"Diners seeking sunset views and fresh seafood can’t go wrong here. The landmark spot has undergone a transformation that features two tiki bars, 10,000 square feet of beachfront dining, a retail space, and an expansive event space perfect for those memorable beachfront weddings. Diners can indulge in meals like Key Lime Seafood (shrimp, lobster, and crab with Tabasco butter and cilantro-lime rice) and catch of the day, grilled or fried, served with sauces like garlic butter cream." - Alona Martinez

"The iconic restaurant located in Plantation Key, in the Village of Islamorada, recently reopened its doors after a lengthy expansion and renovation that includes an expanded beachfront bar and dining areas. Diners can enjoy Caribbean-inspired curries (made from scratch), Marker 88’s signature Floridian-style jerk chicken, and plenty of seafood. Wrap things up, of course, with Key lime pie." - Alona Martinez

What a beautiful, relaxing, "Keysey" restaurant and tiki bar! A must visit! I was here to be DJ&MC for a destination wedding in Islamorada at the southern end of the property, which is a beautiful location for weddings & events, and I arrived early as I always do. I had lunch here. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere, layout of the restaurant, views, vibe, etc. It was a Saturday, and there was also an enjoyable solo guitarist, Billy D, playing relaxing, soft rock throwbacks during lunch on a Saturday. The food was good, but service could've been much better and more attentive. Sometimes laid-back restaurants like this have similar issues. Still, I'd highly recommend you visit, and I'll definitely be back. It's a great not to be missed experience overall!

Definitely make reservation if you want to have a better chance at having seating with shade, lesson learned. Very beautiful atmosphere and relaxing. Had a table right next to the water. Our waitress was perfect. Very attentive but not overly attentive. The food was really good, only downside it did taste like there was a little too much salt for us, but it could just be a preference thing. Overall, great place and would definitely suggest this place to others to try out.

Google
We came in for dinner and to watch the sunset and had the best time. Such a beautiful and serene atmosphere with the most amazing views. The hostesses were welcoming and we had no wait. Our waitress was Leslie and she was awesome. She was very attentive and kind, we really enjoyed having her! The food was excellent. For starters we ordered the coconut shrimp and the crab cake. The flavors and portions were perfect for us. The crab cake only comes with one but it was plenty and absolutely perfect as well. For our entree we had the blackened mahi with lemon piccata sauce, rice, and vegetables and it was phenomenal. The flavors and the cook were outstanding. I also highly recommend the coconut pineapple margarita. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Google
Great view. Decent selections on the menu and food was above mid. I’d select here before many others in the area. Nice and clean too.

Google
Had an amazing dinner at Marker 88! The oceanfront views at sunset were absolutely stunning and for sure the main reason for my visit. In my personal experience compared to my previous visit; the food was okay and since they expanded the location the magic is gone. Super relaxed vibe and great service.

Google
Had dinner for a large group of 22 people. Service was friendly. Guacamole was tasty thou ask for extra trips. Spicy tuna roll was good. Tuna nachos were awesome. Had Hog fish for dinner which was delicious. Key lime pie was outstanding. There is a gorgeous sunset view. Great place to spend the evening. Ask for Versace or Lauren as your servers...

Google
I came here today for my birthday. The place is beautiful, the best view , we get to see the sunset. Food was delicious, seafood and pasta was 10/10 But the service was very poor. I didn't even had his name but he barely take a moment to take the order, at the moment of the dessert he literally drop the dessert on the table without taking the dirty plates. And when we asked for to go boxes he throw them on the table. Following he threw the bill without even us asking for it. Very sad experience because of the server, otherwise would've be perfect. Only who seems to be the manager was kind and said bye to us .

Google
Great food, beautiful views! The service was friendly, but not much table etiquette in terms of clearing plates between entrees or bringing a fresh set of silverware. The singer that night was an interesting genre. Would have expected a more tropical playlist, or a band. So, don’t come looking for a fun tropical ambience. However would return for the food and sunset!

