"Marker 32 has been a local favorite for fresh seafood for more than two decades, located just a stone's throw from the Intracoastal Waterway and the Jacksonville Boat Club. The menu, an homage to Jacksonville’s southern roots, features sharable plates such as fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, and fried oysters with deviled eggs. Be sure not to miss its crab cakes, served with a salty and herb-filled caper dill sauce." - Megan duBois

A great place for a dressy date night! The cocktail selections are great. We sat at probably the worst table in the entire restaurant which was right when you walked in the door near the host stand. If you are sat near the windows or in the back I’m sure the atmosphere was quieter and more romantic. Food was delicious and our server was wonderful!

A friend took me out to dinner for my birthday last night at Marker 32 and it was nothing short of exceptional. Cameron had extensive knowledge of the food and didn't lead us astray. We had the raw oysters on the shell, octopus appetizer, Ribeye special, snapper special, and apple crisps a la mode dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My sister took me here for my birthday. The steaks were excellent made the way I like the food was flavorful. The drinks were awesome. Love the views of the restaurant very crowded so make sure you make reservations. Also valet parking is available complementary as parking can be difficult. It gets very busy at 6 PM.

Incredible! The food was exceptional. I had the special - halibut with Japenese seasonings and stir fry. The flavor was perfection and had a kick. Vegetables and rice were sweet with a bit of heat on back end. ❤️. Absolutely fantastic. Also had Creme Brûlée which was wonderful. My friend had the Pork Chop and it was also excellent. Had beautiful view. Only downside is how LOUD it is. We were there at 6:30 on a Friday, so maybe other times would not be so bad, but it was EXTREMELY hard to hear at your table or hear your server. Will definitely go back.

Google
We had dinner at Marker 32 on a Thursday night for my birthday. It was completely packed, but we had a reservation. We seated in the back behind a curtain that section off the dining room. Unfortunately, there were no air vents except for one on the floor that we could see, and it was quite stuffy back there. this aside, our server was amazing, he knew his stuff. I got the special, which was flounder blackened, it was delicious. We also enjoyed the oysters appetizer. My husband said the short ribs were the best he’s ever had. I would highly recommend because the food was great

Google
Dinner with a view at Marker 32! Left feeling completely satisfied—in the best way—but I still can’t stop thinking about that cheesecake. So smooth, light, and fluffy! Started with the Tuna Poke (delicious!), while Charlie went for the Prime Rib with asparagus and German potatoes. I had the flounder with veggies and new potatoes—perfection. Just expect it to be very loud and hard to hear in there. Just a mile from our home! Highly recommend for a great meal!

Excellent service was provided by Kent. Very flavorful food, well presented and served. Very nice to have a good place setting with an actual butter knife.....a first in a really long time....Nice ambiance with a good view.

Google
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and were so happy with the atmosphere, service, and food! The best steak I’ve ever had by far! My husband loved his tuna & we both loved the dessert & his dessert drink! Our waitress was the sweetest and brought us champagne to celebrate our new marriage and was great at checking on us! Beautiful dockside restaurant and there were outfits of every sort, from casual to nicer outfits, which we were at first worried about the dress code!

Yelp
Awesome food and service! Best bartenders! Delicious menu and specials. Great service. Beautiful setting!

Yelp
Business colleagues introduced us to this restaurant, and this was our second visit. We're from the Gulf Coast, and each time we come here, we make it a point to dine here. We began with two glasses of white wine, an ideal pairing with seafood. For the appetizer, we selected the Marker 32 broiled oysters, which were absolutely delicious--among the best I've ever tasted. For our main courses, we had the wood-grilled salmon and blackened halibut. Both dishes were outstanding. Our waitress was Jillian, she did a fantastic job, making sure that we were content, and our glasses were full! Great place, highly recommend. This place books up quickly so make a reservation to ensure you get to dine here.

Yelp
I came here because of proximity to my Airbnb and because of the reviews. The ambience is quite good, the staff very deferential and polite. The customers are a good-looking crowd. Definitely a date spot, as well as a spot for friends. I found the seafood options to be a bit limited for a place with such a nautical theme. Couldn't make up my mind so I got fried shrimp/oyster combo with shoestring fries. Two of those shrimp were soft (as in, not fresh). Yuck. The oysters were too small to taste good deep-fried. And the shoestring potatoes were all fry and no potato, due to being so fine. I guess that's a matter of taste and some people like it but I like to taste potatoes, not oil and salt. The other shrimp that were fresh were quite good. I don't think I'll return but my menu exploration was admittedly trivial and other people's meals at least looked better than what I ordered. So there's that.

