the entire establishment is vile and heinous. i like them at first but now I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING.

Agua de jamaica: phenomenal. Michelada (con agüa mineral) they do not have alcohol. We didn't care for it, but most likely b/c we are used to it with a cold chela. Appz: Taco Gobernado-GREAT Lunch: torta con carne de asada- it was ok... bread came out very soggy. Fried red snapper-ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. 10/10 recommend! Ceviche de pescado- VERY GOOD!! Super fresh! Chips and salsa were bussin. Service was great. They were friendly and attentive. Ambiance: def a laid back place. Not visually appealing, but the food is worth it! Biggest con was how hot they kept the inside. Was uncomfortably hot.

So delicious seafood so fresh I had the grilled red snapper eaten there oysters, which are amazing like you're sitting on the beach eating oysters. I had there cocktails also delicious there's nothing there that doesn't taste good. I should say. I think I went back about five times just within two weeks, I'm thinking about going back for some more. I'm craving some octopus.

I cant decide if i should give this place a 4 star or 5 star, but I'll give them the higher since it seems like a nice family business. Pros: -Best Mexican food I've had in LA so far. Carne Asada was flavorful and crispy, not grainy like other places. Shrimp was well cooked and not overly rubbery. -Good portion sizes -Cozy ambiance -Friendly and helpful service. -Easy to order either from the counter for take out, or dining in. Cons: - the price is a bit high compared to other places, but it IS that much better, so fair. - the menu has no pricing on it, which is a bit uncomfortable to order since you'll have to ask for each one or gamble on whether something is in your budget. I get nervous asking lots of questions... Verdict: I'd definitely go back again, but only if I'm prepared to spend a decent amount.

Yep. This is the JAM. If you love mariscos, stop what you are doing and head to this spot immediately. And if you don't, come here anyway -- you're about to be converted. I've been here twice now and both times been blown away. It is super casual, very hole-in-the-wall vibes...tucked in a small strip mall, with just a handful of tables, you order at the counter and await the most delicious meal you'll have in a long time. We ordered the parrillada for 2 and added langostino, then we were convinced to order the parrillada for 4 instead since it came with langostino. It was an easy sell, and we had no shame ordering this much food. Turns out, it was a great decision. What arrived to our table turned heads -- and we were able to eat about 95% of it. Like I said, no shame. It's in a small parking lot and we were able to find a spot without a problem. Staff are super friendly, chips and salsa are delish. Only suggestion is that they start selling beer -- would pair so nicely with the yummy mariscos. Overall, this place is incredible...highly recommend!!!

I ordered ceviche tostadas for take-out. They took a very long time to have them ready even though they said maximum 10 minutes when I called. The food did not disappoint though. It was great. Will be back for sure.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE AGUACHILES?? Holy cow I've been to some Mariscos restaurants in the past, but Mariscos Corona goes above and beyond! Mariscos Corona is a bright, casual eatery that's a total local's joint. Tucked in the corner of a very small strip mall, you're lucky if you get one of the 8 or so spots, but I always get one every time I go. Me and Mariscos Corona are meant to be. I've tried the diabla fries (woah- I will elaborate on these), aguachiles, seafood tower, grilled shrimp, and surf and turf burrito. All of them were *chef's kiss* not to mention the chef, Joel and his sister Vanessa who run the joint are the most wonderful, genuine people you'll ever meet. They are truly passionate about providing good service and only the best ingredients to your plate. Aguachiles- Tangy, spicy, refreshing. I was in heaven. All of my tastebuds were dancing in delight of the variety of flavors. Grilled Shrimp- Delicious. Love the char, shrimp was tender, and beautifully plated. Surf and turf burrito- This one is a big boy! HUGE portion packed with delicious carne and shrimp. This burrito is in a class all of its own. Seafood tower- Be still my beating heart. Beautiful array of octopus, shrimp, and fish piled high topped with avocado. I ordered this for myself. I did not share. I could have, but no. It was TOO good! Diabla fries- Okay, so you need to bring all your friends in to share a plate of these bad boys. Creamy, spicy, sweet sauces drizzled over HUGE shrimp and crispy french fries. It's so wrong, it's right. Definitely worth trying. All in all, if you haven't been to Mariscos Corona, you are truly missing out. It's a no frills joint, but you feel the love in their food. The seafood is truly some of the freshest and best quality I have had in a long while. Note: Prices are not on the menu because market prices for fish change often. I would ask for the price of whatever item you want if you so wish to inquire. It's worth the expense either way!

Literally the BEST Aguachiles! This is a gem for everything seafood. Highly reccomend trying their shrimp/ seafood/ aguachiles.. definitely one of the best I've had around here.