Yelp
The ambiance and food was great. However, the service was not stellar. When we arrived I let the host know that a person in our party was in a wheelchair. He still proceeded to sit us in a high top table. Luckily, our friend was able to transition out of his wheel chair but should not have been required to. The waitress was slow to bring our drinks out and never checked on us. We had to track her down a few times when we wanted refills and needed extra items.

J. Andrea Z.

Yelp
The place has been renovated and expanded. The view of the sunset is amazing and outdoor tables are all well set. The service staff were very nice and attentive, they helped on menu recommendations. We ordered some appetizers and drinks while waiting for the sunset, the rocka shrimp and guacamole was great but the sushi not really. As for beers and cocktails they have options. Preferably reserve a table but you can also go as a walk-in, honestly the view can be enjoyed from all angles.

Kimberly K.

Yelp
First I would like to mention that their key lime pie is up there with Mrs Macs for being the best in the upper keys. Like zest throughout and homemade whip cream with extra toasty crust. Served very chilled and custard, very comparable to the restaurant Mrs Mac. Ordered the jerk chicken fajita with fantastic roti. The cilantro chutney and rice was nicely done. The mahi club was a huge piece of fish with crispy well done fries. The kiwi gin smash was great with fresh kiwi and mint muddled into it. Service was good and personable, letting us know all the things she's liked on the menu. The ambiance was beachy and calm. Nothing too busy and the weather was nice and breezy.

Yelp
All in all the best dinner we had on this trip to the keys. We grabbed dinner here one night while we watched the sunset. It was a perfect location. There is patio/pavilion seating and beach seating. We sat under the pavilion. I must mention the chickens here. We counted nine chicken walking around the seating area. Perfect for the Florida Keys. As the sun set, they flew up to the trees for the night. It was very entertaining for all. We started off with a margarita and a glass of wine. The hubby said the margarita was fantastic and he was correct. It was not a mixer. It was a real margarita. He ordered the hog fish special, coconut crusted with a Tabasco lime sauce. I ordered the key lime seafood dish. One boy ordered the yellow tuna sushi and the other grabbed a pasta dish. Everyone loved their meals. We ordered three desserts to share, the key lime pie, the warm brownie with ice cream, and the banana dessert. All three were fantastic, but I have to give a special shout out to the Chef on that banana dessert. It was like banana foster met up with churros and made a dessert, it was delicious. Again the best dinner we had on this trip to the keys. I highly recommend grabbing a sunset dinner here one night if you're down south.

Josh J.

Yelp
Who is our first time down in the keys, so we were told to go to marker 88. We love to sit outside when we dine and it was a great experience to have dinner under candlelight at the water. It is a little bit more expensive than other places, but worth it in the experience.

Lori E.

Yelp
This place is BEAUTIFUL. The ambiance is great; the waitstaff are attentive and friendly. The guacamole is very good. The sushi rolls are good but overpriced, and the mixed drinks were very tasty. I would recommend going during happy hour.

Chrishawn B.

Yelp
Stumbled on to this place while out exploring. We were hungry so we decided to try it out. Sat us by the water it was a beautiful day. Not too many people there yet so it was quiet. Had a live artist singing. He was pretty good. I ordered chicken rice bowl. Husband ordered mahi tacos and a pineapple margarita. Drink came out pretty quick. Food followed not long after. Waiter was not very attentive. Never asked if my husband wanted another drink and my soda sat empty. Food was really good though. Would possibly come back and try again if we didn't get same waiter.

Nicholas G.

Yelp
Ambiance A+ Looking over the bay side of the keys. Perfect spot to catch a sunset. Service was on par. Food was surprisingly good. Had the steak fajitas, the catch of the day, and the watermelon salad with blackened mahi. The price was a tad bit high. Make sure you come in appropriate clothing, it's hot!

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Absolutely the best restaurant we've eaten at yet! Such an incredible dining experience! The service was fantastic! The food was delicious! Flavor bomb dishes! The curry snapper and Keylime seafood dishes that we ordered were just phenomenal! Our drinks as well! Can't beat the location! Overlooking the water absolutely beautiful! Definitely want to come back again! Highly recommend!