Yelp
Went to Marker 32 for a special occasion and it was made that much more special by the food and service here. We were promptly seated at a window table overlooking the water. The waiter was very attentive and we started with the pork belly appetizer and ordered scallops and a ribeye for our entrees. The appetizer was a unique take on pork belly as it was crispy without a sweet glaze like most places do. It was crispy, tender, and flavorful. Our entrees came out and while the ribeye was overdone, the waiter immediately replaced it with one cooked to a perfect medium. We had barely pointed it out and he took it back before we could even ask. The scallops were tender and seared well on the outside with the risotto and greens complementing their buttery-ness. We finished with the praline cheesecake which was a decadent cheesecake with a caramelized praline layer on top. The perfect way to end the meal! The food was great and the service was even better. Definitely book in advance for any special occasions but this is somewhere you don't want to miss.

Makeda L.

Yelp
Beautiful setting, great hostess at the front and our server was so patient. Her service was awesome. She even brought a complimentary pecan desert to the table. The fried shrimp were huge and seasoned, the cocktail Sauce was not needed. The oyster topped deviled eggs were quite different but tasty. The vegan pad Thai noodles were a little undercooked but the flavors were there. The spin on the fried green tomatoes was yummy.

Jason B.

Yelp
Had a group dinner here in the private room in the back, which had a view of the water. The entrees were the most well liked of the food options, notably the scallops and the pork chop. If you are in the area, it's a good option.

Teresa W.

Yelp
We love Marker 32. Great waterfront views, great nightly specials and great staff! We are here several times per month at minimum and often weekly. Check them out when in the area.

Angelaina B.

Yelp
Everything was great and the vibe was AMAZING. Reserved for a party of 10. Waitress was very attentive and on point all night. The wait time was a little long for food but the drinks and vibe were worth the wait. 5/5

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Our group of 6 were seated quite promptly The view was fantastic. The service was flawless. Appetizers we ordered: fried green tomatoes, calamari, poke nachos - all absolutely divine no complaints Hubby and I I ordered: Ribeye steak medium rare - this was cooked to perfection. It just the perfect amount of seasoning and charred just the way I like it. Seated New Bedford scallops - can I just say these were some of the best scallops I've ever had? So fresh, so moist and tender, perfectly seared on one side with flavors locked in each bite The grits were creamy and the broth presented with a nice flavorful. Collard greens were cut like I prefer them to be, not too big that it slivers down and makes you choke and not too small that it makes you feel like you're eating shredded veggies. Small details matter and they nailed it! Overall a great experience. A highly recommended restaurant for date night and group events

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Marker 32!! We FINALLYYYYY made it there after wanting to go forever! Perfect excuse, my birthday dinner :) We had a nice table in the main dining room, In a small corner. It was packed!! We started with the calamari then I chose the scallops as my entree & my hubs had the pan seared chicken. The scallops were literal perfection. The grits were creamy and well cooked and the spinach touch was splendid! I absolutely loved my meal choice. The chicken was a hearty piece with fantastic flavor and moist quality. My husband was also happy with his choice. We finished our meal with the crème brûlée. Now as a crème brûlée lover, I am quite picky with it! This one was fantastic!! So smooth yet hearty and thick. I absolutely loved it!!! Can't wait to come Back for our next date here!

Charlie Z.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a date night or anniversary. It's on the water so it has the perfect sunset view. Service is phenomenal, our waitress was very friendly had a smile on her face the whole time. We ordered the Seared Filet Mignon with boursin fingerling potatoes / grilled asparagus / dukes ale onion jam / red wine demi, delicious!

Edward A.