The place is just amazing when you want Carne asada fries. They have the right proportion. You get a good amount of sour cream, Pico de Gallo, cheese, guacamole, Carne asada, and fries. This is my replacement after albertos. This is a great find in van nuys.

Shrimp and mix ceviche is delicious! Highly recommend. I only tried their ceviche. Small place couldn't really sit down and eat.

Updating my review as I've been a customer for a long time and Mariscos Corona never disappoints! Food is always tasty and fresh and the chef takes time to plate the food in beautifully creative ways. The main chef has personally trained his son (who is now a chef there) so you know the food is true, authentic, and full of flavor. By far the best spot in the valley! 12/10 experience every time!

Absolutely loved the food. We got the cóctel de camarón (not pictured) and the shrimp tostadas. It was so refreshing and the perfect dish on a hot day. My lovely coworker of mine suggested to get lunch here. We gave her our order and she went to pick up. I went on their Instagram and I was having a hard time choosing what to get. My mouth was watering and everything looked so damn good. I ended up going for the surf and turf burrito with a large pineapple drink. I ask her to get salsa verde and she warned me it was spicy. I was like alright bet. I had never had a surf and turf burrito. Let's just say if my shirt is stained you know I was grubbing. Hands down best burrito I had in a very long time. It was all falling apart. That's how packed the burrito was. The carne asada and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The guacamole was fresh. I'm not a fan of pinto but everything all together was bomb. AND there were fries inside to my surprise. The agua de piña was nice and refreshing. I was expecting it to be sweet but it wasn't. I also really never go for any other agua fresca but horchata and Jamaica. I'm glad I went with the piña. Next time I'm going for the cocktail de camarón and the Diablo fries. 10/10 I would recommend this place if you're ever around the Van Nuys area. And 10/10 the other girls in the office def recommend.

Delicious and fresh seafood in the valley with so many options on the menu. The food was fresh and had very large portions. The service was quick and the ambiance very cozy. Definitely will go back and refer friends and family as well.

Found this spot through TikTok. Walking in I was kinda confused on how to order. Eventually found out it's more of a sit down restaurant and they come take your order at the table. If you don't speak/ read Spanish I would suggest looking on their Instagram to see what you might like to order. We were indecisive so we ordered the ceviche 4 way. It's a good choice if you want to try a bunch of different ones. I would suggest tho order this if you have a bigger party. It was too much food for me and my GF. Food was delicious! They give you free chips with salsa. However my only issue was they don't put the price on their menus. The ceviche 4 way came out to $55 dollars. If I had known b4 hand I might have went with a different option.

Food is great but I think they should put prices on their menu. And also they should have at least fans on hot days I went to eat there on 09/08/24 the place was super hot with a wall AC not really working. But other than that I love the food.

I really enjoy their food but the older lady, perhaps one of the owners, always has a sour face and isn't friendly at all. I always leave there feeling like I've upset her. lol.

This little restaurant is located at an unassuming corner on Sherman Ave, Van Nuys but punches a big flavor. It is a simple restaurant, one of the special hole in the wall places that you want it to be your secret place. One day we went there for shrimp cocktail pick up and next day for a sit down dinner. Service is good. A little hectic. Everything on the menu is good. Requires repeated visits.

This place is the kind of place to share things if you are in a group and there's so much food to share. The portions are huge! I came with my mom and we could not finish everything. Here's what we got: - Fajitas Suprema: Yummy. It came served on a board with steak, chicken, and shrimp along with rice and beans. It was great for sharing. I always love the veggies in fajitas with all the different proteins in a flour tortilla. Yes, I chose flour. Don't judge. LOL - Salmon y Camerones: The fish was so juicy and flavorful. The sauce on top was good. Kinda reminded of spicy mayo. It had a good kick. Not too spicy. The shrimp was so plump and juicy. I would definitely order this again. I appreciate the complimentary chips and salsa while we waited for our food. The staff was busy but attentive. They were so busy that they did forget a couple things we asked for but noticed without us having to ask. LOL The parking lot is tiny. It's not the most ideal situation, but maybe it just always busy on a Sunday. If you are lucky you might be able to find street parking, but seems like there were always cars leaving. I would definitely come back because there is so much on their menu to try. If you love seafood, then this is the place to go to. I can't wait to come back.