Ivy S.

Yelp
Today was the first time hubby and I visited this restaurant in mid-afternoon, at exactly 2pm. The service was a bit slow to begin although there were plenty of empty tables, but got better once the head waiter inquired if we had been served. The beer and appetizer were refreshing and the food was tasty, as always. However, even though we sat under the shade, the humidity at that time was at 77% which made the 85 degrees feel like 97 according to the weather channel. There was absolutely no breeze whatsoever and no fans anywhere in sight to relieve the agony. That is the reason for the 4-star. It was torturous to eat while perspiring profusely even though we both wore light summer clothing. For such a gorgeous outdoor restaurant, with delicious menu items, I don't understand why management has not thought about placing fans in strategic locations to make it comfortable for its patrons. Needless to say, we rushed through our delicious meal in order to get back to our car to blast the A/C. Other than the uncomfortable summer heat, I absolutely recommend this restaurant. In order to enjoy your meal, however, avoid going at midday in August :|

Yelp
Food was amazing!! I had Thai red chicken curry. My husband had the filet mignon and was made perfect. My kids had the mac and cheese and grilled cheese and was large portions. The desserts were delicious as well. Key lime pie and the chocolate fudge brownie. They had nice views and live music. Only issue was that considering how slow it was I was disappointed in the lack of attention and better service from the staff.

Yelp
Maker 88 is a true Islamorada staple! This was my first time back since there huge renovation and i was very impressed with the changes! Ambiance wise this is a beautiful water front restaurant with both patio and beach seating! If you are looking for a spot to grab a drink and Watch the sunset look no further because sunset views here are outstanding! The renovated patio area is absolutely beautiful. There's tons of tables all very well spaced, and the overall vibe is relaxed and a little bit more upscale. Service wise our waitress was wonderful. She was very sweet very attentive and we had a reservation so we got seated right away on a beautiful beachfront table. Food wise, the rock tempura was outstanding definitely a must get appetizer. we had pasta with shrimp and it packed so much flavor and was such a great portion. We even split it between two people and were perfectly content with the amount of food we got. They have a wonderful cocktail menu and to be honest I've never had a cocktail here. This place is a little bit on the pricey side, but you are paying for wonderful quality food, wonderful service and an absolutely beautiful dining view. Definitely a must try spot if you're in Islamorada!

Arturo F.

Yelp
Man, this place certainly isn't haute cuisine but... it's just about everything I want out of dinner in the Keys. Yummy sugary cocktails? Check. Decent food? Check. Incredible views? CHECK! It was our last dinner in the Keys and everything we hoped it would be. I had the pasta Florentine with chicken and it was good, but not great. Service was a bit slow, but not *too* bad. And, let's be honest... when you're literally right next to the water looking at the sunset, everything else almost becomes somewhat irrelevant. I'd visit again without hesitation.

Lauren M.