Yelp
It's been years since we've eaten here. Still solid and consistent. For a fine dining experience, the value can't be beat. $5 sides and $10 premium cocktails are incomparable to similar restaurants of this caliber. It's fancy enough to be fancy but not too overly pretentious. Complimentary bread was provided once we were settled in. I started with the M32 broiled oysters which were done perfectly. I followed that with a half Caesar - didn't know that was an option but thankful it was. My entree was broiled scallops served over grits and served with collards. All was well executed but I would've liked the collards cooked down a little more. Flavor profiles for all were perfect. Service from Jillian was spot on - personable, attentive, and not overbearing. The teamwork service from the bus/water personnel was tight - anytime we needed even half a water refill or a plate needed to be picked up, it just happened. This is a well-oiled and managed staff. Kudos to the team and the management. My only critique is that the restaurant can get loud when full - which is almost all the time. We remembered this fact from our last visit and the same holds true today. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Yelp
Celebrated my wife's birthday early Friday dinner to avoid the crowd. We arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated right away. We ordered some drinks and put in a couple of plates to share, duck confit flatbread and Thai steamed mussels. We didn't expect the flatbread to be that good. Tender sliced duck meat and the pickled blueberries gave a hint of sweetness. The mussels in coconut curry and spiced peanuts were plentiful. We only ate half of it since we still have our Main entrees and dessert. For the Mains, I had the Braised Short Ribs. It came in a bed of massive potatoes and asparagus. You can't go wrong with short ribs. Tender and flavorful, but 1/3 of it was fat, I had a couple of bites of my wife's blackened flounder. Nicely seasoned! For dessert, we had the Pineapple upside down bread pudding. We surely enjoyed it, but the whipped cream was not necessary. Great service. Our server was on-point. Friendly, accommodating, and he checked on us often.

Genia H.

Yelp
The food service was amazing. Our server was very kind and patient with our large group. She had extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to answer all of our questions right away. The food came out timely. I ordered the deviled eggs which were great and for my entree I had the fried shrimp with a side substitute of cheese grits. Those were some of the best cheese grits I've had to date. The seasoning was on point. The drinks were delicious and STRONG.

Sujin J.

Yelp
It was mission impossible to get a table here around dinner time (normal people dinner time not senior or vampire dinner time) without making a reservation. We love going to a ramen place in JAX but we felt the adventurous soul stirring up in us since my husband was trying out for hammerhead swim in the open ocean!!! Walked in and walked to the bar and the service was fast and friendly and the food was excellent!!!! The bartenders were very able and friendly but the one who served us was a pro for sure!!! I don't know how she did it. When we are leaving, she casually said, "see you next week". I almost said, "yes, see you next week!" Then, I had to correct myself by saying see you next year!!! It will be one more reason to come back to JAX in addition to hammerhead swim:))

Bill F.

Yelp
Excellent service , drinks and food . Seafood was fresh and none perfectly. Cocktails ( old fashion) was perfectly prepared as well ! Great views of marina too . We will be back

Yelp
First impressions are everything and last night our dining experience was EVERYTHING! This restaurant is beautiful and right on the water. The view is gorgeous and decor is lovely. We started off our meal with the burrata and the shrimp appetizer and were "wowed". For our entrees, I asked for a substitution and the kitchen did an amazing job with the dish. Everything from the service to the food was outstanding. We took our desserts home and it was packaged with care so everything made it home safe. This meal was delicious and perfect. What a fantastic experience!

Lynn P.

Yelp
Great service. Came here to celebrate our friend's birthday. The view was a bonus. I enjoyed the appetizers most. Calamari, scallops, and deviled eggs were delicious. Halibut was a bit dry and not very flavorful.

Lea P.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here and I wore heels, lol! Well, as it turned out, since it's near the water, you can wear a summer dress, shorts, sandals and even sneakers, based on what I've seen on other people. Inside, the bar was already full but not too loud. It was quite busy on a Friday night but good thing we made a reservation. We ordered the following: Thai Steamed Mussels - huge portion and definitely for the table, good for 3-4 people for starters! Tasty and you would want more bread to dip on that curry sauce! Duck Confit Flatbread - a pleasant surprise! Slightly sweet due to the picked blueberries but oh so yummy! Short Rib Special - my husband loved the flavor but he said there was too much fat. Blackened Flounder Special - I enjoyed this! I like that they pair it with rice and vegetables. Substituted the green beans with Brussels sprouts. Delicious! Pineapple Upside Down Bread Pudding - Good but I prefer just plain. Although we waited quite a while for our entrees, our server Chris was so helpful and attentive, top notch service from him! I highly recommend this place!

Dori R.

Yelp
We brought friends that were visiting from out of town. It was our first time eating here. The food was just mediocre, the service felt very rushed and impersonal, but the atmosphere is very nice. It's quite expensive so we probably won't be back unless it's just for a cocktail.

Mike B.