This place came up on my Instagram and saw the ceviche post, had to make it out here on my so cal trip Ordered: $18 Half dozen oysters - Fresh and delicious $25 Avocado stuffed ceviche - huge! And so good, I liked that the ceviche was more in the chunky side and the shrimp was plump and meaty (enough to feed 2-3 people) For additional $1.50 you can add the Aguachile sauce, like a jalapeño juice sauce. I asked for it in the side in case it was too spicy. $14 2 taco combo plate - tacos were ok, had better shrimp and fish tacos other places. Service was great! Vanessa was our server, super patient and assisted with everything we needed. They have a map from where everyone comes out to visit, so had to put the east bay on there! Recommendation: the menu had no prices, so double check with waiter for prices. If you love ceviche, check this spot out!

I was really looking forward to this place. We ordered 2 camarones a la diabla. They were extremely salty. My sister still tried to eat then with some rice. Wasn't able to eat then all but she tried. I let our server know because i couldn't even after tired. She then came back and told me they can change the sauce but with the same shrimp. (Where they going to just wash the shrimp and reuse) I told her it was ok. I didn't want the shrimp. Just made me wonder if they recycle left overs. I didn't ask to have them removed from the bill because it wasn't about the money. They should have done that themselves or offer something else or to remake without reusing the shrimp. We were 4 adults and 3 kids so we ordered plenty so they can be cheaper about $5 that the shrimp would have probably cost them to purchase. When I left I wonder if they are going to use for the next costumers.

The parrillada is decent. The oyster shots, if your the type not to chew the the oysters then you won't notice- but if your like me I chewed and they were all spoiled. I made the waitess aware, she reposted with "I will let them know" I kindly asked to aa the very least be charged half the price. They brought us the bill, surprisingly we were being charged full price. I once again brought up the oysters being spoiled. It took talking to three waitresses. I do not recommend. Bad oysters will make you sick. So I'll get back in here in 13 to 72hrs hopefully not sick.

Delicious food , is a very small place but the food tastes great, we tried different items from the menu and they all tasted great, the staff is very friendly and attentive, definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good marisco place, even their Carme asada is so flavorful. Definitely will be coming back. Worth the Drive!!! They have options for kids as well.

Food and service was great! The vuelve a la vida cóctel was delicious! Only downside, is no beer, but the food was well worth the visit! Can't wait to try other dishes!

This place is awesome!!! It's been super hot in LA so I've been craving ceviche and this place satisfied my palette. I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was topped with freshly sliced avocado. It was delicious. I think I may have gotten myself into trouble finding this spot lol. I'm already planning on going back tomorrow. Tip: Parking is a pain but it's worth it! I had to park across the street and walk for about 5 mins. There's a very small lot in front of the restaurant but it's always packed. Be prepared to drive up and down the street until a spot opens up. I can't wait to visit again and again... and again. So good!

Amazing 5 star food from a little strip mall joint in the valley! Don't bother going to the nouvelle version this food will win every time! My fav is the pulpo!

My bff dragged me here based on a tik tok she saw, and boy did this place deliver. The food is amazing to say the very least. A lot of this quick game spots tend to not live up to the hype but this spot has come through since our first visit. The diabla fries are a MUST, I asked for the black sauce & thousand islands sauce on the side because I wasn't too sure if the combination. But the cheesy hot simmering sauce the fries are drenched with is delicious. The aguachiles are also a MUST, you have the choice spicy or medium but honestly the medium weren't that hot so on another visit I asked for spicy and they were just perfect. (Definitely preference). Warning the parking situation sucks, and I've only visited during the week/lunch hours. Service was fast and super attentive.

I came here after seeing the oyster shooter video on IG. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed to discover that they don't have a liquor license or a beer license here. So the oyster shooters do not contain alcohol. Nevertheless, I still tried them and they were OK. I also indulged in the shrimp ceviche, which was mighty tasty and very fresh. The side of guacamole did not disappoint. The person I was with decided to try the fried fish, which was delicious The service was exceptional. The server was very nice and had a great attitude. This place is in a small shopping center with limited parking, so keep that in mind as well. On a Friday night, they only had one empty table so I'm sure they get a lot of locals from the area. If I'm in the area, I will go in for the ceviche, but probably not for the oyster shooters

I absolutely love this place! I started coming here a few years back when a few of my friends had recommended it to me and me and my family haven't been able to stop going ever since. The food here is unmatched, you can taste and see how fresh everything is. From there fresh Mariscos to their savory Mexican dishes, I have grown to enjoy and love it all. I highly recommend their Parilladas and their Menudo! The staff here is very friendly and they always provide us with the best recommendations. They are very attentive and make me and my family feel at home.

Food was mind blowing, we left so happy! We ordered several plates and none disappointed. Only complaints are wait times, parking, and they seem low on staff so we found ourselves asking for the sever several times.