Yelp
We are in Islamorada in June. It is definitely the off season, which I appreciate. I'm going to go on vacation and enjoy the heat no matter where I am, so might as well go to Islamorada during the off season. We had reservations at this restaurant at 7pm, knowing that sunset was a little after 8, and we got there 15 min early and was seated. For a restaurant on the beach, it was completely outside with tables on a deck and directly on the beach, I was surprised they didn't have any fans around. I've been to outside restaurants before and almost all have had fans. This place had these tiny table fans to "keep the flies away" which honestly didn't work anyway, cause once our dinner was brought, all we did was shoo flies away. The food - very good. We had the snapper ceviche and chopped salads as appetizer and we finished them all. Then we had the daily catch - hogfish - prepared lightly fried and it was delicious. Another entree was the lobster linguini- very good, though a bit heavy for a beach dish (not taking off points for this, we need some belly filling meals!) 4.5 stars for the food. I had a pineapple coconut margarita. It was good. I drank it. I enjoyed it. My friend had the kiwi gin smash. She said although it had a decent flavor, it had so many seeds and mint in it that you couldn't drink it (straw or sip& without a mouth full of it. They need to strain it. I hope they normally strain the drink and we were there on an off night ‍. My other friend (the DD) had a virgin strawberry daiquiri. It was a very icy drink, vice being smooth- perhaps cause it took a long time to get to our table. Drinks were 2.5 out of 5. The service was ehhh. Like I said, it was the off season, so I'm not sure how experienced our waiter was. The food runner was lovely but totally admitted it was her first day, but other than confusing a table number once, she was great. It took a long time for our drinks, despite not being many people there. Our waiter did not check in at all between getting our appetizers and clearing our dinner plates. I would have ordered another drink (or 2) and my friend would have ordered a different one had we been checked in on by our waiter. The waiter was super nice, the food runner was super nice and the people filling our water glasses and clearing tables were super nice. So- all in all- the staff was super nice! But it would have been nice to be checked in on! It took even longer to get our check. I would give the service a 2.5 out of 5. The "fly fans" were a hot commodity. As soon as they took away our food, someone asked for the fan. For a place on the water that should be used to this, I would expect to either have fans in the corners blowing around or at leafy have a fan for each table. There was umbrella shade at the different tables to enjoy- you could move your chair to be out of the sun if needed or have your back to it, but I seriously don't understand the lack of fans. Lastly, the sunset was beautiful. We asked for the check 15 min before the sunset and it took that long to get the check! I was able to sneak away for some pics befor me the sun went down. My friend joined me after she paid check, after the sun went down. Overall I am giving it a 3 out 5. The food was delicious and the sunset view was amazing. But then you had the flies, no fans, and slow service and okay drinks to consider.

Yelp
Market 88 in Isla Morada is an oceanfront gem that offers a fantastic dining experience with live music and stunning views. The setting is perfect for a family dinner, making our evening truly memorable. The menu is a delightful mix of creativity and local flavors. Highlights included the fresh, flavorful salads--especially the Tomatoes and Watermelon Salad--and the Curry Snapper with Cilantro Lime Rice, which was cooked to perfection. Although the Snapper Ceviche was not to my taste, being a bit too bold in its 'raw' seafood quality, the meal overall was exceptional. Dessert was a standout, with the 88 Key Lime Pie offering the perfect balance of tart and sweet in a buttery crust. Market 88 is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food in a beautiful setting and amazing service.

Yelp
Food, ambiance, service , everything was amazing ! View is beautiful, parking lot is huge , they have a little merchandise store with great specials !

Rakesh Kumar Reddy K.

Yelp
Vibe is good, food is decent. It's pricy restaurant though. Would have been great if they provided extended menu

K S.

Yelp
A keys favorite for over 20 years. We took the family of 7 here with one vegan in our group. All had a really good meal in a gorgeous setting . Go around sun down , get an adult beverage and enjoy . Go manga manga

Makenzie A.

Yelp
Very classy seafood bar and grill. When we went there was live music and the ambiance was very relaxing. Since we ate outside the lighting was dim and our waitress brought us a little lamp for our table. The food was incredible! I got The Catch of the Day which was hogfish with a side of broccoli and cilantro lime rice and it was pricey but well worth it!! I highly recommend

Colby M.

Yelp
Amazing location, unbeatable sunsets. Service was really good... watermelon/tomato salad is unparalleled... just fantastic Stone Crabs Beers Mixed drinks... All really solid Mahi fajita was ok ... Facility was exceptionally clean, nice amenities

Sarah M.

Yelp
We can in for drinks and ended up staying hours. From talking with the bartender and trying new drinks the ambiance was just what we were looking for. We started off with ceviche and oysters. Had more drinks and stayed for dinner. My salad was fresh and hit the spot being out on the water all day.

Luis H.