Yelp
We had marker 32 on our list of must try restaurants after reading the reviews. Well, it did not dissapoint great food service and ambiance. Food, service, and presentation was spot on. I had to try the shrimp Alfredo it had a little spice with andouolle sausage. It was great tasting. I would definitely order again. The second dish was a sear panned chicken with a demi glaze and new potatoes with asparagus it was delicious. Overall, I was very pleased, and the reviews were correct.

Eric D.

Yelp
I had to give this place 5 stars. I came for dinner. The service was great and the food left me with an urge to return again. The ambiance is intimate with other guests but you forget others are there when you taste your meal. My gf and I shared oysters and Jerk Shrimp as well as ordered a couple of specialty entrees off menu and finished it off with their bread pudding for dessert.

Pamela M.

Yelp
Buzzy and fun! Some hits and misses, but the blackened halibut was probably one of the best prepared fish entrees I've ever had! It was a thing of beauty and so succulent. All of the sides that came with it accented the fish perfectly. Only disappointment was probably the oyster special. Not so special. Also, the toro app was so overwhelmed by its accoutrements that you couldn't taste the delicacy of the fish. But because that fish dish was so amazing, it saved the whole dinner.

Joann G.

Yelp
Great happy hour! Great food and drinks too. You can't beat the view. Just get there by 4:45 in order to get a great seat and take it all in. Happy hour is only at the bar only.

Steve B.

Yelp
On vacation we found this place on Yelp with great reviews. To celebrate my landmark 70th birthday we decided to splurge. Make reservations or you are probably not getting in. A most excellent experience! I had the seared tuna, rare, on a bed of wild rice with Kimchi. Exquisite! We are retired so of modest means. I was a little concerned about what MKT Price would be but well worth the reasonable $36. My wife had the smoked pork chop and could barely finish it all. The service was top notch. Highly recommend!

Alexa R.

Yelp
We went here for my husband's birthday. I made a reservation for 7:00, we arrived a few minutes early, and were greeted and seated immediately. This restaurant is located right on the bay, with large windows overlooking the water. The tables were candlelight and perfect for a romantic evening. Our server came up to us right away and gave us the list of daily specials. I have no idea how he could remember so many specials, but he is very talented! Every time I thought he was done listing the items, he would mention another one. I do like how this restaurant has rotating specials; it keeps the menu unique and assures its customers that everything is locally sourced. We ordered two appetizers: the deviled eggs and the steak and mushroom skewers (which was a daily special). Both were outstanding! The deviled eggs had a fried oyster on top, which was an amazing spin on a classic appetizer! My husband and I each ordered the blue crab cakes, for we both absolutely love crab cakes. The reason why I am giving this restaurant four stars instead of five is due to how salty and dry the crab cakes were. They came with a sauce which helped, but I need to stress that all I tasted while eating them was salt. I LOVE crab cakes and had a difficult time finishing them. I am mentioning this in hopes of a head chef seeing this, because one of my friends actually advised against Marker 32 due to how salty her food was. She visited several years ago and hasn't returned due to this- I obviously didn't want to take her opinion into consideration since I understand restaurants have off days and a lot can change in a few years. But after reading other reviews, over salting entrées seems common here, and I am hoping that this feedback is taken into consideration. The appetizers and service were excellent here, and I would love to give this place a second chance for dinner.

Susan K.

Yelp
We have a food experience every time we eat at this beautiful restaurant. The service is above and beyond the usual standards. Love dining at Marker.

Isaac M.

Yelp
Marker 32 is one of my go to semi-neighborhood favorites. The view and intimate feel that Marker delivers is suitable for a night out with friends, to a special occasion. I've explored most of this menu, and nothing has let me down. Make a reservation, or show up, they usually find a way to make it work, or just jockey for positioning at the bar with the early crowd. They do have a great wine and bourbon selection!

Maggie L.

Yelp
Tasted really bad! Overpriced. Raw oysters were not cleaned well. Soup was over-seasoned.

Sandy B.

