ATTENTION:
I wanted to share feedback about my visit today. I ordered a Molcajete Mixto, which was absolutely perfect -- full of flavor and beautifully prepared. I also ordered a Michelada and the Boti Rochi Ceviche, but unfortunately, the ceviche was extremely disappointing.
The octopus had a strong smell, almost as if it was expired, and neither the shrimp nor the octopus had any flavor. There was no salt or lime juice added, which made the dish taste raw and unpleasant. It also didn't include lime or avocado on the side, as shown in the picture on the menu.
I brought this to the waitress's attention, and she noticed that we didn't eat the ceviche. However, she didn't make an effort to inform the manager or offer to replace the dish. I wasn't asking for a free meal -- just some attention to the issue and a gesture to show concern for customer satisfaction.
When I suggested that she let customers know if a ceviche doesn't include lime or salt, her response was, "You didn't ask me, and I didn't tell you, so it's both of our fault." That kind of answer felt dismissive. In customer service, it's always better to listen to the feedback and bring it to management rather than blame the customer.
I'm very disappointed with this experience, especially since I usually enjoy your food. My suggestion is that your team ensures that all ceviches have proper seasoning -- at least lime juice, salt, or some other kind of flavor to avoid that raw or spoiled seafood taste.
Despite the experience, I still left a 20% tip because I valued the not great service and hope my feedback helps improve things for future customers.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope this helps improve the experience for future customers, as I truly enjoy your restaurant and would love to keep coming back.
Lime in this picture and the extra shrimp were included by me btw!