Yelp
We are a group of 25 who plan a long weekend getaway to Key Largo every year. We always organize a dinner together, and this year, I reached out to Marker 88. Shane responded promptly and efficiently organized our dinner party. When we arrived, everything was beautifully arranged for all of us. Shane then introduced me to Rolando, who would be taking care of us for the evening. Remarkably, Rolando remembered me from a previous visit a few months ago and did an even better job tonight. I want to thank the Marker 88 staff for making our dinner a success. Your team is truly awesome, and the food was absolutely top-notch.

John B.

Yelp
Was driving back from Key West and stopped off at Market 88. It was probably the best meal and experience that we had all trip. The restaurant overlooks the water with stunning views of the sunset. The menu was great but we had 4 appetizers and surprisingly we recommend them all. Must try the crab cakes, the Cuban Quesadillas were amazing! The guacamole and Chip was outstanding as were the Rock Shrimp Tempora. Topping it off was the best server ever, Gabby! She is so nice, friendly, and took such good care of us that we didn't want to leave! She is a local star for sure!

Debbie K.

Yelp
Great sunset spot. Foods very deish and ambiance is awesome. The sunsets are AHHHMAZING!

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Great atmosphere absolutely beautiful at sunset. Food was average and service was ok. For the price I expected more. Paying for the view

Macoisinha M.

Yelp
We were a little scared to try this places based on the reviews we saw but since most of the bad reviews were from a lil while ago we decided to give it a try since the place looked really cool. We were positively surprised and had a great experience. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were SUPER busy but we tried to be kind and friendly and they returned with nothing but friendliness and kindness back The drinks were great and so was the key lime pie which they said is made is house!!! We had a great time and would suggest people to give it a try. Maybe they learned and changed after all those bad reviews. That is what life is about. Learning from our mistakes and giving second chances.

Aidy R.

Yelp
We have been visiting MM88 for over 30 years and have enjoyed its delicious food and beautiful transformation through the years. The food has always been our favorite in the Keys. We have taken all of our children, family and friends in hopes of sharing the amazing sights and great food. You can't beat it. Unfortunately, the restaurant was recently sold and despite the massive renovations and beautification, the menu was dwindled down to basic non-traditional Keys dishes and we are devastated. All of our favorite dishes like the onion crusted fish, lobster Mac and cheese, and tuna nachos are gone. Ughhhh... my heart is heavy. In good news, the Bloody Mary is still yum!! The view still makes me super happy though so if you're looking for a fabulous view and perhaps a great party venue, this is the spot. If you're looking for more traditional seafood dishes, keep moving. Old menu: PLEASE COME BACK!!

Xia H.

Yelp
I've been there few times, they had remodeled the entire place, very nice design with incredible view but unfortunately after we ordered $300 food the bugs kept coming to us and its gross. Sorry I would not take my friends again unless they do sth about the bugs and flies. Also took extremely long time to pay our bill, we had to walk the front desk to ask for the bill. I still gave 2 stars because of the location.

Andrea L.

Yelp
We started with the Oysters, Rock Shrimp tempura, the ceviche and Chicken wings. The oysters were really good. They felt fresh. The shrimp came with a sweet sauce and the perfect mayo sauce. Someone in the table said it reminded them to the one in Nobu (I've never been there so I wouldn't know) but that's just how good it was. I hated the ceviche, it tasted weird. For entrees we ordered the Florida crunch salad, Spicy tuna roll and Yellowtail roll. We requested the cucumber removed on the spicy tuna roll and for some weird reason the server said they couldn't. Both rolls were delicious. Pretty simple, just how we enjoy it. The salad has all this crunchy items on it, that you actually enjoy eating healthy. Also the blackened shrimp that we added to the salad was $10 usd and it literally came with 3. For dessert we ordered the Banana Fried Roti and I promise you I will come back just for this. Vibes in there were amazing, they had live music. It's a nice, clean and well kept place. Our server kind of sucked. The place is on the pricey side, but just like everything else in The Keys.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Perfect in every way!! Food was amazing, went back 2x. Had snapper ceviche both times. Got the fajitas the second time and the sauces were exceptional. Beautiful scenery, great atmosphere and love the table options in the sand. Romantic and scenic place to catch the sunset.