Yelp
Best scallops and grits ever. Nice view of the dock. Enjoyed seeing the boats come in and go out. Great overall experience. We have gone often but unfortunately for us we live over 100 miles away so it's not as often as we'd like. A bit pricey, but worth it. BTW, if you aren't a seafood lover, no problem. Their ribeye melts in your mouth.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Location Just st off Beach Boulevard-east of San Pablo road-before inter-coastal bridge- Parking Complimentary valet. Parking lot adjacent Atmosphere Classy Seating East area around bar and tables, west area-tables for larger groups near windows, smaller parties towards the back. Food and beverages Wide selection of appetizers, entrees. 3 kinds of bread delivered to the table-sourdough, cheese bread, pretzel bread-sweet butter ( so fresh!). We had the warm spinach salad-AMAZING!! Tuna tartare with chops-perfect sized tuna and light chips-yum. I had the crab cakes-smallish and dry, side of salad that was good. We also had shrimp linguini-very good. Fir dessert, the creme brûlée was terrific! Side of strawberries-crust perfect! So many vanilla beans in the custard! Chocolate cake-so rich and tasty! We made a reservation for my birthday but they forgot- only negative. Check served with complimentary praline type cookie bites. So good! Summary Beautiful view of the intercoastal, great location, easy parking, fantastic food, great service!

Audrey A.

Yelp
Just like it's sister restaurants, Marker delivers excellence across the board--service, food and ambiance. The evening was perfect and so were the views. The service was above and beyond - exceptional at the least. And the food -- absolutely delicious. Wine selection is impressive. The mahi was grilled and seasoned perfectly. And the scallops--I feel like I can't trust myself to cook scallops this divine. I cannot tell you enough about the service--- the team there is on point. Jonar! That's my dude. And Laura, she always takes great care of us. Marker 32 is seriously the perfect spot for a girls night, a celebration, date night, or group dinner. Highly recommend!

Gabby R.

Yelp
My husband loves this place, we're regulars at NBFC and this is very similar to that but a lot more upscale.

Jesika K.

Yelp
I came here for a girls Christmas dinner and liked it so much I had to bring my fiancé back a week later. Our service was fantastic, the food was so flavorful and everyone we encountered was pleasant. Both times I got the charbroiled oysters because they are straight delicious. First visit I went heavy apps for my meals with the oyster, charred octopus and the burrata of the moment and side of asparagus. Everything was great, I would love to see a few more crostini pieces served with the burrata but you can ask for extra with no issue. Second visit I was planning on ordering the lamb but it had been switched out on the menu for duck which i was going to get but sadly they were out. So I picked the oysters again with the Thai steamed mussels as my dish. For appetizers we got the special salmon yakitori and the burrata of the moment and both were delicious. I can't say enough good things about this place. Note the parking lot is limited but the valet operates on tips and they accept venmo as well. Such a pleasant place for dinner and the view is great.

Amber A.

Yelp
Best ambiance around. I love it and will be back for date night soon. We love the pecan desserts. The salad and oysters are my fav.

Boris W.

Yelp
Very good operations. Restaurant was very busy and the staff was working well together, professionally and organized. Food was prepared well and all items were at appropriate temperatures. A couple items did not match the flavors of the menu descriptions but were still good. Seafood selections seemed to stand out as best with our group.

Carmelita E.

Yelp
We went to Marker 32 for my birthday last month. We were a little early for our reservation so we had to wait. They finally called us and initially seated us at a table close to the door and reception. We requested a different table and they were able to accommodate. Now on to the food. We ordered the raw oysters and calamari for apps. The oysters were high quality and my son liked it; it was his first time to try raw oysters. Overall, it was a pleasant birthday dinner.

Paula C.

Yelp
Excellent dinners, service is professional, peaceful water views. There is an elevator for those who need one.

Lauren J.

Yelp
Went for brunch and everything was amazing! Service and food are always perfectly on point!

Rick P.

Yelp
Driven by marker 32 all the time on beach Blvd in jax but finally decided to try it. Reservations are suggested strongly because when I pulled up on a Monday, the lot was filled Got seated right away and was brought a complimentary bread and butter. Ordered a Texas mule and it was put together great. Ben was my waiter and he was fantastic. Went over the specials and I did the mahi mahi with black eyed peas. It was phenomenal. With a very good Cesar salad.. Got a to go dessert for a friend of mine Views are great over the intercoastal. The service is superb. Even manager stopped by to make sure things were good. Ben was great And the food was outstanding. What's nice...what you paid for was not that bad for what I got.

Michelle M.

Yelp
The food is spectacular! The views are amazing! The bar is not very big so don't plan on hanging out there much but that's ok because the table views are better. Seriously great food

Marqus R.