Larissa Q.

Yelp
Immaculate vibes. A must if you're visiting the area especially at sunset time. On the pricy side but the ambience is worth it. The desserts (key lime pie and banana roti) were great, pina colada tasty but not alcohol strong, and mai tai was strong and delicious.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Delicious food, relaxing vibe and great service their happy hour is great! The tuna nachos and guac are a MUST!!!

Eddie M.

Yelp
Food good, took long to post management was a dipshit didn't want to give wifi ,managers fault (only) employees said same we don't have it. So manager fault. Regardless drinks (holy fuck I'm soaring),only drank an inch. If management had given me the Wi-Fi I'd be much more positive. But I have to say the food and the drinks are out of this world. If I had the Wi-Fi it would have been posted so much sooner. The food was incredible, definitely would come back. I can't believe they don't have any f****** ketchup for French fries . What kind of f****** manager that running this Nephew had virgin Pina colada added his shot to the wife and sister in laws margarita. They're drunk as Fuke!!! The important thing we had a good time we had fun and manager wasent such a dick we could have more fun. Food great booze great.

Jose R.

Yelp
Been back here twice since the renovations and they are beautiful. Great place to watch the sunset with some live music. You can also just get a drink and apps at the bar which is spacious and has a great view of the ocean. The food is good; some dishes are better than others. We can tell the quality improved from first to second visit. The ceviche is delicious and fresh. I had the hogfish coconut encrusted with the key lime sauce and it was delicious. Food is pricey and would be nice if they offered a fish sandwich, burger or tacos; nothing is really handheld for dinner time. Not a fan of their mixed drinks but draft beer selection on tap is great. Service still needs improvement. My son's Mac and cheese came out last, we were eating in the dark without being offered a table light when other's had one and took a while to find waitress to pay. Overall, if I can give this place 3 and half stars I would because ambiance is truly the keys life and I will go back but the service and drinks need improvements.

Bryan V.

Yelp
My wife and I had 24 hours to kill in South Florida before our flight home. We decided to drive through the Keys to catch a nice dinner with views. I hopped on YouTube and found someone who reviewed this place. The sunset views (in the video) ALONE won us over. We decided to head here for our "last dinner in Florida". Boy, this place did NOT disappoint. There is not a bad view of the ocean in the entire restaurant! There was someone singing and strumming a guitar over the water, which we LOVED. A place geared much more towards families or a nice date night. This is not your typical waterfront restaurant where it's more of a party/bar atmosphere. If that's your thing, skip this place. Overall ambiance here is a solid 10/10. Everything on the menu is made in house, from scratch. I had the Key Lime Seafood (an array of seafood on a bed of rice) and my wife had the Sirloin Fajitas (waitress recommendation). Both were fabulous! Well portioned and VERY flavorful! We ended with the classic Key Lime Pie, which had the perfect amount of tart. I was so impressed with the overall experience, I wanted to find this place the next time we come back. So, I decided to write this review so I can resort back here to remember the name. Well done Marker 88! We will definitely be back on our next trip to South Florida!

Mike R.

Yelp
Food and ambience were great. The mosquitoes were a bear!! Seriously though, the coconut crusted hogfish was excellent. Cooked perfectly and a very large portion. Wasn't expecting that much fish. Service was great and friendly. Great local restaurant!!

Jessica R.

Yelp
Amazing views and great breeze. The presentation of the food was amazing but the quantity of what you get for the price was disappointing. The waitress didn't seem very happy, she wasn't mean just very interested in just serving and that's it. Not much personality. Maybe it was an off day but there were not a lot of people there when we went. For the price being paid for food and drinks I expect the service to be much better than it was. The greeter when you first walk in was very welcoming. We would stop back even if just for the views and outdoor eating.

Sam L.

Yelp
It was our last night in Key Largo and found this beautiful restaurant right off the water. Not only was the place nice but the food and service was excellent. We ordered the grand poobah to start off with and it was huge. Yes it was a bit pricey but it was fresh and delicious. We also had the key lime seafood and curry snapper plus I had the hog fish which was the fresh catch of the day. Great family place and make sure to take pictures in the doc.

Jerry W.

Yelp
Wow. Very nice place. Staff was super friendly. Drinks and food were outstanding. Great views of the water on large tree shaded patio. Highly recommend.

Martaleida P.

Yelp
Mile Marker 88 has been one of my favorite places for Key Lime Pie. Today we stopped by and it's clear that something has changed. It continues to be a beautiful setting and a prime spot for a Florida Keys' Sunset... but please bring back the home made merengue Key Lime pie you use to serve.

Jon C.

Yelp
Overpriced food. Added shrimp to my salad ($10+$1 for blackened) and only got 3 medium shrimp. Bottle of beer was $7 Service was nice but difficult to get the check because the bartender was alone and making drinks for the whole restaurant (which wasn't crowded) Views are spectacular. Live music was pleasant, typical keys tiki bar music..

Javier G.

Yelp
We showed up before 6pm on a Saturday. 2 adults, and 2 small children). There were people at the bar, but only a couple of tables were occupied. They initially wanted to seat us in the sun (it was about 90 out that day), so we asked if we can get something with more shade. They then offered us a high top. We asked if the high chairs would be high enough for the high top, and they said "no", so they had to seat us somewhere else. Maybe they thought the 2 year old we brought with us was a loaner from the parking lot? We figured it would only take a few minutes since almost all the tables were available, but we then proceeded to wait over 20 minutes before we were seated. The good news is that they sat us at another table...that was also directly in the sun. The waitress was a real sweetheart, but everything takes sooooo long (the 20+ minute wait to be seated should have tipped us off). We must have pissed someone off when we had the gall to request shade, because we were never provided the little fans they gave everyone else to keep the flies away (even after we asked). As for the food: it was OK. Not bad, but not great (especially considering the price). All in all: the view is very nice, but not nice enough to put up with the wait, sweat, sunburn, flies, and mediocre food.

Yelp
Came on a friend's recommendation but was hesitant given marginal yelp rating. I was very impressed. Great spot for sunset dinner looking over the gulf. Food was great. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
We love this restaurant so much that we drive over 1 1/2 to eat there, the dishes are original and all of them are great except the Key Lime Pie, it's way to tart and there's no hint of condensed milk which is what makes them so much better. The ambiance transports you to a Carribean island and try and be there for the Sunset, it's worth it. The service is the kind you wish for in every restaurant.

Yelp
What a cool place. We tried this late Sunday afternoon- place was hopping! We decided to sit at the bar since the wait for 2 without reservations was at least an hour. It was a beautiful day with lots of sun. The 2 bartenders were doing an amazing job with drinks for the entire restaurant and the bar, food service and a large group of local ppl. I had the kiwi gun drink (yum!) and my husband had the Islamorada IPA. He ate the mahi club and I had the grilled chicken bowl. Both came out quickly and were really good. We ended with the key lime pie on the suggested of a friend. Come and enjoy the food and amazing view!

Yelp
Our first time here and we loved it!! What made it extra special besides the gorgeous view and the delicious food was our very wonderful server by the name of Mendi! She did her utmost best to make sure that we enjoyed our dining experience there! Marker 88 is so lucky to have her as their representative. She was excellent! We got to sit in those old school rocking tables, which was a blast! We had our little Chihuahuas, Lucky n Love, with us and they got to stretch out and then doze off comfortably. We appreciate that Marker 88 is dog friendly. We ordered the special of the day, the Lobster omlette with potatoes and the French Toast with Bacon and Iced Mocha coffee. Both were so delicious!!! What a great lunch/brunch. We definitely plan to go back on our next trip to the Keys! Beautiful location, beautiful trees, ocean, and the best service in town! Don't miss this spot!!

Yelp
Great ambience, every seat has an ocean view. There is a walkway out into the ocean that gives a great view of the sunset. The fajitas were great. I had the chop salad and the dressing was so good.