Yelp
Jax's Beach area has two really good waterfront restaurants being MAVI and Marker 32. Both are located within surrounding marina areas and offer magnificent waterfront views. MAVI is the more fun party one with its Friday, Saturday and Sunday live entertainment. But, when it comes to the better in food, ambience, atmosphere and service, Marker 32 is the hands down better of the two. Marker 32 has a really great all-encompassing menu with a good emphasis on Coastal Classics of Blue Crab Cakes, Oysters, and Shrimp. When having oysters, I particularly liked their dill and caper tarter sauce. For my main course both Beloved and I had their Seared Filet Mignon Which came perfectly as each of us had ordered, mine rare and his medium. We both thought that the red wine demi glaze topped with the blue cheese fondue was a delicious as well as perfect enhancement. So, for good food and waterfront dining, it's tough to beat Marker 32.

Daniel H.

Yelp
Seating, service and food were superb Ben our server was amazing. His recommendations off menu by the chef were tops!

Carie I.

Yelp
Yes! Amy, Our server, was amazing! The ambiance was perfect. They my are pricey so be prepared but the food was wonderful!

Rachelle S.

Yelp
It has been several years since coming to Marker 32 and I will not make that mistake again. Our server Amy was fantastic and the food was even better. I am so happy I chose to kick off 2023 with my family at Marker 32!!

Jeni V.

Yelp
Had dinner for the first time at Marker 32 last night - late Valentines/anniversary celebration. Wouldn't call it a romantic spot , there's definitely better options for that. Sat at a tiny round table by the window and incredibly close to other couples - bit awkward. Loud atmosphere and had to yell across tiny table to my husband. Vibe is very much country club. The food was solid, but nothing to write home about to me.. My biggest issue is that my husband almost fell back off his chair when the back of it began to separate from the base. Promptly told the waiting and while he replaced the chair - he just "thanked" us for bring it to his attention. High end place shouldn't have these issues and should offer a bit more than a "thanks" in my opinion. May go back on a different night but probably just to sit at the bar for drinks before dinner elsewhere.

Teresa J.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and view. The food is always on point. Lively bar scene. Be forewarned- sitting at the bar when it's full of regulars and you are not one may result in slower service for you. But everyone is always nice.

Jessie H.

Yelp
Tuna was fabulous seared to perfection!!! Fried green tomatoes the best! Waiter was very nice and perfect! Ambience for date night perfect.

Alison A.

Yelp
Marker 32 has been a favorite of mine for years. I have spent so many special events here, I lost count. Also I can't mention Marker 32 without the amazing cats they care for outside the restaurant. I get worried if Buster isn't there to greet me when I enter or leave. Their dishes are always prepared to perfection and I love that they continue to carry local spirits. They know Carve vodka is my local favorite and the dirty martini can't be beat. See you all soon!

Robbie C.

Yelp
We consider ourselves foodies and love trying new restaurants but for whatever reason we are beach people who had never made our way to Marker 32. Crazy right? We finally rectified that this past weekend with our first date night since our daughter was born. Marker 32 on the weekend is packed! We made reservations a week in advance and spots were already very limited. When we arrived indeed every single table was occupied. The ambiance was great at the restaurant. It had a very cool stylish vibe. On the downside, it does get very loud which can make conversation difficult. For a starter we had the Rosemary Grilled Octopus. This is an interesting dish. The smoky tomato puree and sherry smoked paprika vinaigrette in it were very strong and although tasty it did overpower the dish slightly. We also had the arugula fries. The fires are extremely thin and crispy. Almost more like fry chips than fries. The flavor was good but the thin fries are definitely not my favorite. My wife got their Old Fashioned and said that it was excellent. For dinner my wife had the Vegan Pad Thai. This dish was huge, easily enough for two meals. She said she enjoyed it and really loved the flavors. I had the special for the night which was a pan seared grouper in a coconut curry. The flavors were good but the grouper was definitely over cooked to the point of being a little dry. The two tables next to us also had fish dishes that they complained were over cooked so maybe the cook was just having an off night. For dessert we had the hummingbird cake which was absolutely delicious. All in all I see what the hype is about. Marker 32 delivers a solid ambiance and some good food for a date night or a business meal where you are looking to impress. For the price though, I expect the food to be cooked perfectly and the service to be impeccable which while good, I feel like they missed the mark with us tonight. We will be back but I wonder if this classic beach restaurant is relying too much on its reputation?
